We celebrated Paul's birthday. Jerry Benson made it very special for us. We started with a champagne toast and we ended with a trio of desserts with a flambé presentation. We brought our closest friends to celebrate with us and they loved it too. The music and decor was chic and alluring. We want to return and sit in the bar room and enjoy the music and maybe happy hour next time. We feel it's the nicest steak and seafood restaurant in our area. We've been to most of them. As far as what we ate, we were all very happy. We had 1/2 dozen oysters, shrimp cocktail, bone-in ribeye steak cooked to perfection, 19 oz. filet mignon, sole fish, baked potato, Mac & cheese, roasted Brussels sprouts, crab and shrimp fried rice. Upon entering Eddie V's, I was warmly greeted by the hostess as she confirmed my reservation. I was quickly seated in the high top section near the bar. In the far right corner were a piano and drum set, leading me to assume live music plays at a specific time at the restaurant. My server, Sheba, was very pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu, helping me decide on my wine choice - Hermann Riesling - which was crisp and lightly sweet. I wanted to try their Thanksgiving dinner, so Sheba told me it included sliced roasted turkey, brioche sage stuffing, homemade mashed potatoes, French green beans, and cranberry chutney. The meal not only looked but also tasted delicious. The turkey was moist and succulent. The stuffing, cranberry chutney, and mashed potatoes were each flavorful with different spices. I would have preferred the green beans a bit more tender, but they were tasty in their crunchy texture. Along with a hot latte, I also had a scrumptious pumpkin pie tartlet with pecan ice cream for dessert. My first dining experience at Eddie V's exceeded my expectations: from the warm, relaxed ambiance and the well-prepared food, to the impeccable service. Stopped by last night with my kids for dinner. It was my second time dining here and after my first great experience (I gave them 5 stars) I was really looking forward to it. First and foremost, have to give respect to our server Avi who was on point all evening. He did a great job answering questions, assisting with requests and bringing out our food in a timely manner. Another plus was the atmosphere. There's no question that the vibe here is fantastic. They had a live jazz band playing, the lighting level was good, and noise level was just right and the dining room was comfortable and elegant. As for the food I was a little bit disappointed with the quality, especially considering our first visit was so fantastic. I got the spicy Yellowfin sashimi app which was pretty good but we all thought that the tuna tartar and crispy rice was a little underwhelming. The beef dumplings were okay, nothing special. The biggest disappointment of the evening were the steaks, which I obviously expected to be the highlight. We all got 10 oz filets. They were seared well, but lacked seasoning and flavor. My steak was also way undercooked from my medium request, it was much closer to rare. My kids also had tough, fatty bits in their steaks which was surprising since they're filets. The asparagus we got for the table to split was OK, nothing to write home about. Overall not a bad night, but I mean for $300 bucks the food should be perfect. And it wasn't. My favorite Boca Raton steakhouse has valet parking but they don't demand $15. And they certainly don't ask for $60 to park out front. Normally I park for free across the street in the parking garage but I was with a couple of people who were 90 years old and was not about to let them walk the $15 fee didn't bother me...having said that...with the pricing structure I was expecting top notch food and it wasn't close. Average bluepoint oysters and the yellowtail crudo was somewhat salty. My 10 Oz filet mignon wasn't barrel cut it was just a chunk of meat and parts were well done...medium well not medium rare. The Cognac Cream Peppercorn sauce was off also...I've had much better at other places. Brussel sprouts were okay also a little salty. Service was good no problem. In no hurry to return to this place. Im thinking the bar is a better value with the bar menu it was busy the inside of the restaurant had a nice ambiance and tables were available when we left. We stopped by Eddie V's Prime Seafood for a few quick bites and were pleasantly surprised. The filet mignon sliders were unbelievably tasty--perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The Oyster Rockefeller was pretty good as well. The service was very nice and attentive, which made the experience even better. The ambiance was great; we especially enjoyed the quiet outdoor seating, which was relaxing and comfortable. Inside was much more lively, though definitely very loud. My lovely waitress actually recommended it after I asked for something with coconut, but not rum. Of course the bread and butter was sinful, I almost forgot to take that pic. I had the stuffed shrimp with crab and accompanied by scallops with lemon drawn butter. Listening to the love music was definitely a vibe. The overall scene was great for a long afterwork Tuesday night. People filled but not too crowded. I will say that I realized that I was not in the NY/NJ area anymore, as the wait was a bit longer than the desired but we'll worth it!! My meal was delicious!! It was our second annual family Xmas Eve dinner and Eddie V's made it merry and bright. We made a reservation ahead of time for an early dinner at the Mizner Park location, which is situated