Cozy bar right at the town center mall. Happy hour menu for food is available at bar all day, which is nice. Everything on it was $8 and that's what's pictured. We got the sliders (2) which came with a large side of french fries, fried calamari which I really liked and potstickers (4). We had a really nice, attentive server but the food was very underwhelming. The warm pretzel came out very hot and tasty, which had me hopeful. I liked the creamy mustard, which was surprisingly thick. I thought it might've been the beer cheese sauce at first. The cheese sauce, on the other hand, was almost as thin as water. The flavor was fine, very light, but it wasn't worth it with the mustard as the much better option. I saw intriguing tacos on the menu (lobster, short rib) but wanted to avoid those since I regularly have tacos at a great place with the best prices around (see my other reviews). It was risky at almost $30 for the premium trio. But when I asked what the server recommended as it was our first time here, she said the tacos (except, she said, people don't seem to finish the short rib so she advised against it). I got the lobster, coconut shrimp, and barbacoa tacos. All three were very disappointing. And the rice was perhaps one of the worst things I've ever eaten - blazing hot but somehow had a horrible, almost cigarette smoke, taste. Massive pieces of heavily breaded coconut shrimp was lukewarm at best. And we had waited quite a while for the food to come out. A manager checked on us and offered to get me hot coconut shrimp. I declined, not sure they were be much better. But nice to offer. My mom had the pot roast. Flavor was fine and presented okay. Except that the thick slices of pot roast was confusing - should it really hold together that well? - and they forgot the onion ring topping. Her first bite, I could tell it was disappointing. I hadn't even told her I was unhappy with my food at this point. She said it was really tough so I tried. Yup! Don't do pot roast if you don't know how to cook it. We definitely saw a lot of food go by us that looked like it would be good. We could've just chosen poorly. But I have a feeling the food just looks better than it is. The menu is huge and diverse, which should've been a warning sign. Quality was just not there. Might try again to see if more sports bar or lunch type foods would be better. But probably won't be back. And another very random thing - the chairs are a bit awkward. The arm rests hit right under your arms for an average height person (I'm 5'10"), but there's no where for your arms to go. I was leaning forward on the table when my mom mentioned it - "where do your arms go with these chairs?!" We cracked up. I realized I was hunching over and not sitting back into the seat. Been to Maggie mcflys a couple of times. The concept is really cool and unique. They serves scratch-made food from local sources. They also provide local brews depending on the area. Maggie mcflys is kinda perfect if you have a group who can't decide on where to eat or has a range of different tastes because they have something for EVERYONE. The food is also really good prepared well and is priced fairly well especially considering the size of the portions you receive. If you are ever at town center mall in boca and your hungry please come here. I love the indoor outdoor seating and large bar so sit anywhere you are comfortable. Staff is so nice and ready to great you at the door. Everything i ate was so moreish, my only downfall is are the drinks I really wish they were better but honestly food makes up for it. The lobster bisque had the largest pieces of lobster and flavor was there my mom got a bowl and I got jealous so I needed it to. The tuna tartar had to be one of the best I have had. And the fish and chips of course truffle fries. The batter on the fish was light and crispy. I left here full and wanting more. read more

We had a reservation and arrived on time. After bringing us water, our waiter ignored us for 1/2 hour. I finally went to the hostess to ask her to tell the waiter to take our order. Our meals came in a decent amount of time. Mine was very good. My husband had the Lemon Chicken with broccoli. The chicken was overcooked and the broccoli undercooked. My meal was very good, a beef dish. One of the guests at our table thought the hamburger was a "little off"!! The others were satisfied with their meals, although 2 of the guests had a salad and dessert only because they had eaten large meals at lunch. We had to flag the waiter down for our checks as one of our party had to leave. We were not asked if we wanted coffee or dessert. We don't know if the waiter was overwhelmed or just didn't care. Our bill was around $60. We won't be back. A disappointing dining experience. read more

This place really impressed me! We came for a team dinner and I was going into it believing it would be just another mall restaurant, I was wrong! I got a faux-jito, with one of my favorite zero proof alcohols, Ritual. It was really good! A friend and I both got the tuna pole bowl, it was really good, well balanced and a large portion. The one thing that threw me off was the mushrooms, I'm not sure if I really understood or enjoyed that part and I like mushrooms! They just felt kinda random for the dish. It's a really cute place and has such a diverse menu that we were afraid the food would not live up to the standards. The food was very decent but nothing spectacular. I would definitely recommend this place for a business meeting or when you have many diverse diets because of the vastness of the menu. I would not recommend anything special on the menu, but it was a nice place with a cute ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating. Our server was very attentive and nice, and the bartender made drinks quickly. I do not plan on going back anytime soon, especially with all of the terrific restaurants close by, but it is not bad so I don't want to give it lower stars for no reason. We were staying at the Sonesta Hotel on Glades road and decided to try this place for dinner. It was a good decision. They have plenty of indoor and patio seating. The menu is very extensive with a seasonal favorites page, as well as several other pages with plenty of appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, pastas, and entrees. I opted for the Thai chicken salad. It had chicken skewers, cucumbers, tomatoes, coconut, edamame, and peanut dressing. It was delicious. My husband had the garlic shrimp pasta. BLT Hamburger with the Truffle Fries. The burger was good but truffle fries tasked like metal. Our server told us the fries are supposed to taste like that. Our server brought regular fries upon us asking for non truffle fries. I couldn't enjoy my burger due to my rancid smelling fries that the server did not take the initiative to remove from my plate. read more

