An update. This store is also great if y'all need Genius Bar support. For the entire summer I went there while Victoria Gardens was renovating their store, I went there to get AirPods Pro 3 switched out due to crackling and static noise issues, get two old iPhone 7s checked out for battery/power on issues and backup restoration, and for a MacBook Pro DFU restore with was escalated from the iPhone 7 backup issue. The Brea location has very superb and caring Apple Geniuses that are attentive and friendly- especially Matt who is the lead Genius of this location. Daniel the Genius got my AirPods Pro 3 switched out on the spot on the same day, and even gave me a free set of ear tips for the replacement AirPods Pro 3 without having to send my AirPods Pro out or wait for a pair. Fantastic Experience at Apple Brea Mall! I had an exceptional experience with the Genius Bar team here. Lead Genius Matt was incredibly helpful in diagnosing a super rare error on my MacBook Pro, taking the time to perform a DFU restore and downgrade to sort it out. He found the -40 Apple Configurator error which ain't a common bug and is a rare occurrence- stemmed from the macOS Golden Gate beta. Tho it ain't rly resolved to fix the problem with the backup file, he found it just got too large to let the iPhone 7 accept it and gave me wonderful advice to get my pictures back and view them temporarily , til I get an iPad or iPhone I can spare for the data to get restored in there. I also want to thank Ethan for looking into the Apple Configurator -40 issue and scheduling the follow up appointment, Ken for his assistance with referring me to Matt, and Creative Pro Hazel, who kindly let me participate in Apple Camp while my MacBook Pro M4 pro was being restored. I came in to buy the iPhone 17 and they told me to wait by the phone area for someone to come which was weird bc there were so many workers available. I forgot his name but he was super chill and friendly, he made the whole transaction to the point and easygoing. There was a lack of the color green at every phone store but he showed the popular colors and told me they had all the colors in stock which was dope. I ended up going with the green iPhone 17 as my upgrade, purchased it outright, and left. I felt I got a pretty good deal in value and color selection. Update: apparently Apple is supposed to give military/student discounts which cut costs of about $100. I asked the worker about military and student discounts and he said there wasn't any. A few months ago, I purchased a new iPhone from the online Apple store and had a great experience picking it up from the Cerritos Apple store. I'm happy to share that I had an equally great experience picking up a second new iPhone, this time from the Brea Apple store. I ordered a new iPhone 17 for my girlfriend online from the Apple store. The initial rush of purchases after the release of the 17 has subsided, and this time I was able to schedule a pick up the same day from the Brea store which is closest to my home. I arrived at 2pm on Tuesday afternoon, and surprisingly, the store was not very busy at all, even with the mall being busy from Christmas shopping. I already knew to go directly to the order pickup desk. I was greeted by Sabreen who was very friendly and helpful. She scanned my order QR code and had my new phone in hand in only a few minutes. She had me unbox it so she could put on the screen protector for me. I was in and out with another new iPhone in only ten minutes. Ended up buying another 17 pro but in Deep blue and Derek helped me out with exchanging the screen protector as well as processing my return for the cosmic orange phone. I was giving him the spiel on how my experience working with the noob at Apple Irvine and even Derek knew that whoever helped me was for sure a new employee or seasonal employee! Technology can be your best friend and biggest enemy. I seem to constantly have troubles with my Apple products lately. For whatever reason, my Apple watch will not stay paired to my new iPhone. I've tried troubleshooting it on my own. The Apple Support app gives detailed instructions on how to fix issues, but nothing seemed to work. My last resort was to bring my Apple watch in stores. I was warmly greeted upon arrival. Of course, the store is busy as usual. After explaining my issues, I was put on a waitlist for the Genius Bar. They text you once a tech became available. I surprisingly didn't wait too long; only under 10 min. Shout out to Manuel for assisting me during my first visit. He was very knowledgable and explained everything with detail. Unfortunately, this became an issue that he couldn't fix either, so we had to send my Apple Watch to the Apple Repair Center to get repaired. He quoted an estimate of 3-5 business days to get my Apple Watch back. Thankfully he was accurate. I got email updates of my Apple Watch and its location and repairs. The Apple Store even called me when it became available to pick up in stores. During my second visit, Scarlett immediately greeted me and checked me in. Chris retrieved my Apple Watch and assisted me with repairing it to my iPhone. My Apple Watch simply needed a system update. Let's hope everything functions well from now on, and this is the last battle with my technology. read more

