Came for seattle restaurant week lunch $35 for agedashi tofu, chirashi and a green tea tiramisu. Great portions! Didn't realize they validate parking up the hill so found street parking nearby. Server was very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. Bright and spacious interior.

Wow, Fuji Sushi in Seattle's International District ("Chinatown") has been around for a while. All my years growing up here and I've never tried it. Its located next to a building for senior housing. Normally Chinatown is famous for dim sum, dinner banquets, and noodle soup. They had more Vietnamese options these days and always maintained Japanese places too. We came here without reservations for a party of five. Parking is limited of course, but head up the hill next to the restaurant and they're a pay lot on the left. Free validation for 2 hrs by QR code inside the restaurant. Inside. a huge, modern looking restaurant with both a sushi and alcohol bar. Plenty of tables on a Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised they offered free banchan (pickled Veggies, a Korean specialty) for everyone. For entrees, I recommend mix and match bento. Their teriyaki chicken, teriyaki salmon, and short rib are all delicious and cooked perfectly. They give a lot of tempura too, both shrimp and veggies. It was probably my first time seeing tempura okra, and it works. All crispy and not gooey. Definitely on my list for our next time back to Seattle.

You know, I am not exactly sure what about my experience felt off but from the moment we arrived to the time we left, I just wished I had chosen another sushi restaurant in Belltown. The environment and vibe was just off. Our server didn't do anything wrong, but the service was just off. The food was good but the environment and energy was off. The interaction from staff to customers really plays a significant role into the entire experience not just the quality of the food. Being engaged and attentive makes a huge difference. We were just there. They were just there and we happened to be eating. Just wasn't the vibe I wanted for $230+. Price wasn't an issue but I've had better interactions and experiences in Seattle at sushi restaurants and this just wasn't a good experience. 3 stars because the food we ate tasted delicious.

3.5 stars Fuji restaurant is a airy restaurant tucked away in Japantown. The interior is inviting and modern, and the staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. We showed up with hungry bellies and a baby in a stroller on a Monday at 1pm. The hostess cleared off a table for us so that we could have more room in a quieter part of the restaurant, even though there were plenty of unoccupied tables. The same hostess also held the door open for us as we left. The food was ok. I'm not sure we'd go out of our way to go back. We had: tempura, chicken karaage, delux sushi, cherry blossom roll, lober volcano roll, and ultimate dragon roll. The tempura and chicken karaage was great! The sushi fell short. The seasoning was off, making much of the rolls a little bland. The rice also felt old- it was too hard and dry to be fresh rice, and it wasn't seasoned enough and couldn't stand up to the fish. Almost like the nigiri rice was formed in the morning, and then the fish plopped on top when the time came. It was really unfortunate because clearly the chef and owners put a lot of care and attention into the dishes. They were presented beautifully, but it just didn't taste as good as it looked. I think I would give them another try- we really enjoyed everything else about our dining experience, and are willing to accept maybe they were just having an off hour.

Visited Fuji Sushifor Seattle Restaurant Week and left absolutely stuffed! We ordered two different restaurant week menu options and left with a large to-go box of food. Our favorites were the crispy rice spicy tuna, spicy sunset roll, and green tea tiramisu. The service was very friendly and the space was cozy on a rainy night. The restaurant week deal is definitely good value, especially in comparison to other restaurant week menus around the city.

Came in Oct 30th during their seattle restaurant week. This place was such a hit! For their 50$ deal, you can get an appetizer, any 3 rolls on their menu, and dessert! The Godzilla, killer salmon, and volcano lobster were the favorites. As a group of 5, I think Zuri was our server, her and the team gave us top tier service, and were helpful in recommendations. If you're looking for a modern, clean, and friendly sushi restaurant. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you're in the area.

The food is great, I was really surprised about the portion. For the size the quality is great and it's got a nice aesthetic to it, I would come here again and recommend for anyone looking for reasonably priced food. Overall fine service as well.

I've always enjoyed eating here. Didn't realize they have parking behind the restaurant!

