This location was decent in my two most recent visits. The staff was helpful and friendly and I was pretty in and out while getting an upgraded watch from Gizmo to apple for my child. I took a star off because the employee told me setting up the new watch would be simple and done and home and that was NOT the case. It was a huge pain actually. I recommend setting an appointment before you go to avoid long waits. My second visit to drop off my trade in was super easy and took less than 5 minutes. read more

I've been in sales my whole life so I know what games they're playing. Ari and her manager forcing you to buy insurance for three months (I'm sure so the extra commission kicks in) Wanting to charge me $216 for not even the top tier plan for two lines per month ( we were not buying new phones) making the excuse they'll give us discounts to bring it down to 188 per month Ridiculous I did it online and I could do it for $135 per month Would've been a nice commission check, huh? read more

Had an amazing experience from the moment I walked in. Was greeted immediately with a warm welcome from staff. Was about a 10 minute wait from the time I checked in. Eddy was our tech guy who helped my wife and I get into new phones. He was extremely professional, kind and helpful through the process. The service here is very stall and unwelcoming. The person that checked me in didn't even have a greeting, no "hi" "welcome in" just a "what's your name and what did you need today." I was here to do an upgrade, ordered online for pick up but the order was cancelled with no explanation. I decided to see if I could just order in person. Once the rep came to help me he said I'm not an account manager and cannot do anything... but wait? I have placed multiple order in person, online and such and have never had issues. After 23 years on Verizon Wireless, I have reached an impasse. After the company's CR line totally screwed up my plan and promotional cell order, I tried to enlist the help of the Brea store. Over the years, the Brea store was always the go to for upgrades and solving problems. Not anymore! When I went in the Brea store this week, I was informed that they could not help me and that the CR line would have to handle the problem. When I asked how do I solve problems that the CR line kept introducing due their lack of skills and produced screen shots, the young lady told me there was nothing the store could do. This forced me to to contact the CEO executive office. What was stunning was the complete lack of empathy the young lady displayed. It was obvious she just wanted me out of there. The executive office analyst got back to me immediately and was very helpful. Unfortunately, I have to wait for system processes to complete before things may or may not go back to normal. We shall see when I get my next bill. While my plan change should be successful finally, I am still without the promotional free phone upgrade the advertising promised and am committed to a retail installment contract I was forced sign in proceeding with the process. I am hoping this will be resolved next week. Verizon and others are trying to automate the plan change and upgrade process completely. The bigger problem is when this process goes wrong as it did initially for me, your solution resource is the CR line. In the case of Verizon, they moved it overseas to the Philippines. While the Pilipino operators are very nice (their nature), they have to put you on hold for ten minutes at a time, every time they go to make changes in the system. It sounds like they need a good deal more training. When trying to change my plan to the new advertised plan, I ended up with four different versions on my account screens. My attempt to add an upgraded phone ended with a retail installment contract with no explanation of how the upgrade promotion process works. All of this took over five hours. Approximately, two or three years ago I tried to change my plan to an unlimited plan. Every time CR made a change, the system changed things back to my old plan by the time I got a bill. After several months and numerous phone calls, I gave up. Therefore, this nightmare is round two. In talking to my retiree friends at the golf course I play at every week, I found out that I am not the only one with Verizon problems. This is why some people are cancelling. I did find one person that had a good upgrade experience at another Verizon store. He walked in and they upgraded his plan, phone and transferred data. He walked out with nothing to do, but use the equipment and pay the bill. This is what my earlier experiences were like Verizon's stores. I always loved Verizon for their great reception and excellent customer service (23 years). This has all changed with their process automation and overseas CR. The old Verizon is gone. While this mess was progressing through through its phases, I didn't get a bit of the slightest empathy from any of their employees. The worst was the young lady at the Brea Verizon store, who's attitude bordered on contempt. Since we don't have dependable resources from Verizon, we are starting to look for a replacement vendor. T Mobile keeps getting recommended thus far. read more

