After a complete remodel (or whatever you can call what they did to create the shiny new neatly lined shelves place gaslight has become) I kind of miss the old store with its cramped isles, grungy appearance and stray tom cat. However dispute its completely new look... the folks are just as helpful and nice. read more

The employees at Gaslight are always very helpful and well informed. The store is clean, organized and stocked with a good variety of brands and options. If you want an upscale environment with good pricing, check this place out! It's a very safe and comfortable business and far above the many ratchety discount liquor places new and old along Summer Ave. Easy parking too. read more

My family have been customers for over 12 years. Their Customer service and staff are fantastic. However, over the last 3 months, they are not re-stocking products. Are they going out of business? I would like to continue to support them, but their lack of inventory is forcing me to shop other stores. Please respond. read more

Every time I enter I feel like their staff racially profiled me. Today a male employee said "Aren't you self confident?" after I kindly said I did not need any assistance. (This was after 3 other people had already approached me for assistance.) Who says that? And yes, yes I am confident enough to shop without assistance. Enough is enough. Here's the review I haven't written after many bad experiences here as a BIPOC. read more

This place has EXCELLENT customer service and an immense selection of wine, spirits and beer by the can! An under appreciated component is they have an excellent selection of all those products chilled as well as any mixers. This operation is deliberate and considerate. My go-to! read more

I've been going here for years and have never been disappointed. Once they did the renovation I feel like it's even better. Will always recommend read more

I have visited many liquor stores in my life, and this was the best experience I've ever had. The prices were great, but the staff was absolutely spectacular. They were all over-the-top friendly and helpful. This is definitely the store we'll start going to! Check it out! read more

This is a surprisingly nice liquor and wine store with a larger selection. I write 'surprisingly', because it looks smaller from the outside. The interior is immaculate, with everything priced and organized neatly. I was able to find a very good selection of wine and a huge selection of liquors. Kind of nice -- they have a good selection of smaller bottles if you don't want to spend the bucks. Nearly every flavored liquor that you can think of, you'll find, and I was able to find a hard-to-find favorite wine, Five Rivers (try it if you haven't), which I normally can only find in Arlington. read more

Gaslight Wine And Spirits - liquor shop - Beer, Wine & Spirits Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

Been coming here for several years since we moved into the area but tonight they shorted a case of Starborough by two bottles.. times must be tough... but Busters is close by as is Costco... so bye bye Gaslight read more

I don't think it's possible to get much better than Gaslight! Clean interior, massive selection of wine, liquor and beer, exceptional staff friendliness and helpfulness, and lastly very competitive prices with other liquor stores. Grant and the rest of the staff were great with helping my buddy and I find all the bourbon we were looking for. I would've bought the whole bourbon section if I had enough money Will DEFINITELY return for a restock when the time comes. Highly recommend dropping in some time and seeing what they've got to offer. You won't be disappointed! read more

I'm a big fan of Gaslight Wine and Spirits. We have a lot of choices in Memphis, but these guys are one of the better ones. Gaslight is a big, clean store with a very helpful staff. Not only do they have a great liquor selection, but they have local beers in a walk-in cooler. The last time I was there, one of the staff gave me a bourbon recommendation which turned out to be fantastic. Gaslight has become our go-to liquor store. read more

Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. I am new to whiskey and they helped me pick out some good starting choices that I have been very happy with. No pressure sales. Also have some hard to find labels. Definitely recommend!. I will absolutely be back. read more

It's amazing that they have had renovations, and it looks nothing like the pictures that are on google and yelp rn. But great customer service, along with a great variety of liquor, wine, and beer. read more

Stopped in because we notice the "new" place. Didn't know it had been here for 40+ years. They had remodeled. Very nice and helpful Glad we stopped in. Great selection and very nice prices! we will be back! read more

