I wanted to like this place because of the location and the chairs are nice. Woman who did my nails had a super dirty station and it had hair and dust all over it. Didn't clean it in between clients. My nail chipped right after I got them done and so instead of fixing it she just filed it down and now it's so much shorter than all my other nails. Pedis are super pricy and I was only in the chair for 20 min! I went to 'Tina's Nails' and, oh boy, they definitely didn't know how to do nails. First off, the place smelled like a chemical factory exploded. I should've run then, but I wanted to give them a chance. That was before it took them over an hour to squeeze me in when they claim they take walk ins, mind you there was 2 other people in the salon. The nail tech claimed she couldn't do acrylic herself and encouraged press ons. PRESS ONS? I can do that myself at home. She filed my nails so aggressively, I'm pretty sure I saw sparks. And the polish? Don't even get me started. It was goopy, uneven, and chipped before I even left the salon. To top it off, they got polish all over my skin and left it that way like nothing was wrong. Save your money and your nails - just paint them yourself with a Sharpie. You'll get better results. Tina's Nails is truly a hidden gem. I went in this morning (10/4 at 10:30am) and Anna instantly made me feel comfortable in the space. It's gorgeous and clean, with comfortable seating (both for waiting and while you get your services). The ambient noise is the perfect volume, so it doesn't overwhelm the experience. It also smells clean, but not in a chemical smell way. I went in for an acrylic fill and a pedicure. The pedicure was luxurious and intricate. My feet feel incredibly soft and are perfectly polished. The fill was truly stand-out spectacular. First of all, Tina's Nails has TONS of color options to choose from in tons of finishes. But the best part was absolutely Anna's attention to detail. She was meticulous about ensuring that my nails were shaped perfectly, and she made sure to get the acrylic very thin on my nail. They look absolutely incredible and I'm genuinely impressed with how perfect Anna was able to get them. I also would like to point out how kind Anna was. Welp... 2 manicures (me: dip + guest: gel) lasted 4 days before chipping/peeling! We made an appointment a day in advance, showed up on time for our appointments to an empty salon (@ opening on 8/4/23,) and were still rushed the whole time and barely acknowledged? -My dip manicure had to be redone (I've never asked for my nails to be redone at a salon before - but this was a MUST ) I still wasn't happy w/ the results, but felt too awkward to ask for her to fix them. -I left with little cuts and burns on multiple fingers from the electric nail tool, and my friend had a bloody cuticle as well. One burn is totally understandable, multiple burns and tiny cuts is kind of ridiculous & pretty painful! :( -Icing on the cake: I keep my nails long and natural (no tips) - she cut the first one without asking how short/long I wanted them - had to cut them all short to match. Just a bad experience all around - there are several nail salons with great customer service & good prices in the SEA area that deserve your business! I really hate writing bad reviews but I'm pretty frustrated about Tina's. I live across the street from and have been here 10-15 times since July (every 3 weeks). The service is inconsistent and recently poor. There are 1-2 girls that do a good job but the last 3 of 4 experiences have just been bad. I've asked for round nails and gotten square, asked for rounder and still not gotten round (see picture of pink nails). When asked to change shape or if I don't immediately know the color, I've encountered an attitude. The nails are often not symmetrical & chip after about 7-10 days. I've also had my cuticles cut a few times in the past. Today- they didn't have either of the two colors I selected and I didn't find out about the second one until I already had a base coat of shellac on. This left me scrambling to pick a new color, as it seemed the nail tech was already annoyed with me and I ultimately chose a color I don't like. There is one women who does a good job and didn't charge extra for a half glitter job (also attached after about a week) and seemed to appreciate that I was there often. The next time I went I asked for the same glitter nails I just had and she told me she'd change extra for each nail, even after I mentioned that I wasn't previously charged by the woman I'd seen before. The women asked me a lot of questions trying to figure out who hadn't charged me extra and it made me feel uncomfortable. I probably would've continued to roll the dice because of the location convenience but today after an already frustrating experience I was charged $35.50 for a shellac manicure when I've been charged $31 every other time. I gave two stars because they are clean and some staff are nice & do a good job but I will not be returning. read more

I walked in to have my acrylics removed only to have them ripped off my nails with the help of another nail tip from her nail box. She broke 3 of my natural nails and caused 2 of those 3 to bleed. I was in so much pain. She then reached to do my left hand after finishing my right and thats when I pulled back and said no. I did not want my nails ripped off. She THEN began the soaking method and when asked why she didn't remove them that way from the beginning, she did not give me an answer and then proceeded with charging me $50 once finished. I left with 2 bloody nails masked by polish. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS SPOT. If your traveling, just wait until you get back home to your original NAIL PERSON. It's not worth it! Called to make an appointment and they didn't take my name, which made me feel like no "appointment" was actually made. Arrived and had to wait, but just a bit & I'd arrived early, so that was totally fair! I also wanted an eyebrow wax, so that was done first. I'm very happy with how they turned out, and it was less pain than usual, so that was great (but a ton of post-wax "wax-nee," which always happens to me). 3 different women worked on my nails. I recently moved to the Belltown area and was seeking a nail salon close to home. This one is literally a five minute walk away from my house. I was very hesitant due to some of the iffy reviews posted here on Yelp. However, I can say that you need to ignore the negative reviews as this place was WONDERFUL. Take this review from a lady who is VERY picky about her nails. They had a pedicure chair open as soon as I walked in and they were able to start on my nails then. The manicurist that did my pedicure was super friendly and so was all of the staff. She did a really great french shellac pedicure for me. I was very satisfied and I will be going back. Some are really rough though. My recent visit few days ago, the lady cut and poke my nails too hard that it bled! And I naturally exclaimed in pain. All she said was "WHAT!!!!"
