Warby Parker has cornered the market on low price eyewear but make no mistake- you 100% get what you pay for. Having always ordered prescription glasses through insurance, I decided to try out Warby's Costa Mesa and Brea locations to size out and ultimately order a pair of glasses. The selection and service at CM location was quite a bit better, however you can't beat the convenience of the Brea Mall location. Upon a visit to Brea, they lacked much inventory and the staff were strangely icey when answering general questions. The WP eyeglasses were received in two weeks time and were decent quality though they had a very plastic feel. I wound up exchanging them for another pair due to the loose fit of one of the lenses. The new pair had a better fit and were reinforced at the temple area- a bit curious to see when both frames should have been the same quality. This all said, if I were to go through this experience again- I would just deal with the online store as the in-person experience was very average. read more

I walked in today to pick out 2 pairs of prescription glasses for the 1st time ever. One for my purse and one for my car. I had no idea what I was (narrow, wide,...low bridge,..) and what would look good on me. Within 30 minutes I had them picked out, insurance looked up, ordered, and all reflected on my app. Within minutes the email confirmation came thru, then my insurance submission. We went into Warby Parker for an eye exam and to purchase new glasses. We were greeted immediately but there was one person ahead of us for the eye exam. I must mention, my wife did make an appointment beforehand so it was scheduled. We waited about 20 minutes or so and she was called in. This Warby Parker is conveniently located inside the Brea Mall so I took the kids around the mall to browse the stores while she was at her appointment. Her appointment was about 30-45 minutes long. When she called me to head back, everything was ready to be paid for. The nice young lady that helped us (I might get her name wrong but I think her name was Alyssa) helped look through my insurance information because I can't remember the last time I looked into it. She gave me the break down on what my coverage was and what my allowance was for glasses. Safe to say, I'll be receiving a reimbursement check in the mail so I was happy. The selection of glasses was pretty good. They had a lot of styles to choose from for both men and women. The price range for them was also a solid bang for your buck in my opinion. I would recommend this place if you're looking for glasses (or sunglasses) just make sure to schedule an appointment so you can just walk in and not have to worry about them not being able to see you that day (yes, pun intended) read more

My everyday Warby's needed another adjustment since the last adjustment a couple weeks ago. The nose pad on the left side has been digging into the bridge of my nose. I drove out to Brea early to be there about when they opened. I parked by Macy's Men thinking that's where it was - but it's actually on the wing by Nordstrom & JC Penny. It's right next door to that EV car company and directly across from the Apple Store. There were 2 employees in there when I walked in and I was greeted, I explained that I needed an adjustment cuz the nose pad was hurting me. The employee that helped me was super nice and she was able to make the adjustment quickly and better than the Irvine location. I was really impressed with how she was able to surgically adjust the frames with ease. It was great and they are still comfortable after a few weeks. read more

The staff here are super friendly and the customer service is a 10/10! They don't pressure you into buying, and they make sure you're satisfied with your purchase. They have such cute frames and I love their wide lenses. I definitely will be back for my next pair! read more

My thoughts: Pros: nice, clean, modern store. Staff was helpful, patient with my questions. Cute frames. Reliable service. Cons: selection is slim for those with higher prescriptions, imo. Frame colors are a bit limited... could be more exciting. Make sure they get all the measurements correctly before sending it to the manufacturer. We walked in and never were noticed . We tried on about 6 pairs and still no hello , how may I help, not even a head nod . It is a small store, 2 employees and yet not one indication we were seen . There was 1 customer in the store besides us but their conversation between them all was much more important . I came with intention of buying a regular pair as well as sunglasses. i would not spend my money in a place that literally ignored a customer . It must be the area or just poorly trained employees. Omg, seriously. Y'all, need to drop what you're doing and where you're going for glasses... and take your asses to Warby Parker, or hit them up online. I cannot believe we found super stylish glasses for my husband for *only* $95. WTF. HOW?! His last pair are about 6yrs old, Ray Bans and cost a ridiculous amount. Don't get me wrong, they're nice; they're Ray Bans after all. But they're also basic black with a red accent on the inside of the arms. We'd been looking for a "cool/fashionable" pair that weren't "in-your-face" fashionable. More low key-sleek. Well, this place didn't disappoint. I'm still in sticker shock. I hope they hold up well over time, but even if they only last 2yrs... pfft, they're $95! Hell, I may have him buy more just to change up his look from time to time. INSANE, I TELL YOU! When the lenses of the first pair of glasses that Warby Parker sent me weren't quite right, I took them into this store, and the store's employees said Warby Parker would replace them at no charge. Ordered my glass from Warby Parker a longgg time ago but never got around to getting them fitted... FINALLY had time to drop in and get them adjusted. Jeff was super helpful, patient, and accommodating. I brought in 2 pairs, in addition to the one I was wearing. He cleaned and adjusted all 3 of them so that they fit just right. He was careful not to adjust them too much at once and repeatedly assured me it was no problem at all. The space is the perfect size to look at and try on tons of frames. If you're new to WP, you're in for a treat. Their prices are some of the lowest around and their styles are on point. You can park anywhere around the mall but I think access from the Macy's Men, Children, & Home parking lot is the closest. The Warby Parker store is on the first floor right across from the Apple Store so you shouldn't have any trouble finding it once you get in. read more

