I've been to Apollo for several mani-pedi sessions, and most of them were satisfactory. But I think with interior design/cleanliness and the amount of space available, Apollo is definitely still up there amongst my top choices of Seattle nail salons. Today was not the case. I've been seeing a few reviews about how the service seems rushed and they're not very careful, but my experience has been pretty pleasant so far, so I went ahead and booked a last minute deluxe pedicure before my trip tomorrow. I have been going to another salon because getting an appointment over the weekend at Apollo hasn't been easy, and I'm honestly not sure if the service quality has changed or if the staff that took care of me (Ha) today was not as experienced. Early on in the pedicure, while cleaning up my cuticles, she clipped or cut my toe skin, which led to bleeding. At first, I didn't say anything because I assumed it was a loose skin that got pulled off and the bleeding would stop soon. However, the bleeding continued throughout most of the session (it stopped as she started putting on the polish) and the stinging was pretty bothersome, and I'm someone with a very high tolerance with pain. She didn't apologize for the incident but kept silent and continued putting on/taking off what I assume was a cotton ball with alcohol on the cut until the bleeding stopped. My appointment was at 10am, which is when the salon first opens in the morning. I saw maybe a handful of people who were there and there was no reason for the staff to be rushed under any circumstances, especially when there weren't many customers, so much as to clip skin and cause extensive bleeding. I booked online the day before. It was super easy and convenient! I scheduled a shellac manicure and a classic pedicure. When I got there, they seated me immediately and got to work. One lady was doing my hands, and another lady was doing my feet. The salon was extremely clean and quiet, and it was very easy to relax. I loved the care they put into my manicure and pedicure. My cuticles were nicely cut, and my nails were well shaped. The nail polish was well distributed on the nail (not streaky or gloopy). The equipment was clean. Great attention to detail! When my pedicure was done, they told me to wait 15-20 mins in my massage chair so my toes could dry. I received excellent service from beginning to end. I'll be back! Tip: Make sure you get there early. It can take a while to find parking on Cap Hill. read more

Booked a group appointment and gave them an $80+ deposit. Some of our group arrived late due to an emergency. We spoke with them and let them know we're on the way. We showed up and they told us they're keeping our deposit because we're late. The front desk girl was incredibly rude and entitled. They don't do dip or acrylics which is bizarre. Will not return and would not recommend anyone to visit here. read more

I'll never go anywhere else to get my nails done! I wish I remembered the girl who did my nails, but I've heard all of them are great. I got a Shellac manicure and this is a week after, as I didn't get a photo right after. I asked for white, and she even pulled out 3 different shades of white for me to choose from!! They're also sticklers for appointments and time - so don't be late and call ahead to confirm your reservation, especially if it is a group. Finally, parking is hard to find as this is on a busy-ish street in Capitol Hill, so plan ahead for that too :) read more

This is a review of the service and pedicure I received from Rachel. It was my first time at Apollo, which seemed clean and busy. It did not seem like Rachel was paying attention during my pedicure, she kept looking at my face rather than my feet. At one point, she got up and left for several minutes. It was obvious that other customers around me were receiving more care and attention. After she painted my nails, she handed me the receipt and walked away. She didn't indicate how long I should wait for my nails to dry or even where to pay. When it became obvious that she was not going to return, several other technicians came to help. She finally showed up but she didn't help me get out of the chair or move several obstacles out of my path. There needs to be consistency among technicians in the service they provide. Given I now live in Austin I have a very difficult time finding a place like Apollo Nails so still frequent here when I am in town. It doesn't matter who you get all the staff is good. Having NEVER had a pedicure I treated myself to a deluxe ! I wasn't prepared to have a nail tech Amy who loved her job, spoke to me about her country and had the most comfortable and amazing experience. I love how you can make an appointment, text, and send emails to remind you and are ON TIME. I will be back and the quality of work was better than I ever expected. I was really excited to try out this nail salon, especially after seeing the reviews, listening to a friends recommendation, and photos of the inside. I will NOT be coming back here. They rush you to choose a color and the difference of service whether an individual was Caucasian or a person of color, was very apparent. They engaged in conversation and were more polite to white individuals during service. Additionally, the nail tech kept hitting my skin with the motor nail filer multiple times and never once apologized or acknowledged this. Worst and most rude nail service I've received. read more

