After discovering CV Axle threw grease all over, I went on an emergency mode to fix the problem…read more Did not find any tear in the boot, but noticed I could slide it slight when pushed on the inner clamp where the tripod joint connects. Seemed easy enough to find a new clamp to tighten things up after sliding boot open to put new grease in and sliding back on. But the darn clamp search pretty much took all day! Going to 2 nearest Toyota dealers and they didn't have the clamps in stock! It's an old Lexus ES350, but basically Camry V6 parts fit so I usually shop Toyota dealers for maintenance parts:) No choice but to go aftermarket, but can't be trying to find order online when the car is up and I am dirty and need to get the thing fixed this day! Checked O'reily's but didn't find any usable clamp big enough. OE part was 102.5 mm so just over 4 inch diameter. Dropped by Auto Zone and nothing. Was about to give up, but decided to check out Napa online and found a clamp that one reviewer said worked for his Corolla large inner clamp. Voila, found it in stock here at the Brea location and headed right over. This looked like a no frills stores maybe supplying repair shops. No flashy fancy interior, just most of the parts stocked in the back side shelves. A nice older gentleman at the side counter checked the part I was trying to find and said he has to find it in the back shelves. He searched through the library like place and came back with a box of them! They looked big enough but would be best to check the closed size. Luckily he had a ruler on hand and measured max could be up to 4.25" perfect!!! Such a simple part, but so difficult to find in the typical auto parts stores, or even the dealerships! Now I know there's a serious auto parts store nearby in Brea with experienced folks to help me find some serious parts! Just in case you are looking for such a large CV boot clamp, attached is the part to get from Napa:) It's been a week and I just checked the clamp and my eyes are not the best but from the side of car with wheel turned, it looks dry. However, I think the axle shaft/small side may not be oozing a bit of grease. Will have to lift and get closer for my eyes to verify, but if it is oozing slightly there, I know Napa has the smaller clamp as well! (I know the small clamp side could slide and spin when I was under there last week, but assumed maybe it's good enough for the shaft side that doesn't have bunch of grease flinging around like the larger clamp side. Guess I can take my time to check out and reclamp the smaller side, the main problem was fixed last week)

Visiting Mr. Wayne at Dr. Detail was an amazing experience. I have lived across the street since…read morethe store opened but never stopped in due to a false belief that they only catered to professional detailers and car wash businesses. My black ten-year-old car was definitely starting to show its age. Despite car washes every other week, waxes every month, and attempts at hand polishing, the clearcoat was starting to oxidize and the paint was looking tired. I had gotten quotes for paint correction from a few mobile detailers and businesses ranging from $400 to $600 depending on how far I wanted to go with the restoration. Wayne greeted me from his corner office and after two minutes of me trying to explain my concern he was outside with a bar of clay, a spray detailer, and some compound. My main concern was that the clear coat on my car was too thin and that any further attempts at "cutting" or abrasive polishing would wear down the paint. Mr. Wayne assured me that I had plenty of clearcoat left and proceeded to test a small portion of the hood, bringing it back to a nice shine in a few minutes. The entire time he was educating me on products and methods on how I could achieve this in an afternoon with the right tools and supplies. After going back in the store, Wayne lined up products for me on the counter but I NEVER once felt any sales pressure. Hesitantly, I even mentioned that I had some Meguires polish at home and Wayne recommended that I use a Meguires compound as it will work best as a system. Normally, this type of comment would yield an irritated response from seasoned shop owners, but not in the case of Dr. Detail. He recommended that I purchase a dual-action polisher from Harbor Freight despite having a wall full of them in his store. He then even coached me on which pads to use with which product and the method by which I should hold and maneuver the polisher over the panels of my car. In the end, I left his store with only a bar of clay, a spray detailer, glass cleaner, but most importantly the knowledge and confidence that I could tackle this job on my own. Cut to this past weekend, after about four hours of pretty tiring work my car looks better than it has in YEARS. It most certainly isn't a show car but those were never my expectations for my daily driver. I was able to remove 90% of the oxidation from my hood and roof and attribute the remaining 10% to my own user error with the products and tools. We need more shop owners like "Dr." Wayne, he is a wealth of knowledge and I look forward to seeing him again soon!

Aaron and Jorge are lifesavers…read more My car's battery died. Jorge went above the call of duty to help me clean the battery terminals and install a new battery in the dark at 8pm at night. Then when my car's alarm started going crazy upon installation of the new battery, he helped me for a very very long time trying to disable it. Aaron then came to the rescue and pulled off a trick he learned years ago to finally disable it. In the midst of my car's alarm blaring and horn blasting in their ears, both men were not just professional and knowledgeable, but also incredibly patient and kind. They also helped me run diagnostics on the car's new battery, as well as its starter and alternator for free to ensure that I'd have no more problems. I cannot emphasize enough that I had one of the best customer experiences of my life at this AutoZone thanks to both Jorge and Aaron. I will recommend this place to my friends and family. Thank you both, again, from the bottom of my heart!

Rude and disrespectful super unprofessional and were sending customers out the door!! The manager should also advise aside from the customer standing in front of them and pull the employee to the side. Extreme sad with the manager and employees customer service attitude and when that's their main job.
