It's time for reading glasses, so I went to Lens Crafters because it looked like they had a wide selection of frames. I'm incredibly picky when it comes to glasses because I have a low bridge and just don't have a face for glasses. Jasmine welcomed me, and I let her know what kinds of styles I was looking for and that I was going to be super picky. She was totally patient, let me try on as many frames as I wanted, gave me helpful feedback, and didn't rush me at all. It was the best eyeglasses shopping experience I've ever had. I went in for an eye exam on February 27th 2026 which I had a great experience as I always do then I continued to order my glasses and it is now March 23rd and I have paid for my glasses in full but only have one pair and I ordered 3 pairs including sunglasses. The glasses that were ready were my non sunglasses but I can't wear my new prescription until I get my sunglasses and they still aren't ready and they don't know when they will be ready. They ask for you to give them a review after your visit and I would suggest wait until you receive everything before giving any reviews at all. I wouldn't recommend this store if you want your glasses fast. I am going to cancel my entire order and go buy them somewhere else. My insurance was changed and as of Jan 25 , I had to come to LensCrafters for my prescription glasses. Worst experience of my life and I am not going back. For two years in row, they ordered wrong glasses. Their frame prices are very high and to use my insurance, I only ordered one pair for near sight with their least expensive frame which was $79, still had to pay co-pay of $80. I went to pick up my glasses, it was for far sight and this is the second year they have made the mistake. I would say doctor was nice and did a great job examining my eye, but associates have very little knowledge and apparently can't read the prescription to order correctly glasses. read more

The employees at this location are unprofessional and do not value their customer's time nor experience. I came to pick up my prescription eyeglasses and as I walked in I was greeted by one employee. That's the only thing they did right. I was quite confused as to why there was nobody at the front desk as there were only about 5 customers in the place. I waited at the front desk for about 10 minutes with no acknowledgment. After waiting, a man with a mustache walked out from the back of the store. He proceeded to walk by me with no interaction. After he saw me in line his attitude was very much like he was annoyed that he had to assist me. After handing me my order, I said "thank you" and to no surprise he said nothing back. To say the least, I will be going to a different location next time. A customer should never feel this way. I don't expect every employee to be overly nice but he was simply rude and unprofessional. This place is the BOMB! Trust me! I don't like long reviews so I'll keep it short: Don't be afraid to go to the eye doctor or be intimidated by the store! Everyone here is SO nice and SO helpful!! I couldn't believe it!!! The super-nice girl (Danielle? She just went to Ireland - ask her about her trip!) that checked me in was so kind and patient - not like other Optometrists I've been to. Dr. Vuong though? The showstopper!!!! The best, most thorough, took time to explain, showed me various options of seeing things through my old-ass eyes!! Then they released me look at glasses....the scary part! Except it wasn't!! Blanca took over and let me browse as long as I wanted and didn't roll her eyes and helped me decide and was wonderful!! Kaeda's behavior was unprofessional and unacceptable. LensCrafters corporate needs to address this immediately -- this advisor is clearly overdue for proper training. My husband and I had scheduled appointments at 4:40 PM and 5:00 PM. Due to extenuating circumstances, we arrived late to one of the appointments and respectfully asked if the doctor could be notified to see whether we might still be accommodated or squeezed in. What was most disappointing was not the inability to adjust the schedule -- we understand policies exist -- but the complete unwillingness of the Eye Care Advisor, Kaeda, to even attempt to help. When I asked if she could notify the doctor, she flatly said no. When I asked if she could at least speak to the doctor, she again said no. When I asked if I could speak to the doctor myself, she said no. At no point was there an effort to problem-solve, show empathy, or provide even basic courtesy. The tone was dismissive, rude, and unnecessarily disrespectful. In customer service -- especially in healthcare -- compassion and professionalism matter just as much as policy. If you work in the service industry, there is a fundamental expectation of courtesy and basic human decency. Even if accommodations are not possible, the interaction should still reflect professionalism and kindness. This experience left us feeling frustrated and undervalued as customers. We expected better. You've lost 2 customers of over 20 years. read more

I'm not sure if they're under new management but I was double booked and had to wait an hour for my appointment. Once there they were telling Dr. Lam to hurry up. Completely inappropriate . After being a loyal customer at LensCrafters for a decade, I will no longer be returning. The lack of professionalism from the manager at the Brea/Imperial location was absolutely unacceptable. I returned three separate times to pick up lenses for my daughter's frames, and each time I was told the person who cuts the lenses was unavailable. Unfortunately, my daughter is in college and can only bring her frames during her school holiday breaks. The first two times, no one offered any solutions or guidance on how to get this resolved and just asked me to return on another day. On my third visit, I was assisted by the manager. First, she couldn't find the lenses. Then, she couldn't find my daughter's information in the system. To make matters worse, she gave me an attitude was completely rude and told me I should have made an appointment. Keep in mind, this was my third visit, and not once had anyone informed me that an appointment was required. You would think a manager would be apologetic due to the lack of communication from her team and try to make the customer happy, but that was not the case. Despite the poor treatment, I remained calm