Service was great & quick! Our drinks and apps were excellent!!! Best mule I've had in a minute & the duck wontons were our favorite! the chicken Parmesan was a little watery but the chicken was so good.
Went on a Saturday close to 7pm, no wait to be seated for a party of 3. The atmosphere was pretty casual and the noise level was average. Turnip Green Bites were salty - wouldn't get again. Georgia Blue Nachos were meh. Shrimp and grits were ordered and they were drowning in sauce, but hubby liked it outside of that. The Blue's Burger was big, nut was ordered plain, so not much to say outdide of it being big and the meat was seasoned ok.
Stopped by for a bite... was seated in the bar area downstairs which is a bit tucked away. It was sooo cold inside that it was a bit uncomfortable. The upstairs is really cute! The music was not a vibe in my opinion. I would have enjoyed a mix of music. Our waitress was nice though it felt like it took forever to get our meal! The food was pretty good. I had the seafood linguine-- minus 1 star for how soupy it was. The spicy chicken sandwich and fries (not pictured) were quite tasty. I wouldn't mind trying the seasoned fries again and I would be interested in the dynamite shrimp appetizer. There are some other things on the menu that caught my eye too, so I suppose I'll be back.
Visited this place on a Saturday afternoon. We chose to sit in the bar area to skip the wait. I liked that it was a separated and calm atmosphere. Our bartender/waitress was very nice and pleasant. Sorry, I didn't get her name. I ordered a peach lemon drop and she did not disappoint. It was delicious! We had appetizers only. The buffalo wings, turnip green bites and loaded fries were very good and came out hot! Definitely would visit again.
We ordered takeout and everything was great! When we arrived, the parking lot was completely full - however, they have a separate takeout entrance with its own kitchen, so we were able to get our food quickly. The server was very friendly, our order was correct. Spouse had a burger and onion straws. I had the special fried chicken, rice, nacho, queso dish. A bit of an odd combo, but it was fun to try. We also had the bread pudding, which was yummy! Our food was good! I wouldn't call it the best, most flavorful food I've ever eaten, but it was solid and we enjoyed it! I feel like it is exactly what one should expect from a typical casual chain restaurant (it's a small chain, but it has that vibe).
Great food. I'm not a grits fan but these grits with the sauce on top was fantastic. I'll be back to try other foods.
Decided to travel to Southaven for lunch and chose Georgia Blues. I've been here several times before and love it. The service is always top notch, the servers are dressed professionally and act the part and the atmosphere is great. Thanks to my server Damani. I knew I wanted their lunch special of the day which is from 11-4 and includes a drink for $13. Dessert can be added for an extra $2 and extra sides are available for a price. The meat option today was fried chicken, Pot roast or Duck Gumbo. I ordered the Pot Roast with mac & cheese and broccoli with a roll and sweet tea to drink. The Pot roast was cooked to perfection. Nice cuts of meat hot, tender and flavorful with the right amount of seasoning and sauce. Broccoli was steamed with the right balance of crunchiness and a hint of butter flavor without all the added saltiness or over seasoning that other restaurants use. The Mac & cheese had the right blend of noodles to cheese ratio- yes this is important which provided a creamy cheesy butter flavor without the sticky or stiffness or bland cheese taste. It was more of a smooth creamy taste of several blended cheeses. I loved this meal. It was the perfect meal I needed. Comfort food but not too heavy. I love food that I can taste the flavors of the food and season that enhances or blends the flavors and not cover them up. Food that is cooked as it should be keeping as much of the nutrients and the texture as possible yet making it so darn good...... To top it off I got the peach cobbler for dessert but -to take home and have with a nice hot cup of coffee -after my nap of course. Oh and military discount with ID.

Upon entering we were greeted and walked to our table. For me this kind of sets the tone for the remainder of your experience at ANY ESTABLISHMENT! Our waitress was very attentive! Service was great. Fries had crunch to them even with the toppings. You get a healthy serving as well I went light bc I had a healthy breakfast lol and we just needed an outing! This is in The Silo area! Very nice area! We rode the whole area to check out the scenery.