The employee was kind but the way Apple blames their poor engineering decisions onto the customer and purposefully makes it difficult for them is why I refuse to own another Apple product. My family member iPhones camera randomly stopped working because of some hardware issue that was beyond their control, the phone has zero dents or cracks and was almost never dropped yet for some reason the camera just completely went out and turned black. Repairs like this should always be free of cost, Apples poor engineering and design choices should never be a financial burden on the customer making them pay hundreds when they aren't even allowed to keep a phone for more than 2 years. It's disgusting and I expected so much better from this company. Even if the repair cost $50 I would refuse because I would be doing a moral disservice to financially support Apple. Worst Apple Store in the country. I'm switching all my products away from Apple. First my computer broke while under warranty from their terrible repair. They lied and said I have water damage then lied and said physical damage. They think my computer must be in a WWE match, but it sits on my desk and has never had water or physical damage. Now my phone charging port won't work. It's barely a few years old and of course the warranty expired. Their warranty never is worth it, they don't make products that last. They need lifetime warranties for their $1000 products made in China. This stores solution is always "time for a new device". Fix my phone instead. Why does a charging port come out to $400? I went in early morning to have a battery replaced in my IPhone 14plus. Told it would take 2 hrs. but was fortunate to have it done within less than an hour and a half. With me was my IPhone 16plus (my stay at home phone) that was sharing much of what was on my IPhone 14. This presented a vs problem because my spare phone would ring but my IPhone 14 would not. Missed a lot of important calls as a result. I explained this (as best I could in old lady terms) to Matt, my Genius Tech. He spent over 25 minutes with me to try and figure out problem. Yesterday I was at this store to have a crack on the top of my camera of my iphone fixed. I arrived at about 10:30 a.m. and was working with a support tech person until 11:45 a.m. She was friendly and nice and informed me that my phone would be done and ready for pickup at about 1:40 p.m. PST. Okay, cool. No problem. I had brought my laptop with me to work on a few of my class presentations at a coffee shop/bobo cafe inside the mall while waiting. I'm back at the store and check in literally at 1:40 p.m. -ish, explaining to a different Apple Store rep that I was just picking my phone up if it was ready. That guy who I spoke to instructed me to have my ID and payment ready, which I had both physically on hand. 20 minutes go buy. Nothing. Now 30 minutes, I move to a different table because foreseeing that my phone wouldn't be ready in the next 15-20 minutes, and I had to anticipate doing my online class in the store, I moved and informed one other store rep to which she said I could stay where I was seated and she'd let whoever who was going to help me know I was seated at the corner table of the store where the employee entrance off. Now it's 3:00 p.m., and I'm logged on for my 2-hour online class/training. While attending my online class, the very first girl who I checked in upon arriving this morning, Ash, tapped me on my shoulder and asked if I ever got my phone back, wondering why I was still at the store. I explained my story, and she was the ONLY one who literally took action for me. She even shared that she communicated the issue to management, because she knew and acknowledged that I had been done wrong. THANK YOU, ASH!!!!! I eventually got my phone thanks to Ash. Again, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., that's nearly my whole freaking Saturday, and I was tired, highly irritated, agitated, pissed off, and annoyed. Here is why I give this Apple Store 1 star: 1. With the exception of Ash NO ONE bothered to check in with the girl who was sitting in the same freaking spot in their Apple Store for OVER 3 hours, especially the customer service techs who were assigned at that able. Something really should have clocked. 2. NO ONE bothered to look in the online queue of their iPad and be like, "Oh, this girl checked in at 1:45 p.m. (ish). She's still here??? 3. Terrible communication. 4. Incredibly Poor and Horrible Customer Service (exception of Ash and Ashley who assisted after Ash left bc she was off the clock) I'd give this Apple Store zero flippin stars if I could. It takes a lot for me to write a really bad review on here and CONGRATULATIONS, Apple Store in the Brea Mall -- you completely outdid yourselves. This is the Apple Store that's closest to me and I've been coming here since college. All my past experiences weren't terrible or superb, but I don't really care since I'm just trynna get my stuff done and leave. But today I received exceptional service from Sammy! He was great and checked up on me multiple times ensuring that my new phone is getting transferred correctly. Whenever I had questions, he showed no hesitation to help me out. Truthfully, this location is so busy that I honestly feel like they don't have enough staff to help out. Horror! Horror! My wonderful backup 6plus iPhone was dying and I needed to go to Apple for a replacement quickly. Luckily I had made an appointment to meet with a genius concerning my 14plus. The line to make a purchase was out the door and around the corner, but I only had to wait 30 minutes. Travis spent time helping me decide on model, color, and which one had all the features I required. He explained in terms I could understand, but I didn't feel he was talking down to me. He stayed with me the entire time my info was being transferred even though it was his lunch hour I was also amazed that the entire contents of my old iPhone was transferred to my new phone and it took less than 15 minutes. Came in today to upgrade my iPhone 13 to the 16. I was expecting a long wait due to Black Friday shopping but I was pleasantly surprised. Walking in the greeted attended to me right away, and I was moved along to a sales associate within a matter of minutes. The person that helped me out moved quickly and was helpful with making sure I had everything I needed. He even transferred all of my data from my old phone to my new one right there and it took about 10 minutes. I didnt even need to go to the dreaded Verizon store and have to deal with the mentally draining process they put you through! Great experience! read more

