    Half Sweet Spicy-8pc
    Steven Z.

It's pretty hard to find good KFC outside of Pelicana in Seattle, so I had to give this place a try. I got the sweet and spicy Korean Fried Chicken half item. When they say "half", they mean the entire half of the chicken. Some of the pieces are HUGE. I'm impressed that they somehow prepared those pieces to still be tender after frying! Quality - 4.5/5. Great flavor, decent crisp on the outside, tender enough on the inside. Not an overwhelming amount of sauce. Service - 3.5/5. Took 25 minutes for my order, and I was the only one in the shop. They must have made it from scratch. FYI - Sweet and Spicy is not spicy at all (coming from an Asian who lost his spice tolerance :P)

Haven't tried the food but I called to make an order and he said they didn't do phone food orders, ok I get that but then he just hung up on me right after.. THIS WAS AT 1104. Ok cool. I'm hungry n had my mindset on this place so I go. It's inconveniently a small place. Oh cool, again. I place my order at 11:19 on their kiosk. As im waiting in their restaurant for my food, this man comes up to the man I spoke with on the phone.( I know it's him bc he is the only guy out of the 2 men there, that was rude. A Hispanic man and the Asian man. ) this customer comes up to the Asian saying "I asked you guys to refrigerate my water, can I pls get it back". The man dismisses him.. walks off and ignores him. After a few more attempts the customer is comes to me, with a French accent letting me know that the Asian man won't give him his water. I asked does it look like the rest of the water bottles?, he says no. Now I go up to Asian guy and he also tries to dismiss me. But yeah no not happening. Asian man says there is no water - I'm pointing to it then all of a sudden he sees it.. ok cool X3. He checks in with the Mexican cook if this is true- the cook agrees yes that is the French guys water. Like only if the Asian took his time with his customers.. this would've been a better experience. I'll update when my food comes. I got my food at 1140. No problem. They were sort of busy and there were only two workers there. Tbh the meat was juicy and I loved the coating on the chicken, however the sweet and spicy that I got was just ok. It was good but wasn't- really strange don't know how to describe it's like u want to keep eating but also don't.. service is a 1. Space is a 2. Food is a 5/10(2.5/5). Bringing this rate to a 1.8/5

My friend and I came here yesterday on our way to Baiten we were getting chicken to go as we knew would be eating our dessert first and bringing or chicken back to the office but we knew we would try a couple pieces for sure there while it was still hot. Took about 20 minutes and came out freshly fried which was nice compared to another Korean chicken place I had been to recently. We split the Whole Sweet & Spicy-16pc. We thought about getting two flavors but this was the most cost efficient. I snapped a few shots and dug in right away to eat a piece hot. My friend spent more time getting the right shots. The guy behind the counter was very sweet my guess is the owner he gave us some paper plates and a couple of complimentary bottles of water. Chicken was crispy and interior moist we liked the flavor better than another place we had tried in the neighborhood. It wasn't overly spicy. My friend asked to have them split into two boxes which they did. She also asked for the sauce on the side so it wouldn't lose it's crispiness by the time we got back the office but it was tossed in the sauce. They gave a way more generous amount of pickled daikon than other places which I appreciated. We would definitely return for the great chicken and customer service. So many KFC places popping up lately this is located above the QFC right next to Oink.

Half Sweet & Spicy-8pc and French Fries(Shoestring Battered)

I ordered the half sweet & spicy and the regular fries through Uber eats. There was a good ratio of sauce and the chicken was juicy. I liked the sauce a lot but it's more sweet than spicy so some more heat would've made it better. The portions are larger than expected and this fed me for 2 decently filling meals. I will say the fries were extremely oily which was evident from eating it and also the oil saturated box they came in. The food here doesn't deliver as well as other fried chicken places I've ordered from. The boxes they use have cut outs for ventilation but they didn't pop them out so my food was pretty soggy by the time they got to me, and even the boxes were literally wet from condensation.

    Radish with bug flavor

I have had this place's fried chicken with radish quite frquently and that comes to a stop after today. I noticed that there was something inside the radish container that I don't think should be there. If you are not a big fan of bugs inside your food, I suggest you look for food elsewhere..

The chicken was delicious. I'm addicted to Korean fried chicken and they did not disappoint. The original and sweet and spicy were both good but if I had to pick one it's the sweet and spicy. The rice cake appetizer was my favorite though I could eat this all say.

This is a new-ish spot on Cap Hill. It sits right above the QFC on Broadway. There's seating inside, and you can place your order and pay through a tablet-style screen that automatically sends your order to the kitchen. To start, we got the cheese corn and the fries. Both were great. The corn was so, so, so, SO tasty and cheesy, and the fries were crispy and fresh. For the entree, we got the pepper garlic boneless chicken and the chicken mayo bowl. The pepper garlic sauce was delicious, and the chicken was juicy on the inside and still crispy on the outside even though it was covered in sauce. The chicken mayo bowl was similarly good; we did wish we had an option to make it spicy, but it was still very flavorful and portioned well. Chicken Factory may not have many reviews yet since it opened recently, but I implore you to give this place a chance. It really is great.