The staff and crew are very friendly as soon as you walk in. The servers are very friendly and accommodating. They make sure you are seated quickly.The atmosphere is that of a sports bar. No carpet or comfortable chairs at all. If you drink, the bar tender mixes great drinks. I always get Bloody Marys (Great Flavor). The menu has a variety of choices. I try something different every trip. This time I had the sausage and chicken gumbo over potato salad. The rue was runny and the gumbo lacked meat. It was a little strips of shreaded chicken and chopped up chicken sausage. (Would not recommend this at all) Downstairs is more family oriented sports scenes with TV's all over. Upstairs is more adult oriented with a DJ in the evening. They do add a 3 percent top to your tab or 18 percent for a group but they do let you know when you walk in.
Where to begin, service was fantastic! I sat in the bar area. The turnip bites were huge and fantastic and the dipping sauce was great. The chicken gnocchi with bacon was a large serving and very flavorful. Can't say enough great things about this place!
It's OK! The drinks we're really good! The food was basic. I had the dynamite shrimp & turnip greens bites. The drinks I had were the Hawaiian Kick & Strawberry Lemon Drop. I went during happy hour on a Wednesday. The crowd was very loud. Like abnormally loud. It was hard for my friend & I to hear a conversation let alone even think. Lol. Our server wasn't anything spectacular but she was nice enough. 18% gratuity was included & we were forced to start a tab for our order.
So just finished up a sad performance at a baseball tournament and decided to pop across the street for lunch. We were seated quickly. No menus or silverware provided upon being seated. Waitress comes by and gets our drink order. Shocked we did not have menus. Brings drinks and menus to us. We order the dynamite shrimp appetizer the shrimp and chicken ziti w/ ceasar side salad, and a blue burger. Salad arrives and we are still without silverware. We ask a random waitress for some and she promptly brought us some. Food tasted good. Dynamite shrimp was large shrimp perfectly fried and good flavor. Ziti pasta was flavorful and large portion. Biggest issue was the sauce was real watery. Blue burger was a chunk of meat! Bun had a great flavor and softness to it. Biggest hit was the dang fries! They were a unique size and were so good! Biggest issues: 1. We were given glasses that were dirty. 2. Our waitress was very inattentive to certain things like silverware, dirty glasses. She spoke so softly it was hard to hear her. 3. Food arrived before appetizer did.
So I started off looking for a nice little happy hour. This was the only place I found anywhere close to me that mentioned one. It's 3-6 pm, half off Speciality drinks and $10 appetizers. Plus $5 wells. I ordered a Margarita and two apps to be quick. The apps don't look huge, but then you start eating, and they last, and last, and last! If you are uncertain and are gonna pick an appetizer based on a recommendation , if they tell you they took it to a competition and it killed, order that one. Turnip Green Bites were outstandingly exceptional! Don't let turnip greens turn you off! Just tell your Mom you ate your vegetables and move on! These will change your life! I followed them up with the Duck Wontons, and while good, it is just hard to follow and act like The King, Turnip Green. Service was quick and super friendly. I didn't get to explore upstairs because it was closed on a Tuesday. But the rest of the restaurant is nicely contemporary and well decorated. The lighting works. Not too bright, not too dark. And you can hear to talk to your group. No screaming over a too-loud soundtrack. Definitely give this place a try, I'm glad I did! The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the plating. I normally love Georgia Blue! I decided to order takeout on Friday and order the dynamite shrimp bowl. I was underwhelmed with the portion size. It was tiny! Normally Georgia Blue provides nice portions. It was a healthy dish. I also ordered the spinach dip on the side with a Kristine bread and it was tasty per usual. I had a really good experience at Georgia Blue! I ordered the strawberry lemon drop martini, and it was so good and had the perfect balance of sweet and tart. I also got the loaded fries, which were really tasty and definitely hit the spot. We happened to come during happy hour, so the appetizers and drinks were half off, which made it even better. The atmosphere was a whole vibe and a nice place to sit, have drinks, eat, and catch up with a friend. Our server was really nice, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. The service was also quick, and we didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks. I would definitely come back to Georgia Blue, especially for happy hour! read more

