The space is spacious and inviting, with plenty of freshly baked bread, pastries, and other tempting goodies on display. We ordered two items: Poulet au Fromage ($16.90) -- Focaccia loaded with herb-roasted chicken, cheddar cheese, Applewood bacon, tomato, and herb mayo. This sandwich was plentiful, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Every bite was packed with delicious ingredients! Chocolate Almond Croissant ($6.31) -- Belgian chocolate and almond fondant wrapped inside a wonderfully flaky croissant and topped with roasted almonds. This was an absolute treat. The Chocolate Almond Croissant is simply to die for! While enjoying our food, I couldn't help eyeing the scones, along with their beer and wine selection. Clearly, I'll need several return visits to work my way through everything that caught my attention.

I am from Beverly Hills and I have never seen a restaurant be more out of touch in pricing. They are contributing to a class divide that is common in third world countries. If they are going to charge prices more than luxury restaurants in luxury areas they should probably clean up a lot more. Tables are filthy, they serve you with PLASTIC FORKS and the lines are atrocious bc they are understaffed. This place is a joke.

Helpful service in a nicely decorated small cafe, a nice stop for getting a morning going. The Deets: Deciding to venture out a bit to try some place new, I found Morning Ritual on the trusty Yelp app and headed off to there. It is joined along side The Goat restaurant on the edge of an apartment complex campus near Brier Creek. I like the look of the building and while noticing there is outside seating available, there is a convenient take out window on the side as well. I went inside and liked the warm, inviting but still slightly modern look of the cafe style seating and ordering area. There are a couple of seats within range of a power outlet and there is WiFi but note it is public/no password/unsecured access, it appears. Their menu shows a good array of beverages and eats to satisfy those morning needs. I decided on a 16 oz hot skim latte to drink to enjoy there and then ordered the Egg + Cheese Scramble which has Monterey Jack and Cheddar and served with one of their biscuits. You order and pay at the register/counter then they give you a table number to take to your seat. My beverage came in well enough time to enjoy while I waited on my food order. My latte was so good that I had no need for additions such as sweetener or syrups and I like the mug with it to enjoy in house. Food came in good time as well, looking pretty tempting. The toasted biscuit was good and I liked it but a tad small bit sweet for a Southern type biscuit (the type that I'm used to/grown up with enjoying). The scramble was really great...I usually do not favor getting cheese in my scrambled eggs but everything was delicious here and perfect texture as well as portion on the eggs themselves in a small cafe setting. There's always that challenge in a new coffee shop/cafe in figuring out their used dishes protocol/station but loved that my server saw me searching and happily took my dishes at the counter for me. I enjoyed this first visit to Morning Ritual and can see me visiting in the future, I like it.

The coffee was actually delicious. The service not so much!…read more To be fair I ordered my coffee with my breakfast at The Goat (the restaurant that Morning Ritual shares the building with) but the coffee is listed on The Goat's menu, so they need to get in sync. Our breakfast ended up coming out before coffee, which made no sense. I had to ask about the coffees before they were actually made. When the girl came from morning ritual She brought out my husbands, hot cappuccino but my mocha out iced and I immediately said I don't drink cold coffee and I did an order iced. Instead of being apologetic, and stating that she would change it, she just snatched the iced coffee and walked away. That was such a strange encounter. It was rude and I got no apology, nor did I get any explanation of what would happen next. I let my server know to ensure I was still going to get a coffee because I can't live without my coffee in the morning! When my Moca loved her honey, oat milk, coffee came I took a sip and was glad i didn't flip out and say "forget the coffee" (as I was already done with breakfast by the time in arrived) because the drink was delicious! If I'm ever back in the area (I was staying in Raleigh but decided to take a little detour into Durham that morning) I'll come to only Morning Ritual to see if I can change this 3 star review for service issues into a 5. For now they need to work on getting coffee service to The Goat streamlined!

The Chicken & Waffles was my favorite! The chicken was nice and crispy and the waffle was a sweet corn waffle. It came with these little morsels of grilled peaches and I wish there had been more of them because I could've eaten a whole bowl of them. The Peck and Plume Bowl was my least favorite dish but that's only because it was VERY tart and I wasn't expecting that. It has passion fruit, banana, blueberries, yogurt, granola, coconut flakes, and bee pollen. We also got the Eggs Benedict which came with country ham and wilted spinach on top. The ham was a bit salty but the breakfast potatoes on the side were great and the eggs were cooked perfectly jammy.

They were doing everything right, even down to the Dr Brown's, and they had ZERO flavors too. There is a meat and cheese counter,r but most of the length of the shop is pastries, cakes, pies, es and other beautiful-looking treats. We ordered our sandwiches; I had an Italian sub, and it was just ok, kind of dry and lacking in flavor; frankly, Jersey Mike's makes a better Italian. But my wife got theReubenn, and it was simply the best Reuben we've had outside of Katz in NYC. I order Rueben's all the time, and I'm consistently disappointed. Most are dried out, have too little meat, and the corned beef is often dry, but not in this case. The sandwich was truly worthy, and we are ready to go back and have it again. Moist, flavorful meat, a generous portion, and the dressing andkraut weres well balanced. The bread was grilled, not toasted, and was itself rich and flavorful. Altogether, it is a Reuben worth driving a distance to have it. We are already planning to come back and try some of the baked goods, but also get the Reuben again too.

This place was really good. It was priced a bit on the high side for a sub...kinda like they kept…read morethe New York or Chicago prices once they setup shop in NC....but not absurdly expensive. It is mostly self service. You order at the counter standing up, they give you a number that you place on your table and they bring your food out. You are responsible for your own drinks and bussing your table. The drink fountains are all inside as far away from the patio as they could possibly be which is an unfortunate design choice. I got the New Yorker full size. It was good. I ate the entire thing and was pretty full, I probably could have had half. For a side I got the macaroni salad and it was nothing special, I'd try something else next time. My girlfriend got the meatball parm on gluten-free bread and enjoyed it. The dessert case was way too tempting. However, the subs filled us up so we got them to go. This is where it adds up. Most slices are $12-15 but they are pretty big. I got the lemon blueberry which was $15 and the girlfriend got a piece of gluten free cake that was also $15...so it was over $30 just for dessert. The decorations in restaurant and bathroom make references to New York and Chicago. There are some religious references via Bible scriptures. I don't find it pushy or overwhelming. I think the vibe is supposed to be a NYC deli but it's way too big and clean versus anything I've ever visited in the city which is good. They had a display case full of ham and roast beef and other meats and I'm assuming this is where they store them until they slice them up. We got lucky when we were here and there was a concert in the shopping center so we got to hear music while we had dinner. We will definitely be back!
