This Verizon retailer is a JOKE. They needed to create a PCA in order to have my old phone credited and paid off since i was purchasing 4 new ones, a watch AND the internet, but they haven't even done it! Verizon has sent me confirmation of receiving my phone but can't credit me bc this store hasn't completed their part. But they are all SO grateful for me "being a loyal customer for 19 years." I should have known this store was incompetent as soon as I walked in and smelled the weed from the back of the store. The employees even said that to eachother but didn't know I could hear them. Ive now been charged late fees AGAIN, for 7 lines and no phone credit so my bill is $1200+. At minimum, I am leaving and going to Spectrum, where I should have stayed with my internet, I am reporting this as fraud, I will file a class action suit since I have read so many people have the same issue against Verizon and this store for the same issues. Do NOT GO TO THIS STORE! They will tell you one thing so get your business but are too incompetent to follow through and you will be left with a growing bill, useless visits back and forth to the store, useless calls to Verizon blaming the store then the store blaming Verizon and threats of discontinued service if you don't pay. September 2019 The store is next door to Trader Joe's!! (parking can be very limited) So we walked in and the location clearly has a much modernized look compared to the traditional Verizon stores. We were greeted immediately by 3 representatives but NONE of them were able to assist us. We were able to check in with them and just wandered around the store. The rep came by and help assist us with our needs. My only issue was unlike most Verizon stores I felt this experience was more of a quick service experience rather then a hey how can i help you today.. the rep helped us get what we need but was unable to assist us once the payment was processed. No follow up questions or feedback but plenty of side comments. I think making any customer feel like they're device is old is unnecessary. To a customer their device is new to them so telling a customer oh that's 2 years old is just plain rude!! I definitely would not return unless this location gets some retraining. read more

This Verizon location is conveniently on Imperial Highway, near the 57 freeway exit, and next to Trader Joe's. It's both a good and a bad thing since there is usually a lot of people and parking can be hard to find. I came here a couple weeks ago to activate my mother's new iphone. It was busy, and we didn't have an appointment. The lady at the front, Marissa, was really helpful and accommodating. She went above and beyond her job to help us. I will definitely be coming back here in the future if I need anything from Verizon. Tip: if you need to come here, please try to make an appointment beforehand, so you don't have a massive waiting time. read more

I went into the Brea store because I have been there in the past and they were great! I went in 5/4/21 and was given this estimate to add another line and buy myself and the new line new phones. I wanted to upgrade to an unlimited plan. I now pay $115 a month and the new monthly fee I was quoted...$201. I have been with Verizon since 1991. I called 611 and asked what kind of deal they would give me because I have been with them since 1991. I traded in my old phone and got a new S215G and a decent phone for my new line for $120 each. And $80 for both phones per month. My total monthly bill will be $130. BEWARE BEWARE do your homework. Call in and get your new phone. These guys in the stores are unbelievable. read more

I am so lucky that Ken was the one that helped me. He was so confident and competent and super helpful. I described this specific Verizon location as dishonest, lying, misleading, and lack of ethics. I went to the store to clarify some billings issues. The representative offered me the "best plan" for my needs and sounded great until I got the billing. I was very disappointed. It almost double amount we agreed. I was offered unlimited international calls:.at the end was not in the package. I went back to the store and the explanation I received didn't sound right. I called Verizon directly by dialing 611 and finally I got a better explanation and experience. So I've noticed lots of bad reviews here at this location and while I can't speak for the location itself, my last experience there was nothing but perfect. Ken the specialist with over 16+ years of experience working with Verizon, was extremely helpful and very professional. I felt like he tried to help me get exactly what I was looking for while working thru the complicated Verizon system. Anytime you try to get a promotional deal thru any cellphone carrier, it can always be a huge headache and/or mess. Ken was very aware of exactly what promotion was going on and how to best get me what I needed thru my current contract and I was very appreciative that he was very straight to the point. My experience with this specialist and location was very positive and if you are looking to get a new contract or update an existing one, I recommend asking for Ken. If you call their listed number of (714) 256-6015 for this location you just get routed through a useless phone tree. I take negative