I've seen this business exist for yours. Kind of wondered how a business can sustain just selling batteries. They provide expertise in addition to selling the goods. Went in with a battery issue for my auto key fob. The team member replaced it in 3 minutes, showed me how I could do it myself and answered my questions about lithium batteries. Next time, even though I know how to do it myself, I will likely just bring it here and have them do it. Very knowledgeable. $10 out the door. read more

The individual working the counter was incredibly rude, clearly didn't want to help or engage in normal conversation to help or offer suggestions. He seemed to be cool with the gentleman he helped before us. Also, no greeting of "hi/welcome in/be with you in a minute. We had wait for other person to leave and ask for help. We were obviously bothering him and I will never return to this place. I asked if I could return the product if it didn't work and he said, "Only if package is unopened (scoffed), I can't sell an opened package". Backstory: Light bulb needed is for a very old piece of furniture and we had been hunting for replacements for the longest time and another store recommended this place. Had the worst experience with the Batteries Plus at the Santa Ana location about 6 months ago and considered never buying another car battery from Batteries Plus again. The associate at that location refused to honor the 4 year warranty and simply recharged my AMG Duracell battery and told me it was good. I kept having my car fail to start every couple weeks to the point where I bought my own battery charger to charge my battery weekly. I brought in my battery to this location and Rob was attentive to the issues I was having. He took the battery to be load tested and gave me a loaner battery for the meantime. He honored the warranty 4 year warranty because I had 1 year left on it and he made sure to load tested it and not simply recharge it. I'm very grateful and will continue to do business with this location only but never step foot at the Santa Ana location due to Ronnie's attitude and rudeness!! read more

I have been relying on Batteries Plus for a decade or more. They have gotten me out of jams with a dead car battery in the parking lot by Wells Fargo. This time I left my parking lights on in the garage and after trickle charging for a few hours the car would not start. Fortunately, I have another car and got to my appointment. The next day after charging on the Battery Tender overnight (24 hrs.) The car cranked powerfully. I drove to Brea Batteries Plus to have a load test put on. He looked up when I got the battery and it is about 5-6 years old as I remember. He did a load test and it is in great shape with 750 CCA. He complimented me on my maintaining my battery so well. Batteries Plus is my go to place when it comes to replacing the batteries for my home alarm system. I no longer go to the company that sold me the alarm system as I have to make an appointment and wait for them to come. Not only can they sell you a brand new battery, but, they can help you install the battery depending on the type of alarm system you have. They are honest folks. Once after my alarm starting chirping at me and telling me that my battery was low, I took the battery to Batteries Plus to check. I stepped away to my vehicle hoping I could find it . When Did came back into the store, the guy had already replaced the battery, asked for $10. Phone Batteries! I replaced a Samsung Note battery here for a fraction of the cost of Amazon about a year ago. It was actually a kind of cheapy Duracell battery. A year later, the battery started to lose its charge capacity and they swapped it out with a new one in less than a minute. After a week I called for assistance and was rudely told that they have NO control over when their shipments arrived and it could be another month. I had my first bad experience here so I have to update Yelp to be fair. I placed an order online to pick up a ATV battery in the store. The email said to wait for confirmation that it is ready. I would've gone to Walmart for this battery (and paid less) if I knew I couldn't get it the same day from B&B so I was already upset that I didn't get an email all day, so the next day I called and they said, "are you going to pick it up today because we still need to charge the battery?" The person I spoke with said that the manager tried to call me but, as Yoda says, there is no try; there is only do or do not. I had no voicemail from batteries and bulbs. So they said they would charge it up for me part way and asked if I had a charger. I do but why would I want to buy a battery that is not fully charged? On the third day I showed up in the morning expecting a battery that was charged overnight and it still wasn't charged (!!!) so they charged it half full quickly in the store and I left, the manager never came out to explain or apologize, but he was in the back leaving his clerk to make excuses for him. The only excuse was that sometimes customers choose the wrong size so we don't charge the battery (???) until you come in to pick it up (water filled batteries only). Needed a new battery and the "stealership" wanted to charge $300.00. I typically buy and install these myself. However, Batteries Plus had a great price that included installation so I went ahead and purchased it online and booked an appt. time. I had a previous appt. that ended much earlier than expected, but went over to Batteries Plus anyways. I was about 2 hours early, but Robert went ahead and prepped everything for my installation. I asked him to check my existing battery to confirm what I was told, that the CCA's were running low. He checked it and showed me that yes, it in fact was running 210 on a 760 CCA battery. Robert installed the new battery in my car, had me check to make sure the car started, signed a piece of paper and I was on my way. Had I known that had watch batteries (I didn't think about it until I saw a sign on the counter), I would've had him replace a bunch of these batteries as well. Huge kudos to Robert for being super nice and having excellent customer service. I would definitely recommend this location in Brea. read more

Batteries plus was highly recommended to us when my mobility scooter was having depleted batteries repeatedly. The quality chargers they sell here made all the difference. Our battery pack lasted more than 3 years since we started using it. We were ruining several batteries before this and needed battery replacements every few months!! We've just replaced our batteries again, but they were not charging. Brought the battery pack in for troubleshooting. Robert the manager was able to help us in minutes, checking every connection and found the new batteries in good shape and helped us so graciously to have it all working! We will definitely return for all our battery needs in future ... even though this place is more than 25 miles from home. So worth the drive out! This shop is so reliable and have quality staff.