Pictures don't lie! They added some new lunch specials including the grilled black cod that comes with udon + miso soup + salad + sashimi + tempura + side dishes + little dessert!!! For $30!!! They also offer lunch bentos where you can add your two entrees. The interior is so cute and you can also reserve the private room as well. We got our food fast and service was always attentive. Highly recommend if you want a bite of everything !

Fuji Sushi is a MUST when you're in Chinatown! Everything is always authentic and there's something for everyone. I'm on a mission to try every thing on the menu... slowly but surely... Staff here are amazing. Our servers answered all our questions and were extremely attentive to us. I happened to recognize one of the sushi chefs here from the Seattle U cafeteria 10 years ago. Luis is killin it in the kitchen! So good running into you again Luis and I will be back to visit. :)

My family and I enjoy coming here, especially for the lunch specials! They have such a good bento. The chicken katsu is my go to. Their nigiri set is amazing as well. You can really taste the quality of the fish. Also it feels very 90s, and they play great music. One of my favorite casual sushi spots in the city. The staff take great care of you. My only gripe is that i wish they had better tea options!

Parking can be a little tough. Came on a Sunday early lunch. We ordered everything under the Sun. The sashimi was sooo good. Uni was good also. Adegashi tofu among best I've ever eaten. Ambiance--quiet Staff--really nice.

They don't take phone calls or reservations online - very old school. Which I think makes it more desirable. We ended up getting a special room with a "chabudai" style table! I was super excited because I've never experienced it before. What I did find pleasant was that although it was a lower table, there was an opening beneath the table that allowed your legs to hang rather than having to sit Indian style. Tyson was an amazing server. Was attentive, accommodated our allergies and was thoughtful with us having a young child. He was so pleasant and polite! We enjoyed the following: Baked miso glazed eggplant - YUM and melts in your mouth. Black Miso Cod Collar - this was pleasantly surprising and so delicious. Eat bite was tender and flavorful. Simple yet so appetizing. Sushi rolls were both fresh and well prepared. The nigiri was also great and fresh- not fishy. We additionally ordered takoyaki - which I normally don't love but this one was very tasty and I enjoyed the texture. Lastly karage chicken which came with a creamy slaw. Overall it was such a pleasant experience and we look forward to coming back!

Decent portions of rice lathered in sweet curry with the protein of your choice - not too shabby. A bit pricey in my opinion, but it does scratch that itch. My wife and I ordered both the pork and chicken cutlets with the curry and rice. Presentation of the food was on point, and there's enough for both the rice partnership and the cutlets for dipping purposes. The sweet and warm Japanese curry felt like a welcomed hug on a cold and brisk May afternoon. The biggest complaint was actually the cutlets - despite a nice crunch to it, something felt a little off. Like the cutlets were a bit old or were previously reheated or something. I had to drench each slice with curry to fully enjoy the meal. At the end of the day, two regular-sized curry dishes actually made us quite full and content. We left feeling stuffed and warm - the perfect combination for a chilly spring day. I would say this was a bit pricey for my liking, but what isn't pricey these days in this economy? Solid 4 stars!

I sat at the sushi bar as it was just myself. For lunch, I opted in for the Power Lunch and it was fantastic. Served with 5 pieces of nigiri, seared salmon, miso soup, salad, edamame and more. The salad is great with the ginger dressing and the miso soup was flavorful with tofu. The nigiri was fresh and flavorful. Also got a shrimp tempura roll which was great with tempura shrimp and fresh avacado. Overall no complaints here. There are so many dishes I want to try and will be back soon for more.

For what this place is, I think it's great! The prices are really good considering all that you get and the quality of sushi is pretty good considering the price as well. I was pleasantly surprised to see their combos come with additional appetizers like the agadashi tofu, the salad with dressing choices, and miso soup. The chicken katsu definitely had more meat and a thinner layer of breading as an FYI. I ordered the sushi combo for 38 dollars and got great tasting sushi for that price. Overall, I'd recommend this place if you want somewhere casual with good options and little extra items mixed in with your meals. It's definitely not like Umi, or Shirros but you're also paying like 1/3 to 1/2 the price. I definitely see myself returning when I want a quick or convenient bite to eat (it's one block from my home).