reviews with a grain of salt. There are going to be good days and bad days, however this is just unacceptable. I was in this store the night before and was told that if I come in within the first couple hours there shouldnt be too long of a wait. I was trying to purchase a phone for my elderly mother and they suggested it would be best if I had her phone. So she and my father who is older, came with me only to be told that the wait was going to be 2 hours. The gentleman right in front of me was told 1.5 hours. So basically I assume that each visit is given 1/2 hour. I asked are there any appointments and the gentleman said no, not until next week. That would not work. All of this is understandble, except....there was absolutely NO ONE IN THE STORE. One customer just left, but no one but employees were there when I was told it was a 2 hour wait. I asked and he said we give everyone a 10 minute grace period to return. I told him the best practice would be would probably have people come earlier and wait in their car for 10-15 minutes so that they could get through more people faster. I appreciate not having to sit there, however I can only imagine how many people get mad and what a total waste of time. Waste of time not having people right there ready to help and I wonder how many people no show to the follow up. I hope the District Manager from Verizon reads these reviews because this Store, this "Policy" or "Procedure" needs reviewing. I get it, pandemic, no one wants to work...hard to find good workers. But maybe you should find ones who think out of the box and start incentivizing people to actually help customers. Rate the stores that help the most customers per worker present, and close the stores that dont want to help people. I was honestly going to switch from Verizon after who knows how long. I walked in hoping to explore options on possibly a phone upgrade. Has been nearly 3 years since I bought my iPhone X. There was a female associate named Melissa. She immediately told me that they currently do not have phones in stock. And said that programs will change tomorrow and will have specials for Black Friday. And she said that I do not have to come into the store and everything can be done online. I had mentioned about the trade in special offer I saw online. She told me that there was such program but it will change come tomorrow due to Black Friday. I proceeded asking more detailed questions. That's when she said "Are you okay?" Twice!!Saying that I am stupid for not understanding her. Seemed very irritated about me asking more questions. And she did not know the answer to a question. I came here to upgrade an existing line's phone to the iPhone 7 with MSRP $649.99 and nothing more. As the sales guy started to process my upgrade, he said there's a promotion going on where you get an $80 battery pack for free, excluding taxes on it. I passed on it at least twice because I already have two at home, but he kept insisting, and I ended up caving it. Only $6-7, right? Wrong. When he first showed me the total, and it was close $130, which was clearly not the right amount. I told him what the line items totals are and that the amount is clearly too much. He does something on his device and brings it down to $116.78. He told me there's no way to see the line items but explained the following verbally and wrote it down on a piece of paper: iPhone7: $649.99 Upgrade fee: $40 Activation fee: $0 (he said he would waive it) Battery pack: $0 Taxes: ??? (He could not tell me or write this down) Total: $116.78 (as shown on his device) Wait, what? $40 upgrade AND activation fees on an upgrade? Red flags, and the total was still over what I calculated on my phone, but I figured I can probably see the breakdown of the transaction from verizonwireless.com. And even if I did get overcharged, with the that total, I was paying an extra about $10 on top of the taxes on the battery. So, I thought it was still worth it for a large capacity battery pack. I paid, came home, and checked my online account, which showed: iPhone7: $649.99 Upgrade fee: $20 waived to $0 (verified online that upgrade fee for existing line is indeed $20, not $40, and upgrade fee is only for new lines) Battery pack: 69.99 discounted to $59.99 Taxes: 56.79 Total: $116.78 In the end, what he actually did is effectively charge me $39.99 + taxes on that battery pack I didn't even want. I go to the store to return the battery, and the guy did not want to admin that he made a mistake, scam, bait-and-switch, or whatever you wanna call it. He even told me that his store and official online policies are not the same. He kept saying he gave me a special discount and that everything will be fine if I just returned the battery. $40 is not the problem. The fact that he was trying to simply brush it off is the problem. The highly likely fact that he's been doing this to other customers is the problem.. When I mentioned that I will file a formal complaint with the company, he goes on to tell me that he actually had credited my online account to offset the $40 battery. Oh wow, how nice of him. He didn't even tell me or show me that he had bestowed such a graceful act upon me. Christmas must be here early. Note my sarcasm because he did not. TL;DR Sales guy/store lies about upgrade fee