Cute little place right near Mizner park with ample parking! There was luckily not a wait when we got there but I did see every so often there was a short wait for people to be sat. We snagged a table outside on the patio area which was a good mix of sunlight and shade since they had umbrellas up. We ordered coffees - I got the London fog chai. And then ordered food. I got the original avocado toast. The drink was very good. I was able to do a milk alternative so I chose coconut milk. The avocado toast was loaded. Lots of micro greens and a poached egg that was cooked very well. The avocado was not as heavy as you would think for an avocado toast though. I was catching up with some old friends so it was nice to be able to sit and chat and not feel rushed. read more

This place is cute. The food looks good and tasted okay. To have only two people serving on the weekend is not good. The wait was horrible. Several tables that were seated after us received their food before we got anything. The waitress seemed very overwhelmed, trying to manage all the orders and keep customers happy. She was running all over the place and clearly very stressed. Another disappointment was the payment process. When you take someone's card to charge it, it should be processed and returned promptly--not held for 30 minutes. I ordered a matcha latte with lavender and an açaí bowl - both completely delicious. Rich lavender flavor in my latte and while most açaí bowls have bases that are watered down, this one was incredibly earthy like açaí should be. The server brushed out all the clumps. The drinks are all well crafted and delicious. My server Ash was attentive and when I had questions she answered politely. The only thing that falls back is simple dishes such as an over hard egg. Eggs aren't complicated but it seems like you shouldn't go there for basic dishes. Eggs were way over done. I've been to kixi many times but this was a very terrible time which was disappointing because I brought friends with me from down south! It smelt very nasty and off in there, I wasn't sure if it was the food or the plates being dirty, I genuinely felt like barfing from the smell. The large wooden table inside is absolutely disgusting. It's sticky, and doesn't seem like it's been scrubbed down with a sponge for a while. Our napkins were literally stuck onto the table and would get stuck when wanting to pick it up. It felt super unsanitary. I wouldn't want to eat inside again. The salmon smelt off and super strong, I wouldn't order it again. Our server also wouldn't check in on us, she'd put the food down and run off to do something even if we had requests for her... we awkwardly had to call her over a few times for requests. Never refilled my water either. It was just a mess tbh and I'm pretty upset about my experience because this was my favorite cafe spot. read more

I've been wanting to come here for a while now, so when my BF asked me if we wanted to do brunch there I was super happy. Got there and they had a birthday party table that took most of the inside so I asked if we could sit at the bar area. There was a laptop but she said it was one of the staff's and that we could sit there. The obvious thing is to move the laptop, well, after 10 minutes I decided to move it myself. Waited another 15 minutes or so for them to finally asked what we wanted to drink. I know they had that birthday table but other than that it was 3 more "tables" including us. The drinks took forever! We were even thinking of moving to another restaurant when finally we got them. I wanted a hot latte, specifically told her, and still she brought it iced. After the long wait, I wasn't going to ask for it to be redone. And the idea was to have a brunch drink after it but she never came back to ask if we wanted anything else. The moment she brought the drinks we held her to put in the food order. Which is the part that saves this review... the food was redeeming. I had the Chicken Eggs Benedict. The chicken was very flavorful, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and the combination of both was delicious. And loved the veggies they add to the home potatoes. Also, the coffee I had, even though not to order, it was really good too, and the cocktail I was able to try from my BF was a great brunch drink. Plus the place is super cute. The girl tried to smile, whenever she made eye contact but they all seem very overwhelmed and just not giving the best service. The scones were a little too dense but tasted good. The jam was fruity and not super sweet which was great. The steak had the best chimichurri sauce. We also ordered the matcha Delgado and the signature souflee pancakes. Those pancakes were fabulous- the banana on the side was such a great addition. Immediately we were taken by the beautiful plants (both real and fake) and were thankful for the covered patio. We all absolutely loved everything we ordered, but here are some faves: - Matcha Dalgona: this caffeinated drink is one of their signatures for a reason! They use ceremonial grade matcha with milk and top it with a sweetened whipped coffee topping. It's then decadently topped with gold flakes. It's delicious and very photo worthy! - Soufflé pancakes. These are small and stacked and very worth sharing!! I got ours plain, but they also have chocolate chip. - Smoked salmon avocado toast: this one is also topped with a perfectly poached egg and I really appreciate the toast slice because it's perfectly toasted and not tooooo thick. There is an outdoor area but it's a worn down patio area. Inside and outside do not match at all. You want to sit inside so you can enjoy the decor and take pictures. Service- attentive, nice and offered good recommendations. Food- mediocre at best. Everything was decently priced. A few drinks, three meals, and a side was about $100. The item that's heavily advertised are the soufflé pancakes and they tasted awful, very "eggy". The fried chicken and waffle was ok. I've had better. The fries were truffle and had no taste. So we had to request them 2x. No butter, jelly or preserves were offered for the toast and I had to request it. The Dalgona took too much effort to enjoy. I felt like I was stirring my life away. We went there to try their pancakes. The pancakes look better than they taste. You have to order them 20-30 minutes in advance; I was told for them to make them. The scones were incredible , they were soft and flakey on the inside and had a nice caramelized shell on the outside. The chia pudding was a very clean, but delicious start. I had the croissant waffles covered in Nutella and a brûlée banana. It was buttery , flakey, and incredibly rich. My wife had the soufflé pancakes, they were soft and fluffy, but a bit too eggy for me and not worth the price and additional wait time for them to whip up a batch. I had the French toast with a hazelnut latte, and my partner had the chicken and croissant waffles with the butterfly tea lemonade (I believe that's what it was called). Everything was delicious, and our server was super sweet and attentive. The cafe itself is really cute inside, which added to the overall experience. Giving four stars because, while the host was kind, she seemed a bit overwhelmed when seating people.
