Batteries plus was highly recommended to us when my mobility scooter was having depleted batteries repeatedly. The quality chargers they sell here made all the difference. Our battery pack lasted more than 3 years since we started using it. We were ruining several batteries before this and needed battery replacements every few months!! We've just replaced our batteries again, but they were not charging. Brought the battery pack in for troubleshooting. Robert the manager was able to help us in minutes, checking every connection and found the new batteries in good shape and helped us so graciously to have it all working! We will definitely return for all our battery needs in future ... even though this place is more than 25 miles from home. So worth the drive out! This shop is so reliable and have quality staff. Thank you so much Robert for your efficient and gracious helps! read more

Super friendly and have ALL your battery and bulb needs. A bit pricy but then so are batteries, so in the scheme of things they really are comparable to other stores, especially when you consider quality. Robert helped me both on the phone and in the store and was absolutely 100% customer service at its finest! People, we need more friendly and helpful retail workers...be like Robert. Car batteries, phone batteries, battery batteries plus bulbs galore. read more

This place is b*tching. Sorry for the improper venacular but i do not know a better word =) From puny, gate controller battery to Miata little battery these folks have it all. Do not expect the best value for the product, but the convenience factor should nullify any savings from a box retailer. I do not know the value of the lamps and all that since I am sort of a vampire at home with everything dark, but the battery selection is off the hook~!!!! read more

Made it last second before the store closed. The gentleman that helped me replace a battery for my boss's equipment had a spare on hand and was able to test a new type of battery first to see if it would work okay. I appreciate him taking the time a couple minutes before closing on Friday 2/12/21 read more

I have been coming here for years and always have a wonderful experience. The staff is courteous and helpful and this time was no different. Replaced a battery for an older cell phone and the battery wouldn't hold a charge. The manager Robert Aguilar ordered me a new replacement and got it shipped in within a few days.... No charge! They really value their clientele here, even if you aren't spending money. That's a rarity these days. Thank you Robert and staff read more

The battery in my wife's Toyota 4Runner died and I was able to go online to Batteries Plus website, buy the correct battery, get a 10% discount for doing so and then drive over to the Brea location and pick it up. Cheaper than the auto parts stores and a better warranty for the price too. The sales guy was very nice, helpful, double checked everything and I was on my way with the new battery. They offer to install it also. This is my 4th battery from this place (two in quads, one in a tractor and this one). Super convenient and always have what I am looking for. read more

Batteries Plus Bulbs is a great "go to" bookmark for your hard to find battery needs. They combine the reach of online shopping with the "I need it now" convenience of a brick and mortar store. It's a franchise chain - owned by a franchisee - which is good for customer service - along with larger buying power for pricing and inventory available. Tools, computers, phones, watches, remotes, batteries that keep memory in all types of items - they have it - and help install them at no charge. They took care of me right away at the front counter. From what I've observed they have a lot of quality "after market" batteries such as Duracell. If something goes wrong they're close enough to make exchanges right away - as opposed to an online return - I see that as a big plus. In addition, they're open 7 days a week - with 12 hour days M-F. They have some device repair services available, like cracked screens etc. - Have not used those services. Good customer service on the phone and in the store. You can message the business from Yelp also. Maybe I could search out a little better deal for an OEM battery, but knowing they'll take care of any issues on the spot makes me a big fan! read more

I rushed to this location after work. I arrived 20 minutes before they closed. I needed the batteries for 3 car key fobs replaced. The associate that helped me (I'm sorry I didn't get his name) was WONDERFUL. He was so kind and patient with me. I asked him to show me how to replace the batteries so that I can do it myself on the 2nd set of key fobs I have at home. He took his time and explained something that I had no confidence in at all. Thank you for your kindness! (I will be sure to get your name next time I come in) read more

I actually came in here for a light bulb. The one I had for my daughter's room was too bright/blue, and after trail and error I decided to go here. Brought my bulb in and was shown about 4 different options from what I described I needed. Found a soft yellow bulb as a solution and was set... well so I thought. Then I remembered I needed batteries for her toys. Bam! 24pk of USA made AA's for $10, can't beat that! They have batteries for everything here I tell you. Even USA made Duracell car batteries! Very knowledgeable staff and quite friendly. read more

Sunday took my iPhone Apple nine thinking I needed a charging connector replaced on the phone they checked it over and found out that it was just dirt which they cleaned out did not charge me anything and I brought in a second phone same day and have them replace the battery and a very reasonable price and they done a very quickly highly recommend them read more

My husband took our Honda key to have the battery replaced. They were quick to change it but at the same time they also lost the chip that goes INSIDE the key! When my husband went back to the car it wouldn't start. So thinking it was out of gas, he went to fill a gas can and fill the tank. When it still wouldn't start, he realized it may have been mechanical so my husband had the car towed to the nearest shop and was then told it was a chip issue and the chip in the key was missing. When he went back to the battery store asking where the chip is, they first claimed they didn't know what he was talking about. My husband pointed out the employee who changed the batteries in the key and they went on to say it doesn't come chipped, talking about the motherboard and denied having anything to do with the key. It CLEARLY does. They offered to "search" for the chip but then gave us a "courtesy call" and said they could not find it. Obviously it does come with a chip because the car was operating to get there to get a new battery and wouldn't operate AFTER the battery was changed. When my husband told them he wasn't looking for anything for free but was now quoted over $300 for a new Honda key because of the chip this business lost, he asked what they were going to do. They basically said "nothing, have a nice day" and never took responsibility for their mistake. Not even a sincere apology. And sometimes a sincere apology goes a long ways. So here we are, $300 later waiting for the new key, with a non-operating Honda because this business wasn't responsible changing out a $9 battery. read more

