**Oriental Chicken Salad w/Crispy Chicken** For the last 18 years of my life I have been addicted to their oriental chicken salad! It's the best! The standard has been the same through the 18 years! I also have for 18 years been eating their blonde dessert! It's so good they briefly took it off and brought it back by popular demand! Ok so this place isn't super fancy, but it's consistent! I love their happy hour deals and they just have amazing promotions! Special shoutout to Tabitha who I called in my "Togo" lunch order! First off, it won't kill you. Probably! The food is what Applebee's is here in Bothell. It tastes the same in Ames, IA or Baton Rouge, LA. It is. What sets this Applebee's apart? It's the random nature, chaos, employee turnover that makes each and every trip here truly unique! One never knows what will arrive on your plate after you order it! I just love surprises, who doesn't?! Maybe you'll get that chicken wrap or you might get a burger! My 15 year old nephew got a beer - for all of 3 seconds until the waitress realized she was at the wrong table. She left the apps though -- and charged us for them even though we didn't order any of them. Then I got my chance! I've always dreamt of being a big game hunter in the African veldt. Will never be able to afford that, so I had to don my pith helmet and search out the most elusive prey of all: The Manager! I perched in my blind, sucking the last bit of ice tea through the ice cubes, but my prey knew I was waiting and eluded me. I even went on a walkabout and the manager was nowhere to be seen! Alas, this rare creature was probably bagged by another hunter more noble and experienced than I leaving us to wonder if the Applebee's Manager went the way of the Dodo. The only evidence that remains is that of my bill. With the apps we didn't order. My hunting guides were restless and sought to flee the area. A herd of blue-rinse Hyenas began to settle into the watering hole and made the other animals restless with their braying about how much better things were in the past. Typical service at any Applebee's. My first time being here and I would rather head over to the one in Lynnwood. Our server was horrible, all of orders were wrong and the drink refills were delivered towards the end of the meal. The food quality was pretty much the same with all the other AppleBee's I've been to. If only the managers would start focusing on the quality of Customer Service they give to the guest, I'm sure they would have less "unhappy" customers coming in. read more

Do not come here. Take the extra drive to Lynwood or where ever else. My girlfriend and I have given this place FOUR CHANCES all being horrific experience. I'll speak about today's experience to safe time : We got Tao for a server, again, and as he greeted us we knew it would be a long night. (He hasn't been the best in the past) We placed our order for a well-done burger. I took my first bite (and my bites aren't small) and it was pink. The manager, sensing our unhappiness, asked us how our food was and after telling her our burger wasn't done she graciously places an order for a new burger to go. After getting my check, yes I have to pay for our pink burger, we see that "well done" was never even placed on the ticket. Just overall irritated with the customer service. Very average food I thought. We were greeted at the door and quickly seated. Service was prompt and attentive. Lunch menu, me and my friend Phil ordered off the soup/sandwich combos on the back. I also ordered coffee. Turned out this had to be brewed, so had to wait. The Fr Onion soup was a small cup the size of my fist, and the half-sandwich was so small it couldnt stay together on the way from the kitchen. It was ok tasting. I'd give it 3 stars on service/food quality, but the value here (super small portions) loses a star. $27 after tax/tip for two cups soup/two half sandwiches and one coffee. read more

Ordered curbside takeaway and was told 15 minutes, arrived right at 15 minutes and sat in my car without anyone coming out for another 5. 15 minutes later my food was brought out (35 minutes). No utensils so waiter had to run back in and get them, then I was asked if I wanted ice cream with the desert I ordered (obviously comes with it and was forgotten when order was put together). Took me 5 minutes to get home and food was cold - "Crispy Spinach" in my pasta was limp and ugly...portion sizes were fit for a kid. ONLY upside was I saved $10 by ordering online and I still feel like I got ripped off. read more