in a walkable area filled with other restaurants and boutiques in Boca. It's one of my favorite areas in the city. Plus, there's plenty of street and garage parking, but do plan to give yourself a bit of extra time before your reservation to find a spot. We always find a spot nearby at the metered parking lot off NE 2nd St. Once inside, we were greeted by the host and were guided past a long, dim hallway to our table, a semi-circle booth perfect for a party of five (plus a baby) overlooking much of the intimate dining room. My baby was in a stroller, and we had plenty of space. Our table started off with the cocktail shrimp appetizer (so fresh and delicious!) and drinks, including an old fashioned and a gin martini. We split a Caesar salad before our entrees arrived - two of us ordered the scallops dish, which was divine, and we also got the filet mignon, salmon and the special, which included a filet and a tempura battered lobster. We selected the perfectly grilled asparagus and the cheesiest of cheesy au gratin cheddar potatoes as our accompaniments. We didn't do dessert this evening but I do recommend the bananas foster butter cake, which they flambé table side. Everything was perfectly cooked, came out in a timely manner and the waiter was super attentive. Another excellent Xmas Eve dinner in the books. My daughter took me here for my birthday. We enjoyed a few drinks at the bar. My margarota was really good. It had the right amount of alcohol. Wr proceeded to dinner by the band. We started off sharing the BLT salad. This was nothing special and they drowned it in dressing. I like dressing but the was over the top. We started off ordering a 10 ounce filet mignon and mashed potatoes to share. The filet was very skimpy. I don't think it was nearly that size. So we ordered another one. That was about the same size as the first. The mashed potatoes were good. They did not have a ton of flavor but what it did have worked well with the ingredients. For dessert, our lovely server brought us each a plate of desserts. Thisnwas very generous. One would have even been enough. We each took home some of the desserts. The music was fantastic. This was my first time eating at this location. Overall, I prefer the Las Olas one. It was Mom's birthday and we started at the bar. She ordered a spicy margarita and I ordered the Bulleit Sour. Let me say, this drink was not super strong, but it was delicious. It is one of the best flavored drinks I ever had. It is on the sour side. It was amazing and I will definitely get this in the future. I also ordered oysters and oysters rockefeller. The rockefeller ones were just ok. I did not love the flavor, too bland for me. The regular oysters were high quality and had that ocean flavor I love. We split everything we ordered at the table. This includes a wedge blt salad, filet mignon and mashed potatoes. The salad came out fairly quickly. The kitchen is nice and splits everything so it makes life a lot easier at the table. Now Mom did ask for extra dressing. I was shocked at the amount of dressing they put on the salad. Plus, we each got a side of dressing, even though I did not ask for one. This salad is not even that big. I mean, it felt gross to be honest. The salad was swimming in the dressing. The salad was ok but there was not enough bacon. The steak was absolutely delicious!! This is one of my favorite places for filet mignon. I do think the steak was less than the 10 ounces mentioned. We each got 3 small pieces and it was not enough. So, we had to order another one. Other times we have split a filet and it was enough. The mashed potatoes, as stated on the menu, are simple. They are not bad and they are not fantastic. They did come out hot. Tonight I tried the sides. Yep the Brussels sprouts tasted like Brussels sprouts. Not my favorite but my guests seem to enjoy. I had a cup of lobster bisque that was so good. Delicious and then for dessert I had the Bananas Foster Flambéed. It has been years since I have found that on a menu. It was awesome. Definitely as good as I remembered. I wish I could say the same for our recent visit. My caesar salad had a very strange unidentifiable topping on it, that I wasn't expecting nor wanted on my caesar salad. Not good. Being 'creative' backfired. Classic caesar salad please...just leave it alone, no funny flavors, strange toppings and add ons. The calamari was tasty, but short on quantity, and eliminate the useless dry noodles for design. For the money give more value. Lastly and most unforgiving, our filet mignons took forever to come, and when they finally arrived, they were cold, and kind of disgusting. Really unacceptable for a steakhouse of this caliber. For this money, there are better places to spend it. read more

