We ended up at O'Brian's randomly. I was driving my friend from a Super Boen Party back to the…read moretrain station so they could take the tri-rail back to Palm Beach. Since they had some time to kill and sobriety was not an option, we decided to stop and the closest watering hole next to I-95z what came up in their GPS, or the choice they made, was O'Brian's. Out time there was a wonderful experience. Must certainly a younger crowd, which is understandable know the proximity to the university but still a magnificent time. Service was quick, and the drinks were on point. We were already a bit plastered coming from a Super Bowl celebration, but despite how busy they were they were still able to provide us with drinks within minutes. I asked for a spiced rum and coke, which even though not my drink of should, it was what I was stuck with the whole night because of the avatar the super bowl party. I can't wait to go back when I in Boca again. Based on my one time observation, O'Brian's is a blast!

Finally got here after years and years of friends asking me to go. Sat upstairs which is a terrific…read moreplace to be away from the crowds. It's kind of like sitting in the balcony of live theater except more spread out. We liked it because it wasn't so crowded up there and you could look right over the balcony. Place is very loud though even upstairs but since we loved the band no complaints. You can order a full meal or just snacks or just drinks. We had their "famous " enormous pretzel which came with 3 yummy dipping sauces and of course drinks. Our friends shared a chicken sandwich to which they gave two thumbs up. Service was a bit slow but very friendly. My only complaint is the steep stairway you need to traverse if you sit upstairs. Beware if you have a couple of drinks. Naturally I fell down but that's because I'm naturally a total clutz. I'd only had one drink-lol. Definitely would go back and listen to a great band and share that pretzel again. I liked the down to earth quality of the place especially since it's in Royal Palm Place in Boca which tends to be a bit fancier

Last night (a Tuesday in August) we had the 2 for 1 schnitzel special. Good value. Service friendly and helpful. We arrived about 6:15 PM. No trouble parking which is unusual in the Mizner area. Tuesdays are "trivia nights" (starting at 7 PM) so we opted to avoid the noise and eat outside. While the temperature had to be in the high 80's there were multiple fans so we made the right decision. I suspect after 8 PM the place gets a young and boisterous crowd. You either buy into the atmosphere or you don't.

( Rating : 1-10 ) Cocktail: Cucumber Basil Martini: (Rating…read more5.5) Martini was a bit weak-not filled to the rim-not super cold- would have preferred it to be a tad bit stronger & I like my Martinis very very very cold with ice bits-I would suggest serving a chilled glass with your martini shaken and poured to the rim at the table. Appetizer: eggplant rolantini (Rating 9) very rich and decadent ricotta cheese filling with mozzarella and a hint of pungent cheese-perhaps-blue or Gorgonzola- tomato sauce tasty-eggplant, sliced thin, tender and very delicious. One of the best eggplant rolantinis I've ever had. Cimichuri skirt steak: (Rating 8.8) steak was tender, and cooked to perfection. Flavor was good but could've been a little bit more flavorful. Nice piece of meat though and cooked very well. Branzino: (Rating 9) Delicious and very very very FRESH fish. So good. So fresh. Service was good- dad made a mess on the table with red sauce- wished they had put a white napkin over it before serving dessert. Ambiance was classy & elegant. Huge bar area.
