I'm still coming here for Silent Book Club meetings and it's still great. This last time I got EGG BREAKFAST CUP which is whole egg, spinach, tomato and cheese baked as a mini quiche served in a bread tulip with sliced tomato and bacon. I was picturing something a little different in my head, but it was still delicious. I also got my regular iced mocha with coconut milk and very light amount of mocha and it was so yummy. Also, during this last visit, it was one of the owners birthdays, and we sang for her, which was really sweet. The eggs are made in molds. Dishes in general we're not executed very well and very small for the price. We understand that it is more of a coffee shop than a restaurant. However, the prices should reflect this ahead of time to avoid disappointment. I had a double espresso and brunch at Byte & Coffee while passing thru to drop of an item of mine for repair in Pompano Beach. I searched on Yelp for a nearby, well-rated cafe and B&C came up. I tried the egg white breakfast cup, the chicken and mushroom empanada, and the raspberry croissant (which I noticed near the register and could not resist with its red raspberry strip of intermixed dough). Very friendly service; the inside displays art for sale and many interesting knick knacks and a piano. It has a very local feel to it. Wow! This cafe is the 100% definition of a beautiful mom & pop. The dynamic duo Aussie couple owners dazzle everyone with their warm and accommodating nature. I came here fully ready to write a 4 star review if needed. But this cafe is 5 stars all around. The sweet potatoe fries taste like regular French fries, they are so well salted. The salmon burger is made of a well seasoned ground mix. I was hesitant to try their house made dressing, but it complimented the salmon perfectly The bacon egg & cheese croissant was great. I asked for & added some butter to it for moisture, but that's just because I'm used to that. The French toast is lighter than a typical French toast, but just as delicious. I could eat it without syrup. And the cranberry / orange juice beverage is refreshing - just order it without ice so it won't be watered down 5/5 stars. A cute lil cafe in Lighthouse Point! I was in the area to drop off some stuff and since I don't get to come around often, I decided to explore and find a spot to work from. This always includes good drinks and good wifi and so after a search on Yelp, I found Byte & Coffee! Parking was super easy since they are situated in a plaza. When walking in, you feel the welcoming atmosphere right away. It was a weekday so it wasn't crowded at all and it seemed like the people that came in were regulars, with the person taking orders drumming up conversations with everyone quite easily. He was super friendly when taking my order and helped me pick up a matcha drink and something to eat for breakfast. I ended up getting the aussie tucker which is a meat pie that is hand-sized. I had to get the beef and mushroom one because it sounded so good. The mood and drink came out quickly and I was able to find a comfy spot to settle in to get some work done. The wifi was reliable and it was a great environment to work in. Overall, such a cute spot in this area and I'll definitely be back the next time I'm around! read more

This is a cute local coffee shop with a parking lot right outside. I got their signature matcha latte with strawberry cream and it was pretty good. Totally different than the other strawberry matchas I have had in terms of consistency. They used strawberry purée instead of strawberry powder. I like both versions. We also got a brioche bun breakfast sandwich and waffles. Brioche sandwich tasted good but I think the eggs were cooked on a dirty griddle because it had too much grease flavor and black burnt pieces. The waffles were very dry in my opinion. So I loved this place . But the prices are a bit high . I tried the vegan pie which I think was about 9 bucks ? And I tried the dairy and gluten free waffles and those were like 14 bucks and I felt like that was so steep for the little waffles . The vegan pie was really delicious . And hefty so I understood that price more than the other . I wish they had more vegan options as far as the sweets . The women who work here super sweet . What a delightful spot! Finally made it in here recently and it did not disappoint! Only went in for a latte and pastry to-go, but I definitely plan to make it back. The owner was so kind and a pleasure to chat with. (They are from Melbourne.). The latte I ordered was delicious in its simplicity. They use great coffee and milk here. We also enjoyed the coffee cake with its light drizzle of frosting. It was so good, I barely got to try some because my family loved it. I want to try an Aussie pie next time I stop in. The decor is homey and welcoming. Also I've ordered a 2nd cup of the Bulla iced as it was so good but never is there a discount on anything. There are more and more coffee establishments opening in pompano beach area. Such a warm and inviting little spot. Interior is beautifully decorated. I'm from PNG so I grew up on Aussie meat pies and lamingtons, so I made the 30 min trip out there. I got the steak & onion meat pie, which was delicious, but unfortunately they were out of lamingtons. The owner told me to call ahead to see if they were making them next time, which is what I'll do. We had a very good lunch experience here. We are familiar with the shopping center as we frequent both the Sicilian Oven and the Fish Shack as well as a few of the stores. This restaurant is located on the south side almost opposite Sicilian Oven but a bit further in from the main street. There are several restaurants right in a row here, but we were able to find a parking spot nearby. The ambiance is charming -- with lots of rustic bits and even some Australian digeridoos and the like. And the owners are as interesting and pleasant as the setting. Daniel has a Russian background but lived in the States before living in Australia for more than twenty years. His wife, Cathy, is a true Aussie. This is more than just a coffee shop, although if you came here for a sweet pastry and one of their coffees (or teas) you'd be more than satisfied. They have sandwiches and other offerings. What intrigued me on their menu were their hand pies. They didn't have much left in the case from which choose, but we selected their beef and mushroom pie, and a chicken curry pie to share. The chicken had a bit of a kick from the curry. My favorite was the beef and mushroom one. We'd like to try one of their lamb ones in the future, too. They also have steak, et al. For drinks, he had a cherry bottled item. I tried both a hot and an iced decaf cappuccino. I preferred the hot one. And the cookies, and pastries also called our name. We got one of their napoleons to share. Intending to just take one bite and bring the rest home, we wound up eating the entire lovely thinly layered and creamy light and airy delicious dessert in the restaurant. We will definitely be back. If we lived closer, we'd be here quite often. This one is a keeper. read more

Ok. I take my last post about it being a great place to study! Starbucks is quieter than this place. Even with my headphones on I could heard all the background noise. I tried to ask the girl behind the desk if it's always this loud and express it's a coffee shop not a bar or restaurant! She just seems to make an excuse. So my community DO NOT recommend this location to study! Now even to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee unless you want to hear all the noise in the background!!! I had to pack up and leave. I guess I'll go back to my old location. That's what I get for trying something new. I guess if I was happy with my old one there was no need to change it..... This place is super cutesy I went twice during my visit to Florida and was serviced by the owner each time. It is authentically Australian, which I'd never had before. Everything on the menu looks good, they even have alcoholic drinks but I'd only had a chance to try coffee drinks. The dalgona whipped coffee was unique and very tasty. The hash brown was a frozen one that you would find in the grocery store frozen section. The bacon was overcooked and inedible. We ordered via Door Dash so this review is simply about the food. We have tried their Lamb and Rosemary, Chicken curry, Beef and mushroom as well as chicken and mushroom pies. All delicious, my fav is the Lamb and rosemary. My wife's fav so far is the Beef and mushroom pie. At Daniel's recommendation, we tried the Napolean for dessert our first visit. Multiple layers of flaky deliciousness and rich sweet cream filling, we soon learned why it is such a hit!