and made an appointment for the following day. However, this experience has led me to decide that LensCrafters has lost my business--and the business of my entire family. I have been going to this location for a few years. I always confirm my benefits prior to going in. During this last appointment in November, I did the same and confirmed that I had a zero co-pay for the exam and $200 towards lenses. When I went in for my exam, the girl told me my co-pay was $39. I told her I had to confirm the previous day with my insurance, and there was zero co-pay, She then went on to say that they no longer dilate eyes and in order to look at the health of your eyes you have to pay to have the machine look at your eye. This was something that was offered every year at an additional $39 so I was familiar with it. It is completely shady and unethical of them to try and force you to pay for that machine by telling you that it's your insurance co-pay. I then selected some glasses and when I sat down with the girl, she told me I needed to pay over $100 out-of-pocket. I asked her why since I had $200 to spend and the glasses I got were pretty inexpensive. They automatically select expensive lenses with antiglare and all the bells and whistles. They never ask if you want them (or offer them as the option/upgrade that they are). When I told them I just wanted the regular lenses my insurance covered the entire amount. If I hadn't spoken up for myself I would've paid over $200 to them out of pocket for things I didn't want. read more

I've gone to this LensCrafters for a few years and loved the staff but now they have a new store manager, named Robbie. She may not actually be like the top dog but she is a manager there. I came in to purchase my glasses before the end of the year. From the very outset Robbie was a little too "brisk" shall we say in a nice way? She comes across as attempting to behave very businesslike but she actually comes across as very rude. She cut me off constantly. But, I wasn't in a rush so I just rolled with it and thought to myself, whatever. After 2 hours with no results, I started to get upset. At her urging, I called the corporate office for my insurance and they told me that LensCrafters needs to file some special form to adjust the claim because they had wrong dates for when I purchased my last set of glasses. It is called an adjusted claim form 1500. I knew when I purchased the glasses cuz I looked at my bank account, and due to some tragic family events, so I knew that no purchase had been made at that time at LensCrafters. I knew eventually I could prove my case. So I started sleuthing around and discovered some information that might have helped trigger for her what actually occurred. So I'm trying to talk to her and explain that this is more contemporaneous evidence that I did not purchase the glasses in February. She actually told me she was going to go back and speak with the doctor, but shortly thereafter told me he was actually not in today. So I asked her, so nobody is getting an eye exam today? She got really snappy then and said there were six other doctors at this location that could handle eye exams. I've only met Dr. Lam, who is wonderful, and I've never seen six other doctors. She then began a her dissertation on the fact that this was his particular solo practice and not a part of a corporate franchise chain. I told her I understood that. She just kept repeating that over and over. She had a few comments over and over. I felt like she was just speaking in circles, like word salad. She then called the LensCrafters across the street at the Brea mall and asked them for a phone number; she wrote it down on a post-it and then she put it away but based on what she said,I thought she was getting the phone number for me! But she hung up and said Oh no you have to call and get that phone number for yourself. So I asked her, well can I have the number for corporate and she again reiterated I had to get the phone number. She continued to repeat that LensCrafter is a separate entity from my insurance company. I told her multiple times I understood that. But my insurance company told me that LensCrafters had to submit an adjusted claim form to look into the matter. She said she never heard of it, didn't know what it was, and I was really frustrated. So I asked her, well can I just have a photocopy of the post-it because I thought it contained the information I asked for; I watched her make the call and she asked for the phone number but then when she hung up she kept repeating she didn't have any new information to give me. She was holding up the line at that point and had two gentlemen behind me, so I felt bad. She also kept repeating that this was just too busy of a day for her to deal with this. So I said to her you know, I know you don't probably realize this, but overall your manner is very off-putting. And she said you're right I don't realize that. Now unbeknownst to her, a gentleman sitting next to me told me that he couldn't stand her and that every time he came in she was rude, terrible, etc. Those were his words. I would just like to say she's incredibly passive aggressive, and appeared truly upset I was asking questions about my own glasses purchase. I'm trying to work this out. But, what really upset me was the denial of allowing me to use my insurance benefits before the end of this year. And the insistence she could do nothing. Get this: within 2 to 3 minutes of me explaining to her that she was a little off-putting, I had also given her an out and said I'm sure you don't realize it and she readily agreed with me that she had no idea she was being rude. But within 2 minutes of that? She said SHE felt attacked. Because I asked questions. I just kinda laughed because it was clearly retaliatory, and was downright farcical. So, I don't know what information she obtained from the other store, I don't know who she was talking to, I don't know what she was doing, and ultimately gave me zero help. She did nothing but give me misinformation and was just very rude. I would not recommend this store. They have a wonderful selection of glasses and they used to be managed by a lovely lady. This woman who I believe thinks she's being businesslike, and again I'm giving her the benefit of the doubt, just comes across as impatient, rude and uses her bad attitude to push back on people. I provided