Delicious ribs and Mac and cheese
    Marie Ragy R.

Came here for dinner. This place is very popular. It is a large restaurant with a nice bar in the middle. We were a party of 4. I highly suggest you make reservations like we did because I can see the wait being long for walk ins. We ordered the smoked salmon dip and fried shrimp for appetizers. They were both good. They do give you ample amount to share. For entrees we ordered the burger, which is always delicious. The ribs with mac and cheese and green beans, and the kebabs. The ribs are really good. Not too saucy and very tender. The Mac and cheese is good too. Creamy and delicious. I would definitely recommend this and the burger. The kebabs were okay. For drinks, you can't go wrong with ordering one of their martinis. Strong and tasty. For dessert we had the bread pudding. I would come here for a night out with friends or happy hour.

Our reservation for 6:15 was honored but the hostess seated us next to kitchen and bathroom, so we were politely moved. Sherry B our server was very efficient but did not smile or converse. The article was small but our other entrees were exceptional. The wine pour was minimal but the ribs were huge and juicy and delicious. The tai salad was fresh and tossed perfectly. The temperature in the restaurant was freezing and we were shivering. Besides minor details, we had a very nice dinner. SUPPORT LOCAL

The food was great, the service was a big disappointment. Our waiter was not friendly and he didn't make an attempt to refill our glasses. We ordered dressings on the side for our salads, which we had to ask twice for and we waited about 5 minutes for them to arrive after our food came out. We also asked for wet hand towels after our appetizer. The guy that brought them over brought dry napkins and then we finally received wet, cold, towels 15 minutes later. We also ordered coleslaw, which didn't come out with our food, and we had to ask our waiter for it. It finally came out about 15 minutes into our meal. We ordered three salads, an artichoke and coleslaw. The food was delicious and I'll be back, but for a restaurant of this stature, I expect service to be excellent.

The staff is really friendly. They have a great bar with large Tv screens. The place is very nice . The server was amazing. We ordered salads - they were delicious and amazing. I had the Thai chicken salad which had a lot chicken and the peanut sauce was delicious. My wife had the chicken salad. The chicken was perfect . The French fries are amazing. Everything was delicious and amazing . We will be back.

We dined at J. Alexander's to enjoy a holiday lunch. We made a reservation and were seated immediately. We were greeted by Amiyah our server who was very friendly and attentive. She provided honest feedback about several dishes on the menu. We decided on the Steak and Fries, Babyback ribs and Ahi Tuna salad. Everything was delicious and portions were large enough to take leftovers home. One of the highlights to our experience was our server Amiyah. Her attentiveness, personality and engaging conversation is rare. We have dined at several restaurants nearby for lunch which have provided disappointing service. However, we all agreed we would return and request Amiyah as our server. Thank you Amiyah for making our holiday lunch even more special!

We had an experience here for my son's birthday! Amaiyah was our waitress and she was excellent. We ordered prime rib, NY strip steak... started off with beefsteak tomatoes and fire grilled artichokes ! All excellent. It was leisurely and pleasant and very relaxing! Creme brûlée for the birthday boy and he loved it. I just say it was such a pleasurable evening- ty'

Last month I met my friend for dinner. We were sat quickly and sat in j a comfortable booth. I like how J Alexander's has a varied menu. I usually eat at the one in Plantation. This location has an identical menu. I ordered a house salad and filet mignon with loaded baked potato. My salad was tasty. It was very fresh. The steak was cooked just how I liked it, medium. The loaded baked potato had a good flavor and actually was loaded. That was nice to see because too often restaurants skimp on the toppings Our server could have been more attentive. I never even got a soda refill because he did not come around very often. Other than that, it was a great meal.

Wow that pear martini about knocked me off my chair! :) good service both at the bar and in the dining room. The prime rib is always good same for the carrot cake. My Mac and cheese was a little on the dry overcooked side this visit but that was a first. Highly recommend J Alexander's and our avocado bomb was delicious!

Easy 4. Good Friendly service with reservations got seated almost immediately. Ordered avocado bomb, grilled chicken salad and crème Brûlée Avocado was good but not amazing. Crème brûlée was done just right with decent crisp on top. Chicken salad was the best. Large salad. Perfect amount of chicken and dressing. Good flavor

Delicious lunch here at J. Alexander's! Will definitely be returning. The French fries are shoe string, so thing and crispy! Lovely. The french dip is flavorful and wonderful, would recommend getting this! Queso was yummy and so were the grilled artichokes! Service was wonderful!