It was a very underwhelming experience. I got the most expensive pedicure with shellac. The man who got a basic got more massage than me. She barely spent a minute massage. Well... todays service was not at all what I would expect coming in. We have been their customers for the last year or so. The service is always awesome so I really didn't mind the trip from Bellevue every few weeks to get our nails done. When we went in today I guess there was a misunderstanding on what services we booked ( I thought we were scheduled for 5 shellac manis and pedi's but they had us for shellac mani and spa pedi) and the girl that was at the front desk was very rude about it, storming in the back room and saying out loud we totally messed up their schedule!?!? Instead of saying " hey we have you scheduled for this and our schedule is fully booked" ( which would be totally fine by me) she just went on and on. At the end she took the slips out of my hand not even looking at me or asking how was the service( girls in the past always asked) she started huffing and puffing. She also called me " a f...Ing weirdo" for asking her not to raise her voice at me. She just said " I don't like the way you talk to me!". Well guess what, I didn't like the way she talked to me since we walked in but because of my children and other ppl in the salon I kept my calm. So disrespectful and rude. I'm not usually the one leaving reviews and complaining about minor issues but this was little too much and deserves a feedback. What a gem of a place! I called ahead to see if they had space for a walk-in and they were happy to accommodate me for a Spa Pedicure. My nail technician (Irene) was so thorough and spent a lot of time cleaning my cuticles and getting all the dead skin off... after being on lockdown since March it was MUCH NEEDED! Oh, Apollo! What a great nail salon. I've grown up around my family's salons and all my aunties being nail technicians, so it was hard to get a mani/pedi that serves as good practice for them, too. Now that I live in Seattle, it's a bit hard to take advantage of these perks. Sad, I know. A friend recommended that we come in for a bit! I got a manicure while my friend got a pedicure. The receptionist sat us both in the big massage/pedicure bath chairs so that we could be seated together which was much appreciated. It was comforting to see so many Vietnamese nail techs who were not only good at what they do, but seemed to be enjoying their jobs, too! It was nice to strike up a mini-conversation with the both of them and they were super cute when they realized my friend and I were Vietnamese, too. After all the small talk and catching up with juicy gossip, we were both finished in roughly 30 minutes! We were offered to come back to try out the champagne mani/pedis and I'll have to say, I'm definitely intrigued! It's no wonder this place is ranked #1 by Evening Magazine.... Just be prepared to look for a little bit of parking. I think we ended up parking on the street, so it was only a few bucks to validiate anyways. I went in for a Brazilian wax and a mani/pedi. Brazilian 1 star: If you are a pre-op trans woman I'd go somewhere else for your Brazilian. It was one of the most painful Brazilians I've had and a lot of spots were missed leaving some patches and I had to remind the aestheticism about my backside. Which, for me, is arguably the most important part. A day later and I'm still beyond tender. Pedicure 3 star: Pedicure was pretty nice. The massage was a little hard but still quite relaxing. Manicure 4 star: The manicurist took wonderful attention to detail on my cuticles. Only one side of one of my fingers hurts a day later (which is pretty normal for me). Overall they seemed to take Covid very seriously. read more

I have found my new go-to nail and waxing salon in Seattle! I've always walked by Apollo Nail Salon and was blown away by their ambiance and how many customers they consistently had. I finished up my first shellac mani/eyebrow waxing appointment there today and now I can say, "I totally get it" This salon is incredibly sanitary and workers seem to love being here. I appreciated my technician's attention to detail and how she did my eyebrow waxing. They even have organic offerings for environmentally friendly options. I've been going to Apollo for a little over a year. My best friend and I started going monthly once COVID allowed things to reopen. Wide assortment of polish, everyone is friendly and sanitary, but over the year, it felt more and more like cookie cutter service. On more than 1 occasion, nails weren't even cut, leaving me to go home and cut them myself, and a few times the polish started chipping immediately. After my last pedicure, I got home to notice the polish was super bumpy, and my nails were trimmed, only filed, my friend took the polish off within a week because it was so bad. I called the store and was told the Mgr would respond within a few days, and a month later, nothing. We've taken our business up the street, to a smaller shop, where customers are appreciated and treated with detail and professionalism from start to finish. We will not be returning. read more

i usually love Apollo, but this time around it just didn't do for me. I asked my nail tech if she was able to do a gel design, and if not it was okay to just one color. She went ahead and did the design with regular polish and made it too thick so it didn't dry and chipped a lot. I called in for a redo and they were quick to fix it. I came back in and had the same nail tech. She made my nails very thick, bubbly, uneven, and messy. I kept telling her what was wrong but I don't think it was understood. I have gone to Apollo Nail Salon off and on for several years. I have been very satisfied with their service up until now. I went in for a pedicure and explained to my stylist that one of my toes had been broken in the past so she had to be careful with it. She was careful alright, so careful that she never cut it. She pretended to cut it but only filed it down a little. Due to my disability, I was unable to really check it out and had to wait until I got home for someone to take a look. She also cut the nails on my two large toes that caused them to turn inward which is painful. When I called to speak with a manager, one was not available. She would have to call me back. This is the second time Ive been here and both times I've left disappointed. The first time- the pedicure was fine, but my nails were not. They didn't give me ample time to dry them and they literally were messed up by the time I got home. And they cut my nails too short and so my fingers were tender. I decided to try again since I was gonna do shellac and my nails will be dry when I leave. However, they failed to remove all of my previous gel nail polish (it was stubborn, I get it) and did only two coats of polish. And with that the polish was so sheer you can see where they didn't remove all of the previous color. All in all, I'm pretty disappointed with they way my nails look. I really enjoy this Apollo location. Come here regularly with two friends every month or so, and they always seem to be able to fit us in. The ambience is modern and fun, and the ladies are always nice. Tons of polish and shellac choices. The massage chairs for the pedicures are lovely. The scrub and massage you get with the pedicures is just wonderful, especially to help unwind. I look forward to many more return trips. read more

Nhi was my nail technician and she made me feel relaxed and well taken care of. I get regular pedicures for work and this has become my favorite spot in Seattle.