the requested info and the representative said "Got it, and there you are in the system, all set, see you tomorrow." When I arrived for the appointment they asked for the exact same info and said they couldn't find me in the insurance system. An hour of my time was wasted until they were finally able to find my insurance in the system. A complete waste of time. Completely unorganized office. I scheduled an appointment for an eye exam on Sunday, June 28 at 11 AM. Received an email confirmation for scheduled appointment. Saturday, June 27, I receive a call from a LensCrafters emto confirm my appointment. I arrive at LensCrafters on Sunday at 10:45 arriving early as instructed to complete paperwork. The store is locked down, windows barricaded with security screens etc. I wait till 11 AM store is still closed there is no signage dictating the store hours. I called the phone number and the recording says they're open from 9 AM to 7 PM. I check their website it says closed Sundays. Google maps listed they're open it from 12 to 7. So angry!! Monday, June 29th I receive an email from Lens Crafters "Sorry we missed you". I call to ask How did you miss me when the store was not open? The employee said Edison was working in area. Which I noticed on Sunday. He then said the store had no idea their power would be out. I know from first hand experience that Edison goes out of their way to notify residences and businesses of all pending scheduled work and the impact on its customers. A special thank you to Allie at this location. I live 38 miles east of here, but drove the distance because of the treatment I received over the phone. I originally visited my local store, where the staff was mediocre at best. You know, didn't speak when I walked through the door, or 15 minutes after for that matter, but perked up when I told them that I was purchasing 3 pairs of glasses that day. Fast forward to me needing assistance a few weeks after purchasing, they were rude to me. Since I was going to my moms that weekend I called the Brea location. Speaking to Allie was like music to my ears.*insert a harp*. She was so empathetic with my concerns and gave me all of my options and told me how she can assist me. I came to the store and was greeted with such a warm welcome and comfort in knowing I would get my frames, whom my local store had told me were discontinued, replaced. Allie called multiple stores to find my frames. She went over and beyond for these frames that had extreme sentimental value to me. We talked, laughed, and got what I needed all in one day. Their prices for contacts seem to be high even after the insurance was taken out. After comparison shopping i purchased my contact lens' somewhere else and saved money even not using the vision insurance. Their staff is on commission for eyeglasses and are always pushing for upgrades, needed or not. They say 'walk-ins' are ok, but nah, don't even try a walk-in. They are always 'busy'. They probably say HIPAA huh? Their computer user account and password is plainly labeled and taped to their computer in a client accessible room where YOUR client record is available for anyone to access and browse. And their physical client record folders are easily accessible by anyone. HIPAA schmipaa, right?? Hey Lenscrafter franchise owner, the Fed's HIPAA fine can be pricey, just heads up! I've been a LensCrafters customer for many years. I was bummed when the company decided to remove their 1-Hour labs. I used to go to the LensCrafters in the Brea Mall, but had an "ok" experience with them last time, so I thought I'd give this other LensCrafters a try (just across Imperial Highway from the mall). Wow! Making the appointment online was a breeze. Jasmine on the LensCrafters side of the shop was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Danielle in the EyeExam part of the office was great too. They investigated my insurance options to make sure I got the best deal I could. Dr. Lam is the best doctor I've seen through LensCrafters. He's patient, detail oriented, and insightful. He took the time to help me understand everything he found and what it means for my future vision care. It was easy to find parking. I'm writing this only four days after my visit because I got my contacts the day after my visit (by UPS) AND I got my glasses TODAY! I guess the usual wait for glasses might take up to two weeks, but I got them quicker than I thought! That's a plus! I highly recommend Dr. Lam and the team here at the Brea Imperial Hwy branch. My husband had a TERRIBLE experience at this LensCrafters. After over two weeks of purchasing a pair of glasses with all the bells and whistles imaginable that cost over $500, we heard nothing. When we called, they looked into it to learn the lab had rejected the order with no explanation. They said they would resubmit the order and fast track it at no extra cost. Two weeks later they still had not contacted us. I called and waited on hold for over twenty minutes (no exaggeration) after which I hung up. I drove there to resolve the situation once and for all. The hand sanitizer dispenser at the entrance was empty. So much for taking proper precautions during a pandemic. When I alerted the store rep to it, he acknowledged it like he already knew and he did nothing to address it. Bad sign. When he looked up our order he told me the lab had rejected the order a second time. He also said they just noticed it that day and were planning to call us. Based on their track record that was hard to believe. Aside from making a weak apology (that didn't sound sincere and just blamed the lab) no effort was made to remedy the situation. I requested a full refund and left. Worst customer service I've experienced in eons. So frustrating!!! read more

Had a good experience here, staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I took one star away because it's super pricey. I didn't do any research before coming here which is my own fault, not theirs. All of their frames are high end name brand (Michael Kors, Ralph Lauren, Versace etc.) so if that's what you are looking for and can afford it, this is your place. I did like how it's a one stop shop, eye exam to glasses or contacts, ready within 24 hours - 7 days depending on your needs. Again, if you can't afford to spend $400-$500 on a pair of glasses, do you research, Lens Crafters is not the place for you. read more
