What a nice bunch of guys! Even though what I needed didn't turn out to be available, I will absolutely do business with them again.

I came here on Saturday (9/21/13)j looking for a 1997 Honda Accord driver side front door that was…read moredark green in color and out of all the junkyards in "Junkyard Heaven" that runs along this short strip of road on Alpha St in Duarte/Irwindale, this place had the door that I needed that was complete minus the mirror, the inner door handle, and master switch. So the door came with the window glass, the window actuator, the inner panel and outer shell. He sold it to me for $200 cash. To my knowledge, I don't think they accept credit or checks so please bear that in mind. First, i went to all the junkyards that ran along Mission Road in Lincoln Heights but none of them had it. Then I went to most of the junkyards that ran along this road on Alpha St in Duarte and that sold used Honda parts to get a price quote for a car door that was complete. I went to the very first junkyard on the right hand side just as you enter "Junkyard Heaven" and it was AAA auto wrecking or something of that nature. I just remember the triple AAA and the words auto wrecking somewhere on the sign. They had the door I needed and that was the same color but it didn't have the inner panel, the mirror, the window actuator, the inner door handle, and so forth. It was essentially just the outer shell plus the window glass. They wanted $200 for that and if I wanted all the other stuff, they said they could pull the parts from the other cars they had and assemble it together for me. I haggled a bit for this place and they dropped the price to $175 at the lowest. It was $25 cheaper but the outer shell was not in the best condition. So I told them that I'd be back if I didn't find a better one. Next, I went to PV Dismantling. They didn't have the door and the Asian guy inside was just really rude. Then I went to M L Dismantling. They also had a rude Asian guy and said he'd check for the same color but never actually got back to me. I received a price quote for $150 for a complete door from this place though. Next up, I went to LPD Auto Wrecking. Originally, I called them at the crack of dawn when they first opened to check to see if they had the door beforehand. They said that they had a bunch of black ones, a bunch of white ones, a couple of red ones, and "maybe" a green one. They told me to stop by and check with them again and I did but every one of them were busy when I got there. They were the busiest junkyard that runs along that road. So seeing that my time was limited and most of the junkyard shops closes at 3pm and it was already 11:30am at the time, I ended up leaving that place and going to the next shop down the road. Now, I can't remember the name of that shop but it was next to an MB auto wrecking yard. That shop quoted me $135 but that's just for the shell; no window glass, actuator, or anything else. $150 would have gotten me the shell and the actuator but nothing else and then $200 would have gotten me the shell, window glass, the actuator, and nothing else. The condition of that door was "okay." Probably about the same condition as the triple AAA place that I was at earlier. Finally, I ended up at Avo's Auto Parts and the one directly next door to it at the dead end on Alpha St. Neither place had the door I needed. Avo's place had a nice, older gentleman. The one next door had an Asian guy who was at least courteous unlike the other Asian shops earlier up the road near the entrance of "Junkyard Heaven." I'm sorry to say that I can't remember the name of that shop either. Silver Star Auto Wrecking and two other places that I wanted to shop at weren't open on Saturday but those would have been the places I would have gone to ask, if they had been open. Oh well. Anyway, YLM Auto Wrecking was the very, very last junkyard shop I ended up at as they were located all the way near the end of the dead end on Alpha St and directly across from Avo's Auto Parts. They had the door that was in great condition and I mean like close to mint condition. Everything worked and it came with a 7-day warranty, in case the door didn't fit and you wanted to exchange it for another door. I don't think they give out refunds which is about the same rule as all the other junkyards. The Asian gentleman with long-ish hair inside was nice enough. He let me see from which car the door was coming off at and before buying it. I can't complain. It felt kind of rushed talking to him but otherwise, an overall "pleasant" experience. Overall, I would recommend this place, if you're looking for used Honda parts or used Japanese parts in general. They do tend to be pricier, relative to the other junkyards and won't really let you haggle them but the car door that I got was in great condition. I can't speak for the quality of their other used parts but, if anything, and I'm basing this on my car door experience, I would probably be coming back to these guys, if I was looking for a used auto part for my '97 Honda Accord.

I got a Honda engine was a great price and no issues. Would recommend they where helpfulread more