On Friday, I went in to the Apple Store to get a replacement because my phone was completely white. It did this a couple months back and I even went in and asked them to switch it out then he said there was no need because it was back on, but he will document that I was already there for that specific problem. I have AppleCare on my phone and I pay $20 a month every month. Vicky was the one that was helping me and confirm that I had AppleCare and that they will go ahead and replace the screen for $100. I couldn't log into my Apple ID and they said that they would send me an email regarding a reset. It is now Sunday I have received no email and I needed my phone for work. This is the worst absolute store that I have ever been to and considering Apple is a multimillion dollar company this is insane. I've came here once before that and had a bad experience, but I tried to just try it again. Worst store. I'm honestly thinking about just not having any more apple products at all. I usually get my Apple products delivered straight to my home via Apple online shop or Amazon but I like to pick-up my order for more expensive items just to be safe. I've been inside many times in the past but for actual purchases, I've only been twice. The last time I purchased something was my first ever 13" MacBook Pro in 2010. I came here very recently to pick-up a brand new 15" MacBook Air that I ordered online the night prior. Love how spacious the place is and the amount of employees floating around is insane. At the back left of the store, there's a dedicated pick-up table for orders with some staff around. I waited a few minutes and someone was with me right away. The guy scanned my code and my order was brought out right away. This Apple Store has given me zero problems every visit. The only downside is that they're almost always busy. read more

Would not recommend this store, customer service for repair is just focused on up selling you for a new phone. My son went in to have his battery replaced on his phone , as the associate was replacing the battery, a supervisor stopped it and stated the phone was not going pass their quality inspection for the work done due to a crack on the back of the phone. The phone works fine, my son was even willing to sign a waiver and they wouldn't budge to sell him the battery. But yet kept insisting the purchase of a new phone. I made an Apple Genius Bar Appointment for 11:00 A.M. today. I showed up with my laptop I bought from the Brea Apple store last summer, but I spilled redbull drink on the keyboard a few months ago, so it made the keyboard difficult to use. I was helped by a worker and she told me that because I have Apple Care, they could send my laptop to get it repaired and it could be ready by the end of the week. Because I am in school and start school tomorrow, I decided to just upgrade my laptop and buy a new laptop. The person who helped me find the perfect new laptop was Jordan. He is very knowledgeable about Apple products, kind, and welcoming. I ultimately picked the MacBook Neo, for the lightness, ease, and durability of the laptop. A great laptop for a college student. Jordan was amazing and gave me great information on how to use the laptop and Kevin helped me finalize my decision. I even decided to buy another MacBook Neo to gift to a friend, because that's how good they both sold me on the laptop. All the workers at this Apple Store are extremely kind and knowledgeable. I purchased a new Apple laptop and came in for my scheduled pickup appointment. Unfortunately, even though I arrived at my appointment time, I still had to wait before being helped. Once I received the laptop, I was directed to the setup area. The experience there was very disappointing. The employee assisting me appeared extremely busy and seemed inconvenienced by having to help. My new computer then needed to complete software updates, which took more than two hours. I explained that this was my first time using an Apple laptop and that I needed some guidance, but the assistance I received felt dismissive and unprofessional. As a new customer, I expected a much better experience. Because of how this was handled, I do not plan to return to this location. I would strongly encourage additional customer service training for staff so future customers are treated with more patience and professionalism. read more

