I called them asking about dry eye services (such as IPL or Radio Frequency treatments). They said they didn't have it, but got my contact info. Sumi emailed me later that day and provided referrals from Dr. Huang for the services I was looking for. I didn't expect a response, since I'm not a patient there and was just some guy calling them, but they responded quickly and were helpful in doing so! Good customer service here. I have been going to Dr. Pochi for 7 years and he has always been consistently helpful, professional, kind and personable. I appreciate the care he gives to his patients and attention to any concerns I have had with my vision and other eye challenges. His staff are extremely friendly and professional as well. Today I discovered I had a floater in my eye that needed to be examined for potentially more serious conditions and Dr. Pochi was able to see me last minute to ensure it was looked at. Although this eye floater is an inconvenience ...I am grateful to know I didn't have a retinal tear. I tried out this place since my previous optometrist visits resulted in blurry sight and massive headaches after a day of using the trial run contacts. They were able to fit me in and were able to accommodate a change in plan last minute due to another issue with my previous optometrist. The visit was very fast and the optometrist was very helpful in explaining to me what might have been a cause for the headaches. I'm using the trial set from that visit (2 days ago) and I haven't had a single headache. Another thing worth noting is the customer service! They were so accommodating and thoughtful. They even gave me a foam wrap for my glasses that I had wrapped up in paper towels to avoid any scratching. Definitely going back to them for my eyewear and eyesight needs. read more

This optometrist office is very nice. The location itself has a lot of parking and is easily accessible. The staff and doctor were truly amazing! They were able to take me in before my appointment time which I appreciated. I was helped out by the technician before seeing the doctor. The technician was so nice, she explained everything before and made sure I was comfortable. The doctor was able to see me immediately after and went over the tests and how my vision looked. He was very knowledgeable and open to any questions I had. After my prescription was determined was what set this office aside from other eye doctors I've seen in the past. Usually they will push expensive frames or try to upsell me on extras. At this office, it was clearly explained by what my insurance covers and how much additional costs would be. I ultimately decided to hold off on getting frames at that time but appreciated not feeling pressured to make a purchase right away. I will absolutely come back here for my annual exam! read more

I've been wearing glasses for about 25 years now it's very difficult to get a precise grade due to my astigmatism but dr. huang always tries his best to get an accurate grade. Nice staff and state of the art equipment, but after many visits and three pairs of glasses over the years, I have been disappointed with results which are always blurry, far and near vision is never correct despite the eye exam with amazing equipment. When the glasses are sent back to adjust, they are always the same: blurry and very hard to adjust to. Also, the selection for frames is very limited. So sorry, I wish this was better because I like the location and the staff; just not the results. read more

My wife and I went back again for the 4th time/year and my family and I will always come back again. Dr. Huang is really an excellent optometrist. He is really nice, very knowledgeable and extremely patient. He just added a device that can help him look farther in the back of the eyeball and enables him for example to have a more detailed view of the nerves and detect (early signs of) glaucoma. Took my 6 yo for her first eye exam. We had an appointment and arrived early to do our paperwork. Dr. Huang took us in right away and was so kind and explained everything as he went along to my child to make sure she was comfortable and unafraid. This is nothing less than perfect and professional! Ive never felt so at home, so informed about my eye site than when i came here. I recently broke my Prada frames at a The Uses show three months ago. I started a new job so i didnt qualify for insurance until 90 days since my start date. I was using an old pair of contacts from lord knows how long ago. Until just this morning i found a white dot by my retna. Of course i freaked out and used Yelp to look for the nearest eye dr. To my amaze, my work called me to tell me i already have VSP and should be in the system. For a month i was waiting for my VSP card to come in the mail. As i was informed by the good people at this fine establishment, VSP doesnt send it member cards. I had called in advance to explain my situation and they respectively took down the serial number to my Prada frames. When i got there i was greated by everyone there! Especially the beautiful receptionist Stephanie. Right on the spot, they fot my insurance info. And was ready to be examined and by a new set of frames. From start to finish i was treated like royalty, everyone explained what each exam was for. Stephanie was very kind and soft spoken during my eye tests. Then when i finally met with Dr. Huang, it was like hanging out with my friends. He explained my condition and the small infection on my eye. I was scared id have to continue to use these beat up contacts until my frames came in. But Dr. Huang did something above and beyond what was needed, at least to me, he gave me a pair of Ultra Comfy contacts until my frames came in. To me this was exactly what i needed, maybe its been a long time since ive gone to other Optometrista but this amazed me. So needless to say this visit was far from what i expected. It was 5 star 5 diamond service in my book. Everyone was friendly and informative. And Stephainie was the eye candy i needed to make my visit that much better. I have a weaker prescription so am pretty bad about letting years go in between getting my eyes examined. My brother spoke effusively about this place and I had some spare time during a visit to California, so made an appointment. The facilities were spotless and every stop in the process of my examination was characterized by something being wiped or otherwise sterilized. I'm not normally that concerned with cleanliness, but when my eyes are involved, it's a pretty big deal and the entire experience exceeded my standards. One other note about facilities: the air puff machine they have is much less aggressive than any other that had been used on me in the past. In all, it is very clear that they have nothing but the most cutting edge equipment. Dr. Huang himself was efficient and thorough, and took every step to make sure that I was comfortable and finely tuning my prescription, surprising even me in how good the resultant correction would be. He was also very knowledgeable, not just in being able to tell me things about the particulars of my eyes that other eye doctors hadn't, but also in helping me understand how my insurance worked, and in being up-to-speed on the latest in eyewear fashion. All told, I left pleasantly surprised with how well the checkup went and with a pair of glasses I was very happy with. I would recommend them to anyone looking to know more about their eyes through a smooth, friendly eye experience. read more

