Nomade is serious the best restaurant I've ever been to. The whole staff was super nice and knowledgeable. The 2 girls at the front were super sweet and even checked on my table a few times, honestly looked like sisters and recommended the beef empanadas and lomo saltado which was AMAZING. My server was very nice as well, and very attentive. The beef carpaccio and the branzino were perfection. We also got the escargo which is very unique because I never see that anywhere and it was surprisingly beyond tasty. The vibes of the restaurant were so nice and I want to come back to sit at the lounge area we have. Beautiful restaurant, easy parking, and good food. I'd return to try more but not in a particular hurry to do so because while the food was good there was nothing that I felt was so amazing I don't mind the price tag. I'll probably try happy hour to sample more. Oysters were good but probably some of the tiniest I've ever had and the flavor didn't help compensate for that. Tuna avocado bomb in puri puri shells were good but not amazing. They weren't the flavor bomb I expected and I couldn't help compare them to ones I've had at Stage which are amazing! So sad that place is gone. Lamb lollipops were cooked perfectly to my liking and very tender. They came on top of a fresh corn relish with cilantro but the lamb itself could've used a touch of salt. Peking duck pancakes were good and flavorful but nothing special. Chocolate hazelnut mousse was ok. The texture wasn't as creamy as I would've expected and there weren't a lot of layered flavors. What made this work were the macerated strawberries but they were served whole so you had to cut them with your spoon to have enough for each bite of the mousse which was cumbersome. Service was ok. What a fantastic first visit! Sat at the bar with Emily and Vinny, they were both friendly and quick to say hi! We had spicy margaritas for happy hour and tried 3/4 different happy hour apps. That happy hour tacos are small so vinny suggested we do 2 orders. The flavor was delicious, but they are bite size tacos, glad he told us. We also tried the duck pancakes and carpaccio since both bartenders recommended that to us separately. Maybe the best beef carpaccio I've ever had. We met friends for dinner here. The food was excellent. As in wow! We were only given a choice of 5:30 pm or 9 pm when we called for reservations. We took the 5:30 which was a bit early for us, but we were able to have a leisurely experience. Turns out it is because they are relatively new and they're still working out staffing, etc. There are a lot of restaurants in this strip on the south side of 18th. Parking can be a challenge when they are busy. Inside, the main room is open and airy. On the other side of the divider is a large cocktail bar. We had very good service from Dave who answered all our questions patiently. The menu is an eclectic world fusion with a little bit of everything -- Peruvian, southern, American, Chinese, Mediterranean, et al. Definitely not Moroccan as stated in the Yelp app. Our friends shared the duck dumplings to start. Then had shrimp and grits and lomo saltado as their entrees. I think they liked all their choices. We decided to share three starters. Each was very very good. To begin, we had the fried deviled eggs. The whites were coated and deep fried and then the yolks were made into a filling. While our friends had their entrees, we had the chicken liver mousse. This came with bread rounds, pepita nuts and fried onion threads. It was smooth and creamy. Our favorite was the lamb lollipops. Three thin charred chops to the order that were so flavorfully delicious that I actually said OMG after my first bite! I'd get these again -- but not share! Let's start with the drinks the "foam me" was surprisingly delicious and the lemon drop martini was spot on. We started with oysters, I wish I could remember the type they were not ones I was familiar with. Next was the lobster taquitos, crispy rice, tuna tacos, crispy tofu, the deviled eggs and tavern salad. The deviled eggs and tavern salads hands down fantastic. Nomade has an amazing atmosphere and great service, but the food still has room for improvement. Since they're new, I'm confident they'll continue to refine the menu. Atmosphere: 9/10 - Beautiful space with a great vibe. Definitely one of the highlights of the experience. Chicken Pimiento: 7/10 - Flavor was good, but the portion was small. I had to ask for extra sauce, and it was much better with it. The potatoes would have been much better if they were crispy smashed potatoes instead. Avocado Bomb: Decent, but on the smaller side and felt like it was missing a little depth of flavor and texture to make it memorable. Wagyu Beef Gyoza: Good quality and served with a chili dipping sauce, but I think they would have benefited from being pan-seared to add crispy texture. A more traditional gyoza dipping sauce also would have added more depth of flavor. I still prefer Kapow's version. Beef Carpaccio: 10/10 - Easily the standout dish of the night. Perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. Lomo Saltado: 8/10 - Excellent marinade, and the cilantro sauce really brought the dish together. My only complaint is that there were too many fries and not enough beef. Overall, I'd give Nomade a 7.5/10. The atmosphere and service definitely elevate the experience, and the beef carpaccio alone is worth ordering. With a few refinements to flavors, textures, and portions, I think this place has the potential to become a favorite. read more

