A great Sunday outing for Mother's Day brunch with the fam. We sat outdoors by the pool with a live performer playing the guitar. Relaxing atmosphere. Indoors seemed to be more busy in the 90 degree heat, tho we were lucky with a table fully in the shade. Outdoors probably picks up more in the evenings. I started out with a Bloody Mary and went with the Farmer's House Smoked Salmon -- toasted organic sourdough bread, chive cream cheese, tomato, pickled red onions, cucumber, and sunflower sprouts. Delicious and light, great way to start the day properly. Farmer's Table has a solid and longstanding hype. I am Iong overdue in visiting for the first time. The people at the table across from us came over to ask how our service was... so you know it wasn't good! It started off slow. Our waiter was nice enough but took forever to come get our order. The food came out. He came by to check before we ate anything. Ok fine. We let him know we've come a few times in the past 3 months (about once per month) and the smoked salmon was good to split as it always comes with 2 pieces of bread (which they cut in half- so 4 halves, perfect to make 2 mini sandwiches with) This time it came with a piece of bread and a half (so 3 halves). I'm looking around for our server he's no where to be found. I finally spot him but he doesn't see me and goes into the back area near the bar to speak with another server. He then pokes his head out and I get his attention. I told him we needed another 1/2 a piece of bread. It took a bit but the manager came brought 2 pieces of toasted bread with butter. We thought that was nice, they gave us extra for the wait. The manager asked if everything was ok, we had the bread so yes it was fine nothing to say. We weren't sure why be was asking (also didn't know he was the manager at that time) We also got the omelette which was ok, not great. No complaints just nothing special, we wouldn't get that again. (Not this trip but last time we got their potatoes which were so good and a really good flat bread with figs so most of their other food is good) Then it takes a bit but he comes to clean our plates... and disappears again. A while later he has that check machine in his hand (I hate those honestly- becoming a restaurant standard but gives you no time to discuss anything with your party or figure out the tip) he asked if we needed anything I said no, thinking he was having us pay since we're not ordering anything else- but then he just walked away. The other table is getting rowdy and annoyed not seeing him either now. I see that table out of the corner of my eye getting annoyed with him. They're ready to go, as are we. We finally get the check and they charged us $4.50 for the bread. Confused I asked about that mistake. He then told us he sent his manager over to talk to us (you did?) and he'll send him over again. So now we just want to leave but are waiting for the manager. The man who delivered the bread comes over. Tells me it depends how thick it is. Sometimes it's 3 sometimes it's 4 pieces (referring to the individual halves of bread) that's why we were charged for a side of bread. He then tells me the server must not have understood. I was very clear and asked for a half a piece- letting him know we always order this. I didn't ask for 2 slices with butter- which they brought. The manager offers to knock a few bucks off but it's made in house so that's all he'll do. I'm not really happy I didn't want all that, I didn't order it and really if your server misunderstood why am I being charged? (Plus we're already frustrated waiting there, we've been ready to go for a while at this point) Meanwhile the table next to us gets up to talk to the manager who's busy "fixing" our check as they also just want to leave. They're clearly frustrated as well. Then the server comes by and asks us if everything was solved. Not really but sort of. I hear him go to the manager behind us ... and the manager says "I'm going to charge them something for it" Someone else from that other table comes over to complain to us about how this place is going downhill. They also used to really like it there- but now they're spending their whole afternoon in there. We have a lovely chat about how frustrating this experience has been before the server comes back with our revised check. So I went from coming here at least once a month (literally my open table shows me coming here 3 times since the middle of March) but I will not be returning anytime soon and I have a feeling neither will that other party (Also on their menu on their website the bread is only $4.25 so we were overcharged no matter how you look at it. But you won you charged us something!) read more

Chose this spot based on the reviews, and it's a good reminder that not all four- and five-star ratings are created equal. The space itself is cute, spacious, and accommodating - especially for travelers. It feels like a place where a casual brunch by the pool could work well. Unfortunately, the food didn't match the setting. The hash browns/home fries with vegetables came out cold, as if they had been reheated, and the overall quality just wasn't there. I ordered a classic breakfast with eggs, bacon, home fries, and pancakes, and it was underwhelming across the board. Our waiter mentioned he's rarely seen anyone finish it, and I'm not convinced that's due to the portion size. Nice atmosphere, but the food could use improvement. read more

