This is a great brunch spot for any group. They offer a wide variety of creole inspired breakfast options as well as classic selections and those for your sweet tooth! Most options aren't particularly health conscious but there are definitely a few options such as the egg white omelette that are healthier. I personally loved my crab omelette! read more

So I came here on Saturday the 21st and the whole experience was a -5 star one. By far the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant and I would rather watch paint dry while standing on Lego's than ever coming to this disgrace of a business again. To begin, I was told it was a 30 minute wait which ended up being a one hour wait... I understand that mistakes happen so I let this slide. When I finally got seated, The waiter (A rude old man Who smelled horrible and had horrendous breath, identified as Bobby if I recall) told us to wait two minutes and he took about 15 minutes to finally come back and introduce himself and take our orders. We then waited 45 minutes only to have the waiter come back and LIE to us saying that the system voided our order so he's going to need to put it back in asap. We spoke to the manager and she did say that he indeed fabricated the story... He then comes back 5 minutes later and says he doesn't even know what our order is so he needs it again to put it on the computer.. So we leave and he yells at us saying we should not go out to eat if we are in a Rush... The whole pathetic excuse of a restaurant experience was over two hours and we did not even get to eat. Looking at the menu there seemed to be so many delicious options I didn't know what to choose but I finally decided on the Seared Scallop Omelette. That was a great choice indeed! The omelette was everything I wanted it to be. The egg was great, if had cheese and peppers inside; the scallops were cooked to perfection! And there were what I believe to be some crispy onions on top w/ a savory brown sauce *chef's kiss. The only thing that was a bit lackluster about my meal was the potatoes that accompanied it-- they were dry and unseasoned. They stayed on my plate. I also tried the strawberry nectar mimosa and the blueberry lemonade mimosa. Of the two, the blueberry lemonade was the better drink. My mom, brother, and bf ordered shrimp and grits, crab cake Benedict, and the Chicken sandwich. Overall, everyone was happy with their food. Service was great. It also means that the food here isn't premade, so while you might wait a few minutes more, the end result is worth it. A few words are in order about the food. It's rich. It has dairy. It is going to challenge calorie counters. ABEC is an indulgence, but it's like a vacation in your backyard. The alcoholic beverages are pure temptation, and brilliant for a breakfast themed eatery. This was my first time here and I really have no clue why. This restaurant is GREAT! From the moment we walked in the door until we left it was completely amazing. That's hard to find these days. We were sat by tge restaurant manager who explained a few things from the menu like how often it changes and his personal recommendations. Our server greeted us warmly as well and we ordered our beverages and our meals. My husband ordered the carnitas Benedict (I highly recommend!) and I ordered the B.L.A.S.T which is absolutely DELISH! Went this past weekend for brunch with my sister and kids and had an amazing time! We had Kurt as our waiter and he was phenomenal, superb customer service and even made some new recommendations that definitely put my favorite, shrimp and grits to the test... The lobster and brie omelette was topped with large chunks of lobster meat and the CITY GRITS were to die for! My sister had the crawfish bowl and she ate every morsel. My nephew had the banana foster pancakes and he honestly never finishes even half his food, left only a small piece. I even had a bite and it was so good I ordered it for breakfast today! We also ordered the strawberry poundcake frenchtoast for the table... its more like a lightly toasted poundcake topped with sliced strawberries not exactly what I pictured but the poundcake was still very good. While I was in the restroom the manager CeCi came over to see how everything was..and my sister praised how amazing the food and service was but she mentioned my previous experience and she quickly remembered my review. She waited for me to return to the table to talk to me and personally apologize for my previous experience as well as give me 2 tickets for complimentary meals for in the future. Honestly Ceci's sincere apology and the superb customer service I experienced on Saturday were more than enough to make up, but it was an awesome gesture. I was visiting my friend in Highland Beach and she brought me here before we headed to the Tortuga Festival down in FLL. One of my favorite hints about the south is that some breakfast establishments give you free pastries before your meal (always VERY sweet and VERY caloric), and Another Broken Egg Cafe fell in that camp. When I told them that I was from up north and had never been here, they served us a free serving of their biscuit beignets! These little things had the density and cakiness expected from a breakfast biscuit, yet had all the crispy fried sugar sweetness of a beignet from Disney World or the Café du Monde. It didn't really need the honey marmalade syrup that came with it, which is always a good sign. For drinks, we stuck with water and coffee. My cold brew was chilled and the right amount of bitterness, a big plus. Since we knew we were going to be out and about in the festival heat with drinks abound, we wanted a good base in our stomachs, so both my friend and I went for the sunrise spinach scrambler, hers with potatoes, mine with plain grits (when in Rome!). Service was very friendly, and came right on time. I LOVED my scrambler! While I was surprised to see full spinach leaves (thought they'd be sautéed but no matter), it still tasted great mixed in with the rest of the scrambler. The eggs were the right balance of firm and runny, and the other ingredients, including the onions, cheese and crispy bacon. My grits were as gritty as they should be, with the right amount of corn flavor coming through with each bite. Overall, a smash hit! If this place ever comes to NJ, I'll be first in line. read more