cost, "promotional" battery cost, and overcharges me over $40 without explaining the transaction detail. Would not recommend using this store. A couple weeks ago, we went in to buy phones. We were told we needed an appointment. We made one and went back the next week. Then we were told they didn't have any phones in stock and had to order them and make another appointment to transfer data. When we arrived yesterday, we were greeted by a not so friendly employee. We felt like we were putting him out by asking questions and having him do his job. He put our screen protectors on and they are so bad, we will have to have them redone. Stopped by Verizon store to sign up from T-Mobile. My Father and I did a family plan to save money. The store is setup on an open floor plan. The associate assisting us did Gave him my Drivers License to copy down our mailing address etc. With my DL in front of him, he still managed to copy down my address wrong and misspell my name. My name is Peter, not Pete, and my DL says Peter. Is it much to ask for them to copy an address correctly? They also included a cell phone charger on their invoice when we clearly stated we did not want a car charger. I was told that i just need to wait for the $500 gift card showing on the Verizon app when I opened a new line at Verizon with BYOD promo. However, I never received any notification /email/ text on this and when I checked with Verizon, it turns out there was some error when the store set up the account, which leads to me never receive any notification to redeem the gift card. I have went to the store 3 times for this issue and every time I was told that it has been escalated and that I just needed to wait. At the end, the store told me that I could not get the $500 GC because the promo ended. This is clearly the store's responsibility but I have to bear the loss on my side. Each time I had to go to store was just wasting my time. I had to wait 30 min until someone can help me and check the status on the escalation. I told him I purchased the I Pad, keyboard and screen protector over the phone. He again told me no, that was not their product. I just recently went in to upgrade from my iPhone 6 to an iPhone XS. When I walked in Chris helped me right away and got me started on the process. However, I was having soo many issues with my iCloud not transferring over to my new iPhone, none of which was Chris's fault (totally mine). So Chris literally spent 8 hours with me trying to overcome this issue I had with Apple. He could have easily said that he couldn't help me and that I had to make a visit to the Apple store, BUT because he is so passionate about what he does he wanted to help figure out what was going on so I could walk away happy. Finally after hours and hours of trying to transfer my iCloud to my new iPhone he got it up and running!!! I seriously can't thank him enough! READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE YOU STEP INTO THIS STORE (or any Verizon store for that matter). The sales rep are trained to lie and to try to cheat you as much as humanly possible. They are NEVER on your side and NEVER try to get you a good deal, so don't let them fool you into thinking you got one. It's truly disgusting how hard these people try to cheat you out of your money, so read carefully. My brother and I went in to purchase an iPhone 7 last year on the morning it was released and the sales rep enthusiastically pushed a FREE iPad mini on us, as part of a "special promotion" for the earliest customers. I owned the same device already and my brother had no need for one, so we told him we didn't need one. He went on to emphasize how FREE the iPad was and that it would cost us NOTHING to take it home so we would be stupid not to take it. Well who the hell wouldn't want a free iPad on a special promotion so we said alright and took it. We later realized that we in fact paid $150 for the iPad and were stuck with a 2-year $10/year contract to keep it running on data. Sales rep straight lied to our faces about what we were paying for when we were making payments in order to hide this from us. Of course we could have been more careful and meticulously reviewed the receipt for every charge, but we were in a bit of a rush (like many people are) and left the store unaware that we'd been lied to and cheated. It was later when we were reviewing our bill that we realized that the store had pulled the same trick previously at a different date when they pushed a FREE hotspot jetpack that ended up coming with a $10/year for 2 years contract as well. So we had 2 of these $10/year for 2 year contracts that we couldn't get rid of on top of the $150 iPad charge. Key lesson: NEVER accept ANY "extra" items that these frauds try to push on you. Unless you actually need or want it, don't think they're trying to do you any favors. Their only goal is to lie their way toward cheating you out of as much money as they can get and forcing you into contracts that you won't be able to cancel even if you wanted to. There's more. I went in today to the other Verizon store in Brea, not that it matters since they're clearly all frauds, to upgrade my mom's iPhone. We made it clear that we didn't want any "extra" or "free" items from the beginning and just wanted to replace the phone. The sales