I obtain an excellent price for a quality well working rear axle. It was shipped to the mechanic shop of my choice, I did have to pay for shipping, but that's OK. Great bunch of guys working the counter here. The owners are also very helpful and informed. I've been using this place for at least 10 years whenever I need a dealer part that doesn't need to be new. They're linked up with the network locator service also so if they don't have it, they can instalntly find it over the intercom hooked into many salvage yards in sun valley and other locations in so-cal. Was told a quote, then when time to set up pick up, guy told me I lied and gave him the wrong year when I called on two separate occasions to get a quote on the same car. Would not honor quote and told me they no longer wanted the car (with and attitude, all because I objected to being told I gave him the wrong year) though the mistake was theirs. read more

My son and I had the most horrible experience buying parts from H.K. Auto Salvage - we wanted to save money, but instead, we ended up spending double our budget. I am attaching the complaint I filed with the BBB. Dear Sir: May 19, 2015, my son and I purchased from H.K. AUTO SALVAGE the following items for his 2003 Ford Focus : 1) 1 visor clip, 2) attachment for the handle to roll down the manual window on the driver's side, and, 3) a trunk lock. After I paid, I asked for a receipt, and the manager, Mr. Rudy Macias wrote my first name and the amount on a piece of paper. ( copy attached ) I said that what he gave me is not a "receipt", and Mr. Rudy Macias, in a sarcastic tone, told me that I was buying from a salvage store, and not from Ford Corporation. I came back the following day, because the trunk lock was a different year model, and did not fit. Mr. Rudy Macias instructed a "dismantler" to look for a 2003 trunk lock. It took the "dismantler" 45 minutes to find an extremely rusty trunk lock with NO KEY. I then asked for a refund. I was told by Mr. Rudy Macias that my option was to either take the unusable rusty trunk lock with NO KEY, or leave it, BUT THAT THE STORE POLICY WAS ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS. I asked if I could exchange it with another item since what he was giving me was not usable, and he refused. I ended up buying the trunk lock WITH A KEY from Ford Only Auto Dismantlers, who gave me a legal receipt registered with the IRS. Not only is H.K. Auto Salvage cheating the government, they also have unscrupulous business practices. read more

I had an old 2001 Toyota Corolla To sell... I didn't have faith that I could sell it to an individual in good conscience, but many of the parts were good or recently replaced. I called these guys and took my car up to them. He gave me what I felt was a very good price and even salvaged 6 CDs of one that had been trapped in the stereo for a year!!! Within a week of selling him the car, I got an envelope with all 6 of my trapped discs!! Above and beyond the all of duty. Professional and courteous. My daughter hit a pot hole on the freeway after a recent storm. Dented 2 rims on her 00 Toyota Solara. I needed 2 15" steel rims. I called 3 yards. These guys had by far the best price. I am writing this review so that other people are beware of what I experienced. Wrong parts and a horrible professionalism is what's at hk!. I have them good money for parts. All your are is green $$ - they'll fill orders and push crap out. Horrible.I paid them up front for parts whole my vehicle was in a dealership waiting on parts. The completed airbag fix seat belts ,airbags, dash, steering wheel, sensors, there complete set still needed parts unknown to them.. sending out wrong seat belts and then wrong color. Delays and delays.. it's best not to go to a place like hk until they fix there customer service practice. It took 48 days to receive all my parts from when I paid them.. excuses excuses, , excuses . read more

I want to commend Rudy at HK for his dedication to customer service. Long story made short, the engine he sold me had problems that were not apparent on the surface. It was only after I removed the oil pan and exhaust manifolds that I could tell that this engine had experienced over heating problems. I sent Rudy a picture of the evidence and he immediately called me back and said he would do whatever it takes to make it right. And make it right he did! After some reasonable negotiation, he said he would buy a truck from auction that met my original specifications for year and mileage, then after he purchased it, he invited me down to see it run before his guys dismantled it. Everything checked out fine, so he removed it and delivered it the next day and hauled off the bad one. It really feels good because I thought I was over a barrel at first, you all can imagine how that could have gone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend HK to anyone! read more
