Horrible and ridiculous customer service. First off, my order was supposed to be ready at 9:44 am. It wasn't ready for an hour after that. I didn't leave until almost 11 am. When my order finally came out, I realized that my pancakes were missing and had to wait an additional 20 minutes for those. When I got home and checked my order thoroughly, I saw my lobster and brie omelette didn't even have anything on the inside of the omelette. No lobster anywhere on the omelette, the only thing it had was a smear of Brie in the middle. Food is horrible, and the management was no help in resolving. My boyfriend, son, and I went there today for the first time. We did go on Yelp and get on the wait list. We were sat within the time window given, hostess (Rebecca) was very friendly. We had a great server, sorry can't remember his name. The food was excellent, service was outstanding. Waited for nothing, drinks were refilled, food, again, was incredible. Had the Floridian Omelette. Since we are low carb, they happily substitued the fruit for the potatoes or grits. Best fruit bowl in Memphis! One thing, given the times I did not think it was worth downgrading to 4 stars. We had the cheapest plastic tableware. Only suggestion, if they are not going to use real tableware, at least use better substitutes. Will definitely go back. read more

We were greeted warmly when we called to inquire how long the wait would be for Sunday Brunch, it was a 45 minute wait, and we were seated right away. We had a party of 8, and the waitress Shaun - was exceptional. That restaurant was extremely busy, and she took care of our orders, ensured my coffee was always topped off and delivered drinks quickly. Cannot say enough about the great customer service. Food was fantastic and we sampled several different items on the menu. She took care of my 2 year old grand daughter as well, brought her juice and crayons --- just an overall pleasant experience. Great experience! Emilie was our server she was so nice and attentive. We got here around 830 and we were seated right away in a comfy booth. I ordered a virgin Bloody Mary (was with my mom) but it was delish and I got extra olives! To eat I had the smoked salmon Benedict it was the best salmon bagel I've had and I've had a lot! We sat outside on the patio so my food traveled from the inside to the outside with a string of someone's hair in my potatoes. The waitress immediately saw this as well when she placed my food on the table, apologized and corrected the problem. I thought more precautions are being taken during COVID-19. I'd never been to an Another Broken Egg Cafe, although I've probably lived in several cities where they are located. I think of it like an IHOP or a Waffle House - very traditional, standard spot for breakfast. Although this kind of generic chain breakfast isn't usually my thing, I didn't mind my meal here (stayed traditional with eggs, chicken sausage, English muffin, fruit, and coffee). It definitely has your standard breakfast/brunch offerings. My only complaints? They apparently bring beignets to each table as something on the house? We really didn't want them, because the meals we ordered were plenty big (they list the calories of each dish on the menu), but our waitress kind of pushed back a bit: "Really? Are you sure?" We were sure. (Otherwise, the service was really great.) And there wasn't a wait when we got there (around 9:00 am on a Sunday morning), but there were A LOT of people waiting for tables when we left an hour later. To each their own, but this really isn't a meal I'd wait on. Still, decent breakfast menu with good service. Not the worst chain restaurant meal I've had! This place is currently my favorite place for brunch anywhere in the Southeast corner of the United States such as TN, GA, and my birth place (which is the best one for obvious reasons). Every restaurant I've visited had warm waitresses And waiters who were relatable, attentiveness without aggression, clean and well presented for customers. The manager was so nice and the staff as well... everyone's just so friendly I got the Louisiana Crawfish Skillet with a side waffle and it was amazing. I'm a happy camper despite the wait but there are stores in the little plaza so you can easily browse to waste time. We waited about 30-45 minutes for a table, which we were fine with but there were certainly other options in the area for an early lunch if we wanted. The waiter was super friendly and even brought our toddler out a complimentary squeeze yogurt to snack on while we were waiting for our food. There were plenty of options on the menu, but not in an overwhelming sort of way. Plenty for lunch, breakfast or brunch. I ordered the chicken biscuit and gravy with the diced hashbrowns, which was all delicious. I did add a pancake to my order as well that was the Lemon Blueberry Goat cheese that was ok, but probably would not get again. My wife got just a cheeseburger which was WAY overdone. Finally got a chance to check this restaurant out. I knew the wait was going to be long but I didn't anticipate waiting 25 minutes after already putting my name on the waitlist before arriving at the restaurant. When we put our names in there were 20 parties ahead of us at the time. We were seated outside and while it was a very hot day the ceiling fans made it very comfortable outside. Our waitress was awesome! I ordered cold brew coffee with skim milk and the shrimp and grits (a recommendation from our waitress). The coffee was incredibly weak and mostly milk. The shrimp and grits were AMAZING!! I got the Gouda grits which had an upcharge but it was totally worth it. Even with the long wait I will definitely go back and check out more of the menu or just to get more of the delicious shrimp and grits. read more

Also, I noticed while waiting to be seated, the person folding silverware for the guests, did so on the front counter where people are entering and exiting. Food is amazing. Everything I've ever eaten at ABEC has been good enough for me to make audible sounds at first bite. Luckily it's so loud in there nobody can hear me. However, my experience with service was so awful, I probably won't be back to this location. If my coffee is cold and mostly empty and I have to flag down a different server for a refill at a breakfast diner, that's bad news. If I ask for napkins because I'm eating messy beignets (from a different server) and I get brought literally one small paper napkin, c'mon. And if my server doesn't come back to the table to see if the food tastes alright or we need anything until we're completely finished with 3 dishes, then I done ate my home fries without hot sauce and I'm sad about that.