rep said that the upgrade would cost $200, which included "taxes and other fees", which sounded about right since that was what we usually paid whenever we had previously upgraded. When we asked for the trade in value of my mom's iPhone 6 plus, he said it would be around $90. He then said we get a free case and screen protector with our purchase, to which my mom said no we don't want it. We didn't want to get scammed yet again. But he was insistent that they came absolutely free and so we ended up accepting. He then tried to pull the same trick that we previously fell for with a Samsung tablet, saying that it was completely free, to which I recounted my experience with the iPad. He countered by saying "Oh no this is different, there are no monthly charges and it's completely free". Yea right. When I pushed him to clarify everything about the "deal", he happened to mention at the end that there was a $40 activation fee then proceeded to try to justify why it was still worth it. What don't these people understand about I don't want the damn thing? By the end of it, he said the trade in value was $100, so we would be paying $100 total for the day. I had an appointment so I left in a hurry, and when reviewing the receipt at home, realized that the sales rep had charged a total of $160 for all the extra items that he had pushed on us because they were "free". He even had the audacity to add other items that he never mentioned like a car charger and some club nonsense that I'd never heard of. Then I went to read the trade in value and was astounded to see that it amounted to... yea you guessed it, $160. He literally just used the trade in $ as a mask to cover the fact that we were paying for stuff we did NOT want. This fraud led me to believe that I would be receiving a bunch of free stuff and would be receiving $100 for the trade in, when in reality he was literally forcing me to pay for all the "free stuff" without telling me that I was paying for it. Be careful when you go to these stores and interact with the sales reps. Chances are very, very high you'll walk away having spent more money than you planned to, and if you carefully review the details, it's likely that you will notice transactions that you never wanted to make. I would rate them -3 if given the option. I've been a customer for about 10 years. They sold me this P.O.S. "HUM" a few weeks back. W/O getting into details, the thing has a PANIC button on it, that is so exposed that for most of a week I managed to trip the panic button 2x/day. The cancel feature for the PANIC BUTTON worked little to none. I tried to return it. Apparently I was two days late? Gotta return w/in two weeks. Golly gee willickers? Exactly HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT? --- They din't even give me a receipt???? To see my return limits???? The guy at this store seemed a bit smug when I returned the unit. I was so upset I was having real issues keeping my stuff together. I left the P.O.S. on the counter and walked out. I am still being charged $5/mo for the HUM service. Can't fix it on the web? I am upgrading an iPhone 6 to an iPhone 7. I am told I will be charged a $30 upgrade fee. However, when I get the receipt I am charged $88.12!! Why can't they just say that when they are charging me? Why do they leave out the $20 charge for a line I already have and the $31.24 for the phone?? This is slimy salesmanship to the nth degree. Don't waste your time going here. They were uninformative, rude, and utterly lacking in the knowledge department. 1. My family went in to compare Samsung Note 8 with iPhone X yesterday. The guy tells me that the difference is that the Note 8 has a stylus. Thus, I approached my question in a different way....I asked if he had to pitch the sale of the Note 8, what would he say. His response was classic: "I prefer the iPhone". Basically, he didn't know the product. I was able to glean more information from the Internet. 2. We recently upgraded one of the phones, but it was not properly activated. The guy insisted that he needed the old phone's SIM card to do the activation. When I asked why he needed it, since the phone was ordered through Verizon and when turning it on, it says the correct phone number (i.e., indicating it has the correct SIM card), he argued with me and told me that I was making things difficult. We left. (By the way, I was able to activate the phone without replacing the SIM card.) So in summary, it was a complete waste of time. Today I set aside some time to go to Verizon in Brea to set up my new Iphone and AppleWatch. I was greeted by Ashante R. What a pleasant gentlemen he was! Walked me right in and asked me attentively how he could be of service. Ashante spent 2 hours and 22 min with me. Never did he make me feel like he was in a hurry or didn't want to help me. I came there with several questions and far from tech savvy, yet he remained patient and calm. I left a a very happy customer because of Ashante. This Verizon is the great. Nathan helped me replacing an iWatch with my broken one. Selfish of me, I arrived just twenty minutes until it was going to close. We ran into a couple of problems locating the number as it did not appear. My assumption is the problem was cause I unpaired it my findmyiphone. Who knows. It's Apple.
