They put the salad in its own Togo enclosure so you get that extra scoop of rice. They don't skip on the sauce either. I was able to scoop sauce on to my rice to enhance the flavor even more. A co worker have introduced me to Teriyaki Madness located on Capitol Hill. First of all i had (2) Chickens Teriyaki from them. One was delivered by my co worker fresh last December & that was the first time I had their teriyaki. That box of chicken were loaded to almost you can't close it. It was so good. The chicken wea so juicy and lots of sauce on them. The 2nd time was last week and it was kinda less and it was bought a day before, but again I just nuke it and them chicken was still juicy, but you can tell it was not fresh. The portion was also lot less. I guess inflation and high cost of meat. But it was still good, but not as good as the first time. I am still a fan of them . I love having this as my local teriyaki place! They get a great light char on the chicken with a nice sticky sauce and fluffy rice. I usually get the plain chicken teriyaki order; I've gotten the spicy teriyaki before but found it's better if you add your own Sriracha to the regular one. I've only done take out here and the place doesn't seem set up for dine-in. It's a small hole-in-the-wall that's definitely popular with locals. Ordering online is quick and easy and the order is usually ready within ~15 minutes. There's limited street parking only in this area but I've never had trouble finding a nearby spot to run in and grab my food. read more

The portion is generous and could last me 2-3 meals. The meat is freshly grilled as well (got this tip from J. Kenji Lopez-Alt: you can tell chicken has been pre-chopped and reheated when there's sauce coating the sides of each slice as well as the outside). There is ample space for dining in on a typical weeknight. The General Tso's chicken contained peas and green beans, which my friend was unable to eat because of a legume allergy. Luckily, the owner was quick to remake the dish without any additional charge. My group also lingered until they were putting chairs up and about to close, but at no point were we rushed to leave. Tried this place twice. Chicken was so dry an rubbery, walked in around 8:20 well before closing time which was at 9pm. Asian guy in kitchen was staring me down hard as i was ordering as to hurry up. He suggested a soup (I guess because it was the quickest thing to make) which i definitely wouldn't have ordered. All the chairs were up on the tables ready for closing. I wanted to sit and eat as I had just had a 4 mile walk but they insisted i ordered take out only as they were "closing soon". I asked if I can sit and eat and they said no sorry we're closing soon. Food was ready around 8:30 which could have given me plenty of time to sit and eat, but my food was given to me in a plastic bag and there was definitely some hostility given to me for wanting to eat there. The ordering process itself on the other hand can be wonky sometimes, or so it seems.
