The hostess greeted us and sat us immediately. My mom and I started with the Firecracker Shrimp, big pieces of shrimp breaded and layered with a sweet chili sauce. Very good. The pickled cucumbers in the middle was refreshing. For entree, I had the short rib grilled cheese and it was delightful. Tender meat filling with caramelized onions and melted cheese. Dipped in the beef au jus, it was so rich and flavorful. We both opted for sweet potato fries as the side and it was fresh, homemade and not greasy at all. My mom's lobster roll was also great, not over dressed and the bun was soft and fluffy, not over buttered. Will definitely come back again to try more. read more

The ambiance at Burton's is very inviting. It's dimly lit, comfortable, with low-key, luxurious decor. Our server was also gracious and attentive. Unfortunately, I can't speak highly of the food. The highly rated General Tao's Cauliflower is just something deep-fried and covered in sticky sweet sauce. There's no cauliflower flavor to it at all. My short ribs were flavorful, but the risotto on which it sat was undercooked. Yes, risotto can be challenging, but at this price point, I expect a high level of execution. My wife's roasted vegetable bowl was lacking in flavor - I've had better bowls at Fresh Kitchen. In short, our expectations of the food were high, but our experience was sub-par. read more

Recent visit to Burtons... love the bar here... for a glass of Sonoma Cutrer or two and their excellent Superfood Salad which as spinach, avocado, quinoa, grape tomatoes,julienned vegetables, feta, dried cranberries, and lemon vinaigrette... I added Grilled Shrimp. I've always loved this salad and is perfect to share as a first course. I hadn't had their Key Lime Tart in a long time... really fantastic with that graham cracker crust. Went to Burton's to celebrate my birthday and overall had a really nice experience. I ordered the crab cakes with spinach, which were very good--fresh and flavorful, definitely a great choice. They also surprised me with a cute little cheesecake topped with a giant sparkler, which was such a fun and thoughtful touch and made the celebration feel extra special. That said, I was very glad we had a reservation because the place was packed--even for a Monday, but that's "in season" for you. The only downside was that our waitress wasn't very attentive, which took away a bit from the experience. Still, a great spot for a special occasion, especially if you plan ahead. read more

On our latest visit to Burtons, we were happy to be seated immediately upon arriving ten minutes early for our 6:30pm reservation, which was a nice change of pace since we have occasionally had to wait past our scheduled time in the past. The service was great throughout the evening, though it did take about thirty minutes for our entrees to arrive. While a bit of a wait, it didn't feel too out of the ordinary. I ordered my usual go-to, the superfood salad with salmon cooked medium. Based on my last visit, I opted for light quinoa and light dressing, and I was very happy to see that the kitchen listened to my modifications perfectly. The salad was packed with fresh, high-quality ingredients, including spinach, avocado, grape tomatoes, julienned vegetables, feta, and a bright lemon vinaigrette. Everything was well-proportioned, though there was perhaps a touch too many dried cranberries; however, they did provide a nice, sweet contrast to the savory elements. The salmon portion was a good size--not huge/as big as last time, but substantial --and the warmth of the fish paired perfectly with the refreshing greens. It is a very satisfying and filling meal that doesn't leave you feeling too heavy afterward. This exact combination of the superfood salad with salmon and lightened-up portions of quinoa and dressing has officially become my permanent order. read more

Had my first experience there with my parents and we had a nice casual lunch. The energy at the time was very relaxing, not to busy but can see it slamming in it's peak hours. A modern vibe on that classic American continental. We had two servers as one was in training. Both of them were very attentive and knowledgeable of the items served. Mom got the risotto half order which even that portion seemed enormous and she took more than half to go. I had the crab cake Benedict, great portion and was delicious. The crab cake was "ok" definitely a try to anyone not my choice to order it again. Would do thw classic or another dish. My pops loves their burger and has had it often l, he even has his way of putting the eggs and hash brown on the side so he can enjoy it separately. It actually was a nice touch. The burger can be over packed all together. Didnt see the full menu but it's a place of options and outside dining as well. Our experience was outstanding. Arriving around 3pm on a weekday, the restaurant was virtually empty, which was great. Let's address our server as they were the first outstanding aspect of the meal. Shy was awesome. A smile on their face, receptive to some harmless banter from me, taking our order to serving it was awesome. We had the firecracker shrimp appetizer in a sauce which clearly made my lips pucker, was served HOT, as requested. The bread service for two, which is $4., was good, but the bread seemed stale, as if it had been warmed too long and was sitting around. I had a roasted vegetable salad with quinoa and added the same shrimp as in the appetizer. It was a huge serving (see pics), and delicious. The vegetables were not roasted though, clearly steamed. I did not mention it to Shy, because I enjoyed it. But when ordering next time (there will be a next time), I'll ask about steamed vs roasted. My husband had the chicken breast sandwich with well done fries, as requested. The food and service were on point, and even with the somewhat stale bread and steamed vs roasted vegetables, it is 5 star worthy. read more