NOT what I expected on Summer Avenue! When I walked in I was in a state of shock. This is a really nice store! And big! I don't mean to be snotty about Summer Avenue (heck, my dry cleaner, favorite restaurant, shoe repair guy, and vet are all on this street) but when you think liquor store on Summer Ave...spacious, clean, friendly staff with a large selection and reasonably priced are not the first thoughts you have! Oh, and the staff really could not be nicer. The guy behind the counter personally walked me over to the vodka section and answered every question I had (I was looking for a new brand). (My biggest pet peeve is when they just point to a section.) Anyways, I really like Buster's, but this is super close to my house, doesn't have the parking nightmare, and I think it might be a little cheaper. read more

This is one of the two or three wine stores I frequent most. It's conveniently located for me, which is a big reason, but additionally, I really like the selection of wines they offer. They stock all of my favorites at competitive prices, plus they're always getting in new stuff to try. The employees are really nice and have a decent knowledge of wine and are great at making suggestions. Oh, and as a nice bonus - Monday is Ladies Day and all women get 10 percent off wine purchases. Nice. read more

Although I really like the store and they have a great selection and terrific prices I am very disappointed that their management is not taking more steps to keep their customers safe during this pandemic. NONE of their employees wear masks and very few of their customers, I mean come on folks almost 90,000 people have died from this and the rates are still going up. This places should get serious about the health of not only their employees but also their customers. I think it is alarming to say the least. read more

This is my regular liquor store. They have recently expanded, and are still in the process of doing so, but it's definitely an improvement. From the spacious parking lot to the airiness of the new interior, this is a welcome growth. The staff and the selection have always been the best, which is what keeps me going there time after time. read more

I am a big fan of this adult beverage establishment for many reasons, most especially because it's in my neighborhood and I like to support places in my neighborhood. But there are other reasons to shop at Gaslight, most notably the (1) good prices on good bottles of wine and (2) excellent customer service. On the wines: you will not believe it until you see it. Sure, this place is a liquor store on Summer Avenue, but for many, Summer Avenue is the true Poplar Avenue of Memphis. Don't sell it short because it's not in a high rent zone. This place carries an excellent variety of quality California wines, especially some serious upper level Napa cabs. It's also got a very nice selection of French wines, and about 6 coolers filled with already chilled whites if you need to grab and go to a dinner party or need a cold drink in minutes. On the service: ask and you shall receive. Ask about good wines and they will give you their personal opinions with explanations. No snobbery and no pushing toward expensive wines. It's also filled with every liquor imaginable and lottery tickets, too, if that's your thing. Four stars. If they can beef up their selection of wines from other regions, they will have star number 5. read more

Wonderful liquor store, very helpful service and great prices! Their wine prices are lower than competitors. I would definitely recommend!

Love love love this joint. Let's be honest I love my Vodka like a Soviet soldier during the cold War and I could go anywhere to get it. But I choose Gaslight every time. Number 1 the people at the front check out are extremely kind and always good for a laugh. Also the selection is almost as good as Busters and you don't have to deal with the 157 employees that are standing around doing nothing. Oh one more thing....Busters smells like Subway. Don't get me wrong i love a 5 dollar footlong as much as the rest of us but not the smell it leaves on your clothes. Again, Gaslight has great service, great prices, and a good selection. read more

Looking at all the reviews i was excited to go to gaslight liquor, Yes. they have a good variety and way more than the average liquor store. This is Tennessee and so the liquor tax being what it is the prices are somewhat higher than other states that I have been but the prices are amazing for this region. The Smirnoff 1.7litre was comparable to any state. The wine was maybe a dollar off from walmart, but overall the good prices were all around. Probably my favorite liquor store. The Yelp Elite got this one right again! read more

Great neighborhood store! Not as big a selection as Buster's but the staff's knowledge makes up for it.

This is my favorite liquor store. The prices are way cheaper than other places and I like the 10% off wine Mondays for the ladies. The staff is always helpful and friendly. The store is bigger than most around this area, plus they always have specials on wines and liquor. Parking is small but there is always parking space, except sometimes a day before a holiday. read more

Awesome selection in this family owned and operated liquor store. Remodeled and expanded a few years back so I have no reason to go to Busters. Good selection of Italian and Chilean reds and all at reasonable prices. read more

Some of the best prices in town! They've got a great selection of wine and a friendly, knowledgeable staff!
