I finally had the chance to stop in a few weeks ago, but it was somewhat a disappointment. The drink I preordered online was not ready and the taste of the Logan drink had left me confused. This is my second visit in 2 days! I walked here yesterday with a friend who lives down the street. What a wonderful surprise! I didn't have time to looked the menu and it is not easily posted (taking a star for that), so I ordered what my friend ordered. I got a Corn latte, something I've never heard of. Upon my second trip I reviewed the small menu a little more and still never saw it on there, but the very nice young lady said they still have everything to make it. It's such a unique amazing drink. It's creamy and has the perfect amount of sweetness. You instantly want to devour it, but I took my time and really savored my drink in the bright inviting ambiance of the restaurant. There are plenty of places to sit including a large round table for meeting with a group. I saw someone on both trips going around along wiping tables down. I will say I did find it a bit odd how many different chairs they had... I spotted at least 4 different chairs. Anyways... great drinks, great space, great service, and great music! read more

Walking distance from our airbnb in fremont although if you're driving, there's not a lot of parking. Was intrigued by an instagram post. The prices are a little steep but I was pleasantly surprised. We ordered a sesame latte and a gloomy matcha. I would say that the gloomy matcha was a little sweet for my taste but I felt that the sesame cream balanced it out. The sesame latte was really good. I've been to Aroom a number of times and tried a handful of their drink offerings, such as the Saigon Brown, Nutty Cloud, and the Sesame Latte, both hot and iced, and every beverage that I've tried is very good. The only drawback is that it's beverages are on the sweeter side due the condensed milk. The Nutty Cloud is probably my favorite, because while it's sweet it packs a surprisingly peanut-buttery flavor which is unexpected from a cup of coffee. It's delightfully surprising. While I much more prefer hot drinks, I feel like Aroom's coffee is best when it's iced, because the ice waters down some of the sweetness, which balances out the flavors a bit more. Aside from the coffee, which is very good, there are a handful of various pastries which are okay. I wouldn't set Aroom as a destination for such things, but it's a nice complement to the coffee. It's a nice place to study/relax at. There's a minimalist feels with a nice mixture of earthy, brown, colors, which complement the white walls and concrete well. It's a cool spot to get coffee and it had excellent Vietnamese coffee. read more

This place is a must go-to cafe in my list for a coffee drinker like me. I would highly recommend this place to all my Viet buddies since we never found a place that got such an authentic Viet coffee before. Love the Sesame Latte!! The sesame topping never too sweet which is perfect. Even better when they do have my childhood's dishes serving on the weekend, so far I tried "Banh Mi" a signature Vietnamese sandwich and "Sup Cua" a type of Vietnamese Soup which is a great dish to have during the winter. This cafe is AMAZING!! I was only visiting Seattle for a few days and I ended up coming here three times. I'm normally pretty skeptical when a cafe makes Vietnamese coffee because it rarely ever tastes authentic, but Aroom has perfected its Vietnamese coffee. My favorite coffee drinks are the Saigon brown, egg coffee, and sesame latte. The house cake with pate/pork floss filling is a pretty good snack, but the food item that blew my mind was the xôi nấm (sticky rice). This is a dish that I grew up eating and Aroom's reminded me of my mom's home cooking. I can't recommend this cafe enough! read more

Seriously one of my favorite spots, it's super aesthetic and they have yummy drinks. Perfect if you want to dress up and go to a nicer coffee place on a gloomy rainy day to get some serotonin. My usual order is the sesame latte- it has a delicious nutty black sesame topping with creamy coffee underneath. I've also tried their coconut coffee- their drinks are definitely on the sweeter side as they are Vietnamese inspired, and tend to have a lot of ice so just be sure to ask for light ice. I want to try the sesame latte in the hot version next time I go. I am always willing to make the drive here, it's super close to the zoo so this is always a pit stop for us. You can usually find street parking within a block of the place. Other items I've had here: - Cream Cheese Housecakes 4.5/5: tastes like a pancake with melted cream cheese in the middle. - Bahn Mi 4.5/5: very dense with lots of pate/pork, be sure to ask them to cut it in half. - Xoi Man 5/5: they used to serve it on the weekends and it would be sold out by 10am. This by far was my favorite item, savory sweet sticky rice with Chinese sausage, pork floss, dried shrimp, hard boiled quail egg, fried egg, green onions etc. with fish sauce on the side. I have nothing but positive things to say about Aroom. They have pictures of every one of their drinks online and when you enter the cafe you step into a very minimal and super ascetically pleasing looking cute space. Everybody inside is super welcoming and happy that you are there. I wasn't sure what to get so they recommended something they thought I will like and offered to make something else in case my drink wouldn't be something that I like. I tried the Sesame Latte and it was delicious!! We also got the coconut coffee which we would also order again. Their prices seem normal for Seattle. While walking out I noticed that they also have a little outside area which looks perfect for a nice catch up with 1-2 friends in the summer. Not a lot of space but great for 2 small groups. Loved it. These were new flavors for me so I don't have a benchmark to compare to but by themselves they were amazing. Little pricey but such tasty drinks. My favorite was their sesame latte. But surprisingly the egg coffee was amazingly tasty. It tastes custardy and not eggy. The Saigon browns and blacks had the perfect kicks. And the avocado one was very interesting. I would go there often with price being the only limiting factor (and the sweetness of some of the coffees including sesame latte). The cheese toast dish was interesting. Came here on a weekend morning around 9 am and there were a few open seats inside and a couple people in line. I ordered the Salty coffee and berry danish. It took much longer than I was expecting for my food and drink to come out, but the number of customers increased dramatically after I placed my order. By the time we got our food and drinks there was a line out the door! The berry pastry was yummy, albeit run of the mill. The salty coffee was so very yummy. It was definitely salty, but the sweet condensed milk/cream balanced it out. It was definitely a heavy drink. Very minimal and aesthetic inside, but could use a bit more work to get sturdier chairs and tables that don't wobble. I had to try this place out after seeing it on Instagram. Parking around the shop wasn't great and I had to circle around the block a few times to find street parking. This place is an aesthetic vibey dream and it has a super cute minimalist vibe. My sister and I ordered the gloomy matcha and the sesame latte. The drinks were both good. The coffee was strong in the latte and paired well with the sesame. It reminded me a lot of my childhood eating sesame rice balls for dessert. The gloomy matcha is basically the matcha version of the sesame latte. I think the sesame overpowered the matcha a a little bit, so I would probably get a different drink next time. Aroom lattes are Great! Buying drip or cold brew made with Robusta coffee beans,?..?! I won't recommend. I've had iced americano at coffeeholics( Vietnamese coffee place using Robusta also) and it was bad. However since it's so bold, it can stand up to dairy/flavoring/ syrup. Espresso based drinks made with Robusta beans are great. I went to Aroom with my son while visiting Seattle a couple weekends ago. I had a drink called the gloomy matcha. It is a matcha made with something they call sesame cream. The drink was delicious all the way through! Aroom is not your classic PNW coffee shop in terms of the atmosphere. Things are sleek Asian meets mid century and minimal is the vibe. It looked great but wouldn't be a place I would feel like staying and getting comfortable which may be the point. Despite my thoughts on that the place was packed and it was impressive how quickly they got drinks out with their plastic buzzer system despite the crowd. Taking one star off because my drink was served almost tepid. Had to drink it fast so that it wouldn't get completely cold! I don't know if this is how they always serve this drink but mine could've been hotter. I will be goin back when I visit again in January and this time I will make sure to ask for it a bit warmer. read more
