I have been coming to this target optical for several years, and while I've always received good customer service, today was probably the best experience I've ever had here. This morning my glasses snapped and broke, and so it was time to head in for a new pair. Katelynn the optician was extremely helpful and patient, very friendly and positive with everyone I saw her interact with. I saw Dr. K for my prescription, and I don't remember if I've seen her before, but all the doctors here have always been very nice and patient as well. Grateful for their service. I came in with progressive blurred vision as a 3 year post Lasik patient. I had been experiencing this issue for quite some time but noticed it getting more severe which prompted the visit. Dr Kawaguchi noticed I had trouble focusing during my exam and she used red/green background which was new to me as someone who always struggled with focus (astigmatism) during exams. Anyway I got prescribed glasses for my computer only. It's first day at work with my new glasses and for the first time in a while I'm not struggling to focus to read my emails etc and feeling grateful about it. She also diagnosed me with chronic dry eye and prescribe a remedy to me that I have been following consistently. I'm feeling much better! As for the two floor associates (forgive me for not remembering your names!) they were absolutely pleasant to work with from start to finish. I brought my son (high school teenager) to her office, assigned by US Military Recruitment. The facility is inside the Target store, small and very clean. The male staff was easy to communicate, he was very friendly and willing to do extra to help. A great guy, polite and professional. Dr. Tang, well, there was no "good morning", "please"....or anything like that when she approached us and said "follow me", not even eye contact with me (parent). It's not rude, but not friendly at all. She didn't introduce herself when she came toward us, just a "follow me". I thought she was the nurse in that office. When she led us to the next room, I suddenly realized she was Dr. Tang, since she was the only one in the exam room. After the quick eye exam, my son walked toward me and said "we are done", I raised up from the chair, and wanted to say "Thank you" and "Goodbye" to Dr. Tang. She didn't bother to raise her head to say anything to me. Not a single word. That was the first time I met Dr. Tang, and I did not have a chance to say "Hi" and "Thank you" to her. They are very unprofessional I have appointment @6pm Friday March 15th 2024. The secretary called me that morning and asked if I can do 5.30 pm I said I can't. I'm keeping my original appointment time when I went there at 6pm The clinic was closed and asked the nearby sunglasses and eyeglasses store and said the optometrist already left! Been here more than once and doctor is great but wait time can be lengthy. Stopped by to pickup glasses at 5pm and there was onky 1 employee workimg and she had 100% of her attention devoted to the 1 customer she was attending as the lime grew and we all waited for more staff it took 10 minutes to get acknowledged and were told the other worker was on lunch. This is understandable but it would have been nice for them to multitask and perhaps ask customers why they were there so that if anyone has a quick question or like me picking up glasses can get it done rather than devote all attention to 1 customer for over 20 minutes and tell everyone waiting to wait for the worker who should be back from lunch soon. I would have rated 4 stars but I also wasnt notifed of my glasses arriving so when I called to followup 3 days after they arrived I was told they were already in. I understand it may have been system error but still unfortunate experience so I'm rating it as Okay. Update: been here waiting 30 minites and theres still 2 others that were waiting ahead of me. read more

My insurance only provide one exam every year. After few days of research, I decided to have this place as my exam place for this year. I never needed a glasses before, but I started noticing some symptoms after sitting long hours at my computer. The Exam itself didn't take more than 10 minutes. I was in and out within 30 minutes in total. Not bad for Saturday. For Glasses, I saw some Oakley priced at $190 which was $60 cheaper than other places. Definitely will go there again! read more

