My first visit was a really good experience overall. The eye exam, glasses fitting, and contact…read morelens fitting all felt smooth and thorough. The doctor is professional, easy to talk to, and has a very relaxed, chill demeanor that made the appointment comfortable. I was also recommended Optase Hylo Relief dry eye drops and they've been great. They keep my eyes lubricated with contacts and feel noticeably better than other brands I've tried. David, the office manager, is very straightforward, sometimes blunt, but always clear and helpful. There was a miscommunication with my contact lenses that left me unable to receive them for about two to three months. Luckily I had enough supply to get by. David was instrumental in resolving the issue, which stemmed from my vision benefits. He followed up diligently and handled everything with professionalism and persistence. The matter ultimately resolved with my insurance, and I was impressed by his level of service throughout. Overall, a very positive experience with attentive care and strong follow through when an issue came up. I will definitely be back!

He is always attentive to eye health and has greatly helped us with our youngest's sight issues. Not only is Dr Choi great but so is his office staff. We never have to wait more than 10 minutes, it's a well oiled machine. David is incredibly efficient and knowledgeable. Their selection of frames is vast and they do turn around lens in store-- which is so convenient. Their pricing is on par and they work with insurance. We truly can't recommend this office more! If you're thinking about going, just book the appointment, you won't be sorry.

I used to make the drive here even after I moved because I've been going to Dr Yoon for almost two decades now & love her. However, along with recent incidents due to some change in management, my trip today was really appalling. Let's start with January when I scheduled my annual exam, I came in & noticed the place looked really disorganized & saw some new employees. This man asked me how he could help & I let him know that I had an appointment. He proceeded to tell me that I was early for my annual exam since I was just here 6 months ago in May. I had never had an issue of booking my appointments before the one year mark & was wondering why I wasn't given a phone call then before I came in if this was a problem. I let him that it's been 8 months technically & if it was a problem and he proceeded to say no. Then along with looking disorganized & the busiest I've ever seen them, I noticed a different optometrist then Dr Yoon & asked if she retired & was told she had semi-retired & only came twice a week so I asked to reschedule based off of everything. I saw another lady write in a calendar book my new appointment for March. I showed up for my appointment in March & made the drive again to get told they don't see my appointment. Don't know how that happened because I saw her write it in their calendar on that day the time slot I was coming. Dr Yoon graciously still saw me & along with contacts I ordered some new glasses. Typically my glasses & contacts come within 2 weeks.. max 3 & I usually get a call when it's ready & I get told if only one is ready & given the option to wait til both are ready. They have this new generic texting system where it said my glasses and/or contacts are ready & so my bad.. I get it says "or" but you would think that if only one was ready, they'd let me know. So I leave work early today to go pick them up, just to be told only my glasses are ready. The same guy from the January visit shows me my glasses... & I'm not quite sure they're mine because they look different from what I remember. These today had this distinct mark at the ends that are pretty noticeable that I don't recall seeing the last time. When I mention me not being sure this is what I ordered, he proceeds to do this condescending laugh saying it is what I ordered. Not sure what was so funny but I didn't say anything the first time but as we are still discussing this manner, he proceeded to laugh again & so I had to ask "what is so funny about this situation right now?" That's when a younger girl who worked there stepped in & was very professional, sweet & tried to make the matter right. While she was working with me, he tried to jump into our convo & to be frank, I told him I didn't want to talk to him. Normally in a situation like this, you would think as an employee, he would give me my space but he proceeded to say to me "I don't want to talk to you either". I wish I was making this up. Then when I proceeded to make a comment about his laugh being unnecessary in this situation, he said "should I have cried then?" in Korean. That comment is not only incredibly inappropriate & rude but it does acknowledge that he indeed was laughing. I was in shock that this is how a business talks to their customers & so I had to say my piece to him about how he was talking to me. I ended up talking to the new manager because Dr Yoon wasn't there but it seems like these two guys are friends because he didn't even care to hear everything about what happened & was abrupt with basically saying "there's no way we could have gotten your glasses mixed up. You could have just read his laugh the wrong way. How do you want us to fix the glasses? Do you want to just replace them" along with the most half-*ssed apology. I even told him that last time I came I heard another lady say that her glass order was wrong and he said it could be her not remembering due to her old age & it was me not remembering maybe due to it being almost a month ago. Like holy cow...so long story long.. i knew there was no point in getting into it with this guy about my feedback expecting anything to change. I ended up just talking to the younger girl again & my hands were even shaking when I was writing my address down because I was in such shock & had so much anger over what happened. She was sweet enough to offer to personally deliver my contacts but I declined since I know it's a long drive for her. I kept the glasses because I don't want to deal with this place any longer & feel very uncomfortable with that man. I planned on still coming here until Dr Yoon retired but I won't be back. Please please STAY FAR AWAY from this place..

