Forone if you are buying or planning on be buying headphones do not by Powerbeats pro they say they are sweat and water resistant however mine malfunctioned and we're not covered under warranty due to "water damage". In essence I had to re-pay the 2999 apple care. My first visit to Apple Brea I had an appointment for supposed replacement repair when I arrived they said I made the wrong appointment and needed to make a new appointment just putting me back in the waiting line for three hours. After waiting three hours they tried to diagnose my headphones and said that we need to send them in for a technician they said they would call me back when they were done I left my phone number and never received a call they send a message to my wife's email which went in the junk mail and was never seen so they return my headphones still not working. So I had to make another appointment for them to repeat the same process which they did, so slightly over three weeks I finally have my headphones which should've been covered under warranty and we're not. I have a feeling they will malfunction again after a few times of wearing them at the gym. I don't know what happened to Apple but I will never buy another Apple item. I was having an issue with an iPhone 15 Pro and a brand new iPhone 17. I took them to an Apple store to see what was wrong. After waiting in line I was told they couldn't get me in for another 3+ hours. I walked around the mall and waited for some to tell me it was a software issue. My Apple Watch wasn't letting my iPhone operate as expected. The phone wouldn't ring and I was never given any notice of an email or text messages. I was told that if I want the phone to work, I can't use my watch because the watch has priority over the phone. DUMB!!! Especially since it took over 3 hours to tell me that. Also, my Apple Watch won't hold a charge for more than 12-14 hours. If I want to use it during the day, it can't make it through the night. Again, DUMB!!! Last but not least, I have a pair of Apple Earbuds. Half the time the right one won't work. This location is very convenient and the environment is good, however, the services are really bad. The receptionists were not polite and kind of rude, obviously they could ignore you and greeted the customers selectively. We bought the new phones at that location and the sales was pretty inpatient, my parents don't get in touch with the smart phones usually and tried to ask more about the details to buy, but the sales said he didn't have so much time to explain and his attitude was kind of perfunctory. I've never officially used an Apple Store before, well, sorta, (besides to buy an item or two, but that was very rare), believe it or not! But that changed when my new pair of Airpods started malfunctioning. Specifically, the left one no longer works. It's barely 3 months old! They don't make tech stuff like they used to. My Airpods are still pretty new, so warranty has not expired, so I took advantage of it by making sure Apple the official maker and seller will fix this failure for me. I could've made an appointment with other authorized repair stores, but I do not recommend that. Just go to an Apple Store. Your satisfaction is more likely guaranteed there. The closest one to me is either the Brea location or the Pasadena location. I chose Brea. It's inside the Brea Mall. Making an appointment with the Genius Bar of the Apple Store via the embedded iPhone app/dialog was easy enough. I got a confirmation in my email mail box right away. On the day of my scheduled appointment, I arrived at the Apple Store 5 minutes late. But that didn't matter. The guy at the door (the greeter, I suppose) checked me in right away. But he didn't do, however, to is let me know specifically what to do next. He simply told me, go wait over there where the chairs were. (But politely, ofc.) Again, 'tis my first time actually using an Apple Store Genius Bar, so I didn't know what to do. I asked around, and it turned out, I just needed to sit down. And wait. Okay, Matt, to sit your butt down. After 5 to 10 minutes, a technician (Oh wait, sorry, Genius!) did a brief survey with me. This is to triage my problem, I suppose. Then I waited another 5 to 10 minutes, until yet another staff member came over, took away my Airpods and case, and went inside for some testing. After another 5 to 10 minutes of serious audio lab tests, they've concluded the left Airpod indeed was failing, though they couldn't provide me with a specific reason. "These things just happen," the female Genius said. Well. I thought Apple products do better than that. Then she promptly gave me a "free" replacement. (Warranty covers this.) I was satisfied. :) In any case, she proceeded to tell me that my Airpods case will continue to flash orange until a full charge. Long story short, this was incorrect. It'll stay flashing orange until I reset the entire unit. I thought to point this out, because this was misleading info. An official personnel should be clearer than this. This would've confused my older parents or any other less tech savvy consumers. But no problem for me (and a little Googling). Overall, this was very nice! It didn't take too long. Half an hour, maybe? Everyone's nice and efficient enough. The store is nice and clean as you would expect, though quite crowded for a Friday morning. What, none of us works Friday mornings anymore? At the store they confirmed a known defect was present with my product-- but there was a lot of pushback about covering the cost of replacement. I interacted with the manager at the time, who I found unhelpful, dismissive of my concerns, ineffective at managing the situation at hand. I made an appointment at this store today and was advised the wait was 2.5-3 hours and I would receive a text when they were ready so I didn't have to stay. The agent went further to explain that if I was unavailable when I got the text, I could extend the time. I did that but when I got to