After taking family pictures they wanted to go here. We had a large group but they made the accommodations. I didn't like the fact that they sat us in a room but then separated us into 3 different tables. They may have did it for the servers but as a family we would've like to all dine together and that didn't happen. The appetizers were pretty good. I started off with the fried pickles with were okay. I prefer the pickle spears. You couldn't taste much of the pickles and they were pretty salty. The ranch was also really runny. The dynamite shrimp were great. We paired it with the ranch from the pickles and my son was able to eat it. It tamed down the kick for him. The GB smothered chicken I ended it sending it back. While it looked great it lack in flavor. The chicken tasted like nothing in addition to the gravy and queso poured over the top. I attempted to had salt n pepper but that didn't help. My sister had ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo which I didn't get a picture of but she stated the same thing that the dish lack in flavor. Even with the chicken being blacked it didn't look as such. One of the kids ordered the kids fingers which were just basic but the other had Mac n cheese. The Mac n cheese looked extremely dry also lacked in flavor. The kids did not eat it. I will not be back here. read more

The fried collard green balls were absolutely amazing out of all the things I have tried at this restaurant those are a must have and will be my go to option every time I come. The smothered chicken was also a great choice and it was a very large portion. Pretty much everything we tried here was great. I would definitely come back again and get more of those collard greens. read more

will come back for a review.... We walked in, step up to the counter and was greeted by sweet ladies with great smiles. The ladies advised us the upstairs opened this week as a bar style, music, open bar but appetizer menu only. I asked to review the menu and determined we would want a table to be able to order entrees. We were seated in a few minutes. The decor was modern/rustic very welcoming. Let me stop playing and tell the people what they want to hear! Spinach Dip with Crawfish = as much I love coming up with new and creative dishes this one is a crowd-pleasing. Creamy, flavorable, seasoned crawfish tails, sautéed spinach, various cheese, cream cheese and it's served with buttery crispy flaky Crostini! This by far is delicious and a game changer to any party! Mahi Mahi over mash potatoes and sauteed spinach with that same Crawfish Yum Yum. They had a Cajun season on top that was very pleasing to the taste buds. Now the Lord said, I would like to bless your soul on today. I see your shoulder is not 100% and you've weathered the storm. I know you're working out at the gym, you're going to therapy but don't worry about trusting the process. Trust me and look at the dessert menu So I asked the nice waiter about dessert. The menu said PECAN COBBLER . I said WTH could that be. Well honeyyyyyyy chileeeeee it was anointed and blessed by my heavenly father! I don't know who the heck in that kitchen thought to make PECAN COBBLER but I promise you there blood line is of the 1st family!! I mean layers of buttery, flaky, cinnamon roll paste or whatever in between each layer, topped with not too sweet but just right filling with some mo layers of fresh pecans! Guess what....they put all that on repeat! I mean more layers of PURE mouth-watering warm deliciousness!! We only came for the happy hour. It's 1/2 price cocktails from 4-6pm I believe (not sure if it's Monday- Friday only or including weekends). The amount of alcohol is perfect !! We had the GB Margarita and the Hawaii Kick. But our server Amelia was great too. She made some great recommendations during our short time there. And she also has a great personality and made us feel very welcomed from the start. We only tried the fried green tomatoes, which are very delicious as well. I'll certainly be back again, maybe next to try some items off the dinner menu. Oh, the restaurant is also very clean and I love the atmosphere but the floors are a little slippery; So please be careful!!! read more