I had a very confusing set of circumstances trying to get the right phone for my sight impaired mother. Bought a phone there the week before and it was too confusing for her. Returned it the next week. Eduardo helped get the phone she wanted with no hassle, but then took a very long time with great patience helping my mom to be added to my account. I never felt like I was being a burden and I was impressed how Eduardo and any employee that came around seemed genuinely invested in making sure my situation was handled. i came here because i had issues with my esim activation, and before i was even able to explain my issue, i got checked in and literally was just sitting for 20 minutes with every employee avoiding eye contact for whatever reason. i don't mind waiting? just at least acknowledge us and if you're going to take a while to help us just let us know? two parties that came AFTER me were helped while me and my boyfriend were just sitting and clearly waiting for assistance. a blonde girl, who i would assume is maybe a manager(?) only talked to me because i kept making eye contact and she walked past my bf and i and then backtracked because i guess she couldn't avoid me anymore. on my own end, i was having an issue with getting an authorized user to activate my esim which isn't their fault at all- i get that. the girl helping (help is a stretch) just kept saying "yeah... you can't activate it right now" while just twiddling her thumbs. i get that- again, not your fault. but as a customer, i shouldn't get passive aggressiveness and constant dismissive "there's nothing we can do"'s. took my phone to the verizon in Long Beach and they helped me amazingly- i was literally in and out in the time that i waited to even be talked to at this store. everyone was so kind and professional, while this store seems to be run my passive aggressive and unhelpful employees who don't want to be there. read more

Waited and was told that we needed to go to asurison store. Made an appointment and went to the asurion was told that they couldn't help us with the claim. Biggest waste of time and Verizon was super unhelpful. Spent well over three hours trying to get the battery changed, on the phone and in person. read more

If I could list negative stars, I would. I've been a customer for over 17 years. I've had repeated issues with the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra 512gb. Mainly with connecting. You pay over $350 a month for 2 phones, you'd expect them to work. But they don't. This is probably Samsungs worst model, but since I have insurance on my plan, this is Verizons issue. So I'm on my 2nd replacement s22 Ultra due to the same issue...mobile connectivity issues. Can't connect to the internet unless in on wifi and sometimes when driving in a populated area, I have no network connection AT ALL. Which is unacceptable. I called Verizon yesterday and after over 1.5 hours and 2 reps, the rep agreed that there are issues with the phone and tried to send me a "like model" replacement which would be the iPhone 14 Pro Max 512gb. But then a glitch happened on my account and she had to submit a ticket. She said she would call me.back today at 7pm.... I waited until 7:10pm. No call. I ended up calling to receive an automated message indicating the center was closed and the call ended. So I tried reaching out through the chat feature. First was VZW Tech Anya. Who was nice but also wanted to do all the same troubleshooting that was done yesterday. Massive waste of time. Ultimately she had to text me an hour into to chat to ask if I was still on the chat. She reset the mobile network and shock... it kicked me off. So I responded I was still on it and would restart my phone to reconnect. I did that. I was offered to reconnect with the same rep Anya, and was transferred to Emmanuel. At this point I'm FUMING. I didnt want to repeate everything. And told him so. Of course he asked questions and i said yes to them and said this was already confirmed earlier in the chat. I said I was told I could get the iphone. And if they couldn't do that then fine, just waive the rest of my device payments and I will upgrade. He couldn't give me a different device and offered to upgrade me after I paid off the rest of the device for $262. I told him this is unacceptable and not what I was told yesterday. All I can say us, Verizon what happened to you? You used to be the best. Being a customer for over 17 years meant something at one point. But it doesn't any longer which is a shame. If customer service can't help me tomorrow then it looks like I'll be checking out T-Mobile or AT&T. Because this is ridiculous. read more

Terrible first impression. We walked in and were told, "We'll be right with you," so we sat and waited for 15 minutes, while employees ignored us. Not once did anyone mention we needed to check in at the kiosk. How hard is it to communicate that to new customers? Completely unprofessional and a total waste of time. I just walked in and no one noticed us and they are seeing me like some ghost or invisible stranger and it took like 10 minutes to wait.