Thank goodness I've got a wonderful optometrist like Leo. He and his staff are always so helpful and professional. I'm going to be extremely disappointed if he decides to retire. As always, he did a thorough job of checking changes in my vision and informing me of any additional steps that may be necessary based on his examination. It's amazing how when one of his employees leaves, he's able to find a replacement that continues to provide the same excellent level of service. Patients are treated like family and it's always comfortable coming in for examinations and selecting new eyewear. Highly recommended.

No pressure from the staff at all and they even helped recommend which are best for my head shape. When i say no pressure, it really is as they also offered to give me my prescription so I could order glasses on the side. The doctor I had was patient and kind. She walked me through all the steps thoroughly and paused to check I had any questions. I've only purchased glasses from this place and took my eye exam elsewhere…read more I had a great experience at Optometry on Orangethorpe from start to finish. Janine was extremely helpful throughout the process and took the time to answer my questions with no impression that I was wasting her time. The staff are very patient, knowledgeable, and friendly. I had a weird vision insurance snafu and they allowed me to pick out frames and options, and then pay the next day over the phone after they reconciled with the provider. There is a decent selection of frames at this store. I just received my glasses and the prescription is as expected. I'm not sure which specific type of lenses they use, but they feel quality and so far I'm more than happy with my purchase. Parking is right by the building and I had no issues in the late afternoon. I appreciate that they are open until 7PM a couple days a week. Sure it's a bit more expensive than Costco or online stores but I feel like the extra bit is worth it considering the services received.

Horrible experience. Hollie Huynh did not provide the vision care I was charged for. Hollie Huynh…read moredid not provide any instructions of what to do during the exam, she just threw a eye blocker at me, and put up words, and flipped through prescriptions rapidly without any communication of how to communicate better or worse? which eye to close? where to look with other tests? I was given less than a second at each prescription and it was moved on before I could blink. I WAS NOT EVEN GIVEN TIME TO BLINK TO TEST THE DIFFERENT RXs. Rapid incorrect decisions were made about my prescription, and then she just walked out and came back, all confused on what my prescription was, shifting between several numbers. When I asked for proper medical care, she blamed the staff, who were doing their jobs well. I asked to be tested again, which she did with the same negligible care, which provided me no assurance. I kept asking for explanations or more than 3 seconds on decisions about my vision. Do I really need to explain why vision is important for humans beings? I was provided with no intelligible explanation, I kept saying 'I do not know what this means' and she would just not respond and walk out or said some reactive-fragmented words and just went 'OK?' and kept opening the door to push me out. To be clear, I have a PHD in neuroscience, I am fully capable of understanding and knowing intelligible words and proper eye testing. Decisions about my prescription were made from improper testing. I had paid extra for the non-dilated vision test and when I asked for a doctor to read the results as she was pushing me out the door, she said I needed to get my eyes dilated for it. I re-explained again and again, until she gave a few seconds to actually listen and then spent less than that scanning the photos and just went 'they're ok' with one hand already on the door. They then gave me the incorrect prescription paper at check out again and I was not charged correctly for my insurance. It is ridiculous I paid for vision care I did not receive and I do not trust any of it. This is not OK. Is there an actual doctor at this practice who does provide proper vision testing?
