After my first review, we have been coming here from time to time either for a drink or brunch. Service at the bar is always great, and quick. This last time I went with a larger group, about 15 people. They gave us the "private" room so we could have conversations comfortably. Our assigned servers were great. Drinks, bread service, water were brought quickly. Appetizers did not take too long either and must say the Octopus and Tuna tacos were amazing! We all selected our dishes, and without any issues, they were all brought out. No one had to wait for anyone's dish to come out, they served everyone at the same time and made sure we all had exactly what we had ordered and needed. This time I went with the Branzino with the spinach risotto. And just this dish earns them 5 stars again. Really a great place to come enjoy great food, relaxing atmosphere and excellent service. read more

Still the best meal I've had in south Florida. Ordered the sea bass this time and I wanted to cry at how perfectly cooked and delicious it was. Two of us in the party actually got the sea bass - one with mashed potatoes the other with risotto. Both excellent. The other member of the party got the lobster fettuccini which was equally incredible. It's a massive portion too with big chunks of lobster meat and shrimp. We ordered the lobster bisque as an app so I would recommend if you do get the fettuccini skip the bisque they're both similar due to the sauce in the pasta. read more

This is the only Waterfront restaurant in Highland Beach ( a very exclusive location near Boca Raton on the Ocean! Located in the Delray Beach Sands Hotel with valet parking the food is amazing and the service is fantastic. A great menu with something for everyone, even gourmet dishes are wonderful and delicious and even if you just want a Burger, its as great as a Burger Restaurant! We love Lattitudes. We have been there many times. Their food is amazing. The atmosphere amazing too - right on the beach. Service typically unmatched. Today was the exception. We waited 30+ minutes and we did not even have coffee. Then a server (we were not his table) stopped to ask if we had been helped yet. He took our order. Shame on us for going out on Valentines Day when it is crazy. Ultimately it took an hour to get our food - which was excellent and hot. The restaurant manager kept checking on us. Apparently they were short 2 people and that threw everything off. Bottom line - the food was still amazing and the manager showed us his appreciation for being calm under challenging circumstances. We will be back again soon. Stuff happens and management acknowledged their shortcomings today. Good job considering. read more

Hidden gem in Highland Beach! You could miss this place if you're just driving by, since it's inside a hotel. I found it on Yelp and decided to try it out. I was craving seafood, so I got the mini ahi tuna tacos and the grilled octopus - both were super good! Their martinis are also amazing, super fresh and fruity. The chocolate mousse dessert was really tasty too. My server, Gabriela, was so nice and helped me pick the best seafood options. She was very attentive, which made the whole experience even better. Usually, a place either has great food or a great view, but this one has both. I came on a Saturday around 2:30 and made a reservation about an hour before, asked for outdoor seating, and got it! Definitely recommend calling ahead if you want a table outside - it's really nice and refreshing by the beach. read more

Ehhh. We were highly disappointed in this place. The staff was wonderful but the services was incredibly slow. From getting our food to trying to close out. The spicy fish tacos were fishy and not spicy at all. The wagyu burger was nothing more than a typical cheese burger. Went on a spectacular Friday night for a few cocktails and appetizers. What can be better than practically sitting on a beach ( no seaweed, thank God) amongst a fairly lively crowd with a great staff to make you feel well taken care of? We ordered some drinks. I had an in and out martini. Whoever bartends deserves credit. Not everyone knows how to properly pour. Yes, our waiter brought over a basket of warm ciabatta- style bread with outstanding, peppery olive oil. Did I want to eat a whole basket? No. But it was seriously excellent, and I'll forgo my calorie count for excellence. We ordered a few things such as a shrimp summer roll and tuna tacos. Both were well portioned to share and feel satisfied. I've been to Latitudes probably 8 times over the years, and it never disappoints. Restaurants come and go but I'm happy this one stays. There is a happy hour from 4-6 if you sit by their bar which has in and outside seating. You won't have the beach on top of you, but you'll get the breeze. Valet parking only ($10) read more