I usually don't review chain restaurants but I'll make an exception as I do eat here fairly regularly. Why? Because the food is really solid and the menu varied enough for everyone to have something that they like. Yesterday I had Cajun rolletini pasta with shrimp which was a large portion, slightly spicy with plenty of decent sized shrimp. Others had their favorite salads: the Harvest Bowl salad. They really liked it. It always on the menu. Another had the General Tso's salad & I'll guess he liked it as his bowl was clean. Service is prompt & efficient. Overall they do a very good job almost rivaling Houston's but a much lower pricing. read more

Came here after discovering them from a yelp event. It was so nice that I had to do it twice! The menu has a variety of options. This is a place I could come to and try something different every time. They ran out of haddock, so it was cod and I was please with how Juicy and delicious the meal was. Those spring rolls were amazing. The servers were nice. They remembered me from my unique order: pomegranate martini with tequila. Lol. Had a fun GNO with a group of friends. We were a large group but the servers got our orders right and brought out delicious food without too much of a wait. My food was delicious (chicken piccata with mashed potatoes instead of angel hair pasta.) I also tried some of my friends. "bread service": a delicious large warm roll with garlic butter, pesto, olive tapenade. The service was professional. The food was great. Our friends each started their dinner with a cup of clam chowder, which they had previously enjoyed and anticipated having again. They were very satisfied, although the soup could have been a bit warmer. One person had the lobster roll, which came with French fries and coleslaw. He said it was flavorful and satisfying. Another person had the southwestern salad with BBQ chicken slices. It was a large portion and a nice mix of ingredients including tortilla chips, black beans, corn, tomatoes, onions in addition to the greens. My husband had the General Tso chicken bowl, with quinoa, nuts, seeds, veggies and a ginger aioli. While it had a nice taste, it didn't compare to similar dishes in Asian restaurants. I had the chicken Milanese alfredo, which consisted of a panko-crusted chicken breast with small rotini pasta. I requested a red sauce instead of the alfredo sauce. It was an excellent substitution and produced a delicious meal. The prices at Burtons are a bit high for the type of food and portion sizes, so it's not the best value in the area. I started out with an Islamorada lager and we split an order of grilled stuffed zucchini -- herb & garlic cheese, tomato sauce, parmesan, garlic ciabatta toast. Delicious starter! I went with the Maxx Burger -- allen brothers angus beef, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onion strings, american cheese, special sauce, brioche bun, french fries. A satisfying burger perfect with a local brew. We all split a key lime pie for dessert -- key lime custard, graham crust, whipped cream. Burtons Grill has a lot of positives and they include; Easy and free parking, a diverse menu, reasonable prices, great service with comfortable seating and a simple but nice ambiance in that corporate restaurant type of way. It's too bad the food did not measure up to the service and surroundings because just about every item we tried had that bland and predictable chain food taste where mediocrity reigns. We started off with a few Happy Hour items and they disappointed. A fried broccoli starter which in hindsight - just by description should have been avoided didn't do it for us and we left it. A Guac appetizer had Guacamole that was served at the wrong temperate but it was okay. We decided to give up on the Happy Hour menu and switched up to the regular menu and that was not much better. A Panko encrusted Chicken was passable, though a little dull but the side of overcooked Rotini destroyed it. A burger sounded good on the menu and even gave the company name as if it was a pedigreed burger but it certainly didn't taste special and was dry and flavorless and this was another disappointment. Burton's is a good place for drinks and perhaps we went on an off day because people seem to enjoy their food. read more

2 visits in under 24 hours and both times Burton's nailed it - as they always do! Today we were in for our first time to enjoy their brunch. Wow! Fantastic options with most being gluten free celiac safe. We started with a bag of gluten free donuts with yummy cream cheese frosting. Then to get us out of our sugar coma we enjoyed the gluten free short rib hash. Absolutely fantastic not to mention our mid day martinis hit the spot perfectly. I was surprised by dear friends when they took me to Burtons Grill & Bar for my birthday. I had heard so much about Burtons because of their amazing Gluten Free menu which nearly mirrors their regular menu. For the first time in years I enjoyed fried calamari. Yes, GF fried calamari. Delicious. Honestly I thought about getting another order and calling it dinner! We also had the GF Buffalo Chicken Dip which was very good. For dinner I chose Chicken Piccata, so yummy. My friends had Short Rib Grilled Cheese, Mediterranean Chicken Risotto and a Chicken Milanese Alfredo. All were delicious. Since we were celebrating my birthday, naturally we enjoyed the GF Seven Layer Chocolate Cake and a Seasonal Cheesecake. Honestly so good. Went there to celebrate a friend's birthday and I was not disappointed. The cheesesteak spring rolls are absolutely amazing, they were the best part of the night and I would recommend them a thousand times over. Everything else we ordered were pretty good. My only disappointment was the truffle fries, they were not necessarily bad but I had a higher expectation for them.
