Took a cappuccino and was super yummy. The cafe is super cute and chill vibes with good music.

Great experience overall! I was really excited to try this new spot, and it did not disappoint. We were greeted right away by friendly staff who took the time to chat with us. At the front, they have a selection of adorable house made pastries and baked goods. They have a unique flattened croissant/cookie that is warm & delicious. The menu offers a nice variety of sandwiches, coffees, omelets, flatbreads, and snacks. The atmosphere is chic and posh. I especially loved the green couch (pictured). It's a perfect place for coffee dates, breakfast or lunch, or even getting some "work from home" time in.

It's 4 am and I'm wired and wide awake. Suffice it to say that my iced coffee was NOT decaf as it was supposed to be. But let me start at the beginning. We've been to this shopping center to many of the businesses and restaurants over the years. So we were familiar with the area. After seeing Daren R's review, we'd bookmarked this location. The place has been open less than a year. According to one of the servers, this is the company's first location in Florida, but there are several open or soon to be open franchises in New York. The shopping center is quite popular and was busy during lunchtime. We were able to find a parking spot not too far of a walk away. We came inside and saw that there was an area to line up in to order. However, we couldn't see the menu on the wall above the counter, so we moved to the middle area -- along with four other people to read what they had to offer ... then got back in line as they did, as well. The gal at the register was a trainee and had to stop and ask someone about several things as we were trying to order. She told me the only decaf coffee they had was "regular", so I ordered an iced decaf regular, 12 ounce. I ordered a salad. My husband ordered an iced chai latte, 16 ounce, and an open faced sandwich. We paid and were given a number to place on the table. It took about fifteen minutes to get our food and drinks. The drinks came first. They were the same size even though I'd gotten a small. My cup was marked Americano, decaf, and was full to the brim. I got up and got some more ice in another cup so I had room to add sweetener and half n half (they had cream and half n half at the self serve area). The coffee was dark and strong, so I added a liberal amount of both. My salad was their signature one -- except I got it without arugula and onions. It would have been nice to have had another lettuce option. It had bacon, turkey, cucumber, tomato, and a hard boiled egg. Everything was fresh and nicely arranged. They'd forgotten to give me the croutons and the salad dressing that came with my salad. I went back up to the counter to get these. My husband liked his iced chai latte. His open faced tuna salad was okay. It came with a side of arugula and some dressing. Now that Modern Rose is no longer in the same center, they'll probably do well here. I just wish Pilar was less institutional and had a bit more warmth and personality. But I 'm glad we came to try them out. Now we know.

Lunch today at a bright shiny new spot where we used to visit Modern Rose and several spots for lunches and dinners. We got in line to order but couldn't read the menu board that was off to the left and could not find any paper menus to select from. After getting out of line and walking closer to the menu board, I was able to find something to try. The cashier apologized several times, stating she was training and had to step away several to ask other workers questions as we placed our rather simple orders. (Self, unsupervised training?) I ordered an open face tuna that came with a pinch of arugula salad and a mustard vinegrette. My 16oz Iced Chai Latte was good.

Awesome coffee shop! Beautiful inside with ample seating and outlets, I was able to hunker down and work remote for a few hours which was lovely. Don't be worried, there are plenty of seats and both people staying and there just for a quick visit so definitely good for everyone. My beverage and pastry were great and delivered quickly and they have a big menu. Service was excellent as well. Would certainly return to sit awhile or pick a drink up to go! Really hits on all the elements of a great coffee shop.

This is the second time I've been to this cafe. Right away, it has a cheerful, modern atmosphere. It was bustling at around midday when my friend and I met. The order taker was very friendly with a big smile. I ordered a garden omelet that came with some roasted potatoes and some mixed greens. It looked so pretty when it came out, that I didn't even want to eat it, however my hunger took over. It was quite tasty and a nice portion. I believe the price was around $11-12, which is fair. They have a jug of water that you can self-serve for yourself from. All in all, a nice place to go for coffee or light meal. Last time I went here, I just ordered a coffee, and it was good.