Came here for a lunch with a work friend. I love that the menu rotates depending on the season. I got the Caesar's pocket which is a chicken Caesar salad inside a pita. It was delicious. I made a reservation online for 5:30. There was no way to request for an outdoor table, but in the notes section, I asked for an outside table. When I arrived, the hostess asked if I still wanted to sit outside. I originally thought we would have a dog with us and we didn't. It was cold and she was easily able to switch us to an indoor table. I really appreciated that she asked immediately if we still wanted to sit outside. Instead of the main dining room, we were sat in a side room, which was actually really nice, intimate and quiet. We ordered the baguette and the focaccia to start. Both were warm and fresh, served with cold butter. The focaccia had hints of Italian spices and it was delicious. For our mains, we split two salads and three sides. The Greek "salad" is very misleading as it's a very small portion, with no lettuce and it was $20. The papas Bravas were the best side. The brocollini and Brussels sprouts were lacking flavor. I felt like the food was healthy and fresh, but very expensive and something that could very easily be cooked at home. Really, this experience was great because of the service. I've been wanting to check out this restaurant for a while because I read it was the healthiest restaurant in Ft Lauderdale. The menu is named the "never ever menu" because you will never find any chemicals, pesticides, hormones, or antibiotics in the protein. On their website it says it's "good for the planet, because we use eco-conscious purveyors and also implement environmentally friendly practices in our kitchen." So I went there on Saturday night and I usually don't order meat but with the positive information I read I decided to order a medium well steak dinner. It was delicious! We had the octopus as an appetizer which tasted great as well. I loved that they had healthy juices as a drink- I ordered: The Essential elixir which consisted of- organic beets, carrot & apple juice, aloe Vera, ginger, lemon, rosemary, blackberries, and raspberries. The elixirs description read " Bursting with fresh herbs and organic produce, these vibrant zero-proof drinks are crafted for maximum refreshment and wellness, blending nature's finest flavors and nutrients to fuel the body." Im surprised this was my first time grabbing a bite at Famers Table. I've known of it and heard good and ok things about it. We were in the neighborhood last weekend and looking for brunch. Farmers Table showed not busy so we stopped in. The gal at the front offered us outside seating(we didn't even know they had that) and we grabbed a nice table under the trees. We got a couple of brunch drinks that were quite nice. A fella was playing guitar nearby, adding to the perfect Sunday morning vibes. Things were a little pricey, I got a high end breakfast sandwich, but I gotta tell ya, it was good. The pretzel bun and fixings were plenty good. And the potatoes were excellent. SCW and I dined here for lunch with some family members. I really enjoyed my meal here. The parking can get a bit crowded but it's manageable. It's attached to a Wyndham hotel, which I hardly ever eat at hotel restaurants however Farmers Table is an exception. We had reservations and were quickly seated outside on the patio by the pool. There's lots of shade with the umbrellas out and a good breeze which makes it comfortable for me in March in south Florida. The menu offers omnivores and plant based people offerings that probably would satisfy most eaters. The drinks are great as well, with an extensive zero alcohol selection. I ordered the vegan lasagna and a glass of Sauvignon blanc. SCW ordered a vegan chorizo plate. Both were delicious. I particularly enjoyed the greens on top of my lasagna. Cooked perfectly with lots of flavor. I had a few bites of SCWs vegan chorizo and it was very good. Our omnivore family enjoyed their dishes as well. The service was attentive, and though we may have visited longer than they would have liked, we were not pushed out the door. Cool thing is they grow some of the vegetables in front of the restaurant. I'll certainly keep Farmer's Table in mind. read more

Hubs and I are always on the lookout for anything farm to table, and golly be jolly, we discovered Farmer's Table while passing through Boca. A pleasant surprise to see it incorporated into a Wyndham hotel. It features a very open, spacious bar and dining area along with lovely outdoor seating by the hotel's pool. It was a beautiful day, and with plenty of shaded seating it made for a perfect lunch setting. Our smiling server greeted us and handed the menu, which became a challenge for me. Between the salads, brunch items, and flatbreads, my eyes felt bigger than my stomach and truly had a hard time deciding. In the end, I went with the Eggs Labrador, made with vegan chorizo, avocado, cotija cheese, black beans, and roasted corn salsa. And oh my, those crispy corn tortillas were insanely good and paired perfectly with all those flavors. Hubs went with their brunch entrée, The Yard and Coop, which featured grilled chicken breast, eggs, and home fries sitting atop a multigrain pancake. Farm to table fresh this is what it's all about. I was also drawn to getting their Watermelon Sunrise Mocktail made with watermelon purée, coconut water, raspberry mint, ginger ale, and orange juice. Quite the lovely marriage with my eggs and incredibly refreshing. Like I said, with everything they offer on the menu this will definitely be a return trip. It was loud inside so we sat outside where it was much quieter amongst the propane heaters because it was a chilly 58 degrees. A very nice singer/keyboard player was performing. The Chop Chop Chef Salad was a highlight super-fresh greens, bright colorful tomatoes, and a light house vinaigrette that let the produce shine. Mixed feelings on the rest. The brisket sandwich was just okay; it felt like there was more BBQ sauce than actual brisket. The turkey chowder had good flavor but was a big disappointment in texture, very chunky instead of the creamy chowder I was expecting. The ribs were tender (meat fell right off the bone with a fork) and had solid flavor, though they were swimming in sauce. Fresh cole slaw on the side was crisp and well-made. I called the next day and was told that a manager would be calling me as I noticed my bill was for much more than I remember eating?? No one ever called me back to discuss. That is a Rip off and the fact that noone called me back, pretty much confirms that I was ripped off! I will NEVER go there to eat again because of the lack of respect and not getting back to me. BEWARE of this tactic as I think this is a scam from the "servers". They know better and should be giving everyone their receipt to look at and what is that crap that they stand at the table hovering over you like you have to give them a decent tip or else? I was so disappointed with the evening.We were here as a group and it was apparent that Alex could not handle the size of the group. When it came time to the bill, he only went to one person to ask what he should do- that person decided to split the bill equally amongst all of us. I was not thrilled but went along with it. It would have been ok but whatever they did behind the scenes, he kept coming back to us that there was a deficit of paying (there were 9 of us splitting it 8 ways). We had to get the manager involved because we all had paid. And so she came to help. Another 30 minutes. This was ridiculous. She had to voice all the credit cards and start over. I really think they should have made it right by offering us a coffee or something to go... How difficult would this have been to make it right for all of us? I absolutely love this place. We made reservations for five and we immediately sat down when we got there. The menu was amazing. It had great food. It was great organic options, including dairy free options, as well as a great kids menu. The service was wonderful. The cappuccino was absolutely delicious. We started off with the seasonal butternut squash bisque, which was really good and light. We also got the falafel burger, which was really good and the zucchini pie. We also got the big breakfast, which was big enough to share with my three year-old. The blueberry pancakes were an absolute hit with my toddler and the eggs were absolutely delicious.
