Food was excellent. Service was poor. If you're not in a hurry (to get seated or to be waited on) it's worth a trip.

Nice place, very friendly service. Food was average at best. I ordered an omelet with spinach, tomato, bacon and EASY cheese......the omelet was loaded with cheese and not once did the server stop by to see how my meal was. Next time I'm in town, I'll try Big Bad Breaksfast... read more

CHOICES WE MAKE AS CONSUMERS: On yesterday we decided to go to Another Broken Egg Cafe on Highland at Poplar Avenue, yes they are at 25% capacity. We arrived at 10:45am though there was a (2) hour wait we decided to stay, it was a nothing to do Saturday as the hubby stated. During our wait the host staff kept us updated through there system. We were promptly seated at the 2hour mark 12:54pm. Great server greeted us went through some COVID-19 safety requests took beverage order and began to review some menu items we had not tried. A large group arrived and requested to sit on patio as our drinks arrived. The staff warned against it, as it was 35' and brisk cold. They insisted!! The staff setup the tables outside and seated the group. The server they had went out to begin to get orders, not sure what happened at that point but they were not happy with her. They all come back into restaurant and sit in a non designated table space near our table. Our server comes to check and let us know our food is coming out....I requested she cover our mimosa pitcher as she did. The manager came past and requested the group to move to the front or to their vehicles until there table would be ready. They moved but were upset that he asked. Our food arrived as they were leaving, the restaurant staff did a GREAT JOB in this situation. People we live in a COVID ERA, restaurant employees are not making there usual wages. We should all just be more considerate with the entire process of Restaurant Service as they are doing the best they can under COVID Requirements. Again, it's the CHOICES WE MAKE AS CONSUMERS in society. See you soon Another Broken Egg! read more

Waffle was soft and soggy like a wet paper towel. French toast only had egg on one half of one piece. They forgot the cheese on my girls eggs. The lid on her chocolate milk fell right off when she took her 1st drink. The host staff barely spoke and acted as if we were bothering them when approached. Over all id say avoid this place. You'd have a more pleasant experience cookin eggs on a rock in the valley of death. P.S. the highland and poplar location is even worse. We wont be eating at either place ever again. Also pay attention to the good reviews. They're all very dry and basic. Food descriptions are copied right from the menu. They're most likely not real reviews from actual customers... read more

DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!! The manager John Miles is racist and unprofessional needs to be fired immediately. He has NO knowledge of customer service and how to treat paying customers or maybe he treats all black customers like he does not want them there. I took one sip out of my drink and asked my waitress could I get another because it was nothing but syrup and not drinkable. We were sent to the manager John Miles who came to our table with the WORST attitude I've seen from anyone in a manager position. This man came to our table and rose his voice and said we do not void drink because you don't like it. I was not asking for the drink to be voided but to be given another different drink to which he still declined. This man continued to raise his voice at my friend and I which was unprofessional and embarrassing. We did not raise our voice to him at all yet he continued to become more and more irate as we attempted to have a simple conversation. I will be contacting corporate and making sure people know to steer clear of this location because of this man. He should not be in any type of leadership position and will run this location into the ground because of how he treats paying customers. I will not be visiting ANY Another Broken Egg locations again after this experience. read more

This place is a fabulous find - can't beat their brunch menu and the seasonal specialties! The beignets with the marmalade- yummmmmm! Lots of great drink options and I loved my Bloody Mary. The service is also outstanding- we've had the same waiter a couple of times and he is so knowledgeable and personable and really adds to the fining experience. If you get the chance- go here! read more

I was disappointed! I ordered the Benedict Oscar because is it sounded sooo good on the menu, but once my plate came out I didn't when want it anymore. It did not look appetizing! There were only 3 little chunks of steak, the dish just had too much going on. My eggs were overcooked. I also had a side of Mediterranean potatoes, the onions were burnt and there was barely any cheese on them. The menu makes everything sound so much better than it actually is. If my review was solely based on the food i would give it 1 star. But, the peach Bellini i had was awesome and my waiter was very good. The place was overly packed but he still was attentive to us and I appreciated that. I wouldn't go back. read more

This is one of my favorite creole style eateries for breakfast and/or brunch! Both locations have a creole feel! The staff is especially friendly and warm! The food comes out quickly and is always delicious! The only issue is the wait if walking in from the street. I am thankful for the waitlist option online! Bon a petit! read more

The wait too a while but was worth it. The food was very good and the menu was different than other breakfast places that I frequent.