I've been wanting to stop in here for a few weeks now trying to convince people at work to go for lunch or even happy hour and it hasn't quite worked out. Tonight a friend who trusts me to take her wherever I've been dying to go to came with me for happy hour after work. It's a beautiful place, once she walked in she immediately said this place was so me. We both got the Foam Me cocktails off the menu and it was delicious we both got a few of those and shared some dishes off the HH menu as well. The tacos and the chicken were cooked to perfection, packed with flavor and if we both didn't have errands to run we could have sat here all night. I took the Lomo Saltado to go and ate it at home. The fries are amazing which I usually don't like with my lomo, the meat was tender and delicious. And the dish overall was the perfect portion. Knowing the former location and what was there, the improvements were really noticeable and I like what they did the (Bartender) was awesome and the staff was great. My calamari salad was just OK. The salad portion was excellent. The calamari tasted old and was way too cooked my wife had a ceviche and it was good, but not great. I didn't mind paying extra for the bread and it was delicious. I must say this restaurant does have a lot of potential but not tonight we had 7 o'clock reservation. The restaurant is beautifully appointed nicely redone host just was very friendly and nice. We're seated. Waiter came over brought us some water and then unfortunately, everything went downhill from there. The bread took 10 minutes to come ! then we ordered and we asked some questions and he said yes to the questions we asked we sat there for an hour and nothing happened. Finally, we call over a gentleman not sure who that was and he said it would be out and it still didn't come out finally our friend salad and tuna tcame out. They said they were not what they expected. We sat there longer. Finally, this gentleman name Angel came by. He must be the manager or the owner. He was Extremely understanding. He wanted us to complete our dinner and he finally got it all to come out. unfortunately, this was not the kind of dinner that I expected to be eating. I don't think they're ready for us. The waiter service was horrible. The service was not one that you would like. Give them some time to get their self together. I think they have a lot of potential. The menu looks really good unfortunately it didn't taste as good as it looked. He said he was having problems in the kitchen. I would say that was correct. They do have easy parking again. This has a lot of potential, but I think it needs some more time to get all the kinks worked out. i'm hoping that they get those kinks worked out. We were in the area, which is not too far west of Boca and decided to try Nomade and it was really disappointing and with the exception of the fine service nothing hit average. The restaurant has a half finished feel to it and though it has nice ceiling and wall decorations the room seems empty and cheap, however the partitioned bar section looks like a good place for drinks. We went though much of the menu and went with many of the waiter recommended items and we were underwhelmed and I didn't even care for the lackluster basic bread basket. We chose a variety of dumplings for appetizers and the worst selection was the lobster and the fishy smell didn't help and I guess it tasted like it smelled. A Mezze Platter was even worse with dips lacking flavor and depth and the texture was off and even the accompanying pita was dull and I've had better store bought pita. A Fettuccini with Truffle dish had an off putting cheap oil taste that could have been synthetic truffle or just bad oil but whatever it was it destroyed and overwhelmed the dish and it was doused with the offensive oil. I spent the balance of dinner trying to clean my palette of this foul tasting disappointment. The chefs didn't even bother to make a chocolate dessert look good and its basic presentation matched well with the dull taste and I left most of it. The restaurant is new and perhaps it needs time to overcome shortcomings. read more

Each of us woke up and/or went to bed with indigestion and tummy troubles this morning. We ate dumplings there were dry and over sauced. Soup that had to be returned. The burger was mediocre at best, the mushrooms had too much truffle oil, octopus was over cooked and even though the menu offers a "fresh shaved" truffle Option, despite requesting it, the kitchen instinctively gives truffle oil instead. The hand cut fries looked and tasted like McDonald's ( which for some may be great! ) but hand cut fries any restaurant I've ever eaten at are literally hand cut. The menu is a bit all over the place with its fusion styled offerings but overall it needs huge improvements like most new places do. I'm hoping this place succeeds since it is pretty and the staff friendly. But the kitchen and menu need some serious help. With all of us having stomach issues last night and this morning. Oh...it's very cold in there even by Floridas A/C standards. And they are aware of it too, as the hostesses offer blankets to diners. read more

Food was really good. I had the truffle fettuccine which I was skeptical about but ended up being good. They didn't have red pepper oil or shredded parm as a garnish which would've been nice. Today was our first time visiting Nomade, and we were genuinely impressed. Everything was great, from the beautiful interior to the service and the food itself. The menu is interesting, unique, and has a great variety of options, and every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. Everyone left happy.
