Had to check this place out for lunch. I walked in and the first thing that hits you is the amazing smell coming from the rotissserie. The second thing is how spacious and clean this place is. you walk up to the counter and place your order and then the food is brought to your table. I ordered a 1/4 chicken, white along with mashed yellow portatoes and I wanted grilled veggies but they said that was not one of the sides that it comes with. That would have to be an extra side. Why they wouldn't just upcharge me for the veggies I have no idea so I got a salad. The service in this palce is exceptional and the staff is very friendly. My food arrives and the chicken looked really good. The skin was nice and crispy. I took a bite and it was very moist and flavorful. The mashed potato was alright. I thought it was a tad bit salty but the worst part is that it was cold. The salad was nice and fresh and I had it with maracuya (passion fruit) salad dressing and it was pretty good as long as you don't have them put too much on because it is a bit sweet. read more

I had a hair appointment close by and was a little too early, so I stopped in the shopping center to see my options. I almost went somewhere else because of the bad Yelp reviews this restaurant has (mostly because of the service), I'm glad I didn't. I ordered a quinoa burger with sweet potato fries and a passion fruit juice, first time I had a quinoa burger and I loved it, loved the flavor! The sweet potato fries were really good too, my meal came with 3 sauces; an olive sauce, a Huancaina sauce and a green sauce. My husband who was also there with me ordered the chicken with rice and tostones, and he really enjoyed it. The service to us was good, I didn't have any complains. To be a weekday, the place was crowded, I noticed several policemen ordered food while we were eating. Next time I want to try something different, I hope is as good as what I had. read more

This place was disappointing. We went there because we thought we would be eating a delicious meal. It was an average meal and quite below average for the price. It felt like a Latin fast food restaurant with incomplete satisfaction. The chifa rice was not good at all. It was the one item that was barely touched by all three of us. The sauces for the chicken were limited in choice. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend the place. The servers were nice. The music was too loud. We regretted not sitting outside. I think that we should have realized that the foot traffic was slow there. That should have told us that people who work in that area don't even eat at that restaurant. Was in the neighborhood looking for a quick dinner for me and my son and noticed Aromas a la brasa which is owned by Aromas de Peru but a smaller version with other options in the menu including shakes, wraps, and burgers with a cheaper price as well. Decided to get down because I'm a huge fan of peruvian food and I wanted to give it a try. When I walked in they have most of the food cooked already which are the sides if you do decide to order chicken or steak they cook it fresh when order is placed. I had read some of the reviews while waiting for my food and saw one that read they had to wait 50 minutes for a simple plate, well that was not my experience. My order took about 15 minutes and the young man was very nice and let me sample the quinoa rice that they have as one of the sides. My order was two chicken breast on the grill and our two sides were white rice, white beans, and quinoa rice. It was delicious but was not so excited on the flavor of the white beans. The sauces that are a green sauce and yellow one were amazing. Will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. read more

I really hate to give 1 star especially since this is a newer edition of Aromas del Peru. This place is located in the same plaza as Aromas del Peru Hammocks. Came here because a friend of mine posted on Facebook of what looks like a Parrilla which is basically grilled/bbq meat. Came here on a Tuesday night and it was completely empty. But we ordered the Parrilla Peruvian BBQ for 2. Which comes with 2 skewers of heart, 1 whole grilled chicken, 1 churrasco, 1 chorizo and blood sausage, skirt steak, and 2 sides. Not bad for $38, except for the fact that it wasn't exactly tasty. The food arrived on a portable grill that wasn't even on, and our food was warm. I can definitely say that the grilled chicken is the best, next to the 2 skewers of heart. Our churrasco had a weird taste to it, and it actually tasted like Parmesan cheese more than it did taste like meat. On the plus side, they have pretty good service. The waitress was really attentive. This place is more of a fast food Chicken kitchen kind of place. read more

I love the chicken, arroz chaufa, and steak at Aromas a la Braza. The chicken which is juicy, flavorful, and delicious is huge step up from the other chicken restaurants (like PT). Also, the sauces that come with the chicken take it up another notch! The servings are good size too. The take out service has always been good and friendly, but once they forgot to add the beef in my rice and once they gave me another person's order. The portions of potatoes provided with the parrilla were shrunk in half and they changed the type of meats they are using that completely changed the flavor of the meal. The food is very good but i am sorry, I am not coming here anymore, today i ordered 1 chicken and the 2 sides, french fries, they send me the chicken in 2 boxes, and 2 boxes of fries. Each box had around 20 fries, you could see the bottom of the box, i called because i thought that it was a mistake however the lady on the phone told me right away that it wasnt her fault and she had nothing to do with it, i asked for a manager and she said that the person on charge was the guy at the kitchen. So I'll start off by saying that I am Peruvian and love Peruvian Food. Aromas a la Brasa was a very convenient location to dine after work and/or pick up food to take home for dinner. My family and I live in the area and as mentioned, we LOVE Peruvian Food. Last night, I had the worst customer service experience and it's such a shame, because the food does taste great and this small restaurant offers a variety of options from their menu to choose from. I placed my order at exactly 6:55 p.m. I ordered one dish, quinoa chaufa with beef and chicken. As my boyfriend and I sat at a table and conversed for over 30 minutes I then noticed my one dish, I was the only one at the restaurant, had not been served. I patiently continued waiting, as I waited , a family of 5 walked in, took a seat and placed their order, their appetizers and entrees we're delivered 15minutes from the time they had arrived... I at this point was beginning to lose my cool, I was hungry and felt disrespected. The older lady who works the register looked at me from the register, I was sitting, and screamed, "give mem 2 minutes". 10 minutes later, my food was served, so that's a total of 55 minutes to have my one dish served. I felt disrespected because at no time was I informed that there was a delay or that something happened with my order which I would've completely understood as I am in the hospitality field and I understand things happened. When she brought my dish, I brought it up to her attention and asked her if she thought it was right to wait 55 minutes for my chaufa order she said "well the chef burned your rice so we had to cook it again" I then responded, " I understand but I wasn't told any of this information" she then said "oh I see". The lady did not know what to say, I wanted a simple sorry, and acknowledgement that this was wrong. This type of service is so uncalled for and can easily be handled with a simple "I'M SORRY". Basically, she should've been sorry for wasting my time! One hour to wait for a plate of rice is by far ridiculous, especially when I'm the only one at the restaurant! This is extremely disrespectful to MY TIME! A freaking SORRY would've solved the entire situation. A FREAKING 2 DOLLAR ALFAJOR, Peruvian Pastry, while I wait for my dinner would've made me come back but with this service, I don't recommend it. It's not the first time I've had this occur! but this experience last night, just put the icing on the cake! I will NOT let my family continue ordering take out or dine at this location or restaurant ever again. read more