Prices are twice what you can expect to pay at EBay or Amazon. I was expecting for the batteries to have an expiration date at least 2-3 years into the future, but the label had "2019" on it lol. I'll just buy batteries online next time. But in an emergency situation, this place could be a life saver, as they have tons of batteries and bulbs. read more

I needed a motorcycle battery really bad and I was racing against the clock to make it to the store before they closed. I figured I was going to be slightly late and so I called and spoke to Robert Aguilar. He must have wanted to go home, but he cheerfully said he would stay open to help me out. He stayed open and didn't make me feel rushed. Small things like this make me a repeat customer. Thank you, Robert. read more

Yelp asked me to update my review. So here it goes. This place has gotten better since my last review (not like there was anything bad to begin with) which was I think 3 years ago back in 2013. There is always parking right in front of the store never had a problem with finding parking here. Inside is laid out the same. They now have bulbs. There is now a section of the store that is dedicated to light bulbs. They don't just have your normal light bulbs that you can get at the grocery store or target. They're these fancy looking light bulbs. Prices are reasonable even for those fancy looking bulbs. OK enough bulb talk. The people working there are the same. Nice and friendly they know what they're talking about. They're not the type that talk out of there asses. Long review short come here if you need batteries, bulbs, phone repairs. Oh did I forget to mention they did device repair also? Yeah I just found that out myself. They apparently use factory parts unlike those kiosk in the mall that probably gets their parts off Ebay....can you tell I've had a bad experience with those mall kiosk. Okay finally ending this update. read more

Staff in the store is rude and lacking in sales skills... I don't mind paying more for quality and service, but when the service is so bad you have to start wondering at the quality. I'll take my chances on an off brand battery for less than half the price. Maybe it's time for some new employees! Now I have been getting comments to my yelp account by alleged employees lying about what actually occurred in the store. A sure sign that an establishment has some serious employee quality issues... read more

Love this place!! Found Batteries Plus Bulbs because of an uncommon, outdoor bulb Home Depot didn't have. Every time I need a battery or bulb, I come here and haven't been let down yet. Staff is friendly and very willing to help you find what you need. read more

Rude service. I didn't realize you sell individual batteries because I have never been in your store and I don't work there, so stating what is obvious to you, may not be very helpful to anybody else. Learn customer service skills... I guess I learned my lesson and will stick to Amazon instead of helping out small businesses. Yay! read more

I just walked into this place to see how much they charged to repair an iPod screen. An older white man I will not say gentleman because of he nasty attitude asked for the specific model. My brain drew a blank and I could come up with that it was an iPod touch. He told me they don't fix two types so I asked for an average price. I guess that was a "stupid question" for him because he literally rolled his eyes and walk away from me. I don't think that anyone should be treated like this. I will never set foot back in this store. read more

I went in today because my Fitbit band broke and both sides of the pins were broken off and I couldn't get them out. Scott came to the rescue and within minutes was able to get them out. 've heard of this place through a BMW X5 forum online and i kept the info for 4 years until finally my battery died and sure enough he carries all sorts of batteries. Scott (owner) is the best. He's very friendly and treats everyone right. He's honesy and not just out there to make a quick sale. He even installed my new car battery for me at no charge. I didn't even have to ask him. He automatically told me to park in the back and open up the back door to where the battery is located. He not only carries car batteries but also for laptops, cell phones, wirelrss phones, drills, children's auto powered rides, and pretty much anything that has batteries, he carries. Great experience overall and definitely highly recommended. read more

My laptop battery died for a couple years now and the only way I was able to use it was by having it plugged in at all times. It recently started becoming a hassle as my professors began requesting his students to bring their laptops to class. I needed a laptop battery asap and prior to coming to Batteries Plus Bulbs, I had called Staples, Best Buy, Office Depot, Wal-Mart and even Frys Electronics. None of these places carried the battery that I needed or had it in stock by the day that I needed. I called Batteries Plus Bulbs and the person that helped me was very knowledgeable and patient; he helped walk me through the process of finding the specific battery model my laptop needed and explained to me the different types that the store had in stock. He was also able to put a battery on hold for me and I picked it up the same day. Overall, great customer service and very knowledgeable employee. I left a satisfied customer. read more

If you go to a big box store like Walmart, Home Depot or Lowes, good luck finding anyone that knows a little something about batteries or light bulbs and the selection is great. I've purchased batteries for my Tesla and BMW key fobs and all sorts of home energy efficient bulbs. Apparently CA requires builders to include these so my builder decided to use 3 different types and sizes but this place had them all in stock. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and I feel good about supporting a small business where they know a thing or two about customer service. read more

My wife Prius's 12v battery went bad and I was scrambling around to find a replacement that didn't include a hefty dealership price tag for parts and service. Found these guys through the priuschat forum and glad I did. I brought the car in during my lunch hour, grabbed an overpriced greasy burger and fries at 5 guys, and before I was able to finish, I received a call telling me it was done! What would have cost me $300+ and a couple hours at the Toyota stealership, cost $200 and 25 minutes. (Yes, Prius batteries are expensive). Robert was the tech that helped me and the service was spectacular. Great job! read more

Excellent customer service. I live in LA, with a motorcycle as my only vehicle. It's kind of a rare bike and requires an uncommon battery which was not locally available, so I had to make a trek to Brea, CA. I had to take two busses, an Amtrak train, then another bus, that left me 3 miles from the store. I called asking for directions, and hearing my situation(and my disappointment in public transit), they sent an employee to pick me up. They even drove me back to the bus stop. So, five stars all around. They had my weird battery. It was fully charged and ready to go. Customer service, as explained above, was among my best experiences with any retail establishment. Thanks guys!!! read more