the store I was refused service because the lazy store reps were ready to go home. They told several stories that did not corroborate in regards to my appointment. First, Aaron told me that I couldn't be found in the computer. I asked for the manager and Michael came out and they had my name pulled up on the screen. He advised me that they had canceled me in spite of the text lying about my place being held. I asked Michael how long a diagnostic would take because I'm unable to use my very expensive device and he said 15 minutes. I really got irritated then because they'd spent 10 minutes refusing me service. Next, Michael said we'll we have other appointments ahead of you. I started taking pictures of all of the employees lolly gagging without customers. I asked him what time did they take their last appointment and he said 6:45 which is the time I arrived. I know you're swamped and you are bummed about your pay but I'm a paying customer and have dumped lots of money into the refurbished junk you keep shoving out. It's not respecting my dollar when you blow me and my concerns off like that. My phone does not ring, I can only hear on speaker and I have a ding loved one. Michael and Aaron were in kahoots and were equally anxious to kick me out so they could haul ass. As you see...customer service had been put on the back burner at least an hour prior to closing. They jacked up my phone with the repair and then refused to fix it even under two warranties. The manager is rude and not willing to help. They will waste your time and not care about your experience. Will find any reason to not fix your phone correctly. If you have anything repaired by this hell hole of a repair shop, yes they are Apple but they cant fix phones correctly and even once they do, they will not seal them properly so water will leak into them. Honestly, I don't really like going to Apple Store, i normally shop online, if you need to go to the store, it means something happen that you have to go there to look for a solution or help. Last week, something worst happened to me, I have to bring my phone and MacBook over to trade in a new one. I went to the shop without making an appointment because it was an emergency, I walk-in and the shop manager asked if they could help me, I told him my concern, just around 5 minutes, a staff, Fernie came over to help me. The overall trade-in process is smooth and took around 1.5 hours with the setup. He was professional, helpful and gave me some advises about online security issues. On the next day, I brought the phone back to exchange from 14 Pro Max to Pro, because it's too big. I walk-in again, another staff member, Oswaldo came over to help me right away, he helped me through the exchange process, because my apple card got some problems and the payment didn't go through, he tried multiple times, make sure everything is good, he is attentive, quick problem solver and customer oriented. Fernie who helped before, he came over and remember that I have some gift card to use in my Wallet, I even can't remember I have it. Fernie and Oswaldo are super helpful, attentive and always customer-first. What I want to praise is not only my retail experience with Apple in Brea Mall and the staff, Fernie and Oswaldo, but also the Apple service is exceptional, the Apple card and Apple Saving solve my problems within 20 mins, other bank took forever in the hotline for their frauds, transfer me from one department to another for an hour, still haven't solve the issue!! The Apple iCloud and wallet are considerably secured as well. I appreciate the manager help me immediately without having me to wait another hour(s), and have Fernie and Oswaldo to help me throughout the whole process, because my schedule is tight on working and studying, and also has many things that I have to deal with on my side, if their booking was full and I need to come back another time, the overall experience may not be the same. I see many bad reviews here from other customers, I want to say everything has two sides, working as a front-line customer service in the fast paced environment like Apple is tough sometimes and customers are mostly super high expectation made it stressful to service staff. About 8 employees standing around chatting it up with each other and yet I still have to wait to be served for a repair. I went into the Apple Store in Brea with my daughters iPhone and I was expecting my experience to be just like our last experience. This experience was a completely different and I was very pleased who I had to help me with my daughters phone. Last Friday I took my daughters iPhone 13 Pro Max to the Apple Store as the phone just died for no reason the night before and only the large battery icon on the center of the phone would appear if you were trying to power it up. The sad thing with the phone is that is was only 42 days out of warranty. We needed to get this phone fixed as the next day was my daughters senior prom and she wanted to get pictures with her friends. Amber was the representative who helped me out and she was amazing. With the help of both Amber and Conner they were able to get my daughters phone up and working in just a few hours. If you read this thank you Amber and Conner. My daughter was able to get all her memories from her prom captured on her phone. read more