Saturday Brunch here is NOT safe during COVID-19. Our server was not wearing a mask and we saw him touching his face and handling other people's food before us while he talked over the food people were getting ready to eat. Masks are NOT required by this establishment according to the sign at the entrance. There is zero social distancing enforced by blocking off tables. There is not even 3-4 feet of space between tables. This place could be a cause of major spread of COVID-19. Reported to the Health Department. read more

I've always seen a line out of the building here on the weekend. Well this time it was a Monday. We walked right in and we're seated. The staff was excellent...and the food even better! I normally could go on and on about the food, but all I'm going to say is...if you don't get the biscuit beignets, you'd be making a HUGE mistake. Those are the BOMB!!!!! read more

Spare of the moment discussion for breakfast. Me and my friend visited this location of Another Broken Egg. We were greeted and were seated quickly. Our server Marshal was amazing. Very informational on the menu and extremely pleasant. The food was delicious and too much to eat in one sitting. Will definitely visit this location again. read more

Another Broken Egg is a new east Memphis favorite. On a weekend, you can expect a wait no less than a half-hour at peak breakfast/brunch time. The hosting staff was awesome. Very attentive and working to make sure everyone was content as they waited for a table. My meal was not bad. I ordered Popeye's Favorite Scrambled Skillet (scrambled eggs, baked bacon, fresh spinach & onions with Monterey Jack cheese). The fruit salad looked translucent/old. That kind of grossed me out so I couldn't quite finish my meal. Everything was good up until that moment. Maybe I just caught them on an off-day. read more

Lots of locals here and the fresh food with quality ingredients is one of the reasons why. I had an egg white omelette with roasted peppers, asparagus and feta. It was served with an english muffin and fruit. A perfect start to the day! read more

I come to ABE after church on Sunday. It was packed with people. That's always a good and bad sign. The good sign is that it must be good because there are so many people. The bad part about it is the wait time for a table and for food. We were told we'd be getting a table and then asked to sit at the bar. Ok, no big deal... I was hungry. Then we put in our order and literally 30+ minutes go by and there comes my salad. Please help me understand how people who ordered food after us are receiving their food before? They ordered pancakes, eggs, and the works. I ordered a salad . The food was good. I'm not going to lie about that. I enjoyed my food but I don't think I'd wait that long for it again. Not sure if I'd return read more

The best breakfast I have had in awhile! The atmosphere is really nice. I dined on the patio which was absolutely fabulous....it made me feel like I was vacationing. There's no elaborate sign so you would definitely miss it if you are riding by. The staff was also very friendly. I think of this place as "the upscale hole in the wall." Some items on the menu are kind of pricey, but is totally worth it. I had the waffle sliders (omelet type of cheese egg and bacon on a sliced waffle)and a mimosa. DELICIOUS EVERY SINGLE BITE! I think it is cute how they lay a strawberry on a toothpick across the top of mimosas! Everything on their menu sounds pretty tasty and I'm excited about trying other items. I would recommend this restaurant to all of my greedy buddies! Until next time..... read more

I have been wanting to go to Another Broken Egg for months. So I talked some co-workers into going for Brunch yesterday. As we arrived it was somewhat busy but we were seated promptly. We ordered our drinks and reviewed the menu. We decided to order the biscuit beignets. I myself never had beignets but I thought they tasted pretty good but nothing out of this world. We then ordered our meals. I ordered the waffle sliders with a side of country potatoes while my coworkers ordered the cinnamon French toast and spinach, quinoa and chicken salad. Our food arrived quickly. However I will be honest the sliders tasted just okay. They weren't memorable, and tasted pretty bland. The egg had no seasoning and the bacon was burnt. It was if I could make the same thing at home better. Now, I will say I greatly enjoyed their country potatoes. However, please remember that I love potatoes lol Overall, the concept of the restaurant is great as I do love breakfast. Plus service was good, waitress was attentive and friendly. Hence the three stars. However, I didn't think the food was worth going back for. read more

I've visited many Broken Egg Cafe's but this one is probably by far the worst. After being seated I had to find a waitress. Once waited on it took a long time for our order to arrive. The food was not that hot and more like luke warm. The potatoes or not homemade and taste more like potato chips. The grits were not creamy. The kids waffle was too hard to really eat, we had to drench it in syrup. Flies are really bad at this restaurant, they are landing all over you and your food. I will not visit this location again. The only good comment is the waitress was pleasant. read more

While their breakfast is seemingly unmatched save a select few nooks, Another Broken Egg could really use an increase in staff and tables to accommodate the demand of all the delectable entrees the city has learned of and come to love! It is literally my only complaint about the place. Wait times are rarely less than half an hour to forty five minutes and I don't think they do reservations. Omelettes are always on point, and the French toast! My goodness, I left feeling so full. I'm already ready to go back. read more

