This is usually one of my go to places when I am choosing to eat alone. The environment is calm and the service is decent. However, I have been a little disappointed the last FEW times I have been in. The most recent visit specifically. I decided to try something new. I ordered the Ribeye Tacos. The menu listed them coming with Black Beans, papas frites, avocado and a couple other things. When I received the dish, it was slathered with refried beans as in pinto. I asked the waitress and she said "oh yea it does say black beans, there are a lot of mistakes on the menu, so sorry about that." Now she was very polite and I feel like if I had made a big deal about it, she would have taken it back. My issue is WHY is that not updated on the menu!?!?! What if I had an allergy!?!? How are you all just serving random things to people. Luckily, I don't or this could potentially be a major legal issue!! Management, please do better! read more

Came in Saturday around noon after a tennis tournament, hoping to catch brunch -- and we were not disappointed! Started with the ceviche, guac, and street corn as appetizers, and the plating alone was worth it: bright, bold colors that screamed fresh. For entrees we went with the snapper and shrimp tacos plus a shrimp rice bowl -- presentation was a 10/10 and the flavor matched. Our server Jesus was incredibly patient with our two very indecisive 7-year-olds (and yes, he was cute too ). The food was pretty good. My wings were seasoned well but didn't taste like lemon pepper wings that I ordered. My wife fajitas was too salty and gave her a slight headache. But all in all it was fresh and hot, and served quickly. The service was great although the young lady didn't mention her name. She was attentive and even the management or owner came to our table to check on us and to invite us to her other locations. I was trying to get her to look a a location in Cobb or Cherokee County Georgia. The ambiance was spot on for this type of Mexican Food. I would add a little soft music overhead when there is no live entertainment just to set the mood.The rooftop is a bonus plus the outdoor seating on the lower lever was great. I saw a guy smoking a cigar outside on the patio, but his seat was facing the inside bar. There's plenty of parking with handicapped parking available. Nice clean restrooms. First time here and I will certainly be back. This is high-end Mexican eats. Service was great but the food was better. From the chips and salsa, to the appetizers, to the entrees and finishing up with dessert. This place is busy from all aspects of your visit which leads me to the unorganized staff, again all aspects were below expectations, at best. The bartender could not keep up drinks so the waitress tried to talk us out getting cocktails...we waited...and were not correct so we walked out to the bar. In the process of remaking the drinks I ran into the manager, who wanted to know how it was going to which I had to tell how my experience was so far....wasn't good so she bailed out...no apologies or anything. Our waitress was never around to refill water.....water! She got an automatic gratuity so she wasn't attentive to the needs of her customers. We had a party of 4 and they stick us in a booth for really 2 people not 4 so again this place is very out of order and no one but the customers see this. I spent $88 on food that was just as good as any Mexican Restaurant in Southaven. I don't mind paying up for great service and food but you do not get that here! I am posting pics of the food but as you can see the fajitas did not come with pico, tortillas or anything that is customary with fajitas. Did our waitress come check? Saturday afternoon 4 guests and the place was jumping. The food was good but it's not consistent. I've had the seafood fajitas 3 times and its different everytime, good but different. Service is always good and bathrooms are always clean. The price point is a little on the higher end and food doesn't always match. Cocktails vary like bartenders but still good. Our server's name was AK, he was absolutely the best! He had several tables and disappeared but I didn't have any worries or concerns because he always seemed to return before I even knew I needed something. He told jokes, good sense of humor. He joked around but he was also efficient and despite the kitchen being busy and the bar busy, we still got good and drinks in a timely manner with excellent customer service. I rarely leave negative reviews, but after our experience celebrating my daughter's birthday, I feel it's important to share. I called on Friday to make a reservation for Sunday at 5:30 p.m. for 12-15 people and specifically mentioned it was for my daughter's birthday dinner. Although I never received a confirmation text, the employee pulled up my name using my phone number since I've ordered from Tekila before, so I had every reason to believe the reservation was confirmed. When we arrived, the hostess informed us that no reservation had been made. They were able to accommodate us, but we were seated in a very cramped, high-traffic area that was far from ideal for a large party that included both children and elderly family members. Unfortunately, the service only got worse from there. Our dinner lasted over two hours despite the fact that we only ordered two alcoholic drinks (one beer and one margarita), skipped appetizers, and ordered only entrées. While our waitress was friendly, she seemed much more attentive to another large party she was serving. We had to repeatedly ask for drink refills, small plates for the birthday cake, and to-go boxes. Eventually, our family cleared all of the dirty dishes from the table ourselves just to make room for the cake. By this point, several family members had to leave before we were even able to sing "Happy Birthday" because the meal had taken so long. That was incredibly disappointing for what was supposed to be a special celebration. I spoke with the manager and showed screenshots of the phone call proving I had called to make the reservation. I explained my frustrations and made it clear I wasn't looking for free food or discounts--I simply wanted them to understand how poorly the evening had gone. Their response was disappointing. I was met with blank stares, handed a business card to call someone else, and offered no genuine effort to make things right. As I walked back to my table, members of the staff were looking at us and laughing, which made an already frustrating experience feel even more disrespectful. To make matters worse, our bill included a $30 cake-cutting fee that had never been disclosed when I made the reservation. I refused to pay it since it had never been mentioned, and they did remove the charge. I later called the general manager, who was more apologetic, but I believe she may have been the person who failed to record my reservation in the first place. She mentioned that this is a family-owned business, and I truly hope they take customer service more seriously because the staff's professionalism was extremely lacking. The food itself was just average, and certainly not enough to make up for everything else that went wrong. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience. We chose Tekila to celebrate a special family occasion, and instead we left frustrated, disappointed, and wishing we had celebrated somewhere else. I deeply regret spending our time and money here and would not recommend this restaurant for large parties or special occasions. read more

This place is a favorite of mine and many others because they're always busy. Parking needs improvement. The lot isn't big enough for the crowds they draw. I'm sure you can park at the nearby shopping center so be mindful you may have to circle the lot a few times. I love the ambiance and service. I've never had a bad experience in that department. This place is pretty spacious and have a lot of seating, but they are popular, that's why it's important to call ahead. Once we were seated, we were given complimentary chips and salsa! It was very good. I also ordered queso. It was ok. I think if I would've gotten a meat added it would've been better. The drinks were delicious as well. I had the Prickly Pear Margarita. It had Avion, prickly pear vodka & syrup, lime juice and was a great size for only $11! For my entree, I had the steak and chicken quesadilla. It was ok. I wish the tortilla was buttered. It was dry and hard. It kind of messed up the whole experience, but it wasn't bad. I also had a few wings. They were good and seasoned well. Chips and are nicely seasoned with the same seasoning as is on the carne asada. Chips come with 2 salsas, red and green. Both flavorful. Restaurant is very nice on the inside, clean and not loud. My first visit here. No reservation were made we walked in on a Sunday. Very nice, clean and welcoming! The bar area is nice and they had the Sunday NFL games playing. We were quickly seated and served with salsa and chips! I've never been to a Mexican restaurant that serves the green salsa as well they definitely aren't the normal Mexican restaurant!
