I met a friend at Biergarten on a Friday evening around 8:00 PM and had a great experience. Since it's located in an area with several popular restaurants, the parking lot was extremely busy. I was able to find a parking spot, but if you're going during peak hours, valet may be the easier option. The overall atmosphere was lively and fun. There was a live band playing, and although it was busy, the staff was friendly and welcoming. We chose to sit outside, which ended up being the perfect spot. We could still enjoy the music without it being too loud, making it easy to have a conversation. For an appetizer, we ordered the buffalo shrimp, which had just a mild kick and was very flavorful. I also had a burger with fries, and the burger was cooked perfectly. By around 9:30 PM, the outdoor area became much busier, with a younger crowd arriving, but the atmosphere remained enjoyable. Our server was attentive throughout the evening, and we never felt rushed. Overall, it was a great place to relax with friends, enjoy good food, and listen to live music. I honestly don't know why I haven't bee here before. I live in the area, have been in this plaza SO many times and yet, never been. That changed when a friend invited us to join his family for one of the World Cup games. The place was packed! Bar, downstairs and upstairs, yet the staff was well organized working fast and friendly. The food and drinks at the table didn't take long to come out at all, and looking a other tables it looked they were experiencing the same good service. After this, we decided to go for another game. Again, packed! But we managed to find a spot at the bar, and just as before, service was quick. If they are overwhelmed with the amount of people there, they don't show it. The bartenders are smiling, making conversation with people, and serving everyone without missing a beat. Food took a bit longer this time but nothing to complain about. Even though Biergarten is close to us, neither of us had ever been. I thought I had and didn't think much of it, which is probably one reason why we had never been. We walked into a festive vibe. This place likes to proactively make a vibe, with music, good personnel and a space that is ready for something to pop. I had heard that it had a second floor, but in the mall area of Mizner it was in it didn't seem possible, even as we walked up to the place. But sure enough, there was a whole upstairs dinner area that was cool second area. We tried other friends bites, and had a couple goods drinks. We came here to listen to the band "Havoc 305" and had a table for eight near the stage. Since we didn't choose the table location, we weren't expecting to be quite so close to the music. It was definitely loud, so it wasn't the best setting for conversation with the people you came with. That said, the food was very good. I really enjoyed my fish tacos, and my husband loved his chicken pasta dish. The band was entertaining, and we ended up staying for a couple of hours. Overall, it's a fun local spot with good food and live music. Just keep in mind that if you're seated near the stage, it may be more about enjoying the music than catching up with friends! The main event today was the World Cup all TVs had great views and the group atmosphere was very friendly and festive. When we were seated, we were presented with a very limited flyer type menu. Not too busy for a Sunday afternoon but found a good seat at the bar. Ordered a Civil Society "Fresh" beer in an Imperial 20 ounce mug. Nice and cold on a hot day. The deal of the day had to be the $1.00 fried wings so we ordered six. My friends and I came to Biergarten to see Aces & Kings play. We were able to get a table with a good view that was not too close to the stage, as it can be very loud close to the stage. I bring earplugs. The band was amazing! We enjoyed dancing up by the stage. Our server, Steeler, was very attentive and was able to explain all the items on the menu, as they serve German fare. We started with a hot pretzel with 3 dipping sauces (Liptauer Kase Dip, Yellow Mustard, and Bier Cheese). I think the Kase Dip was my favorite. I loved the Pierogis. I met a friend here and we came for an early dinner. There is a big shared parking lot which was nice as I was wondering what the parking would be like. I walked in and stood in front of the hostess for about 30 seconds. She had her head down on her phone with her legs kicked up. Quite interesting. A waitress came up and I can see the look on her face of horror. She said hi to me and that's when the hostess frantically looked up to greet me. I got sat inside. We had the option of either inside or outside. Inside was loud with all the big TV screens so cool place to watch a game. The same waitress from the front was also our waitress. I love German food, but this was nothing special. I ordered the chicken schnitzel and it was good, not