Manager came out and as everyone else in my party was done eating said he would make it to go. To go food is never as good as what is served in the restaurant. This was no exception. Service is VERY slow and poor. I've been to this location several times, it doesn't matter rather it's busy or not, service is always very slow. Very hard to get the attention of the server. If you come here, don't be in a hurry. Plan on at least 45 minutes to an hour from the time you walk in until you get food. It is not unusual to wait 20 minutes for someone to come take your order. Food is good, but I think overpriced for what you get. I do not recommend this Another Broken Egg. I'm done, and won't be coming back. Tried this out on a Sunday for the first time. It was good we used the waitlist feature in Yelp because it was an hour wait for 2 when we arrived. The food was pretty good. I had the banana foster waffles and grits. Also a half order of beignets for appetizer. I usually don't dare try beignets because no one outside of New Orleans seems to do them well. These ones didn't look like much but tasted pretty good. The grits were very bland. I had to add a lot of salt and pepper. The waffle was great though. My boyfriend got the seafood omelet which had a surprising amount of crawfish and shrimp in it. More than we were expecting. All and all it was a decent meal. She said that we would receive a text message whenever our table was ready. 2 hours had passed by so my husband went to go check. The lady at the front stated that she "sent a text 30 minutes ago". My husband never received any text notifications. The woman kept trying to argue with my husband and was extremely rude. After telling her that we never received a text, she said "well, 30 minutes had now passed, we can't seat you anymore." Pissed off. I don't know the lady name but she was disrespectful after she slammed or drinks on the table very rudely. After we told to the General Manager what our concerns were, she didn't even try to resolve the issue she was very rude. had a terrible experience Saturday! I had a birthday reservation schedule for 12:00pm and they gave me the run around all day. They didn't sit us down until about 12:45pm and after we sat down their were still other parties inside the party room that I had booked for the day, of course I wouldn't tell the other guests to leave because it wasn't their fault. I've had mixed experiences at this Another Broken Egg Cafe. On a visit a few months ago my eggs Benedict was cold. When someone finally came along to ask how our meal was I did mention how while it was good just an FYI it was cold. They were so nice about the whole thing and comped the eggs Benedict. Something I did not expect them to do! On my most recent visit my in-laws were sharing a the crab cake and fried green tomato dish, they brought out the crab cake Benedict instead. When they mentioned the error they said no problem we can make the right dish, it's a quick swap. Twenty minutes later when I was finishing up my meal, our waitress stoped by to ask how everything was going, we told her most of our table still had not received their food. Fast forward another 10-15 minutes and their meal finally came. To me this was the dish that hands down should have been comped. When your table mate has already finished their meal before you even get yours, there is an issue there! There really wasn't much of an apology either. I like that they have thick cut crispy bacon and the side of fruit is usually a nice mix, not just your run of the mill options. The first thing that comes to mind when I think of Another Broken Egg Cafe? YUMMY! Another Broken Egg held preview events before the official opening in which people could come in and try the food, and didn't have to pay, but were asked to donate money to an on-site charity. So they clearly care about the community as well. I was lucky enough to attend one of these events, and after perusing ABE's extensive menu, decided on the gluten-free pancake with berries. The pancake was bigger than my head (and almost bigger than the huge plate!) and was so delicious. You'd never be able to tell it's gluten free. I spoke with some of the staff who told me they tested several different gluten free mixes, and ended up purchasing this one from a small mother/daughter enterprise. It was nice to see a chain restaurant doing some research to find the best product and supporting a small business. And speaking of chains, a lot is made of this sometimes, but I never felt like I was in a chain. Yes the restaurant is new, but the decor is very homey. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I brought a friend back the very next week after ABE officially opened and she loved it. Just be warned, it's in the same building as a hotel, and gets extremely busy on weekend mornings. So plan on an hour to hour and a half wait during peak times. They also have outdoor seating, which might help to lessen the wait time when the weather gets nicer. I hate to be the first person to give the "average" star rating for this location.. But that was my experience this morning.. Average. There were 3 of us that went to brunch: me, my mother, and my friend. I got the "hale Lucy" omelette which was really average.. I might even say that I didn't really enjoy it all that much. I kept wishing I had ordered the Benedict Oscar. My mom got huevos rancheros, she complained that the tortilla it came with was too greasy and too hard to even cut into. She didn't eat the shell. My friend got eggs Benedict which I tried and thought it was okay. She also said she found it average. The potatoes that come as a side were pretty dry as well. I really want to give this place another try since I had heard such good things about it. I think I will give it one more go and update my review if they blow me away. Maybe they were just having an off day. But none of us