This restaurant gets 5 stars for food, and 10 stars, if I could, for service. Most notable were Tawanna and Chelsea; they were friendly, attentive, caring, and genuine. My husband and I never had to ask for a refill on our beverages, and there was not one error on our orders. We were always greeted promptly and the door was held for us as we were cheerfully told goodbye and asked to return soon. We visited this restaurant every day for 5 days, and the food and service were always consistently excellent. Most notable for me were the fried green tomatoes. They were fried in cornmeal, which made them crispy and non-greasy. The bacon was perfectly cooked, as was everything we ate. Also notable are the coffee mugs, as they are individually handmade, with signature etchings on each one. Our restaurant featured music notes, and I was told that the other Memphis location had guitars. You can purchase one for $18, which I did not hesitate to do! It was our first visit, but not our last! This place is delicious! We used the app to put ourselves in line and when we arrived, we only had to wait about 15 minutes. We tried the biscuit beignets - which come with a really tasty citrus honey. We also got the biscuit and gravy and lobster omelette. Both dishes were fabulously on point! We tried a new breakfast restaurant called Broken Egg Cafe. It's a chain of expensive, fancy breakfast foods. ($50 for breakfast!) Supposed to be a treat for our 51st wedding anniversary this morning. I ordered online for pick up. Ever since we started cruising , where I had it the first time, I've been a big fan of eggs benedict and this restaurant had several choices, crab, lobster, shrimp, regular. So, I ordered regular eggs benedict. For those who've never had it, it's toasted eng muffin halves canadian bacon, poached eggs, hollandaise sauce. I opened the box, untoasted eng muffin so it was soggy, burnt piece of ham, mushrooms, scrambled eggs, some type of gravy over all the mess. This garbage was awful and not anything like it should be. I'm so mad I knew if I called them I'd be screaming at them. Also, we ordered a side of bacon that was barely cooked. I had to throw it away. If you can't make the food properly you shouldn't put out inferior food. read more

THE PLACE IS EXCELLENT - however, a tip would be to expect a 30-45 minute wait if you're wanting to have breakfast about 10AM on a Saturday morning (probably similar to all "prime times"). However, one way to shortcut this wait is to use the NoWait app that will allow you to get a place in line when you are less than 10 miles away(shortened our party of 6 wait to 8 minutes). Service by Matthew couldn't have been better! I think he knew his job AND it also looked like they had enough people working (where so many restaurants fall down). Food is very delicious with a varied menu across the breakfast spectrum --- from plain to fancy. Coffee was good (so many places have awful coffee) and Matthew kept our cups full. The cups look small - but they seem to hold plenty! And they are of good quality so they feel solid in your hand and they keep the coffee hot. Highly recommended! I've only ever had the Floridian omelette, and while the crab might not be as fresh as you'd get on the coast, I thought it was delicious. Their city grits are TO DIE FOR, and I don't even like grits. However, my only complaint is their country potatoes. They're just boring. I feel like you could throw some cheddar and scallions on them and they would be better. Just kinda surprised me they didn't dress them up a little. They are cooked well though. Both times I went was on a Sunday. Each time they were slammed. But you could tell everyone in there was working their tail off, and any staff member I interacted with was very pleasant. read more

When we asked to have it turned down so we could talk even the staff thanked us because a customer had to make that request. They agreed it was too loud. The food was so delicious and the service was awesome. We were seated within 1 minute of entering the building and the server was at our table within another 2 mins. My girlfriends and I go out to brunch every couple of weeks on Sunday. This Sunday we went to Another Broken Egg on Park. It was Halloween, and we thought we might have a long wait. The staff were all very nice, and what was to be a 45 minute wait ended up only being 20 minutes. Our waiter was PHENOMENAL. Unfortunately, I did not get his name, but he was fabulous. Between the three of us we ended up getting a Mardi Gras omlette, biscuits and gravy, a Napoleon Temptation, city grits, and a pumpkin waffle. There was nothing that we got, that was not excellent. I am not a fan of waffles, but for me the pumpkin waffle and pumpkin spice butter could not be resisted. I did not special order my waffle in any way, but it could not have been more tailored to what I wanted, had I asked. It was delicious. Sadly, the pumpkin waffle is only a seasonal option. The Napoleon Temptation is French toast with a pancake, French toast, waffle, and cinnamon roll drizzled in rum butter sauce. We couldn't believe the layers on this thing!! I mention the age because he should know better, leave your problems home. I ordered a bloody mary and omelet breakfast.
