I like the location and I like the service, but I can't eat hardly anything there, the reason is because I still use vegetable oil in the french fries and other products, vegetable oil causes heart attacks, it causes inflammation in your system, with holistic healing going rampant in America, most people really are starting to turn their heads away from eating vegetable oil, processed sugars and artificial ingredients not to mention preservatives. Pulled up at Sonic's on Summer Ave. Ordered, paid, and checked in on the app for two drinks. After 10 mins of seeing other people who pulled up after us getting their orders ahead of us, we pushed the button to ask if our mobile app order would be brought out soon. The team member tells us that they don't have the order several times before another team member says it's on the screen and should be brought out soon. Yet, it took an additional 10 mins before they brought our drinks out. Definitely thinking that we should NEVER go to this location again. It wasn't even busy at the time but it took over 20 mins for two drinks. SMH. read more

I waited and I said this bag looks small the girl yelled everything is in there. The brown bag they put my food in broke. I couldn't really check my food because of how they packaged it. About what you would expect for a Sonic Drive-In. It's good fast food, somewhat more expensive than competitors like McD's or Wendy's, but you can't beat Sonic sometimes- especially when it comes to slushes and shakes. The most recent time, however, they forgot to mix my Sonic Blast so all the toppings were just sitting on top... I've been to many different Sonic locations in the Memphis area. Hell, I worked for sonic for 2 years. This has got to be the worst sonic I've ever been to. Last week, 20 minutes before closing, my fiancé and I came up there to get a late dinner and we were turned away. Told us they are no longer taking orders. Complete BS if you ask me. Tonight, after dinner my darling fiancé requested sonic so she can get her fix on a shake. We pull up, parking lot filthy. Trash everywhere. Push the magic order button. 5 minutes go by, no one has answered it. Push it again, finally someone answers. Employee: "Thank you for choosing Sonic." Me: "Yes, I'd like a medium..." Employee: "HOLD ON! HOLD ON! Me: "Uh.....ok? Employee: "Ok, go ahead" Me: "I'd like a medium Oreo cheesecake shake and a medium Oreo & Reese's shake" Employee: " I'm sorry can you repeat that!" Really?!? So I repeat the order and she gives me my total. 10 minutes later....no shakes... 15 minutes later....no shakes 17 minutes....shakes arrive. We get home. We can't even suck the shake through the straw. I got an Oreo blast and my fiancé got a Oreo M&M blast. NOT what she ordered. It has been an on going situation with poor service at this sonic. Started my order but was interrupted by a very loud vehicle, the person taking my order stopped, I waited and had to press the button again. Immature lazy and roguish employees! I preordered thru the app arrived on time checked in and after 10 minutes the menu says my order is coming outside. Another 10 minutes went by and I asked about my order and was told the bell hop was coming out. Another 5 minutes went by and I pressed the button and the guy said they only had one carhop even though I saw multiple carhops. Cool so I started to watch the door and after 10 minutes a carhop comes out with my fries colder than outside and my slush with nerds melted down to a regular drink. I asked for my food to be remade and they come back outside with the exact same burger and slush with a bag of redipped fries. At this location Poor quality of food service. Poor communication. I'm upgrading it to a 2 because, the store manager contacted me and smoothed things out. However I witnessed a car hop snatch a drink out of a customers hand hard enough to spill it, the person who answered when we pushed the button and answered with "you can order", she argued with us when she read the order back incorrectly, of course our food was incorrect and then they argued with us about that even though we had the receipt. It was either cooked in old grease or too many other items had been cooked in that same grease. Tasted nothing like chicken with an after taste. The bun was a hair away from being totally burned.
