Vaella has great coffee and even better food. We have gone here for breakfast a couple times. While it is not a place for a quick breakfast, your patience will be rewarded with some of the highest quality breakfast bowls I've had in a coffee shop. On our latest visit, we ordered an açaí bowl, a Greek yogurt bowl, and an iced latte. It took a while for our bowls to come out, and you can see why from the pictures: each was beautifully made with great care. The ingredients were very high quality, especially the fruit. While on the pricey side, they were big, filling, and nutritious - together with the quality of the ingredients, I thought the prices were reasonable. Don't sleep on the coffee either. The espresso in my iced latte was a darker roast than I usually like, but it was complex and not very bitter or acidic. It was a great accompaniment to the natural sweetness of the bowl I had. I've been here a couple times already and have a great coffee every time I come. I go to is the Cortado and it's right around four dollars. The flavor is delicious as they use locally roasted beans from a shop down the street called Calussa coffee (also amazing). The lady who takes the order it's always super sweet and helpful when trying to pick out what I wanna order. There's a few tables and chairs inside if you wanna enjoy it there. Has a nice cozy vibe to it. Overall, I would recommend getting a nice cappuccino from this spot. read more

Very cute coffee and bites in the Publix plaza. The staff are so lovely and attentive! I ordered a spicy chicken empanada, iced Americano, and their spinach pie. The chicken was a little dry, but packed with flavor! Just the right amount of spice. The spinach pie had the most delicious crust. I would prefer more seasoning, but they do have cholula hot sauce so that worked! The coffee used for the americano was great. I will definitely be al to try more menu items. read more

We got four drinks and empanadas. We got the two iced cloud blueberry matchas, smoothie, and a vanilla iced coffee. The drinks were good, but the smoothie tasted very watered down and liquidy. We got the one with banana, strawberry, and blueberry. They should have probably put more banana to make it thicker. The empanadas were good. My favorite was the breakfast empanada. Inside was cute. It's small, but enough space to sit and do some work or bring the kids. The service was good. The man and women were very nice. We will be back to try more. read more

A lil cafe in the Northride shopping plaza. Vaella Coffee & Tea is a good spot to stop at if you need a quick drink and bite. They had specials when I came and one of them was pistachio matcha, which is my fav, so you know I had to get it! Parking was simple since this business is located within a plaza. There was seating both inside and out of this cozy cafe. They had a great menu to choose from and I ended up getting an iced pistachio matcha and a tuna avocado sandwich on sourdough bread (you can choose what it comes on or in). I was here to get some work done and take a meeting and was able to connect to the wifi, no problem. There is music playing so keep that in mind in case you do plan to take a virtual meeting or call here. My food and drink came out pretty fast and I did really like the pistachio matcha. If you're a matcha connoisseur, you might want to skip out on it here but I personally liked how they made the pistachio matcha. It was true to taste and they blended the two really well! The sandwich was okay. I usually like sourdough but it is a little tough to eat. I waited a bit to eat it (since I was in a meeting) so that might have contributed to it. I have always wanted to try their coffee but never got a chance to stop in. Being that I frequent this plaza, I was so upset with myself for not stopping in sooner. I'm always looking for a good latte that balances sweetness and the coffee flavor perfectly and the pistachio white chocolate was literally PERFECT! From the amount of ice to the sweetness. I considered just purchasing a caramel latte but the young lady at the register mentioned their new pistachio flavor from their winter menu. She was so kind and patient with my questions haha. Needless to say, this will be my new obsession throughout the season. TRY IT!! It's also very clean and calm inside which I always look for in restaurants or coffee shops! I was just visiting the area, passing through Fort Lauderdale, if you will. I looked up coffee shops near my hotel and this one came up. Right away, I was impressed by its simplicity. It's a cozy little cafe. Fantastic service. I tried one of their spicy chicken empanadas. Wow! Tasty. If I had a way to heat them up while in my hotel room, I would have gotten more. I also tried one of the Tostado Argentinos. I liked it. It was very much like a ham and cheese sandwich, but the bread was light. The coffee, you ask? Upon entering it's well lit so great to come and work or read/relax while drinking your coffee. The staff was friendly and listened to my request of making my latte less sweet which I appreciated. I got their seasonal White Mocha Pistachio Latte (Hot) and a ham and cheese empanada. The empanada was filled and tasted fresh. Such a cozy coffee shop ideal for those that work remotely. They open from 8 am to 4 pm. My friend has been wanting us to go here but I never got the opportunity until last Saturday. Vaella is a cute little cafe! I ordered a cafe con leche which was hot and creamy. I also ordered a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich on a croissant. The ham, bacon and croissant were layered nicely but there was so much cheese that it was melting all over my hand and out of the croissant. I would order without the cheese or request less of it. I had bookmarked Vaella ahead of my trip to Fort Lauderdale because of the great reviews, and I was not disappointed. The coffee is some of the best I've had in the area, and the food was good as well, but I think the service and genuine friendliness by the owners/employees was the most welcoming thing. They were so nice and seemed actually happy to see us. I didn't get to stay and read or write like I normally would, but the space was perfect for it, and in the late morning it wasn't crowded at all so I wish I could have. But I did order an iced oat milk latte and a prosciutto sandwich (for later) and both were well worth it. You can tell they put lots of care into their food and business. He also ordered a cafe con leche which is a bit strong, he recommended 5 pumps of liquid cane sugar for a medium size and loved it.