amazing, just good. My wife ordered the chicken kaesesaetzle. The spaetzle were good but the chicken was incredibly dry. My wife's friend ordered the chicken sandwich with the same issue with the poultry. It was as if they rode through the desert on a chicken with no name and then made these dishes. Maybe they forgot to give the chicken water for weeks before they butchered it and cooked it to death again. We ordered the pretzel for the table , it was good but the beer cheese rations were small. Earlier today (10/22) I texted my husband and said let's grab a beer and nachos from Biergarten. He came and met me and we happily went to grab both. We sat down and I asked the hostess what the happy hour was and she said she didn't know and that it's at the bar only. I asked her who should o inquire about happy hour with, she said "the bartender". I asked the bartender and she said "happy hour is also at the tables". That was issue number 1. I of course, put that behind me because no big deal. Then we sat down ordered our happy hour beers and some nachos. We then waited 40 mins for our nachos and watched multiple tables receive food before us. I inquired where our nachos were and they said there was an event happening. I spoke with the manager who said you waited 30'minutes (thanks for the correction) and I said yes, as well as watched multiple tables receive food before us. He said he would "discount" our nachos which he then gave us a 50% employee discount. Which wow lol He also said our food was delayed due to other tables sending food back for dietary restrictions. Not sure why that's my problem, but okay. Then we received our bill to see one beer was not happy hour price. He then came back and fought me over the $2 .... I've been to Biergarten a few times and Alex is the best bartender. She goes the extra mile to take care of her customers, particularly women on their own. She seamlessly makes us feel safe and respected by patrons, staff and management. I love to sit at the outside bar and bring my dog because there is a comfortable space where you can get great wings and beer in the neighborhood. Their fish tacos are absolutely amazing, it's like a cheesy gordita crunch, but they put guacamole in between the hard shell and the soft shell. Chicken was rubbery and I hate that fake food consistency and the costing fell apart from the chicken. $3 side of mushroom gravy came in a container so small that looked like 1 oz and was the only thing that made some bites edible but definitely a rip off. The sides were inedible. The most food I've left on the plate in a restaurant because it sucked. The bratwurst was blah and packed flavor. Pretzel was not memorable, barely decent. I liked this place. It had a fun atmosphere. It was also one of the few places open late on a Sunday night here. It is cool looking inside. The restaurant has a big and long outdoor seating area with a large bar. The ceiling has this twisted vine all over. It was like something from a fairy tale. The restaurant inside has two floors. On the first floor, there is a stage. I was told that they have comedy, Trivia Pursuit, and live music on certain days of the week. I ordered the potato pancakes and they were delicious. I recommend getting them. They were crispy and tasted good. I got the Blackened Chicken. It was a recommendation from the waiter. It was a good sandwich. I think I found my new favorite sandwich. The onion rings had a good batter and crunch. I liked them. The service was very friendly. The food was good. The place does have a good variety of beers. I tried one of the specialty beers they had. Great location. Nice venue for a comedy show. Attended a show with some friends. Trying to see who was headlining, but there was no type of advertisement on the Biergarten's website to be found. That probably explains why it was so late tonight. Nevertheless, it was good times had by all. This was my first time and I had to try the amazing pretzel which was delicious. And I also tried the fish sandwich that I opted for asparagus instead of french fries. Three dollar up charge. Oddly, I heard one dollar uncharge .. my fault.. do you double check the prices with your server. According to my bill I was charged an extra dollar and two for everything that I ordered. Again, it was a night out. Not gonna make a big deal about it. It cost a lot of money to redo all the menus. Our server was great. The food was really tasty. The comedy was entertaining. I'm looking forward to coming back. Very impromptu visit. Krista C. and I had had brunch at nearby Kixi Café, but we got caught up in girl talk and wound up looking for a place to have a drink. Enter Biergarten. A German bar and restaurant, it's spacious, with plenty of TVs to catch up on your favorite sports. Staff is helpful and kind, and well, I was surprised to see female bartenders in a place that seemed mainly male-dominated.