Everything was perfect & of course we ended up taking home some of the food. For a Boca restaurant the price was decent, around $150 for what we got. I ate here last night with a bunch of my friends and we had amazing food. I had the crabcakes they were to die for the aïoli sauce was excellent and my friends had some other great dishes. Restaurants was decorated very nicely and clean! They had a huge diverse menu, and great dessert menu as well as some nice signature cocktails. Would recommend the egg roll sampler to try one of each. I've been here 2-3 times and I must say the service is ok, but can be better! My friend had the lobster bisque he sent it back, unbeatable. The chicken salad was just ok. After pointing out the issues to the waitress she got annoyed. We spoke to the manager after getting bill. The soup that was returned was supposed to be taken off the bill. It was not. Again the waitress displayed annoyance and indifference. We left no tip. The ambiance was ok. read more

Went last night and it was terrible. Ordered the barbacoa tacos and what I got were taco shells filed with tiny bits of fatty meat topped with a little salsa and a mountain of cilantro. I told the server and he asked if I'd like anything else instead. I ordered the chicken fajitas and it was...not sure how to describe it..a platter that was more boiling than sizzling as it was very watery, almost like a soup. The chicken wasn't sliced chicken breast (like normal fajitas) but small chunks of chicken. The whole mess was also flavorless. So I sent that back and ordered a pretzel out of frustration. This place was great! On a cool fall evening, we sat on the patio and were warmed by the fireplace. Our server, Megan was a superstar - great attitude and very efficient. The menu is huge! So many options, anybody can find something they like here. I had the garlic shrimp pasta which tasted terrific. The Dirt dessert is well worth sharing. Pricing is very affordable, averaging just around $40 per person all in including entrees, tip, tax, drinks and dessert. Plenty of parking in the mall parking lot, and the mall provides a great place to walk off dinner and shop after a large meal. Reservations were easy to make online, and the restaurant has a very large area of available seating both inside and out. I never put two and two together to understand that there was a Maggie McFly in the movie Back to the Future (I was raving about my experience when a friend asked me), I didn't notice any memorabilia or theme - I'll have to look for that the next time I return. read more

We went to Maggie McFly's in Boca Center. My Girlfriend had been there 2 or 3 times (she'd had a glass of wine before we arrived) and said it was 'nice'. She had called to see if we could sit outside and was told by the Manager 'no problem'. So, when we arrived we were immediately seated. Maggie McFly's is a rather large restaurant that is cleaned, where the Diners appeared to be having a good time. And that's usually a 'good sign'. Our Waitress seated up and gave us our Menus (the Menu was shorter than "War And Peace", but not by much). I sat there going through page after page of very tempting choices. My Girlfriend said 'we should order appetizers'. That sounded like a good idea. We finally narrowed it down to Chicken Quesadillas and Thai Lettuce Wraps with Shrimp. When our order arrived the appetizers smelled great and the portions were huge. I realized we could feed another couple with what we ordered. Both choices were amazing! The Quesadilla was great! The combination of cheese, bacon, chicken, tomatoes, and spices were brilliant! The Thai Lettuce Wraps with Shrimp (not one of my favorites) was even better. First (and likely last) visit to the Boca mall unit. I ordered the Chicken Fajitas. The fajita itself was "ok", but definately not Mexican inspired. It came out "almost" sizzling, where for me, I want to hear the sizzle approaching the table. There was a slight smoke arising but no sizzle. But I ate it. It was not the worst I've had. The biggest fail was something that happens in a lot of places that should not be serving fajitas. They obviously microwave the tortillas to warm them up. While it's not the ideal way to do it, you at least have to put papers between them when you do otherwise by the time they get to the table, they are stuck together like pieces of skin. They tear apart when you try to separate them. I ended up only using one and eating the rest of the fajita out of the skillet. Bru's room used to do the same thing and it's definitely not correct. Never microwave tortillas. You steam them. It was a long drive to get there, and not worth a trip so that's why I likely would not go back. read more

The hardest part about this place was picking food to eat, the menu was endless, they have some of everything and for everybody, I had the jambalaya for my meal and the only complaint is that it could've had more spice/heat to it but it was flavorful and it was a lot of food in that one dish. The Korean Bao Buns was good . The table top s'mores was so much fun and the mule flight was a great choice. Our waitress was amazing, we had a big party and she was able to accommodate all of us.