Cute coffee shop nestled in the corner The Cove shopping center. Open late for your evening coffee Fix (until 8 Sunday- Thursday and until 9 Friday and Saturday). Indoor and outdoor seating. Friendly, personable staff. A nice variety of drinks and treats. If you sit outside on a Sunday night you can catch the live music coming from the brewery next door.

Found this place today in the morning while looking for breakfast, the prosciutto, a very delicious pancake. It's very good, what a nice surprise, very cool. You need to wear a sweat sweatshirt though.

I love getting salads from this place. They're so fresh, which you probably something you wouldn't expect from a coffee bar! Lettuce isn't wilted which is important. If you want a fresh and healthy salad, this is your place!

My friend (also a Yelper) and I like to search and find hidden coffee shop gems. I noticed Pilar in The Cove Plaza area and we decided to give them a try. I was early and when I walked in I was welcomed to a very nice ambiance, even before looking at the menu. The interior has an assortment of various types of seating ranging from simple 2-4 seat tables, high top tables, plus some couches and sofa in one corner. Wide open spacing with bright and very unique lighting. The menu had various coffees and teas along with desserts and dubai chocolate. Didn't know much about dubai chocolate and lucky me; I was seated next to one of the owners, Joe along with Steve. Joe took the time to give me an explanation and offered me a taste. Excellent treat. Overall a great experience and a shout-out to Ana, the manager for an excellent service.

This is a new business. It hasn't been open long. Inside is big and beautiful inside. It has different spaces to sit. From couches to chairs. Its a nice space. It is decorated nicely. The outdoor sitting area is nice. The menu is posted on top. They sell ice cream, sandwiches, coffees and breakfast stuff. I bought an almond croissant. It was around five dollars. It was good. It tasted fresh. The service was friendly. The staff was great. I can see myself coming back to try breakfast here. From the pictures it looked good.

The location is great and the ambiance is nice. The coffee was fair, nothing special. However, I did not enjoy my food whatsoever. The omelette came out room temperature at best (so did my boyfriend's omelette) and didn't have much flavor. I needed to ask for salt and pepper, which I never add to my food at a restaurant. I know it's only been open a few months, so maybe I'll give it a second shot in hopes for improvements.

The other reason is because some items are pre-made with bacon, which could be part of a dietary restriction, but they had turkey-bacon and turkey sausage which is considerate. The service was amazing though! They were so knowledgeable (they actually caught an ingredient i wouldnt want in one item based on other items i took it off of so they made sure to make me aware so i could take it off! This is a local business serving American food with a French chef who adds a "twist" as stated in their Yelp profile. This was certainly the case with my order. Located in the Deerfield beach "Cove" shopping plaza, the restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside. Upon entering, my first thought was it's really small and needs a face lift. So, it might be considered a "hole in the wall" by some but turned out a "gem"to me. It was quite busy and we were lucky to be seated right away at the one remaining table. Our server promptly brought our coffee and water. We told her it was our first visit and she spent a good bit of time praising the chef and telling us about the longevity of the restaurant and great food. She also showed us the board with all the daily specials. I ordered the french crepe which was a tasty scrambled combo of eggs, Swiss cheese and ham wrapped in a thin yummy pancake (aka a crepe) . My boyfriend went with a traditional egg, sausage and french toast breakfast. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Everything was cooked perfectly with great flavors. She apologized when coming back but it was a little odd, we waited about five mins or so. I told her I was considering the tiramisu latte or the pistachio latte and I was hoping she could help steer me in a direction. I asked what she thought between the two and she clearly found my question odd bc there was a long pause before she said it depends what I'm in the mood for. Which isn't very helpful at all lol. And she said it with a bit of sass, like what a dumb question to ask. I don't think my question was that outlandish, many places have specific favorites or recommendations. After discovering the tiramisu latte relies on the cream top that can only be made using cream and no non-dairy products, I decided against that one. Without the cream top, it's just a vanilla latte she told us. Typically the pistachio latte is made with syrup and a pistachio butter but she said even the pistachio butter is made with condensed milk. We wanted to confirm paying for a pistachio latte would be the same as paying for a latte with syrup added and she said it would, but again she seemed kinda annoyed or impatient by our questions. Not friendly service at all. It came out to $8 for an iced latte ($1 for non-dairy milk) in an albeit cute container but it was just subpar.