This was our first dine here, with a reservation for an early dinner at 5:30 with another couple. Allow me to start with the ambience. Bottom line, there wasn't any. Tables close together, the room looks stale and dated from the late 1990's. And a critical factor was the AC. It was not working properly or was set too high. After several complaints to the waiter, he told us it was set at 76 and the hostess would lower it to 73. We did feel a momentary rush of cool air and then the moisture in the air returned and it was stuffy and became progressively more stuffy as the dining room filled up. If we were not meeting friends who were leaving for a European adventure the following day, I would have turned around and walked out. In retrospect, we should have done that. The food was mediocre - the description was way better than it looked. And it tasted a bit off. My entree was a piece of broiled fish which was dried out, a few scallops and shrimp, each tasteless, and a healthy serving of good tasting mashed potatoes and a few skimpy veggies. The best description I can provide is that the plating looked institutional. Like the kind of food which might be served in a cafeteria or lower end restaurant. My wedge salad was quite good and quite large as was the Caesar salad ordered by my husband. But man (or woman) cannot live by salad alone. For a seafood dominant restaurant I expected much more. Oh let me k is forget the warm bread and sweet butter. They were delicious. I would have been pleased if I had bread butter and the wedge salad. Our server TYLER was quite good. We felt badly for him because it was so warm and he had to work all night in that place. No dessert. No coffee. We all needed to get out of there before we passed out. And when we left the room was packed and appeared to be happy. Would I return? Definitely a hard no. And while the view is fantastic - as you're sitting almost on the beach - it doesn't offset the mediocre food and calmly stuffy air. Valet which is mandatory is $10. Credit cards accepted. We came for the tower... the seafood tower experience we have been craving from land locked Omaha Nebraska and was good but not perfect as the Maine lobster was a little over cooked however the, oysters, gulf shrimp, lump crab( our unexpectad personal favorite), alaskan king crab, cocktail sauce, grated horseradish, citrus mignonette, charred lemon all were delicious. Absolutely horrible experience. The manager went out of her way to disrespect my 3, 6, and 7-year-old children for absolutely no reason. Instead of showing even the slightest bit of patience or professionalism, she spoke to them in a rude, condescending way that was completely inappropriate for kids that age. As a parent, watching a grown adult treat small children like they were an inconvenience was shocking. These are little kids, not teenagers causing problems. A restaurant manager should understand that families dine out and that children are part of the community. Her attitude was hostile, dismissive, and honestly embarrassing for the establishment. If this is the type of person they trust to represent their business, it says a lot about the culture of the place. We will never come back, and I strongly encourage other families to think twice before bringing their children here unless they want them to be treated with disrespect. read more

It was another nice stop into Latitudes. It had been maybe a year since the last time we crashed the brunch hour at Latitudes. We pulled up to the valet, which was fast and efficient, just like the last time. It was a little busy but they had a couple spots at the bar. We like sitting there as the service is excellent, and you can see the waves from there easier. In fact, if you are the only ones sitting there the service is impeccable. We had a couple brunch drinks at the ready. My Gin Fizz was great. It's not a common drink that places make so I was privileged to have a good one sitting near the beach. I ordered something I have very rarely ordered, the tuna tacos. It feels like unless they are great I may not like them. Luckily, these were great. Truly a perfect Sunday brunch bite. We took a chance and got seats without a reservation. I look forward to the next time we get a chance to crash the brunch hour. read more

Just Incredible. Their food is pristine even down to the asiago bread they put out for the table. We got calamari as a starter which had thick strips of squid and was very well seasoned. I wanted to get the sea bass but saw the lobster cobb on other tables and it looked amazing so I opted for that and it was truly the best salad I've ever had in my life. Beautiful ocean view. We set a reservation for 3 at 2pm on a Sunday and they were packed solid. We brought a friend visiting from out of town. The ocean was rough -- no outdoor diners as it was cool, windy, and rainy with a fierce looking riptide. You can spot the tourists as the only ones swimming. What better to start off the day with some Modelo Especial on draft. I went with the Blackened Mahi Sandwich with a side of slaw. This is a nice treat in the local area without going to Fort Lauderdale to catch this rare ocean view while dining. It's hard to know it exists if passing by on A1A -- use GPS. read more

Now that I've been here a few times with terrible service, I have to update my review. I want to love this place because it's the only waterfront dining in Boca. The views are nice. The food is good, but not worth waiting such a long time for. We sat for 5-10 minutes before a server acknowledged us. When he did arrive, he halfway asked what he could get us - more of a grunt. It took a solid 30 minutes for our salad and tacos to come out. Everyone around us were offered bread baskets while they waited, but not us. Our server still nowhere to be seen this entire time. No acknowledgment of "oh sorry for the delay, it will be out soon." Nothing. When our food finally did arrive, no one came to ask how it was or if we needed anything else. No drink refills. Nothing. Finally, we had to flag down the server to pay. We've had slow service every time we've been here, but this was by far the worst. This was on my birthday too lol. Won't be returning. read more