They quoted 2 hours today, but it was a little over an hour which was good. We sat down about 1pm. Our server took our order & didn't write it down. I asked if she was sure she got it, she said yes. My son ordered an omelette with a side of grits, he got potatoes. She rang in the wrong omelette for me & I had to wait 20 minutes to get it. I said dry & well-done, it was barely cooked & oily. The server didn't apologize, she should have acknowledged it & comped it. No. Will not return. read more

I came back to try out their lunch. While sitting at the bar, we observed some disturbing practices. The bartender was making a Bloody Mary and stuck his whole bare hand in the carrots and celery tub. Not one time did I see him wash his hands; he just kept wiping them on his hands. I was completely shocked. This is why I always specify no fruit in my drinks. read more

I took my husband to Another Broken Egg Cafe for his birthday. We'd never been before, so we didn't know what to expect. Let's just say it was the best decision ever. We didn't have to wait too long to be seated, although we went during peak time. The service was good and the food was amazing! We highly recommend the Bacquezo omelet, the bacon, and especially the biscuit beignets. When I asked my husband what he thought, his response was, "Two yep yeps and a slap yo momma." Enough said! Food and service were very good. Full bar gets points. However not a fan of a 45 minute wait that doesn't have a ride at the end and the possibility of getting groped by a 6' giant rodent. If there is an actual reason why certain restaurants do not take reservations I would like to be educated. Otherwise, take bloody reservations so I can get out of there and on my way. Love this restaurant for breakfast and brunch, the Apple Fritter French Toast are my favorite. I believe it's just season but it's taste amazing. The service is always great, but I do not recommend using the online site to place orders. I just delivered a baby at the hospital next door to the restaurant and need some breakfast, so I order online which I thought it would be safe, but not at all. I tried to process my order with my payment info already filled in and it said declined, thank God I didn't try it twice because my bank sent me a notification saying payment to the restaurant was approved, but the restaurant never got my order. The manager took care of me she was really a blessing. Pic from 11/9/21 and the online incident was 11/12/21 twice in one week that the food was amazing. read more

So glad that Memphis finally got their own ABE bc I was introduced to this place when I was in Atlanta and I'm usually not the type of person that would drive 6 hrs for breakfast, but I have considered it on multiple occasions bc they haven't opened one here yet. The beignets are finger licking good (no lie, my friend licked not only his hands when we were done, but also got to the dish itself LOL). Great Food! I suggest that you reserve your spot on line. If not you will have a 2hour wait time for a party of 4.

Horrible customer service on the phone from the Park Ave location. The female on the phone stated we did not have a reservation when I was looking at both the text confirmation I received and our place in line. She recommended I call the other location to check with them and promptly hung up. At least the other location tried to help, but in the end we forewent going because no one could find the reservation and we got disconnected from the second location after being on hold for 20 minutes. Later, we received a call asking if we were still dining in because our reservation number had come up. Surprise, surprise I guess there was a reservation. I declined because we were out of the area, but this other lady on the phone was very pleasant and apologetic about our experience. read more

Good service, okay food. Nice place to meet up with friends because it is conveniently located. Ordered the beignets and crab omelet. The beignets were good, full of powdered sugar but I would like them to be little more fluffy. The omelet was at most a meh... not much to say there. Crab does not taste that fresh, but we are far from the ocean. The waitress was very nice though. read more

First time I tried this upscale breakfast chain was in Vinings, Georgia, outside Atlanta. It was really good. This was my first time in this new location in Memphis late on a Tuesday morning. Service was good, the food was okay. I was not impressed on this visit. The menu surprised me by not including anything with country ham, a local favorite, and there was nothing really outstanding that is not available at other local breakfast spots, done better. As I'm a big fan of breakfast, this was overall somewhat disappointing. read more

Hello my new favorite brunch spot and hello Bacquezo omlette! This spot is perfectly situated. Love the size of the restaurant and the outdoor patio. As soon as we walked through the door, which was kindly opened for us by an employee, we were taken care of. Not just by our server mind you, but the whole entire staff. There was one server in particular who went out of his way to talk to everyone and make their day! Wish I had gotten his name, but I will make a point to get it on a subsequent visit. The sweet tea is perfection and my mother said her coffee was extremely good. Both tasted freshly brewed. Our server made note that they grind fresh whole coffee beans for each pot. My omlette was huge and topped with some amazing chorizo. It oozed cheese. It was heaven on a plate. If I had had a hangover I probably would have gone back to the kitchen and kissed the chef. If I had had a hangover, I probably would have ordered one of the beautiful bellinis I saw coming out. As it was, I scarfed down my omlette and crispy potatoes and came out happy.