Never again! Food is not worth taking pictures of. Speakers were sounding like they were broken, with music too loud, and the base cracking with every beat. BBQ ribs were very dry, almost jerky. The salads were nothing special. The tables were very uncomfortable as they put my family of five in a booth for four. Waiter seemed uninterested in providing good customer service, had to wait several long lengths of time for drink refills. We can actually see a back room where the waiter staff are sitting and relaxing, not good. We didn't get dessert as we were not really in the mood after the lousy service and mediocre food. I have been here a handful of times and honestly it's really hit or miss. For example tonight I ordered a steak salad, the salad and steak were the same temp....cold. The lettuce was wet/soggy and a little wilted on the edges. I am pretty sure it was prepared awhile ago then they added the crispy tortilla toppings right before it was brought out. Other times I have been here, the food has been great. I've usually have never had bad luck with the appetizers and drinks. Anything outside of that good luck. Came here for the first time to buy a couple friends dinner who were having a rough day. Was intending on a triple digit tab and treating them well. We all ordered tall beers after sitting down then my buddy got up to take his jacket off and hang it on his chair and accidentally knocked his beer over. Nobody bothered to come by to clean it up even after we stopped a waiter to tell him. Another waiter came by so we were thinking he was going to but instead he handed us a coloring book and a pack of crayons and said "we don't refill alcoholic beverages so this is what adults get for spilling their drinks". He said if he did it would be out of his paycheck. Dude was too dumb to realize he'd missing out on a great tip over a $5 beer. Manager then came around asking tables how they were doing and intentionally skipped by us so I grabbed him and told him what was going on. Needless to say he was as helpful as a herpe sore. My review is not as much about the food as it is a positive comment and thank you to Bothell Applebees Manager, Mr. Chris Bloczynski. :-) Chris was on duty the night of Feb. 15th (or 16th) when my 8 yr old nephew brought $40 cash with him in order to take me out to dinner for valentines day. My nephew has been though a lot in his young life and this made him so happy, We got way overdressed for fun and he had his money in his pocket. But he had checked his pocket rt before we entered Applebees and unknown to us, it had falled out. When the check came and he realized his $ was gone he was devastated. I paid and also asked the Mgr if he would be so kind as to ask other patrons if anyone had found $40 cash when walking in, explaining the situation re: an 8 yr old child. He did so even though it wasn't easy I am sure - and someone returned the $ making my nephew the happiest boy in town that night. THANK YOU CHRIS AND YR APPLEBEES TEAM!!!!! Came in to celebrate my birthday and my whole group left early because one of the girls working was absolutely horrible to us. First, we were in the middle of singing happy birthday and instead of politely getting our attention, yelled at us and said "should i just leave this here" when we were obviously taking videos and enjoying ourselves. She then reached over someone as they were eating and grabbed a side of ranch off of her plate to give to someone else at the table. We didn't say anything but then as she was cleaning another table directly next to us, was very obviously rolling her eyes and talking about us as if we could not hear. As someone who has worked in the restaurant industry, it really rubbed me the wrong way and I said something to a manager and she was sitting on her elbows and rolling her eyes, and very rudely told me I was wrong, when she is in the background of our videos yelling at us and catching an attitude. Management made things right, but this worker ruined my birthday and it was overall the worst costumer service i have ever experienced. Eh, is how I would describe Applebee's. The food is alright, and the service varies. Once, recently, I came here with my sister and boyfriend at night. Our server was obviously extremely tired, yet, he was extremely friendly at the same time. I was happy about that. Too bad I didn't catch his name. The other time I came here was on veterans day and the lady who was our server was horrific. She starts off asking what kind of drinks we want, which is typical, but for some reason I was craving Mac and cheese so I asked her if they had any. I get a short and seemingly annoyed response 'it's on the kids menu' then she moves on the make sure if we are fine with just water. ... Later when she comes by to take our order, I asked her, so where's the kids menu on here? She tells me 'oh only kids can order the kids meal..' well thanks you coulda told me that sooner? Plus, I'm not trying to Be cheap or anything, I just wanted some Mac and cheese on the side. This review is for take out Burgers. Given the few choices we have in the Bothell area after 9PM for food, they are open until midnight. The burgers were great, the service and attitude of the bartender knocked the stars down substantially. We called in a phone order for 2 burgers. I ordered the Brewtus Steak Burger and my co-worker ordered the Fire Pit Bacon Burger. We were told it would be ready in 10 minutes and we needed to pick it up at the bar. We drove up there and got there about 12 minutes after we ordered. We were sent to the bar and sat down. The bartender took his time getting to us and we told him we had placed a to-go order. He wandered off and was very attentive to a couple at a table near us, the people ordering drinks. He never once asked us if we wanted water, a drink or anything. After a 20 minute wait at the bar, he finally walked our order from the kitchen to us, took our money and that was it. While the burgers were delish and deserved lots of stars, the attitude of the bartender offset that. One star for Applebes! The steak burger was large and juicy, the bacon tasty. The bottom of the bun totally disintegrated. If the burger had a more substantial bun, it would be a 4 1/2 star burger. read more

Second time here. A bit if a drive from where I live (45 minutes) but this will be the one I come to when I want Applebees. Tonight our waiter was Steve. Amazing! Food was quick and made right. He had a great high energy that was fun and lively. Busted me for dancing in my seat while I was eating. I wish I could remember the waitresses name from the first time we were there. Shes blonde and her name starts with a K. I am horrible with names. She is fantastic as well. All the staff were smiling and you can tell they enjoy working there. Had the steak and double shrimp. They are doing a margarita special. It is a dollar with a twizzler straw. Odd but good. Great time, and service. read more