I'm going to put one star since I had such a horrible experience until MATTHEW came to take care of me. I drove all the way from El Monte in hopes to get my phone fixed asap. I got there around 4:30PM. I understand that they can't cater to everyone right away as they're always busy, but I did find it odd that the lady I spoke to (with the purple hair) didn't seem urgent to help me and told me it would take two hours to SEE me. I told her my issue, which was not being able to unlock my phone, she then proceeds to ask for my name and email and tells me to come back in TWO hours... This is AFTER the fact I frantically told her I needed to be in Santa Ana in an HOUR and that there's no way for me to get there without the GPS on my phone. I was desperate for my phone to unlock so I just waited in the store.. A tall black guy came to see if I needed help & I responded with "please, do I really need to wait two hours to be seen? I just need help unlocking my phone" and he goes "yeah".. and then walks away and proceeds to laugh with his girl coworker across the room. It is now 5PM at this point. At this point, I am LIVID. How are there so many employees just standing around when I obviously am in need of some help???? I just stood on the side of the store by the phone cases trying not to cry/freak out because I had a very important meeting I couldn't miss. I'm sure it showed in my face because Matthew notices me and asks if I've been helped yet, I explain to him my situation and he literally grabs my phone and does a hard reset & it started working in seconds! I CANNOT believe the other two employees were willing to make me WAIT TWO HOURS TO UNLOCK MY PHONE. Their customer service is HORRIBLE, and I will be calling the Apple Store tomorrow to speak with a manager because Matthew deserves all the praise. He approached me kindly, was easy to talk to, & didn't make me feel like a bother like the other two. The other two need to be re-trained on both customer service and phone "repair". All my phone needed was a hard reset apparently, and they didn't want to spend a few seconds to do that. read more

Took our iPhone 11 Pro Max to get a new battery. In putting in the new battery they broke the screen protector. They never told me that this was a possibility when putting in the new battery. Apparently, it happens a lot. It would have been nice if they told me this beforehand so I could considered this in my decision to replace the battery. Of course they no longer carry screen protectors for iPhone 11's. The acting manager that evening was useless in resolving this issue to my satisfaction. read more

Had a genius bar appointment for a cracked screen and arrived 5 minutes early. The staff member who checked me in clearly didn't complete the process properly. I was told to wait by the back screen, and 20 minutes later I noticed people who arrived after me were already being helped. When I asked, my name wasn't even on the list. I have email confirmation of my appointment and an active AppleCare plan... I expected better. I was then told to wait another 15 minutes on top of the 35 I'd already waited, so I left. Needed a new phone and a new Apple Watch, and this location had what I needed so as soon as the mall opened we were on our way. Upon arriving there was plenty of parking and the store was already crowded! I arrived around 11:10 and the mall opened at 11am, as soon as we entered we were greeted by a young woman (can't remember her name but she was helpful) we told her what we needed and she directed us to Justin who helped us go through the steps of purchasing a new phone and watch and doing a data transfer he then directed us to the tables to be further supported by Keegan who completed the rest of phone/watch set up as well as recycling our old watch. The reps were very informative, helpful and respectful and while we waited I even got to sit in on some Apple demos. The whole process took about an hour and twenty minutes in&out. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I've been coming to this AppleStore in brace since it first opened sometimes it is a mob scene but every time I've had a genius appointment or a sales appointment they have been over the top in service and assistance you need to do do diligence perhaps talk to AppleCare on the phone first to make sure your issues can't be resolved over the phone, but it's a delight and pleasure to go into the store. The acoustic leave a lot to be desired. I had a scheduled a class but the echo and you cannot hear each other and there's lots of background noise but other than that this is a great store for Apple products and service. read more

She said she would escalate the matter to the engineering team and that they would contact me within two days. It has now been two weeks, and no one has reached out. My SMS messaging is still not working. It seems your team is not properly trained -- new staff are placed without adequate preparation. I now have to come back again, as if I have unlimited time to keep visiting you. This should have been fixed the first time. read more

They appear to be indifferent to providing top-quality service and seem unconcerned about lengthy wait times. New MacBookPro! I am so excited. This will be my first MacBookPro. I have always owned HP and Dell computers. My current computer (Dell) crashed on me last night, and I had to scramble to get a computer for work today! The Dell did me good for many years. But it finally crashed for good last night and wouldn't turn back on. So I went online and looked up laptops. I have always wanted an Apple computer. I have all kinds of Apple products (iPhone 14Max Pro, Apple air tags, iPad) and love them! So I decided to invest in the MacBookPro. The price is steep. But I'm hoping it is worth it! I just opened it up and love the design! It's so sleek and professional. I got the 16 inch and it is heavy. Which is good because it feels like a solid laptop! I definitely got the AppleCare just in case something goes wrong. Better to be safe than sorry, right? :) I am so excited for my new laptop! It charged up really quick and did a software update. I have used it the past two days for work, and I love it! The video quality is super clear for my video calls. I can't rave about this laptop enough!! It is so efficient.