The oceanfront view of Delray Beach is unbeatable and adds such a relaxing vibe to the meal. The service was friendly and attentive, which made our experience even better. Today my close girlfriends took me out for lunch at Latitudes located at the Ocean to celebrate my special birthday. It couldn't have been any nicer since we sat outside on the porch and the weather was brilliant with a warm breeze, sun shining and the waves rolling in the distance. Vicky was our adept waitress who took our orders and brought our salads and drinks on a timely basis. We each ordered a different salad. Each had fresh ingredients and beautiful presentation. I had the Ocean Reef White Albacore Tuna Salad, Roasted Chicken Salad, Farmer's Greens, Ripe Melon, Fresh-Picked Berries, Crispy Herb-Seasoned Flatbreads. Marianne had the Cobb O Crisp Artisan Greens, Vine-Ripened Tomato, Black Olives, Hard-Cooked Egg, Smoky Bacon, Avocado, Gorgonzola Cheese, Buttermilk Ranch * 17- Add Grilled Chicken and Karyl had the Classic Caesar Crisp Romaine, Creamy Caper Dressing, Parmesan, Olive Oil-Baked Croutons and grilled salmon. We were all satisfied and very happy. Our portions were more than adequate and I was able to take 1/3 home for another lunch. Valet parking has a fee because restaurant is in a hotel. Listen up guys! If you have not been here or heard of it, I'm here to let you know that Latitudes is the place to be. The outdoor seating will knock your socks off. Dining while listening to the ocean was top tier. Started with the calamari and coconut shrimp. They were literally finger licking good. They were so good we ordered two of each ha! For entrees, we dove right into the lobster roll sandwich, butchers block prime burger, lobster and shrimp fettuccine, and the lobster and crab stuffed shrimp. Everything was DELICIOUS. We arrived at 4:45 p.m. for dinner at a restaurant we have frequented often and had requested a window table in our reservation; none was available. We agreed to sit outside, where multiple tables were open, but the hostess initially seated us at a table less than two feet from the server station. We declined that table and were then moved to another one.Christey was assigned as our server. Because dinner service began at 5:00 p.m., we expected to see him around that time. At 5:00 p.m. and again at 5:10 p.m., we looked for him, but there was no sign of him, even though there were two other servers working in the area. At approximately 5:15 p.m., we finally saw Christey, but he was taking orders from other tables with his back to us. I called out to him, but he left the area without acknowledging us. At about 5:20 p.m., we flagged down another server for assistance, and he offered to take our order, which we accepted.While all of this was happening, we were also subjected to continuous barking from a nearby dog. The restaurant may be dog friendly, but there was no effort made to address the ongoing disturbance, which significantly diminished our experience.Even after placing our order with the other server, there was still no follow up from Christey. By around 5:40 p.m. we still had not received our meals. At approximately 5:45 p.m. we again saw Christey, asked about our food, and he said he would check on it. He then proceeded to serve other tables and did not return with an update.At that point, I called the hostess stand and asked to speak with a manager. My husband had to go to the desk because the hostess could not figure out where th deck directly in front of her was ( I kept saying we were in the outside deck to the left but she did not get it). Carly the manager told my husband there was a problem with the chicken and that it needed to be cooked from scratch, which would take a few more minutes. She came to our table when the food ws delivered. She saw that the chicken entrée was very good. However, my steak and lobster tail were not acceptable. I had ordered the steak medium rare, but it arrived well done, and the lobster tail was dry and overcooked. Carly offered to have the dish remade, but based on how long everything had already taken, I declined, as I did not want to wait another extended period for my meal. She told us that they would take care of us.We finished our meal pretty quickly as I had some potatoe and asperagus but no one came by to check on us or to see whether we needed anything further, such as more bread, another drink, or water. Eventually, we placed all of our dishes at the edge of the table in the hope that at least a busser would notice and come over so we could request the check.The server who had originally taken our order, not Christey, eventually came over, apologized, and asked if we wanted dessert. Given the experience up to that point, we declined. A few minutes later, he returned and told us that the restaurant had applied a 50 percent discount to our dinner and was offering a complimentary dessert and coffee which we already turned down. If their only way of taking care of a patron is just to ignore them then give them 50% off. While we appreciate the gesture, it did not adequately address the series of service issues, delays, and the overall disruption we experienced throughout the evening.We paid and left. While I understand restaurants can have a bad day. The way this was handled was compltelty unacceptable. Unfortunately, based on this visit, this restaurant is no longer our favorite place to dine. read more