I love Target and it was just another excuse to visit when I found out I could get my peepers checked there. I've needed some new glasses for a while and decided to break down and just make the appointment. The optical center is super clean and they have a great selection of glasses to choose from. The staff isn't pushy and you don't feel like you're being sold on everything that you do. Dr. Tang was quick and efficient. Since my appointment was on a weekend, she was a little behind, but kept apologizing for the delay. It was no biggie. I was in Target. Plenty to look at. The exam was quick and painless, got my prescription, picked out my frames and was on my merry way. I got my glasses in less than a week and I am officially no longer a danger on the road. Tip #1: Call ahead of time to see if your insurance is in-network or out-of-network. Though they do take a lot of out-of-network, you have to pay for everything up front then reimbursed a few weeks later for the amount approved for coverage. They explained that ahead of time, so it was no shock when I got there, but they get all of the paperwork filled out and faxed for you so that you don't have to worry about doing it yourself. Tip #2: It can get a little hectic on the weekends since everyone usually waits to make their appointment then. Go during the week. It seems to be more stress free. Tip #3: You can still save your 5% by using your Target card to pay. It's not a lot, but savings is savings. read more

I purchased a pair of Rayban Club Masters from this Target Optical location about a year ago. I had them filled with my prescription; the entire process was painless and I was happy with the outcome. I came in once more to have them adjusted to my face. It took longer than usual because I have a very low nose bridge, but the gentleman that assisted me wanted them to fit well and look right just as much as I did. Now that I have decided to get lasik, I need the original Rayban lenses. I called and spoke with Charles the manager . He informed me that typically the lab does not include original lenses when you work with Target, but he promised to call me back after seeing what he could do. Sure enough the lab couldn't help, but he pulled some strings and called a connection; I will be picking up my lenses tomorrow! I feel like this type of service should set the bar for all other companies. I received service as if I gave them business just last week. I would recommend working with Target Optical, especially this location. Their selection of glasses and sunglasses is very good as well! Lots of current models and trends. read more

From the moment I walked in there was so much help given!! The lady with the long brown hair helped me by answering all my questions and she was super patient with me (a lot of questions). Everything was so clean and the other worker with short cut blonde hair was super bubbly and friendly. My doctor was so quick, informative, and friendly!! I felt like everyone took their time to fulfill my needs!! Plus the price of the eye exam was sooo affordable (no vision insurance). And once I picked out the glasses of my choice the lady with the long brown hair was so sweet and made conversation, and helped me save so much money of what would have initially been super expensive. She looked into my medical insurance and turns out I can get a discount!? And she went beyond that and found another way that I would qualify for more of a discount ! I've gone in to see Dr. Tang for over six years now, and she's great! Very professional, the examinations are always very thorough without taking too long, and she genuinely cares about all her patients. My annual check-ups (examination, and picking out and purchasing new lenses and frames) never take more than two hours and you aren't pressured into buying anything you don't want. Overall I always have a very good experience with Dr. Tang and the Target Optical staff and will continue going here for years to come! read more

I didn't LOVE a pair of glasses I purchased a couple months back and they really do return them for you, no questions asked and no money lost. They credit the full amount to another pair of glasses and will order them for you right away. I ordered a pair of DKNY club master-ish glasses on a Wednesday and they were in by FRIDAY! The girl at the desk (didn't catch her name, light brown/blond hair with thick black glasses) was amazing. Super nice with a loud, friendly voice. Dr. Tang was quiet, didn't really make conversation with me. Just told me what to do. It was kind of awkward. I was trying to be nice but she seemed like she just wanted to do her job and get it over with. Might have just been having a rough start to her day. Not my most comfortable medical visit but definitely not the worst. That's why I'm still giving it four stars (mostly because of the front desk girl) Overall still a good place to go. I came here for contact eye exam. Exam alone was about $140 (more expensive than my previous optometrist, I've paid $250 for both contact and glasses prescription PLUS new frames) The front staff is friendly and outgoing. The doctor however, man she is straight to business and awkward. She left the room about three times and would come back in and just tell me what to do. She makes no small talk and NEVER asked me if I had any questions or concerns (which I did). She took my payment and never said thank you or even good bye, she literally walked me out and left me at the front desk and then disappeared. I get times are hard during this pandemic, but that is no excuse for horrible social skills/customer service. read more

I just started grad school so no more vision insurance. I was looking for an inexpensive place to have my annual eye exam and Target seemed good enough as any. I was satisfied with the service and price at Target Optical. I didn't have to wait long. It cost about $95 for an exam for contacts. I also got a deal for $89 for new glasses and was able to order a year's supply of my contacts and get about $30 off. Not a bad deal... The eye doctor was professional but not overly friendly. I was in and out in 15 minutes though so that was nice. The women in the office were very friendly and helpful. read more