My wife and I were lucky enough to get invited to Nicole C's birthday celebration. She rented out the beautiful private room. Everything was 5 star , including the smokey old fashioned I enjoyed. Our main server and her helpers were amazing. Food was outstanding. From the shrimp and steak appetizers, the soup ,salad main entree to dessert. I got the Filet, my wife got the fish. The filet was a little on the medium side, but that's the way I prefer. My wife's dish was cooked perfectly. Even the sides were delicious. The show stopper was the classic creme brulee. Also showcased was the unbelievable bananas foster butter cake, and mixed berries and creme. This was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I have had. Eddie V's located at end of Mizner Park. Outside is mysterious, with no windows and somewhat disguised door entrance. Once in you're greeted with the hostesses on one side and bar on the other. They always have a band playing which is great! You can even hear them softly in the dinning room. My one issue was both hostesses had a slight attitude which was off putting especially for the start of your experience. When she walked us to the table you could see/feel the negative energy! We've been here before but only for drinks at the bar which are top notch! The food was outstanding. We had the wagu beef dumpling appetizer which was very tasty with a side of Asian dipping sauce. I had the Parmesan Sole which was simply delicious! Generous portion with two large filets with heirloom tomatoes and garlic butter sauce. This dish was savory yet delicate. A must try! My husband had the Georges Bank Scallops which were outstanding! Perfectly cooked and accompanied by citrus fruit, Marconi almond with brown butter. The flavors complimented the scallops so beautifully! The ambience in the restaurant is dark and cozy. Definitely a great date night place. Beautiful live music. Warm bread with a delicious butter. Amazing cocktails. The waitstaff is knowledgeable about all of the dishes and can give recommendations on the spot. They package your leftovers for you. They also are happy to split your dishes between the table in the kitchen as needed. A small touch but my absolute favorite detail is they wipe crumbs from the table between each course. I'm leading with my photos in this review. I'm always delighted when there is consistency between different locations of the same restaurant. The Eddie V's in Boca Raton was just as good as its "sisters" in Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa and Chicago. The restaurant is attractive. The seats just a bit low (but when you stand over 6' 4" that's not surprising). The noise level was quite high, but Boca Raton is the bastion of the loud, obnoxious, crowd. Our server, Angeline was friendly and quite knowledgeable about the menu. She was just a bit harried and- but not really her fault. The star here is the food: The Lobster Tacos were tasty, the Lobster Bisque rich and creamy. The Steak Tartare was prepared table-side - great taste, nice consistency and good flavor. The Parmesan Crusted Sole was nicely coated and not at all dry. The Stuffed Shrimp were delightful, the Norwegian Salmon was perfectly cooked, tender and nicely presented. The prize main was my Chilean Sea Bass. It was perfectly steamed and served with a sweet miso soy sauce. The radish salad was a nice and refreshing accompaniment. Finally the Au Gratin and Mashed Potatoes were tasty, well prepared and served in large, shareable portions. Overall, although quite pricey, Eddie V's is a "winner." read more

We have had three happy hour experiences at Eddie V's, sitting in the bar lounge. The happy hour offerings were quite good as well as the selection of appetizers. Drinks were pricey at non HH, $20. They shake your martini table-side, and frankly, one server complained or rather whined that she was shaking it so vigorously that her hand was cold. She gave it to us to touch and indeed it was. We thought "well she has another hand!" Service was attentive if not a bit amateurish. Note, our experiences were within the first month of opening, so we are hopeful that it will only get better. (Update - it has, both at the bar and at the dining tbale. Our last server was TIFFANY, and she was awesome. Upbeat, truly happy to be employed at Eddie V's. Dined at Eddie V's recently, a party of four. I thought the ambiance was elegant & the decor was upscale & refined. Bat area has almost a modern take on an Art Deco vibe. Very clean & sleek. The main dining room has a wall of wine bottles and it is decorated in soft grey tones with dim but appropriate lighting. We were shown to a booth that was comfortable and proceeded to meet our wait staff name Matthew. He took our drink order. Everyone was impressed with the quality & preparation of their drinks. The Mezcal Negroni was a big hit! Next came our appetizers: crab stuffed shrimp ( fresh & delicious) and for main entree we ordered Chilean Sea Bass over a bed of kale w/ soy ginger sauce that all of us really loved! As a side ( or accompaniment) we also had stir fried rice topped with/ crabmeat that everyone raved about! Sadly, we were too full for desserts. SO next time we'll need to leave room for that! Eddie V has many locations across US and this was our first visit to the Boca Raton one. The other location we have been to is the one in La Jolla, CA which is spectacular because it is located right next to the ocean and it's just beautiful. The Boca one has a lot of booth seating in the main dining area, which is nice. The staff and service here were good. There is valet here for $12 but we just parked in one of the parking garages in Mizner Park for free. We ordered the hamachi yellowtail for our appetizer, seabass and scallops for the entrees, crab fried rice for our side and they kindly gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary dinner. A couple of my scallops had sand in it so that was a bummer. I don't think I'll order scallops here again. The crab fried rice is very good but a lot of butter in it. The seabass is always consistently cooked well and very popular if you don't want to get a steak. The banana foster dessert is amazing and delicious. I'm glad we tried the location in Boca and that there is one close by but we like the La Jolla, CA one much better. If you ever make it to San Diego, the Eddie V's in La Jolla is highly recommended. read more