Always trying to find the best Korean Fried Chicken in Seattle and this is my new one! What makes this place standout is that the chicken stays extra crispy despite the large amounts of sauce on it. The Pepper Garlic flavor is my favorite; it is mostly sweet with a hint of spiciness to it. A definite must try if you love fried chicken !

I only got the fries. I love beer battered shoe string fries but they weren't that at all. Tasted good, though! Thought I'd leave a review so people know what to expect

    Slimy, oily boneless wings.

Sure, It's food, but good food, not even close. I ordered the boneless sweet and spicy wings. They arrived soggy, grayish in color and overall just an oily mess. Who knows how old this "chicken" is. Not a dish I would wish on anyone except the garbage bin. I'm still shocked at how bad these were.

This place has potential. The chicken is cooked to order, crispy, and the sauce has decent flavor. That said, it is completely lacking salt. The employee has a headphone in and pretty much ignores you - we had to shout to get his attention and he seemed confused why we were asking for salt. We watched another person come in, ask a question, be ignored, and walk out frustrated. I pointed it out to the employee and he just kind of shrugged. Improve the flavor and the service and this place would be really good. As it is I can't imagine it lasting long. One health concern: he seemed to be reusing a batter bowl for the wet batter for the chicken. This made me nervous as a potential hazard unless it is being washed regularly.

Super solid place for Korean fried chicken! My first time trying Chicken Factory was in Hawaii and I knew I had to try this local one when it opened. TLDR - The chicken is fireee. Perfect crispiness on the outside while juicy and tender on the inside. As it should be. I usually go for the creamy onion one but the sweet and spicy was definitely my favorite here. The mac and cheese balls could have been more crispy but I see the difficulty in retaining that crunch in a to go order. Otherwise, the flavor is solid and it's a great addition as a side. I also liked that they package the sauce on the side so you can add more or less per your liking. This was also great for leftover as coated chicken tends to get soggy. Small detail I really appreciated.

Whole Chicken (sweet & spicy) -16pc Macaroni and Cheese Bites French Fries(shoestring battered)

As a fellow South Korean American, it is so dope to see this new restaurant in Capital Hill. And it's always great to see fellow Koreans getting their business opportunity out here locally! That being said, I HAVE to give a fair and honest review. Since this is the first review on Yelp for this spot, I will break it down thoroughly. TLDR; you must eat here, it's amazing food at amazing value! - Speed: 8/10 I ordered the Mac&Cheese Balls, fries, and 16pc chicken (sweet and spicy). It took roughly 20 minutes for the food to be completed. I was the only customer in the store at the time. All of the food came out extremely fresh and handmade. A lot of small local spots will cut corners. I can tell these guys do not! So I appreciate the fact that freshly made cuisine was delivered in only 20 minutes. Considering I ordered a good amount and all of which have different cooking processes, I think the delivery was quick. - Quality/taste: 8/10 The food tasted great. The chicken was cooked perfectly. Nice, tender, and juicy with a great amount of crispness to compliment the textures. The chicken I got had some kind of weird cuts of meat. But the meat was all in tact, so I can't complain. The fries may have been the best basic French fries I've ever had for the price. At $5.99, I was surprised that they were so perfectly executed. The mac balls could have been crispier but tasted great. The Mac was still moist, and wasn't dried out even being deep fried. The sweet and spicy sauce was good, but lacked the spice I wanted. I couldn't taste spice. So that would be my main critique so far. But it was still a delicious sweet chili/garlic type of flavor! - Price: 8/10 For all of what I ordered, it cost about $40 before tax. The chicken pieces were large and had plenty of meat. Some places have pieces of chicken with less meat. This place doesn't. The Mac and cheese being only $5.99 as well, I got a good portion that could literally substitute a full meal, even though it's an appetizer. No way you can complain about that!! Finally, the fries. I got a whole big container filled to the brim. It's more fries proportionate to the price, than fast food. So basically it's better value than McDonalds and is also better quality; insane! Overall, it's an obvious 8/10 rating. If you're in the area or even anywhere closer to Seattle than Federal Way. You should be coming here for your Korean fried chicken needs! This place was amazing! Especially for a new place!

The menu and experience differ between lunch and dinner, and this is my lunch review. Simply put, lunch is much more casual and affordable than dinner (You order lunch scanning the QR code at the table). If you're on a budget, you can eat lunch here for less than $20. I went here for lunch twice during my business trip last month and here's what I ordered: - Seafood Tofu Soup - $17.50 - A seafood soondoobu (순두부) with a generous helping of soft tofu, shrimp, mussels and clam, served with rice. Delicious, refreshing and not spicy-I bet they could make it spicy if you asked. I enjoyed the texture from the cabbage bits. - Seolleongtang (설렁탕) - $15.50 - Oxtail bone broth served with potato starch noodles and brisket, comes with salt and green onion already added(typically doesn't at other Korean restaurants). High-quality ingredients and flavor, a great comfort food with a generous serving of brisket. - Shaved ice dessert (빙수) - $9.00 - A great combination of cinnamon, ginger cream and fried rice puffs. Delicious and different than other Korean shaved ice desserts I've had that typically have red bean and overly sweet ingredients. If you're on the fence about coming here, maybe try out lunch first. Lunch is more casual, affordable and simpler than dinner, but is delicious and high-quality. You should come here for dinner too, and I'll post about my dinners here soon.