The food and service was great despite the busy atmosphere. The food was seasoned well, not too salty and not bland at all. The spiked cold brews have the perfect balance of coffee and alcohol but is more on the sweet side. Plus the biscuit beignets are an amazing start/ finish to your meal. I would suggest getting there a little early since it is a very busy establishment but the staff does work efficiently so wait times are reasonable. There is a lot of minor upselling from the waitress for sub-par extras (real maple syrup is offered, but comes as a $2 surprisingly tiny container; "fresh" squeezed OJ is clearly trucked after pasteurization). I had to ask for coffee a couple of times- the friendly service is a bit lacking in actual service. I got a visit from the Big D Hershey Squirts immediately after brunch, a correlation I'm not too happy with. The Bloody Mary was very good, even with unorthodox garnishes such as okra (perhaps the culprit?). Mixed experience with a bad ending, but the french toast will warrant another try. read more

Always busy... but they aim to please. The have a great menu featuring a diverse variety of plates not usual to Delray. My husband admitted that he sometimes comes here by himself just to get exactly what he ordered today. He ordered quinoa, granola and fruit with coconut yogurt. OMG! It was great! I don't eat dessert but this was as close as I get. The bowl was oversized and nicely portioned with blue quinoa clumped amidst a delicate fresh coconut, nut, raisins and granola, berries and the striped with a delicate yogurt. In a side cup was a additional topping of coconut yogurt. My western omelette was good but the quinoa dish still the scene. The have vegetarian and gluten free options which is always nice to see. The service was courteous and the manager stopped by to be sure everything was to our liking. The weather was beautiful from the outside seats. Placed an online breakfast order for three people this past Saturday (at 9:58 AM), and was given a 10:20 pick-up time. When I arrived, I noticed the printed ticket now had a pick-up time of 10:28 (no big deal -- it was busy, and the kitchen was cranking out orders). After an employee checked on my order for a fourth time, I was told (at 10:45) that it "should be out really soon." Ten minutes later, I finally received it only three minutes shy of a full hour after my order was completed. I've worked at a handful of places in the service industry over the past decade, and understand that, sometimes, things go wrong. Staffing issues, new employees, the domino effect after one major issue arises... I get it. If the employees exhibit outstanding customer service, or if the meal is ultimately good, the unfortunate circumstances are quickly forgotten. To that point, though, this was not the first time I've waited there for an extended time (which is why I rarely order food from ABE on weekends). However, when I finally made it back home, all three of us noticed we were missing different parts of our meals. My girlfriend received her Cinnamon French Toast, but without the eggs, bacon, and whipped cream she ordered. Her mother enjoyed a Supreme Omelette, but didn't get an English muffin. The kicker was that my Biscuit & Gravy meal (see attached picture) literally came without either part of its name. Just got a plate of eggs, sausage, and potatoes. Again, I understand that accidents happen and mistakes get made. However, once something goes wrong, customer service skills need to be employed. I appreciate the employees (especially the bartender) who checked on my order after noticing me standing there for an extended time, but a simple "Sorry for your wait" and having a supervisor/manager check in with me would have gone a long way. I reached out an hour later and left a message (with my name, number, and a few details); requesting a callback from management in order to discuss this matter. According to their voicemail, I should have received a call by the end of their next business day. Unfortunately, I'm writing this review today (Wednesday) after waiting an additional 48 hours for them to respond. We will not be giving them another opportunity to disappoint us. read more