The technicians have been so helpful answering our questions and also really efficient with time so we're in and out quick. I initially came into the store to get my old Mac book serviced and the staff was very kind and helpful up until I was looking to purchase a new MacBook. The service tech was very patient with my questions and was very helpful when listing possible options and alternatives. I decided it was optimal to purchase a new Mac and he told me I was in a queue to be helped by a specialist for purchase, and I was 3rd in line to be helped. When this "specialist" by the name of Tony came he was very rude and didn't show the slightest bit of hospitality or respect. He came by and asked if I needed help and I told him I was waiting for a specialist and he responded with "Well yeah, that's me". Everyone inside this building is wearing the same shirt how am I suppose to differentiate. Nonetheless at the end of the day I needed to purchase a computer and the service tech, I wished I asked his name, was miles better than this guy Tony. This dude Tony made me feel stupid off the bat and made me regret purchasing my MacBook in person. The service tech told me I could trade in my Mac in its current condition and this specialist told me that I can't due to its condition. On top of horrible customer service now I had to deal with miscommunication between the workers and being offered false trade in values. It was a frustrating experience to deal with. I asked if I can apply my student discount for purchase and he asked for no verification and replied with "well you're receiving this gift card so it's already applied". He just checked every box to belittle me and make me feel stupid throughout my time there. After an unpleasant experience at this Apple store, I wanted to see what the reviews said on Yelp. I understand why the reviews are so low and I resonate with the other customers who had similar bad experiences. Right upon entering the Apple Store, it felt as if the employees were not proactive in assisting some of the customers, appearing to act busy and avoiding eye contact. Many of the employees were just chit chatting with each other. When the employees did want to help out, it felt as if they were selective in who they approached. I had to approach the employees multiple times until they finally sent someone over to help, even though the store was not busy at the time. Tony, the employee who "helped us out", was arrogant, impatient, and unfriendly. It felt like he wanted to us to make our purchase as quickly as possible. He was not helpful in informing us of the different options we were interested in. Rather, he was quite condescending when we did not know about the products or accessories. Maybe he was having a bad day or maybe that is just his personality, however this was not anywhere near the quality of service that I was expecting from an Apple Store employee, especially since we were making such a large purchase. While we were doing our data transfer, I wanted to speak to his manager to let them know of our experience. However, after observing some of the other employees at the store, I was turned off in doing so, as it seemed like that was culture of the store, which may be representative of upper management. Thankfully, Zach, who helped with our data transfer, was very welcoming and kind. He took his time in answering all of our questions and concerns. Zach made us feel comfortable and is a prime example of the quality of service that we were expecting. At the end of the day, we made our purchase and left the store peacefully. Everything about this location was awesome- waiting in a line, having our temperature checked, placing an appointment at 2:20 pm, coming back at 2:20 (after receiving the text to come) and being told the appointment was now at 3 pm- there were no issues. We understood and appreciated the covid protocol and friendly customer service. This 1-star review is for the not so friendly, condescending sales associate who we unfortunately got paired with inside that "helped" us with a damaged iPad we were looking to get repaired via Applecare. Something about this guy was offputting, he seemed irritated, that we were doing him a disservice of asking for help, asking to see if we could see some of the new products in-store. No people skills, smart-ass comments that made us feel shitty and unwanted. If you're having a bad day or don't want to be around annoying customers, just switch to a different department that shift, no problem. This Apple Store is in the middle of the Brea Mall. I've been here numerous times and this place is always busy with people wanting to check out Apple products or services. I've been here to purchase various Apple products, and each time, I've had a good experience. I've brought desktops, laptops, and iPhones, and iPads to be repaired, and the technicians have done a good repair in a timely manner. They also have been pretty honest regarding my options if they cannot repair an item. The staff here have been really helpful. I know that they're always trying an open and organic layout of the store, but sometimes it's confusing of where to go to buy something, pick up something, repair something, or anything else. Overall I am very satisfied with my experience at the Apple store, and with my new laptop. I was able to go in and out of the store within 5 minutes. I was in need of upgrading, because my old 2013 macbook pro's battery was dying on me and was slowing down due to age. Luckily Apple had announced that they were releasing a new macbook with their new M1 chip which is said to be much more faster and better than the previous models with the Intel chips. I had placed my order online on Thursday and was able to set an appointment for a pick up on Saturday at the Brea mall location. Me and my wife stopped in for an iwatch charger as I forgot mine at home. First we tried Target only to find out that they only had the charger for the C connection. I looked online and saw that there was an Apple store in the Brea mall so we walked over there. Easy enough to find and seem somewhat busy but I was able to grab the charger off the shelf and was looking for an associate to check out. The manager directed me to the corner of the store where there was a very long line. I said no thank you and left the charger there. Not sure why an associate just could not check me out as there were a few walking around. I never realize there were different levels of service at different Apple stores. The one in Costa Mesa has their associates do it. No standing in line there! read more