This place is a new version of aromas del peru, When you walk in it has like a buffet style with the sides. It has a variety of smoothies and green juices as well. I ordered the lomo saltado and a soup of lentils. Lentils had no flavor at all. Maracuya juice had a weird taste to it. The lomo saltado beed had a particular flavor as well. My boyfriend ordered the chicken with arroz chaufa and wow! The rice tasted like it was a week old and refried and refried to excess. This restaurant is by far the worst peruvian food i've tried. I tried their Pan Con Chicharrón and it was the best I had in awhile and definitely one of the best I tried in Miami. This little place has its own thing I went for pollo a la brasa and the chicken was tender and juicy with huge flavor the French fries soft and crispy... when you go there ask for the creams, there are three different types which go really great with the chicken and the fries... at the end of our meal the chef complement us with Picarones and that is like donuts shower in a flavorful syrup... thnx chef... i recommend this place, informal yet unique. read more

My husband and I had burgers. I had the aromas burger and he had the one that's has an egg and plantains In it. I don't know the name. The burger were extremely salty. The burgers would of been amazing if they would of not been so overwhelmingly salty. We went late almost close to closing time. I think that might have had something to do with it. Horrible. I'm not one to complain but nobody greeted me and I waited a good 10 minutes until they acknowledged I was there the cashier and the manager looked at me and kept refilling toppings. I asked for a wrap and a tropicolada they made my wrap which they didn't really explained how many toppings I can get whatever that's not even the problem they were training the cashier with my wrap which is not a big deal but finally when the wrap is finished they said that's it right? I'm like well I'm waiting for a smoothie. I had to wait 5 minutes and they come up to me and said they didn't have coconut milk. I'm like well what do I do because I wanted a tropicolada which brought pineapples coconut and coconut milk? They said they can put the flakes im like no so I chose a different one called "mango tango I think it's called. It brought kiwi mango and some other fruits. I waited a while and finally I got it and went straight to my car and took a sip it tasted nasty the color of the smoothie as you can see is brown no mango no kiwi it was disgusting. I returned it and i told them it didn't taste good and they gave a little attitude and they called I guess the assistant manager and she took forever to come. they didn't wanna give me my money back. They said I had to call my bank that it's not their problem I'm like well? I need my money back now. They gave it cash. I'm very very dissatisfied and disappointed because I'm Peruvian and I expected something great. I'm not really one to complain because I know we all make mistakes and things happen I used to be a manager at little caesars and Einstein's. This was very upsetting. Wow!! This place was simply amazing and delicious. Honestly... Yelp is made to look at reviews for advice but don't believe all the rude hype past customers have said about this restaurant. The pollo a la brasa is so yummy!! The server is a very sweet lady and she was very helpful. Parking is not an issue and wait time isn't so bad either. So my husband and I came here for the first time last night. First thing I noticed when we walked in was that there wasn't a single customer inside. That was weird to me considering it was a Saturday night. We told the staff we had never been there and they were very helpful in explaining to us the different food they offered. My husband ordered a churrasco with a side of the fried rice and a side of what looked like breakfast potatoes. Let me start by saying the churrasco was okay. Nothing special. The fried rice was not good and the potatoes were hard, dry and cold. I ordered 1/4 of a chicken with a side of "stuffed sweet potatoes" and tostones. The chicken was good, to me it was a piece of Publix chicken. You can tell it was not made there. It was reheated. As for the stuffed potatoes, I am speechless (not the good kind of speechless). They were two chunks of sweet potato. They were cold and super hard. I wasn't able to use the knife to cut them. I had to bite into it. To only get even more disappointed. They weren't "stuffed" with anything. As for the tostones they were okay. Those were made to order. If the side was something that had to be fried , like fried plantains or fried yuca, it was made to order. But all the other 7 sides were sitting there all ready made and looked like they had been sitting there since the am. At least if you are going to serve pre made food, have the audacity to heat them up and serve them in a presentable manner. It's such a disappointment when you go have dinner and you couldn't eat half the food, so you have to go eat else where after. I do not recommend this place. read more