So with all the new restaurants popping up I decided to pop in on Georgia Blue, birthday celebration; 18 in the group. The wait time was ridiculous even with reservation but I understand you can plan but previous groups may have other ideas. I would say 25-30 minutes after reservation time. We were seated and the waitress was great giving the number in the party. Unfortunately, she doesn't give her name which I don't like because you end up saying hey, excuse me. I ordered a burger and house-made chips with a side of fried green tomatoes. The burger was cold and it comes with everything however my burger was missing most of the items but I digress. I asked for the items but they never arrived. My chips just folded the were so stale. I asked for another fresh order and was told it comes out of the same bag so I would assume someone left the bag open. A side of fried green tomatoes were two, small, greasy and cold tomatoes for $6! The coating did not adhere well but again, I digress. I ordered a Blue Hawaiian Kick drink and it was a beautiful sunset orange which matched my dress so I took that as a sign and it was good. Because my chips were stale I asked for another drink especially since it was happy hour so that was granted. However, it was added to the bill but was removed when I brought it to her attention. Another guest had chicken, shrimp with mushroom zita which was very good! The ambiance was nice, restaurant was clean and service was timely considering the group size and time which was almost 3p on a Sunday. First time at Georgia Blue, met a friend for lunch, greeted with a smile upon entry and sat immediately. Our server Christa was the best, she gave menu recommendations and she was spot on and she made us feel at home, kept checking on us to make sure we were good. The turnip green bites for an appetizer and they were really good and the batter was seasoned, the sauce they serve them with is also sweet with a Cajun flair. I had the blue plate special with catfish, turnip greens, mashed sweet potatoes and hush puppies. The fish was awesome and hot and it was fried perfectly, hard, but tender inside and seasoned well! The mashed sweet potatoes were good, the greens were ok, tasted canned or frozen with onions, hush puppies were good, next time I would try something else for sides. My friend had the duck gumbo over rice not pictured, we both had the Hawaiian Kick cocktail, fruity, but didn't taste any vodka, the pecan cobbler was excellent, crusty and not too sweet and enough to share. For $13 the blue plate special is a great deal and you can add dessert for $2. The cocktail was $10 and needed more alcohol lol. The environment was casual and as time went on more people entered the dining room for lunch and the volume was louder. Overall, I enjoyed Georgia Blue and will definitely go back to try more of the menu! The manager walked by to ask about our food and experience which also gave a sweet touch. We went here for dinner and we all ended up feeling like sandwiches. So we got 4 sandwiches. Well, one burger, a gyro, and two traditional sandwiches. They were all very tasty. 10's across the board. Went here on a Friday night and it was pretty crowded so we sat at the bar. The bartender was amazing and super attentive. For starters, we had the dynamite shrimp, they were amazing! The shrimp were so big and delicious. I wish I could bottle the sauce and bring it back to Dallas with me. For my entree, I had the Mahi tacos, it came with chips and queso but I subbed them out for the zucchini/squash and mashed potatoes. The zucchini and squash was amazing and seasoned so well. The potatoes were my least favorite, but they were still good. The vibe at Georgia Blue was definitely family friendly with laid back energy. read more

I have been here twice. My first experience was awesome. The food was amazingly fresh and delicious. My second visit was Mothers Day weekend and it was quite busy. Our party ordered a variety of items and our favorites were the fried crawfish tails and the catfish. There were three us who ordered the seafood linguine and they all were extremely soupy/saucy and did not come with the bread to complement it. We got right in to be seated at Georgia Blue. They have TVs in the restaurant and not just the bar so watching the game there was good. We had a few appetizers. The fried green tomatoes had a crunch batter and remoulade sauce. They were good. The Dynamite shrimp were large and had a great flavor. The creole shrimp dip was bland. It needed a little kick to it. The catfish and grits dinner was excellent. The rodeo burger was a large portion. Get it on the Hawaiian bun. I couldn't even finish it all. The French fires ha seasoned and crunchy. They are very good. The Mahi Mahi was a large portion. It was ok. I would go back again. The children's menu portions are very small.