This is my plate with 1/2 cheeseburger, fries and a small portion of the salad (I took more later)

With voices of crooners like Frank Sinatra dripping like honey from the sound system, the interior is warm, comfortable, and inviting, with a relaxing vibe that instantly melts away the stress--despite being tucked away in a helter-skelter strip center next to Publix. It feels like stepping into a cozy, upscale hideaway where the focus is purely on great food and good times. Thanks to Chef Daniel Cournoyer, former Chef and proprietor of Blue Moon Fish Company, our dinner began with warm homage rolls paired with parmesan pesto oil dip were the perfect start--soft, fragrant, and utterly addictive. Then came the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake with roasted corn salsa, grape tomatoes, baby arugula, and that incredible garlic-cilantro-chili aioli. Every bite was pure perfection: sweet, succulent crab with bright, fresh accents that danced on the palate. Next, the Pan Seared Giant Sea Scallops were seared to golden perfection, paired beautifully with roasted root vegetables. But the star of the evening was the Shellfish Pan Roast--featuring Florida lobster tail, jumbo shrimp, giant sea scallops, mussels, and clams in a luxurious brandy-tomato-tarragon cream sauce, all crowned with a crispy capellini cake. It was rich, soulful, and deeply satisfying, with flavors so perfectly balanced they felt like a warm embrace from the sea itself. Of course, we couldn't resist ending on a high note with the Florida citrus butter Key Lime Cheesecake. The bright, tangy citrus notes cut through the creamy decadence in the most harmonious way--truly the best key lime dessert I've ever had. Every flavor was perfectly balanced and fulfilling, from the first bite to the last. The service was warm, knowledgeable, and attentive without being overbearing, perfectly matching the inviting atmosphere. Boca Fish House isn't just a restaurant; it's a celebration of Florida's freshest seafood and thoughtful, elevated cuisine served in a surprisingly serene setting. If you're in Boca Raton, do yourself a favor and make a reservation. You won't just enjoy dinner--you'll remember it. Hands down, 5 stars and worth every single one! I can't wait to go back. Highly recommend--truly exceptional in every way! Hail to Chef Cournoyer.

The dish changed my view on gnocchi and I'm now a converted fan. The texture was pillow soft with a bit of spring. The magic of this dish is how simple yet delicious it is. I loved a simple dish done well. The Mediterranean combo was a special of the night and it came with prawns, branzino, fried anchovies, and a salad. The combo was also just as goods. The seasoning was yet again, simple but delicious. The prawns were succulent, fish was high quality, and the fried anchovies surprised me. I loved all the proteins. My half-Sicilian mother in law said the arancini are the best arancini she's ever had, and she goes back to Italy (mainland, albeit not Sicily) semi-frequently. But the experience itself, even with slow service; was amazing. It's intimate, they don't rush you, and you can tell they love their regulars. We started with the crab and corn chowder, which was unfortunately just "meh" at best. About 75% of it remained in the bowl. The server noticed and asked if something was wrong, and we were honest that it wasn't great. Despite that, it remained on the bill, which felt disappointing given how little of it was eaten, but we said nothing. The main courses were actually quite good, which was a positive and the highlight of the meal. After dinner we moved to the bar to finish the evening. We ordered rye Old Fashioneds and were served what was essentially warm bourbon poured over a large cube. When the bartender delivered the drinks he asked if we needed straws. I'm not quite sure where to begin with that interaction. The drink was nowhere near an Old Fashioned despite the upcharge to make it one, and the straw question only made the experience feel more awkward. The whole interaction came across as oddly dismissive toward two women ordering a classic whiskey cocktail. Lastly, while I understand perceptions can vary, the overall presentation at the front of the house was surprising for a Saturday evening. The hostess was wearing what appeared to be lace bike shorts (similar to Spanx shorts) with slide sandals. It left me a bit confused about the image the restaurant is trying to present. There are definitely positives here but the combination of rushed pacing, the bar experience, and the overall presentation left me hesitant about returning. If it matters to the establishment, we were patrons on on March 7th for our wedding anniversary dinner so we were anticipating a more upscale vibe overall and were quite underwhelmed.

We also ordered the Chicken (Pollo) Chaufa and the Seafood Chaufa. Both dishes came in small portions, and the seafood was only placed on top of the rice. Sadly, they lacked the distinctive Chaufa flavor and tasted a bit bland. The Lomo Saltado beef was tender but similarly lacked seasoning, and the Ají Amarillo was just okay. On a positive note, the service was excellent, and the ambiance felt warm and inviting. It seems the food might have been adjusted to cater to a more traditional or less adventurous palate.