I dislike the more common 'elevated' where a restaurant makes changes such as swapping meat cuts from traditional recipes to something wagyu without any added thought or creativity in the process. Not at Paju. They are Koreans elevating Korean dishes. The dishes are refined and well-honed. Their creativity shows they know what they are doing. Plating is thoughtful. The restaurant itself is modernly elegant, great for date nights. Note the restaurant is quiet and elegant; perhaps they have a private room for loud celebrations. Staff was helpful with my questions. Food was available in a timely manner. The Food: Octopus, $27 - 5 Stars Served with smoked trout roe and dashima beurrie blanc sauce, this dish is visually attractive and absolutely delicious! One of our top dishes of the night. Paju Fried Rice, $27 - 4 Stars Cooked with kimchi, bacon, squid ink, and quail egg, this dish is one of their most popular dishes. I find squid ink to have a subtle earthy type of sea-umami flavor. The bacon and kimchi are a touch stronger in this combination. It's a good dish, but amongst our five dishes, this one ranked the lowest. Mushrooms, $23 - 5 Stars Served with parmesan cheese shaved so thin it's translucent, white kimchi, and truffle aioli, this dish is the bomb! Excellent for the mushroom lovers, it might convert mushroom haters, too. Lol. Another top dish of the night. Branzino Gui, $51 - 4 Stars Served with four banchan, this dish stands out for its execution - impeccably grilled and plated. The fish is very tender and perfectly cooked. I do think it is a bit plain for the price. Branzino is fairly common in different parts of the world. Ranked 4th for the night. Duck - 5 Stars Duck breast is served with a slice of duck and pistachio pastry plus four banchan. The duck is super tender. The pastry is clever utilizing other bits of duck meat. The simple sauce is very important, adding flavor to the pastry. Also delicious.

The staff is gracious, prompt, professional, and - I hope no one objects when I say this - rather attractive. Generous portions and reasonable prices for what you're getting. The food is nothing sort of legendary - bold flavors and dishes have the perfect balance of sweet, heat, savory, and umami. THE THORNS: None significant enough to mention. NEITHER ROSE NOR THORN: It is important to note that this place is insanely popular with the area's Korean community. The restaurant is quite busy Thursday thru Sunday, and significant waits for a table are likely. Monday thru Wednesday is your best time for going and getting a table without a wait. The price of some dishes, like their signature offering, Kalbijjim, might give you a pause ($80+). It is important to keep in mind this is made to order, and one serving can easily serve four regular appetites. If you're just a couple, you're definitely going to be taking this home with you. This is not a bad thing, as Kalbijjim is one of those dishes that is even better the next day and doesn't suffer from reheating. THE VERDICT: Daeho Kalbijjim is extremely popular, and it's not hard to see why. The execute authentic Korean cuisine pretty much flawlessly with efficient and charming service. The first time I visited, the quality of the meat cuts didn't impress me, and the soups lacked depth of flavor. I'm not talking about needing more salt--the broth itself just tasted flat. When you're paying close to $30 for a bowl of soup, I think it's reasonable to expect a higher level of quality and care to ingredients. The second visit was a mixed experience. To be fair, I was in the wrong. There is a clearly posted policy stating that your entire party must be present before being seated. My group was about seven minutes away, and since I had already checked in on Yelp and there were only two parties ahead of me with no one physically waiting, I asked if I could be seated and order while I waited. I had already been standing inside for about 10 minutes. I was told that although tables were available, seating me ahead of the other parties on the waitlist would be unfair. I understood the reasoning, but she had also asked prior for my order. Her explanation left me confused so i sheepishly said I understood the policy. She already seemed upset by the time i had gotten there. Sometimes we have off days i get that. This place is clearly hit or miss, I've got friends who absolutely swear by it. For me, though, it wasn't anything special and didn't justify the price. If you're looking for Korean food in the area, I've had better experiences with higher-quality dishes elsewhere, especially in Lynnwood.

I've tried galbitang at other places, but there was an umami that many didn't have. All the banchan were flavorful too, I thought the kimchi had a good balance as sometimes it can be a bit on the saltier side. Service was great too, the sever was friendly and checked often. When I went, it was just me then a couple arrived. There was a delay with their order so she provided some mandu on the house while their order was being prepared. Once they received their order, I heard the couple tell the sever that everything was very good multiple times- their food did look good! I recommend checking this place out especially with the new ownership. Menu looks similar from previous owners, but will for sure go back and try something else!