I went in with my broken router. They said they don't carry that one any more but they could put me on a low cost plan since I don't stream , TikTok etc - just straight email and work from home. I am on a business plan so auto-pay and just send all things financial to my accountant every 3 months. He called me up asking what the heck was going on with Verizon. Apparently they put me on a plan with virtually no available data usage, and my bill the first month was $900, the second month $1,300 and the third $1,700. I called Verizon and they said it wasn't there fault, but the store's - but they were as shocked as I was. I went to the store and their new nasty manager just essentially said 'Hey - you signed on the dotted line. It's what you wanted.' Who would want a plan with such limited data when you're working at home at night? The lies kept piling up. Finally he relented and said he'd give me a $900 refund - but over three months @ $300/mo. It meant I was stuck with Verizon, but better than nothing. Next bill - no refund at all. Stay away from this store - they get kickbacks for duping you into service which is a total misrepresentation. They lie through their teeth. After decades with Verizon, because of these jerks, today is my last Verizon day. But Karma happens - got a much better deal with their competitor. You should too. Thanks for the response Mr. Verizon but I was told twice that it would be addressed and never was. I don't know who you are, but maybe you should give me a call, not to mention a refund. Well here it is 6 days since my review was supposed to be escalated and fixed. Ho hum. Nothing happened. Oh what a surprise. Went to T-mobile: 2 new high end phones, an android and an Iphone were bestowed on me for a mere $50 - and that's with no trade in. And my plan is costing me almost half of Verizon's cost with more amenities and no over-use charges. Wake up people. read more

