I just think the setup of this place is ridiculous. If you order to go, you have to go to the bar in the back of the restaurant where it's congested there's no sitting area and you have servers flying in and out of the cook area. It makes no sense to me. It would make better sense if the bar area was at the front of the restaurant, because all the available seating is in the front of the restaurant. I tried to order online, but they don't accept pay at pickup (I had cash) I couldn't call it in because their number is disconnected. I don't know. I just feel like they could do a much better job of how the to go order are processed. With that said, the food was good, and the hostesses were polite. read more

I've been to this particular location years ago and it was great, I believe the kitchen staff needs significant help. I got the special crawfish omelette with city grits. The grits were ok, but the omelette was AWFUL. I had to send it back. A few people at my table had to send back their coffees as it was cold (like seriously lukewarm). The beignets were hard as bricks. The eggs Benedict was bland. The server was likely new as we had to remind her about items a lot and we were her only table for much of the experience. She was nice tho, as were the other employees. Also parking is free and plentiful. Overall an extremely underwhelming experience and I feel like our money was wasted. In town for an extended weekend of events, I decided to go out with friends for brunch at Another Broken Egg Cafe. After a brief wait, we were escorted to our table and shortly afterward met our server, Taylor. We started with water and coffee while looking over the menu. For my meal, I ordered the Bacon Lover's BLT&A, no Avocado, served with a pickle and country potatoes. The sandwich was tasty and the potatoes complemented the meal without making it overly filling. Taylor added a fun element to the experience. She was quirky, entertaining, and kept the atmosphere relaxed while still staying attentive to the table. Overall, the brunch experience was smooth with no issues. Good food, good service, and a relaxed atmosphere made it an easy choice for a casual brunch stop while in town. This was our first time ever to Another Broken Egg location. We were seated quickly at 945 am on a Saturday. We were greeted immediately by our server for drink order and to tell us we'd be getting a free order of beignets...the waitress brought our drinks and told us she'd give us a few more minutes. About 10 minutes later I asked if we could order because we were in a hurry. I was very disappointed with the menu. You do not have enough single items or small plates for breakfast! Such as oatmeal or just eggs, sausage or bacon, toast. Everything was huge portions, expensive and just not budget friendly for most families. The food we ordered, Eggs Benedict and the traditional plate were just ok, but 45.00 with two regular drinks! I appreciate that they serve 3-free beignets, but aren't they supposed to be soft and doughy similar to a donut? They were hard and not good. We won't eat here again. It was freezing outside and they did not have a double door with an entry vestibule and everyone someone came in a blast of freezing air led to shivers and--naturally, made my hot eggs cool mighty quick. The service was also sub par. Took a while to take my order and after dropping off my eggs she did not come back. My coffee cup lay bare and was not replenished. Who could blame her? Had not been to this location. The other two were outstanding! Im surprised at some of the reviews. I have yet to have a bad meal or service. I had my normal "Hey Lucy Omelette" but I sub the english muffins for tortillas. Then make some breakfast burritos and add some of that "Pepper Sauce" The pepper sauce is great on many things. I always buy a bottle when we go. This meal was very good as usual and the service was good. If I had one thing to say for improvement. It would be the decor. It could use some updates. This little gem is hidden in a strop mall next to the hotel that I was staying in. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The restaurant is clean with good spacing between the tables. There is not a bad meal on the menu. I had the biscuits and gravy with sausage, eggs, and cheese grits. (gratuitous cheese) with an orange juice. I left feeling very full. No complaints on the food or service. There is a private parking lot that provides parking very close to the restaurant. Cash/Credit and Debit are accepted here. A friend picked this place and I was happy to return! I'm not a big breakfast person but the food here is excellent! The French toasts always tempt me but they're so sweet I don't think I can eat one by myself. Luckily, the omelettes are good. I also love the shrimp and grits (especially when you add gouda) but they really don't like me so I will get them again one day. One day! I'm not a fan of the beignets so hopefully my friends will want a different appetizer in the future. I didn't get to try the hot chocolate because the waitress mentioned their machine is down or gone and they have to make it from scratch??? I'm not sure what was going on but I told her not to worry about making it since it was so busy. Hopefully next time I go it won't be as busy. The chicken and waffle here is pretty good though I hated the syrup that came with it and used the regular syrup my friend was using for her pancakes instead. So glad we stopped by for breakfast here! We only waited about 10 mins for a table on a Friday morning and it was crowded. Very clean and really nice staff. They have outdoor seating too but way too hot. The biscuit here is outstanding! Cold brew was great as well! Had their lemon French toast and it was outstanding!! You didn't even need syrup. One morning, we found ourselves hungry and yearning for spontaneity. Breakfast date! We decided to check out one of the top three suggestions for brunch in the area. Both our phones had the same top three. We decided this one sounded like an experience. The tables were many, but too close for my comfort, he was thinking the same and asked for a booth...we early birds got the booth. Soon, after being seated, many guest began to fill the place to capacity with a waiting list slowly growing. After perusing the three menus: He had the Apple fritter french toast with bacon and scrambled eggs. I had the Belgian waffle with hard scramble and maple, apple chicken sausage. My eggs were more of a soft scramble than hard, and it was pretty good. I had the Colombian coffee and he had the ruby red looking grapefruit juice. The coffee had no kick and was not strong enough to bring me to a normal, full coffee alertness, and I hesitated on adding the Bailey's Irish cream option, as