Great food! Great atmosphere! Great waiter John, and manager Rick James! The food was delicious and service was great. Make sure you try one of their signature mimosas. John was very patient with us and answered all of our questions about their menu options. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe - Biscuit and Gravy, scrambled-eggs, sausage patties, side of bacon and potatoes. Delicious. - Cafes Near Me - Memphis, Tennessee

Really busy but really good. Slightly pricy for adult entrees for brunch. Good pricing for kids menu. We got on the waitlist before we arrived (35-45min wait) and only had to wait for 5 tables to be seated ahead of us when we arrived. Friendly staff. Pumpkin waffle w scrambled eggs and turkey sausage links-exquisite! Just a hint of pumpkin and had cinnamon butter on top. Kids pancakes w scramble eggs, sausage and a chobani strawberry gogurt- my 4 yr old ate almost every bite. We will definitely be back! read more

What an amazing place to brunch! I came here with my friends for the first time, and we were super excited to try it. I ordered the Traditional Day Starter, and the eggs were phenomenal!!! I was so amazed by it all. The service was also very fast and amazing. They satisfied all my needs, 10/10!!!! read more

Great food, diverse menu for breakfast / brunch, beverages, incredible service by Maria

I come to Memphis for work every month, and found this spot looking through Yelp Reviews. Compared to most of the restaurants in Memphis, this one spot didn't have any reviews of cockroaches being found in the restaurant. So I decided to give it a try. Small inside space leaves for a noisy meal. They have an out door patio as well but I sat inside. Coffee was a special Ethiopian blend and was delightful. I ordered their famous beignets and yes they were FANTASTIC! I seriously would only come here for those. I ordered an omelette which was overcooked and the eggs were rubbery. I got a side of potatoes and they were bland with no flavor or seasoning. Seemed as if they were taken out of a package not homemade. Service was "okay" nothing to rave about. I will not be returning read more

Unless you have plenty of free time, wouldn't recommend. Even if you place a to go order, you will be standing there for a good 15-30 extra minutes from the time it's supposed to be ready. They also don't let you know when your food is ready. You have to push up against everyone to see if one of the bags is yours. Good food, but a very, veryyyy long wait. So just be prepared if you plan on brunch to wait. Maybe bring a book....The dead flies on the window sill (which was the only sitting option for to go orders) was not very appealing either. read more

This location is not as good as Birmingham's. The best thing on the menu is the Mardi Gras Omelette and this one was WAY over cooked. The egg was actually hard to cut and harder to chew. Also, my friend got a nice hair in her breakfast half way threw it. Not worth the 2 hour wait. read more

Great place to get brunch in East Memphis! I had the eggs Benedict and it was super good. I would definitely recommend; the menu has tons of options so there's something for everyone. The coffee was also quality. Waitress was super attentive and the atmosphere is welcoming. 10/10, definitely come here! read more

I liked this place. A lot. I had the honor of being able to attend the soft opening, and was very impressed. First off, their menu is ridiculous. Ridiculous in a good way. They had so many great options and it took me a solid five minutes to decide on an entree. When it comes to appetizers, I usually only associate them with dinner, but man oh man their Brie was phenomenal. I got pretty full off that! Then my main course arrived. I got the crabcake cavallo. I must say I was a little disappointed, only because I thought an egg can with it. In fact, the menu says two eggs come with it, so maybe I got the wrong thing! It did come with some potato wedges which really did me in :). I definitely can't wait to go back and try more things. Everything around me looked so dang good! The service was great, and the management was so kind and attentive. Our waitress, Gina, was really on top of things and had a great knowledge of the menu already! Last but not least, definitely check out that patio of theirs! It happened to be snowing when we went (dumb), but I can't wait to sit out there on a warm summers day! read more

Our first time. It was busy but no wait. Food was great and generous portions. Excellent service. Very clean and smiling faces everywhere.

Food was absolutely fantastic, but service lacked majorly. We were seated outside when it was 39 degrees, while food took over 35 minutes to arrive from the time we ordered. Our waitress did not help or ask if we were okay, but a very kind bust-boy brought heaters outside for our table, and the sweet family sitting next to us. My only suggestion for management is to make sure your customers are given the utmost customer service, instead of sitting them outside where they cannot feel their toes because it's so cold. read more

Everything was perfect. The service was superb and so was the food . Shout out to my server Aleesja for such professional service.

We eat there when my daughter & Grandaughter are here. Also took my 81 year old neighbor & she loved it

O.M.GASH so delicious. - If I had the option I would fly down every day from philly just to have their beignets. perfect balance of donut vs biscuit texture - city grits were def worth the extra $ - crab cake benedict: love that they did not wimp out on the amount of crab in the crabcake read more

This was my first time visiting this restaurant and to my surprise it was outstanding. Tawanna was my waitress and her customer service skills were awesome. I had the southern crabstack with grits on the side. It's actually enough to share with one other person if you don't have a big appetite. My entree was well seasoned, not the average spices! The plus side of my experience was the general manager kept checking up on me and my mom! This is always a great thing when I go out, it shows that they really value their customers. I will definitely come back here when I'm in town. Base on the reviews I read on Yelp, I did not have to wait to be seated. Maybe because we got there at 8am Saturday morning. Not sure if that was a big difference or not. So you may want to get there early if you have a problem waiting! read more