I recently left VZW after almost two decades. My experience with Verizon was mostly immaculate. I needed my last billing statement to get T-Mobile to pay off my device but could no longer access the portal. Paloma helped me obtain this information & treated me like I was still a VZW subscriber. I had previously tried to activate an eSIM card through customer service all day. It was a whole mess that did not work. Anyways Paloma, at the store I went to, called on her end. She also, I noted, to be very polite to person on the other end. She just knew I was very frustrated and wanted to actually help and went out of the way to help instead of trying to make me buy something or anything like that. Story Time I wish I could give no starts I was in the store last night it was the most horrible experience. I went in there to start a plan and get a phone that does not need me to reset many times to get it running on maps. I thought I would be able to get a New model o Samsung. I was told that Verizon has a phone credit on my return trip due to the phone I was only allowed to have. the phone was a piece of trash. After this experience and was treated like trash. I am a Veteran and a Prison Guard. I did things to protect freedoms and keep inmates inside the walls. This is how a person is willing to lay down their freedoms for others to be free. then I wish I never did it. Well, have a silver lining to this event. I went to the T Mobile store and was treated with great respect, kindness, and understanding. Not only I got a phone that was 110% better than Verizon offered. But I got more service and a lower cost than Verizon. These 2 people in the store last night were wonderful and kind. this place deserves 5 or more starts. they are great people and will never go to any other place for phone tech and services. Horrible customer service. Came in today because I received a text saying that I was signed up for DisneyPlus when I never did. Luis didn't apologize and tried to convince me to keep the plan. Also I told him that I recently was upgraded up from an iPhone 12 to an iPhone 15 and was having several problems with it. For example, when I make a call and put it on speaker I can barely, if at all, hear it ring. He tried to tell me this is normal and he's never heard of that complaint before then cut me off and said there's an hour and a half wait. He was rude and we are about to switch from Verizon because of all the recurrent problems we are having, especially with the dishonest service and hidden fees. This Verizon retailer is a JOKE. They needed to create a PCA in order to have my old phone credited and paid off since i was purchasing 4 new ones, a watch AND the internet, but they haven't even done it! Verizon has sent me confirmation of receiving my phone but can't credit me bc this store hasn't completed their part. But they are all SO grateful for me "being a loyal customer for 19 years." I should have known this store was incompetent as soon as I walked in and smelled the weed from the back of the store. The employees even said that to eachother but didn't know I could hear them. Ive now been charged late fees AGAIN, for 7 lines and no phone credit so my bill is $1200+. At minimum, I am leaving and going to Spectrum, where I should have stayed with my internet, I am reporting this as fraud, I will file a class action suit since I have read so many people have the same issue against Verizon and this store for the same issues. Do NOT GO TO THIS STORE! They will tell you one thing so get your business but are too incompetent to follow through and you will be left with a growing bill, useless visits back and forth to the store, useless calls to Verizon blaming the store then the store blaming Verizon and threats of discontinued service if you don't pay. Worst cell phone service provider ever. Hidden fees, the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life, high/inflated prices, untrained/unknowledgeable staff. these guys are the worst. I've worked with all the major cell phone service providers and Verizon was the last ones. I heard they had great customer service ... I knew their prices were high but felt hey if they have great customer support/service, maybe the high price can be justified. I got a pretty decent deal on black friday and from the beginning it was the worst experience ever. I'll keep it as short as I can but try to keep up -they sent the phone and watch to the wrong address not once... but twice. -then on top of that they charged me for all the phones and watches they messed up on the shipping for -they didn't remedy it... I had to catch it and call in -they lost my trade in phone and then tried to give me $25 for it b/c it wasn't turned in during the promotion period ... yea b/c you lost it! -they overcharged me multiple times -they didn't recognize my autopay discount. I had to call in to fix it myself -multiple times phone support sent me into the stores to get things fixed and the people in the stores didn't have a clue either - total waste of time and gas -unapologetic management and staff Just recently I left... couldn't take it any longer. I'm going to eat $1300 left of my phone and my watch b/c it's just not worth the hassle. Service is bad, cell phone coverage is bad, prices are high and life is just too short. Tmobile is giving me $800 to switch over to help cover the cost. I didn't even know that before I switched. I just said screw it... and left. The $800 helps but i'm still in it for $500 on top of that. The tmobile plan saves me $70 a month though so i'll break even in the coming months and I won't have to deal with the worst customer support I have ever received. This poor of service is legendary status... we're talking worse than USPS, the DMV, back alley used car lots, black market exotic animal sales and more all combined! Don't do it... just don't come here. There are so many other options out there. Even if you have a ton of money to burn, you don't have to put up with all the extra nonsense that comes along with having a phone with Verizon. If you consider yourself at all intelligent, do the right thing and go to Tmobile, sprint, AT&T... hell even go to boost mobile or Mint. You're better off even with a burner phone than using Verizon. Do the right thing... save yourself some money, a lot of time and bunch of headaches. read more

I have been a customer with Verizon for 17 years. It is remarkable to think that the specialist that I met today, Ken (Wai) Lee, has been working for Verizon for even longer at 20 years! In today's day and age where people change jobs every year or less. It is truly legendary that Ken has shown so much loyalty to Verizon! Loyalty is not recognized or financially compensated for like it should be. In my 17 years of being a customer of Verizon I have never had such a delightful customer experience as I have had with Ken (Wai) Lee this morning! He had a strong technical understanding of what was happening with my Sim card failure. Moreover, he took a genuine interest in my life and background! We developed some strong areas of common ground between us, and I left that encounter feeling very happy and excited! Ken is a humble man who would never toot his own horn so I will toot it for him. Unfortunately Eric the manager has no clue what he's doing. I was told by Verizon Tech Support over the phone to go into the store to get a SIM card. Within minutes of talking to Eric he quickly told me that my discounted phone that I bought from Best Buy was not compatible with Verizon. I bought this phone unlocked from Best Buy at 45% off. I was dismayed that I would pay a lot more money for a Verizon version if I wanted to keep this same phone. Luckily I went into Best Buy today and they assured me that they should be able to activate it. 10 minutes later they were able to activate it with no problem and provided a SIM card. Really consider purchasing your phones through Best Buy or another store than this one. You would think a Verizon manager would know what hes doing.