I had a serious problem with recent purchas in target store. I paid the price but the product is not working. 1st Time to the store. I had a serious issue with the Target store in King o Prussia (Target opticals inside). I went to the store to purchase 3 glasses 1 each for my spouse, my kid and myself. I went to the store initially on 12/26/2017. The associate was very not that friendly to show the glasses and help us out to purchase our glasses. We did our search and found our glasses however, he said he can't take order as its 7.45 PM and he has to close by 8 PM. He asked me to come next day(Only me and NOT the family), since we have selected the glass and he just need the payment for the glasses. So this is the first time we went to the store (Extreme winter) 2nd Time to the store When I called on 12/28/2017 just confirm before i start to the store for making payment, he asked me to bring the entire family as he forgotten to take measurements. I again took my family to the store in the cold winter just because of his mistake by forgoting the measurements. We ordered the 3 pair of glasses on 12/28/2017 and paid the entire amount of total $210.38. He told me glasses will be ready in 10 - 15 days. I waited for 16 days and no information from the store(either call or text). Then I decided to call the store and spoken with another associate, she said she will reasearch the order and call me back. I waited for the call and there comes the shocking news. The frames we selected couldn't be made by their lab for mine and for my daughter. She said this would have been known on the next day, but the previous associate never checked the information which caused the huge delay. She again asked us come to the store to order a different glasses and asked us to bring the entire family, as she need to measure for the new frames. Only my wife glass was ready. 3rd time to the store. We went again to the store on 01/13/2018 (again with the entire family), we selected a new frame for me and my daughter. The associate said she will check with the lab for the frames we selected and confirm me in day or two. She called me back on 1/16/2018 and said the frames are good and they can able to make it. We agreed and she said again it will take 10 - 15 business days. I received a call after 10 days saying the glass are ready for me 4th time to the store. Me and my kid went to the store on 1/27/2018 at 12:40 PM and left the store around 2:40 PM, we spend 2 hours to collect our glasses. I kid glass was good and they delivered. Whereas my glass vision was not clear, so the associate tried to do some adjustment and the lens came out the glasses. She tried to get it fixed, but she can't. Finally after 2 hours, she asked me to go to the local optical (she provided the address which is 10 miles away from target and 20 miles away from my place) to get it fixed. She also said she would order the replacement and I have to return the damaged glass once the replacement order processed through. I went there and waited and they fixed temperorily. Finally I reached back home around 5 pm. (nearly 5 hours lost on the weekend) because of just picking the glass and the mistake made the lab and the associate in target opticals. I called her after 3 days and she said the replacement order was back-ordered and it could take time. Nobody contacted me after that and I started to follow up on this issue. At last finally one day Manager was available in the store and she said the glass has arrived and she asked me to bring the broken glass(temporary glass lens came out in 4 days) to collect the new glass. 5th time to the store. After all the frustration, Finally I was happy thinking my glass is ready and headed towards the store on 2/15/2018. I returned the broken glass and received the new glass. And there was a shocking news again, glass was not tight on the face and it doesn't fit. when I asked the associate, he said he can't adjust it and asked me to come again next day as the manager will be available in the store and she can reorder with the new measurements. I was frustrated here and came out by just collecting the unfit glass and I asked the associate to inform the manager and ask her to call next day to discuss how to solve this issue. However, no one contacted me from then on. Now I lost my money for my glass which is $118. and the glass I can't wore. I used my insurance benefits to purchase the glass and they claimed the for original glasses which were too costly eventhough they said they can't make it. Also, I don't have the option to go to different store because of they have already claimed from the insurance also and I have paid 118$ from my pocket. Myself and my family is mentally stressed out because of going to the store repeated and never received the service for what we paid. My home is 30 miles round trip to this store. and already drove more than 200 miles related to this glass problem and because of this optical store associates read more