One of my favorite breakfast places!!! Today we had. Blackstone eggs Benedict, Berry stuffed French toast, bananas foster pancakes, and the best was the shrimp and grits. One warning is the Berry stuffed French toast is pretty sweet, so it might be too sweet if it is your only dish. We all were sharing so it was nice for a couple nibbles. Did I mention how good the shrimp and grits are! Food is fantastic!!!!! Coffee ok. Wait was 45 minutes. Service was great. Wait was worth it. We usually have gone to the one in Tuscaloosa. This one is much smaller, but the food is still top notch. read more

Honest home cooking! Made from scratch biscuits and gravy. Specialty dark roast coffee. Signature biscuit beignets. Casual atmosphere, but sparkling clean with a mixture of sports coats customers and trendy young people as well as neighborhood regulars. They have brunch specialty mimosas and a variety of non alcoholic offerings as well. I ordered the broken egg biscuit sandwich: Crunchy, flavorful chicken, tender biscuit, savory home made country gravy..... All topped with an egg over easy. Mouthwatering! read more

The worst place to get In!!! They tell u go to Yelp n join waitlist, join waitlist they keep send texts ur table ready in 2 hrs, and when u get there u have to wait again, waited for an hour still no table "We have 7 more people infront of you" I said 2 hrs ago it told me there's 5 people infront of me, how is it 7 now? Her response " because people join waitlist " Dumbest idea!!!! Because of that every time we had to leave, I can't wait outside with kids in cold, what's the point of waitlist? read more

I don't know how anyone could rate this place anything less than 5 stars. This place is unbelievable. I was in town 7 days and ate here 5 times. Tried something different every time and loved every bite. I'm not a huge fan of grits, but you have to try the City Grits. My only slight criticism is that the place is a little high priced. $4 for a coffee and most breakfast meals are $13, so you'll be about $20 a person for breakfast. But very high quality meals read more

Had to knock off a star for service but the food was delicious. We went for brunch and it was super busy. The hostess gave my both away and laughed about it in my face. This is of course after I had already spoken to someone telling me to come inside because my booth was ready. I have a toddler. Needless to say I didn't find this amusing. Normally this would get them no more than a 2 Star rating but the food was on point. read more

I love this place. The food is always amazing, and that's why I keep coming back. Always order the sausage for your meat, it's so delicious! However, the service can be hit or miss. The last time I went, my server was just overall inattentive. My French toast sat on the table getting cold because she never brought syrup. I had to flag someone else down, and instead of grabbing it, they went to tell our server and I had to wait for her to bring it 5 minutes later. The time before that, the kitchen had to rush a new order for me because my server brought me the wrong dish. They normally have a wait to be seated, but I think I will start requesting to sit with good servers I've had instead of taking the chance. read more

THE PLACE IS EXCELLENT - however, a tip would be to expect a 30-45 minute wait if you're wanting to have breakfast about 10AM on a Saturday morning (probably similar to all "prime times"). However, one way to shortcut this wait is to use the NoWait app that will allow you to get a place in line when you are less than 10 miles away(shortened our party of 6 wait to 8 minutes). Service by Matthew couldn't have been better! I think he knew his job AND it also looked like they had enough people working (where so many restaurants fall down). Food is very delicious with a varied menu across the breakfast spectrum --- from plain to fancy. Coffee was good (so many places have awful coffee) and Matthew kept our cups full. The cups look small - but they seem to hold plenty! And they are of good quality so they feel solid in your hand and they keep the coffee hot. Highly recommended! The bill for 6 of us was $12.72 per person (before tax). read more

We has an early 8:00 Sunday reservation for a party of 6. Once there we're 3 of us we were allowed to be seated. Our server was nice to explain the restaurant to any first time guest. Most of the group had mimosa's or Bellini. They were a cut with our ladies the strawberry sparkle something. And the peach Bellini. I had shrimp and grits it was suppose to a top dish.the grits were white still bad sign for me. Watery taste the gravy shrimp andouille wasn't enough help to make up for the bland grits. The other ladies had more traditional foods. read more

Got a recommendation from a local. I'm from FL and I've never seen such a racist, non-concerned staff. Asked me about joining a waitlist on Yelp. Almost 2 hour wait time while more and more people were walking in. "You're at the bottom of the list". Unacceptable! read more

Probably the BEST breakfast restaurant in Memphis. Tried them all. The famous one and lots of other local owned places. Broken Egg on Park beats them all. The only thing the menu is missing is insulin. They cinnamon roll French toast and pancakes banana Foster are to die for. The waitstaff are genuinely happy and are really attentive. The weekends can be a crush as it's so popular. Use the Yelp app to get in line without being there. Awesome feature. Hit join the line when wr leave the house and by the time we show up the table is ready. read more

We enjoyed our Sunday Brunch at ABE. It was a great experience. We liked our server. She was witty and accommodated our slightly complicated orders. Our table started out with an order of beignet biscuits. Yum. I ordered an eggs benedict and it was fantastic also. It came with a side of grits, which were a bit bland for my taste. I also ordered a latte which was OK, but nothing to write home about. Overall, we had a great experience and would go back again! Give them a try! read more