Dr. Huang was professional, calming, thorough, patient, and made me feel like I had known him for years. His brother, Poy, takes care of the office and is super smiley. I've been going to many optometrists over the course of 30 years and Dr. Huang is the only one to actually take into consideration my health history and conduct additional eye/vision tests to check for issues related to my pre-existing conditions. I also subjected Dr. Huang and Poy to 3-4 hours of my unrelenting indecisiveness in selecting frames but both were completely fine with judging which frames were better for my face and even went as far as giving me reasons why some frames were better and why some were not the greatest. Parking is plentiful and free and the business is adjacent to several tasty food joints. Definitely a worthwhile experience and am certain I will be keeping Cypress Point Optometry as my go-to spot for eye care. read more

I adore this team. They are so incredibly kind and helpful. First, the reviews of Dr. Huang were all so true. He was kind and welcoming and really took the time to explain the scans and what he was doing, even defining some of the terms he was using. When i used the prescription finding machine thing (1? Or 2?) he made sure I didn't feel rushed to give an answer and had some affirmations for when I wasn't sure. He even did everything twice to really hone in on my prescription. Secondly, the front office staff was incredible. A particular shout out to Uly who spent so much time to help me find the right glasses, and was soooooo patient and kind to me. I spent hours over three visits because of my indecisiveness but she reassured me every time. She even ordered a different pair of frames just so I can try them out. I'm so disappointed because Dr. Huang is so nice and wonderful to work with but it just came to a time where I was going back and forth on trials and not being able to find the right contact prescription. I was going to leave this and not write a review but couldn't keep quiet because my glasses prescription he wrote me was too high and now is so uncomfortable I can't wear it past a few hours. I know my eyes are difficult but I was hoping he'd just refund me my money and tell me to go to my former optometrist (in K-Town, which is why I chose to find a new optometrist in the first place), but he was so persistent. Just disappointed I spent so much time and money (I have really bad eyesight so I need those expensive lenses) on making my world a blurrier place. Just a beware to those with really bad eyesight or "difficult" (i.e. astigmatism). Side note, the Hispanic lady in the front was kind of rude. read more

Best place to get your glasses/contact lenses! Came here a couple of weeks ago looking for a new Optometry since I just moved back to OC and recently broke my glasses. Called in for an appointment and got me in few days after. I forgot her name but the front desk helped me in so many ways. I came in to get my other glasses updated and also get contact lenses and she helped me maximize my insurance and saved money! PLUS I asked her if they could expedite my glasses since I use it everyday. She said usually takes 2 weeks but she'll expedite it for me for free. Few days after she called me that my glasses and contact lenses were ready. It was so fast! Also, Dr. Hung's the best! He made the whole check up comfortable and very informative. Scheduled an appointment here because I wanted to have a second pair of glasses; it was the best decision ever to come here! Collete helped me with my appointment and choosing my glasses. She also explained to me very thoroughly what was covered under my insurance plan. I really appreciated that she took the time to explain to me the details of the cost of my glasses. Dr. Huang is the optometrist here and he is awesome! Very professional and very knowledgeable. You can tell he has been doing this for a while because of the confidence he exudes. My last 2 optometrist didn't really explain much to me; they just took me in, did the exam, and wrote the prescription and sent me on my way. Dr. Huang took the time to make sure that my vision was corrected the right way; moreover, he explained to me potential issues I could encounter after examining my eyes. He is also very personable and really makes you feel comfortable. The choice of glasses are not big brands like Prada, Gucci, etc. But if you're like me and branded glasses are not a concern, then you will be just fine here.