Woman canceled my order without my consent, and tried to tell me to adjust the pupil center point with limited knowledge that the glasses actually were ok with the pupil center points but she instead of fixing the actual problem which the prescription were not correct and the lenses were blurry. She insisted on telling me to readjust the pupil point. What a waste of my time!! Please hire professionals who can do the proper job and talk to the customer before canceling the order!!! read more

Really friendly salespeople, but I got a contact lens exam here on 11/23 and they said they'd place an order for a trial pair as they didn't have any in, and it would come the next week. Two weeks go by with no contact (or contacts), and I called warby Parker myself. They said an order was never placed and my contact lens exam results weren't uploaded. I'm not one to leave bad reviews but I just had to share my experience with this Warby Parker store. My boyfriend and I went in today around 4:20pm and got a simple welcome. There were 4 employees standing there talking and instead of them approaching us asking if we needed help they just continued with their very "important" conversation. I've been a Warby Parker customer for years now and we went in to shop for new frames. I've been to the Newport and LA location and had a wonderful experience at both of them. Today we were near the Brea location and I just have to say that I should've just driven much farther for a better experience. None of the 4 employees offered any help or asked if we had questions. My boyfriend and I kept chatting about frames we were considering and the pros/cons between them all - literally chatting right next to where the employees were standing. And it's important to note that we were the only clients in the store so I know they heard us. None of them seemed to care about closing the sale. I was ready to buy but instead took pictures of the frames I'm considering and will be buying online. If you're looking for new frames, save yourself the time and drive to the Newport location where you'll actually get great customer service! read more

My sister has been ordering from WB for a few years online only. I never liked online only for glasses - I really like to try them on and test a bunch of different styles out. The store is very clean and bright. It was very easy to make an eye appt online and it was next day available for a weekend. Dr. Mirzaei was very kind and informative and helpful in recommending what kind of glasses and contacts to go with. It's really convenient to then come out and pick out your glasses and order your contacts. Francis P. was really kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I like how most of the styles come in most of the different color options. I got the contacts and glasses so quickly in the mail. I still need to go back for an adjustment, but knowing their policy to have free adjustments at any time is comforting, as well as guarantee behind their glasses. Reasonable prices for contacts and glasses. Not the very cheapest, but very convenient so that's ok with me. Frames are all pretty inexpensive- not designer brands or necessarily the most top quality but reasonable for the price. Only slight downfall is that they have to charge you completely separately for every charge. Some of that might be to help you with the insurance claims, but it's still a little bit of a nuisance. As well as, one of the machines doesn't take apple pay/tap to pay. Not sure why it doesn't work, but that is not as convenient as it could be. read more

I live in Brea and have been buying Warby Parker with enthusiasm for over ten years. Recently, I have had trouble with the York frame in rose gold. The frame is wearing in a concerning way. I went in to this location to try to figure out what is going on with the frame and determine solutions. Edwin and I talked at length about the situation. He was attentive, honest, reasonable, and helped me create my next steps for resolving my issue. The talk was a little intense at times but he kept his cool and seemed intent on providing the best customer service possible which I find to be broadly rarer and rarer nowadays. After today's interactions, I have even more confidence in Warby Parker even though the York frame has given me so much trouble. Thanks Edwin; keep up the good work. read more