it was not quite brunch time...I should have added it, after having tastes the coffee...possibly, next time. His french toast contained a hot fresh bread, drapes with dark brown colored, cooked apples, also with fresh blueberries here and there. I think he was expecting a fritter, as was I, but it was very tasty. This sweet fluffy toast dish made him skip adding syrup. The powder sugar was sparsely sprinkled over the dish, so more would have been better. With a name Another Broken Egg, our expectations were met with the lightest, savory flavor. I was almost ashamed to sprinkle pepper on them. I have not had an egg like this elsewhere...okay it was on vacation, but never its match on mainland, till now. The side of bacon was a bit overcooked for me, however, the flavor was a good accompaniment to the eggs. Food: great. P had eggs benedict, and she pronounced them very good. M enjoyed his fancier breakfast. I had a grilled chicken salad. Superb. Arguably not a great portion, but tasty, attractively presented. Some more lettuce would do nicely, folks. And please get some balsamic vinaigrette. Service: stunningly good, for a restaurant of this casual sort. Server 'Ashley' was top notch--quick, obliging, friendly, funny, polite. Our (unnamed) hostess was eminently gracious. One of us had a rollator, and staff were most courteous about this extra, space-occupying equipment in their crowded restaurant. I think I'd want to come, next time, at a less crowded moment. I would avoid this location until the service and food improve. Service was slow and inaccurate. I was brought someone else's meal two times before I was brought what I ordered. When I received my meal (eggs Benedict), it was flavorless and lacking in detail. The English muffin was not toasted, the sauce was bland, and the meat was hidden. A heavy addition of black pepper helped, but even with the addition, I still would not order it again. Similarly, my friend had to ask for one of the items she ordered three times and only received it when she went to the bar and asked for it. The manager reduced the price of my entree, which was appreciated, but overall the experience is not one I will repeat for the foreseeable future. read more

I headed to brunch with my daughter and two friends at brunch time on a random Monday and guess what? This place was packed! That's your first clue that this restaurant is beloved. We were dining here because it was touted as "dog friendly" and we found this to be extremely true! They were comfortable with our dog on the patio and even offered to bring him a dog bowl of water!!! Now onto the food: it was great. My omelette was well made as was the potatoes that came with it. My daughter was supremely happy with her chocolate chip pancakes and everyone at our table was pleased. My friend got a side of fresh fruit and I noticed right away how fresh everything was! The coffee was just alright for me and I do wish the restaurant was a bit bigger but the staff was all so friendly and our food came out right on time. Hmmm... let's start with the positive. The food was hot and tasted great. No complaints about my food at all. I went with two friends. One was satisfied. The other said her food wasn't hot enough; however, she enjoys her food steaming hot! So this is always a forewarning before the food comes out to avoid any problems... The service left a LOT to be desired. Rarely anyone being free to check back on the table. I guess super short staffed. The effects of the pandemic are still very present. I feel like it's an upscale Denny's. Gives me a diner feel. It is not an intimate dining place, at all. I heard loud children and crying. However, the table next to us was so loud we had to ask them to bring it down some. They kept getting louder and louder, talking over each other. Let me start things off with - this was a great location...per Waze to get us to the exact spot. We must have arrived shortly after they opened on a Sunday morning! Walked in the door greeted by a friendly hostess (a waitress came up to scold her about something, however the hostess remained professional.) We could tell that it was a friendly coworker banter however possibly not the place to do it in front of guests walking in to the establishment (especially when new people walk in - may give an incorrect impression.) We were seated and told our waitress would be over shortly. And sure enough the waitress come to the table rather quickly. She took our beverage order and away she went to get them. While she was away we did have a chance to not only look over the menu, we also took in the atmosphere of the dining room. When the waitress returned she simply said "what do you want?" Hmm, I have been to restaurants that have a "snarky" tone because that is the ambiance of the restaurant and that is what management encourages. However that is not the feel of what we'd observed around the dining room. We gave our orders to which nothing was written down (found that strange, yet in the back of my mind that could be a strong skill of wait staff - yet there is room for error.) My husband and I just looked at each other and smiled; as the waitress who still has not smiled at us yet. Now on to the food... we ordered Apple Fritter French Toast, eggs and Baked Bacon, Mock Mojito, House made Sausage, Traditional Day, with Hashbrowns. Needless to say grits were brought out instead of the potatoes, yet the waitress (once pointed out) brought potatoes. The food was exquisite! Mouthwatering even before eating a morsal. Smelled delicious without having to put our noses toward the plates! And once we began eating - what we imaged the food would taste like - it did not disappoint! The Apple Fritter French Toast - looked like it would be overly sweet, however it was not. It was ordered without the powered sugar. Just simply melted in my mouth! The baked bacon delicious with good chew, texture and flavor. However the Star of the meal....those Home Made Sausage!!!!!! So flavorful and well seasoned. They looked like mini hamburgers. Nice crust on the outside and the smell of the sausage just took you to another place. The Mock Mojito was refreshing! The mixologist did a fabulous job of presenting the beverage. For food we give it high marks! Just needs a little work on customer hospitality throughout. We sort of chalked the somber customer service of our waitress as possibly just had a rough start to her morning. Because just before we left - we did see her crack a smile. Oh, one other thing. It should be announced to customers to pay the waitstaff at the table - because we went to the door to pay, only to find out the waitstaff takes the payment. Some untrustworthy people may have just kept on walking out the door and not paid or tipped.