Our experience wouldn't be so bad if we weren't placed in the back left corner of where some of the employees were sitting down and talking over everyone. Our dinner was pretty much ruined by one of the older workers with dark hair (wasn't in uniform but talking to other workers about schedules) she used excessive use of profanity all night, and very inappropriate and vulgar conversations. Never heard an employee swear that much. Really not work appropriate at all. She seemed like she didn't care that customers were sitting right next to her and continued to yell across the room. Food was decent, but service was pretty slow even though there were barely any tables. Also, an extra 1.99 for avocado in our quesadillas?! At least Chipotle gives you a heads up about the price. read more

I've never been to an Applebee's until the other night. We were seated promptly, but was given a table that wasn't wiped very good (had milk in places)...so the hostess (Alex) came back & wiped it back down. The waiter was very nice when he took the order. Ordered the Chicken Wonton Tacos for the appetizer, & the 2 for $25 deal (House Sirloin & Ribs). The same hostess that sat us, Alex, would really like just drop the appetizer on our table right in front of my husband & say "here" & walk away ! I was shocked she lacked so much customer service & common sense. I ordered my steak to be medium, & I got it almost well done. on top of that I had mashed potatoes with it & guess what I found ?? a long thin strip of clear plastic !! I flagged down the waiter and showed him. MOST OF THE TIME they take the entire plate away from you (because you're obviously grossed out), but no, he left it in front of me & asked "oh, did you want new mashed potatoes?" - he then brought my new mash, meanwhile I still have this plastic mashed potatoes in front of me. the manager came out & I showed him & HE STILL DIDNT TAKE IT AWAY ! just comped my steak. when the hostess Alex brought the ribs, SAME THING, she just literally dropped the plate on our table & walked away. I watched her seat others & there was an elderly woman being assisted by her daughter to walk. this elderly woman was obviously having a hard time walking, yet standing. Alex took off towards the table not even thinking she's walking way too fast for them ! again, she got to the table they were gonna sit @ and oh ! it's dirty. so she tells these lady's to go back & have a seat at the front ! ridiculous. the daughter just told her "well, that's a bit hard to do, we'll just stand here". it's about time to pay for the check, they literally just give you what looks like a receipt & doesn't tell you to pay using the tablet there. not returning to this one. read more

This might have been a little bit my fault, the waitresses and the cooks combined. When someone orders a quesadilla burger with a veggie patty, they are ordering it vegetarian. Maybe I should have specified that I didn't want the bacon, but I've never had a problem with it at five or six different applebees locations. It's common sense, people. I ate a quarter of my burger before I realized I was eating a pig. I then had to spend 15 minutes picking out all of the little pieces. This is real bacon, not avoidable soy bacon bits. Because that could have been anybody's mistake, I would have given them three stars. The last two are lost because our waitress bee-lined past our table every chance she got once she saw me picking out the bacon, knowing something was wrong. She checked on us once in an hour just to ask if I wanted a refill, then she walked away quickly before I could say anything else. You work for a corporation. Accept the mistake, apologize, and remake my burger. I would have paid for it. read more

Another waitress looked at us, turned around and went into the back where we could hear a group so singing happy birthday. At that point we realized that the birthday celebration was more of a priority than us so we decided to leave. On the way out the hostess thanked us for coming. I mentioned we were leaving due not being acknowledged by anyone. Another customer was leaving and commented on how bad the service was and that nobody came back after they got their food. I believe this is the 3rd or 4th time we have walked out of this establishment due to a lack of service. The management seems like they don't care. I wouldn't go here again. Enough is enough. My first visit to Applebee's years and years ago in Chicago was a nightmare. So I was skeptical about returning to any Applebee's. But since moving to the area, figured why not. Applebee's is your average middle of the road fast casual dining establishment. I appreciate it for what it is. I don't order anything other places do exceptionally (for example, I do not order BBQ here), but I can find a number of things I like and the value is great. I've been coming to this Applebee's for about 10+ years now. Menu always changes and now the new happy hour menu is another treat. But one thing that never changes. The customer service. I see that people have complained on long wait times and plain rudeness but it's restaurant, wtf do you expect? 5 star on the dot service? Haha no way buddy. This is Applebee's in Everett. I'm feeling happy hours. Come in with my buddy and treated fairly, joking and Cordial atmospheres and ultimately the food is great. Even though this is your average chain restaurant, the atmosphere reminds me that life is short so treat people with respect love and gratitude. Just think like your mom is cooking for you. Came as a family. We all ordered a good variety of items. My son's ordered a burger and fish and chips and the waitress was extremely rude And took 20 min before taking the drink order. She seemed very preoccupied and did not take our full order. She seemed annoyed at any given time and we were afraid to ask her for anything. My great grandpa asked her for sweet and low and she did not bring it to him. He had to wait 20 min and ask a man who worked there. The woman who helped us in the beginning seemed very distracted and rude when we asked her for any amenities. When we did addressed the young woman she was rude and annoyed by our polite requests. read more