were super impressed, but I don't want to say it was a bad experience either. Overall enjoyable experience for lunch at another broken egg cafe. I finally was able to try this place located in north hills. I have tried a taste of their French toast at a Yelp event before and was very impressed. Lunch wasn't too crowded at noon on a Friday, yet it took a while for our food to come out even though it was breakfast food. I ordered an omelette - the Chez B's and it was very good. The portobello mushrooms and caramelized onions went really well together and the feta cheese was a perfect touch. The potatoes on the side were crispy. Overall everyone at the table enjoyed their meals. The cinnamon French toast was really good - had berries on top and tasted like a dessert. Only complaint was food took a while to come out and two of my coworkers food was cold when it arrived. However, our waitress was super friendly and went above and beyond for us. She brought us the biscuit beignets for our first visit and they were even better than funnel cake. The honey dipping sauce was so good. When our waitress heard the food was cold, she took those two orders off the bill and even wrote down their names so the manager could give each of them something at their next visit to make up for it. I took my toddler with me since he has been asking for pancakes and we had the worse service. I have never in my life written a review but this will be the first. Hopefully this review will help protect the safety of customers & for the restaurant to get better training for their staffs. Before I start I just want to make note that it was not busy. We were greeted with a not friendly face with, "What do you want to drink"? The server never once checked on us to update us on anything. The food came a little late. I wasn't happy but my toddler and I both still said, "thank you" when the food finally came. The server quickly left. I looked at my plate and all the raspberries that came with my food were mushed on top of one of my meals and I found some rotten. Some of the fruits in the fruit bowl were also not a great sight and didn't look safe to eat. I was surprised the server didn't care how my plate looked. Not once did the server cared to come back to check on us. I ate just certain things I felt safe to eat, and left a whole bunch uneaten. I was disgusted and unhappy with the service. She put the check & to go box on my table without me asking for a box and then quickly walked away before I could say anything. I wasn't going to take anything to go and I was actually ready to give her my card. By then all I just wanted to do was to quickly get out of there. She gave me my card and check back. The heart I have, I still gave her 20%. I never heard a thank you or have a good day. I felt my kindness was taken for granted. Whatever she went through that day, she shouldn't take it on someone else. People like her needs better training and to learn to appreciate life. I really hope the restaurant really take this into consideration. Inspect your food carefully because it can jeopardize the health of customers. read more

This place was different than what I expected based on the name. I was all set for a greasy-spoon kind of cafe, but it's actually a lot like a Country Kitchen (if you're from the Midwest). Tables and booths and country décor galore! I had the Veggie Delight omelet which included fresh spinach, sautéed mushrooms & tomato with goat cheese. The omelet was good and it was a good size. The potatoes were nicely done as well. Not mushy. This is a fine place for breakfast. I will caution though, if you are going mid-day for brunch, they close at 2pm. First time trying this place out. It was awesome! I loved the food. I got the cinnamon roll French toast combo. The sausage was amazing and the French toast was as well. Had great service. I didn't have to wait long I used the no wait list through yelp and didn't wait no longer than 5 minutes when I got there. Came here to have breakfast with my sister while I was in town. I ordered two eggs over hard, sausage and a waffle. I also ordered coffee, which come in these awesome coffee cups. However, my only complaint is that they didn't have any creamers? The waitress informed me that they used flavored syrups. Who does that? (-1 star) I think creamers are necessary if you are serving coffee and you are a breakfast restaurant?! However, the waitress was nice enough to let me order something else, so I had a cuppuchino, which was just fine. My sister ordered the shrimp and grits and with some OJ and she was pleased... she had no complaints! Service was great and our food was deliverely promptly. We also subbed grits for home fries which were awesome (buttery and clogged up a few arteries) but delicious. Cons: the hey Lucy was not so tasty. Barely any chorizo nor avocado in the dish. Server was polite & attentive. Ambience is very warm and inviting which was nice gave a very cozy feel which was good thing but basically that's where the good starts and ends. Restaurant can have the best ambience but it knuckles down to the food. I had a smoked salmon scrambler which was just ok. It wasn't exciting in terms of flavor & the quality of egg was not great & that's highly noticeable by the coloring. It came with some pototes that simply were Salty to death & a bagel with cream cheese. There is something in that bagel that I could tell that it was frozen. Do not recommend that dish. However my Fiancé had a different order and her eggs were delicious in comparison you would almost swear side by side we ate at 2 different restaurants. However the bacon was terrible & I'm the cold brew that they serve cannot be brewed in house because it taste similar to the premade iced coffee from McDonald's thats also not great. The marmalade was fresh when you spread it over the soft center it was delicious. A nice combination of flavors.
