We got in on a Sunday and there was a 20-30 minute wait. We signed in and waited. We were helped by John. Quick service, it's just that he didn't explain too much about the phone. We had to ask what we wanted. He sold us the 256 iPhone 17'Pro Max. We actually wanted the 1TB one. The data transfer was started at the store and continued for 2 hours once we left. It's a good process, more efficient than before. We were offered a $300 discount per trade in and a 24-month payment plan. You can't get the trade in discount if you pay in full. ‍ darn. Extremely frustrated with this t-Mobile location. Sales rep Kayla verbally quoted me approximately $140/month, and I signed up for service and a new phone based on that. On the very day I signed the contract, I raised concerns about the higher price, but was told it would be adjusted next month--nothing changed. When I returned, the manager claimed their lowest plan is $156 and that they "always quote $156," directly contradicting what Kayla told me. Multiple trips and wasted time later, my concerns are still ignored. This is not about the extra $10-$15--it's about being misled. If the correct price had been clearly stated, I would not have signed up. I don't think any customer would feel comfortable purchasing a plan from a location that does business this way. I had the best customer service I have ever had at this T Mobile store. I never leave reviews, but JOHN went above and beyond at this Brea location. I have to say, after being unsuccessful with T-Mobile's customer service on the phone on two separate occasions, wasting about two hours on the phone, I went to the La Habra location to get help. The salesperson at the LaHabra store told me I needed to upgrade to the plan that was about 100 dollars more than the plan I was on to get trade-in value for my phones. I knew this was not right after researching online, but nevertheless, they still wanted to upsell me. I went to the Brea location for one more attempt at changing plans. I have to admit, I went in a little pissed off about the previous customer service, and I was not in a great mood. I started off by telling John I won't be buying anything today, but just wanted help choosing a plan that was right for me. JOHN grabbed a notepad and went item by item, explaining the differences between plans and phone costs. He was great! I ended up getting a new phone and changing to a better plan that, in the long run, was cheaper than what I was already paying. I switched from Verizon to T-Mobile back in April 2024. I went from paying $84/mo for an unlimited calling plan with 5GB/mo of data to paying $50/mo for unlimited calling and data. It's nice not having to worry about going over my data limit and I've been doing a lot more streaming when away from wi-fi connections. I've been happy with the service and have never had any issues. T-Mobile has give-aways of promotional items every Tuesday. Install the T-Life app to get these offers. I've never made a special trip to get freebies before but I happened to be at the Walmart in the same shopping center on a Tuesday afternoon so I figured I'd stop by my local store. At 2pm on a Tuesday afternoon, the store was empty and I was the only customer which is always a plus. The store was nice, modern, and clean. I was greeted immediately and they had plenty of this weeks freebie available which happened to be some nice warm gloves. It's nice to finally be familiar with my closest store. This is my go-to store for any T-Mobile-related issues. The staff here are super nice, knowledgeable, and not overly pushy, which I really appreciate. Honestly, much respect to them for the things they have to deal with on a daily basis--it can't be easy. That said, the manager at this location doesn't seem qualified for the role. She couldn't give a straight answer for what her staff is asking her. What's even more telling is that I've overheard different staff members commenting on her management style on different visits--it's clear she's not well-liked. first things first. i would give them a zero star rating if it would let me! my entire family and i have been loyal customers with t-mobile for twenty four years, with not only our/my personal account, but our trucking company business account. i never have had any kind of serious issues or problems with any of the employees at this store, with the exception of a few very minor issues that were resolved without any problems throughout the twenty four years that myself or any family members, nor my company have been what in business terms are considered as vip clients, up until approx three weeks ago (and is still ongoing). the light for the screen on my samsung galaxy phone burned out, resulting in the screen being black and rendering the phone completely unusable. long story short, as i said, this is a personal family account that it is on. when i got the phone, i was informed that i was not registered as an authorized user for the account, and only my father was. so, while we were both at the store (my father and i), purchasing the new phone and charging upgrading our plan, my father instructed them to add me as an authorized user on the account, which i came to find out that they never made the change and add me as an authorized user. now what i am about to explain is an extremely important piece of valid, legal, and binding information that this entire issue is regarding. my father, who is 86 years old, became critically ill several months ago and is physically incapacitated. i am his son, and his only remaining family. i'm 60 years old. i have him living with me now, and am his full time caretaker, and handle all aspects of his life, and wellbeing. all of this was done through legal means, with the assistance of our attorneys. my father created what is called a "durable power of attorney" in which he is "the princeple" (the person who is assigning/giving a designated person known/specified as "the agent" the power/the legal rights/the legal permission) to control all of the "principles" financial agreements/aspects, this 100% absolutely, undeniable, includes making decisions, regarding contracts, as well as signing them. per california probate code § 4406, it is illegal for a third party company (t-mobile) to refuse to accept and honor this 100% legal and valid "durable power of attorney", which is what they are doing, while knowing my situation. due to their absolutely 100% illegal refusal to accept it (and take in mind, im a 24 year loyal customer, that is literally being refused to replace my broken phone that i got at that very same store! they are literally holding me hostage, due to the fact that i have absolutely no way to access my contacts list, my emails, or any of my texts for nearly a month now! and they are fully aware of this! i have made nearly 10 trips to the store just to be continually refused and treated with disrespect and having cell phone salesmen trying to act as if they are legal experts regarding all of the laws regarding this matter, even after i literally showed them every law and probate code. every one of them had the nerve to say that the laws that i showed them, directly from the government website were wrong, and they were right...seriously!! i filed a report with "their" legal department, only to come to find out that "their" legal department has nothing to do with t-mobile!! they are a third party information collection company that takes down information and then forwards it to a district manager, which they did in my case. the manager called me one time, spent no more than five minutes with me, then said he was going to look into it. that was more than a week ago. i have left him a message every single day since, and he has completely ignored every single one of them and will not return my call! i've tried to contact hr, but the number that they have listed on their hr website goes directly to customer service! this is not how any company treats a 24 year long loyal client....period!!! i never wanted to bring my attorneys into this, but i am now im so far beyond angry, and pissed off for being held hostage, and who knows how much money, etc ive lost due to their refusal of an absolutely 100% legal, valid dpoa, and knowingly locking me out of all.of my contacts, emails, texts, on top of the fact i had to go but a prepaid phone, and am still paying t-mobile for no service and to be treated 1)illegally 2) worse than any compny in my 60 years on this earth, that i am forced to have my attorneys litigate this to the very fullest extent due to their employees actions, and absolute lack of actions, ethics, treatment, and illegalities!! never again!! note: there are so many other things they have done that i didnt even mention, being that this was already an extremely long review!! read more

This review is more for the company as a whole vs this specific location. I switched to tmobile from Verizon about 7 years ago when I combined phone plans with my husband. Compared with Verizon, the customer service (via phone) has been WAY better/ nice than Verizon and better pricing and promotions. This past week I carried in a few times to add a new line then to change the mobile number it randomly assigned, then with a billing question/ issue. Each person I spoke with was very nice and friendly, thanked me for being a customer for x years, and helped me with my reason for calling. They also offered promotions but weren't pushy trying to sell me on them. I did wind up switching my internet (I was initially hesitant bc I tried it a few years ago and the connection was horrible). The agents all listened, spoke respectfully, and in the end I trusted them and followed their suggestions. Now compared with Spectrum when I canceled and tried to get some kind of credit back on my final bill (they don't prorate like Tmobile does), the people I spoke with on the phone were condescending and refused to help. Night and day difference. Now for Tmobile when you also factor in their price guarantee, it's a no brainer that this is the company for us. read more

I told them I owned my phone because I bought it at the Apple Store. They said they'll pay off my bill. Found out they never did. Had me pay for an iPad then the funds were not applied properly so I was being charged for the same thing I had already paid for. Then I asked why if they said my bill will only be $85 I was being billed $150 a month then they said they had to upgrade my cell phone that's why so now I lost my pays in full cell to an iPhone I had no interest in getting. I keep getting charged monthly for something I do not want now I am told if I cancel with them I have to pay them $500 for the stupid cell I never wanted! They are a bunch of thief's!!! No one helps not even customer service they said they can't do anything because the store did it! Both JB, the manager, and Timothy B provided exceptional service, taking the time to fix the hiccups even when the T-Mobile online telephone service said it was not possible. They also took the time to find the best plan, devices, and monthly rates to fit my needs. They resolved everything quickly and professionally. I highly recommend these two individuals in particular because sometimes it's not just about the store itself but about who helps you. I went to change the screen protector. The employee took the screen off and ruined it BEFORE even finding out whether they had the same one in stock or not. They didn't, so he put the screen protector back on to the phone, with his finger prints and air bubbles covering the entire protector and just gave it back. I soon found out why it was empty, the male working and the female, (Kayla) seemed not to want to help me. Once I got Kayla to start helping me and I told her how I wanted to upgrade my iPhone, she then started to tell me how I would have to pay it off in full blah blah blah, but she didn't look up my account or anything just jumped to conclusions. I then called sprint and with the give back program I don't have to pay my phone off just have to trade it in.