Came on a Friday night for a bachelorette dinner. We had reservations, so the wait wasn't long but we also had reservations. the restaurant is huge and extends through a couple rooms to the back! We were given bread and butter that was fresh and absolutely amazing. We were also given complimentary things like champagne and a bite of an appetizer. We ordered food for ourselves and sides to share at the table. The food was great. I've honestly had better salmon but it was still good and the sides were even better. This review is SUPER late because we initially visited Eddie V's for New Years Eve and it was our first time since we moved to Boca Raton joining them for dinner aside from the fact that it was also our anniversary. I was very excited for this reservation based on the reviews that I had the chance of reading... can't say the restaurant lived up to the glory it is usually praised for. I understand around a date like the one we chose to visit is not usually the best time because Back of house is really very busy so the details that they will usually pay attention to go by unnoticed without hesitation which brings me here. Our server was a delight, she was very thorough explaining the menu and gave us the details of the items which guests tend to order the most when visiting Eddie V's. and we were ready to listen and allow her to navigate us through the evening. I was not impressed with any of the dishes, only one of the items was memorable and it was the potatoes Au gratin which really were very on point and the best ones I've had since our last visit to Paris. The Fillet Medallions Oscar Style was so disappointing; we asked for the cut to be medium rare (as we order out meat everywhere we go always making sure to ask our server what their definition of medium rare means so it wasn't a miscommunication or a mistake from our waitress) they re-did it twice for us and the manager was also lovely enough to come to our table and attempt to remediate it but I think the kitchen was very backed up and tasty food was not a priority on that particular read more

This was the best all around meal we've had in awhile. First off, Kelly was a terrific server. She always had a smile and she timed our meal perfectly. We started with drinks which were all good and the hot crispy bread was yummy. My hubby got a bowl of Lobster bisque which was nice. I split a Filet and Lobster tail and our friends got stuffed shrimp and lambchops. Sorry no picture of the latter. Our Lobster tail was the best one we've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked. Everyone is still raving about their meal. The Lobster mashed potatoes are NOT too be missed. We had an issue with the lamchops. Half the order was slightly undercooked for my friend's liking and they were comped by the manager who apologized that she had to wait and finish her meal without the rest of us. For dessert we shared the warm chocolate cake with ice cream and swapped the berries for cookies which were awesome. The decor is beautiful and they had live music playing in the lounge area on a Thursday night. I cannot say enough about how good this meal was. We will be back soon. read more

Just Wow! We came here for our anniversary dinner, the last week of December. We've been going quite happily to their restaurant in Fort Lauderdale since it opened. Now that they have a location in Boca Raton which is a tad closer, we thought we'd try them out and see if they were equally as good. I'm happy to report a resounding yes! We'd made reservations a while back and they are highly recommended. We were greeted on our arrival at the hostess desk. We were wished a happy anniversary there. We were taken to our table to find it decorated with hearts, and a card from management wishing us a happy anniversary, as well. Also, during while we were dining, one of the managers, Sacha, stopped by our table to make sure everything was okay and to wish us a happy anniversary. We met our waiter Marc -- who was fantastic and personable. We got to chat with him a bit later and find out about his "story". As a complimentary gesture, we were given champagne with raspberries to start. We began by sharing their burrata and beet salad. Along with the cheese and beets were marcona almonds on a few greens. All was drizzled with a honey and wine vinaigrette dressing. We liked the salad. I would have liked more beets and less almonds, however. For our main entrees, I had their branzino. It was skin on and perfectly grilled. There were pieces of artichoke hearts mixed into the greens and tiny bits of sundried tomatoes. There was supposed to be some olive tapenade there as well, but I didn't taste any. I didn't miss the olives or anything else, however, as the fish was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered their small center-cut filet mignon steak along with some (plain) mashed potatoes, as his side. The steak was done exactly to his liking, and he said it was quite tender and tasty. For dessert, we were gifted a plate with three small desserts on it: homemade butter pecan ice cream, a soft chocolate cookie, and a piece of their bananas foster butter cake which they flamed tableside. On this plate was written "Happy Anniversary".... We really couldn't have asked for a more perfect celebration dinner. The recognition and attention and excellent service complimented the delicious food. In fact, the service makes this restaurant a fantastic example of how a venue can stand out from the crowd of south Florida's plethora of dining options.
