Very disappointing experience. The pisco sour was the worst I've had, both in taste and presentation. The ceviche had extremely large pieces of fish and was not what we expected; the octopus also fell short. The soup tasted fine but had poor presentation, and another meat dish wasn't even tried for the same reason. We went on a Thursday at 9:15 pm, and considering the prices, the quality and experience should be consistent until closing. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return. read more

I was definitely a bit surprised when we first walked in. The decor was very lively and the music was pretty loud, but we ended up having the best time. I am not very familiar with Peruvian food, but our server was incredibly helpful in guiding us through the menu. The restaurant features a Peruvian and Japanese fusion concept, and everything we tried tasted so fresh. The seafood in particular was SO fresh. You can really tell the quality is there. At first glance, the prices felt a bit high, but once the food came out, it made sense. The quality, flavors, and overall experience made it completely worth it. Great food. Terrible service. My girlfriend was really wanting the anticuchos. Waiter, Anthony R, asked do you want the veal heart or the beef. She wanted the beef. But that turned out not to be beef heart, but beef, which is not what she had her mind set on. No response when we said that she had wanted the heart. Then...he brought us the wrong glass of wine. It was a new wine for us. We thought it tasted just like the first wine we had had. No wonder: he brought us the same one though we had asked for another. Again, no reaction when we said that's not what we ordered. Okay, no reactions? No tip. And meanwhile...the server for the next table kept bumping into us. Even though there was more room on the other side of the table, he kept squeezing in on our side, maybe because it was a shorter walk for him? The food was really good. 1 star. I've ordered the chicken lomo saltado from Ceviche 105 multiple times and the portions are never consistent. The first time this happened, the manager corrected it for me, so I figured it was just a mistake. Tonight after finishing a long day of work, I ordered 2 chicken lomo saltados for dinner and got home to find barely any food in the containers -- no French fries at all and maybe 4 small pieces of chicken. I called the manager to let him know and instead of trying to make it right, I was told "that's the portion." That doesn't make sense when the portion is different every single time I order. Very disappointing experience, especially for the price. Consistency and customer service clearly are not a priority here anymore. read more

I had never heard of Ceviche 105, but when we got a birthday dinner invite there, we were ready to try something good. We walked into the spot in Boca mall. I didn't have big expectations form a restuanrat in the mall. I was impressed right form the outset though. For a spot north of Miami-Dade, its got a real club vibe. The lighting, music and energy of the people who greeted us made me double check my look that I should be able to get in, out of habit of going to more exclusive type spots. We got a table for our group of 9. The music was a little loud for a group our size, but I approve. Loud music infamously keeps the clientele younger. We had some nice appetizers and some nice drinks. The service was quick and efficient all night. there was a moment when I warned my friend that the tip was included already. He asked the waiter if this was true and he said no. He then pointed at the check when I glared at him, and the waiter said, "oh yes, it is included". The service was great otherwise, but that was a little disheartening. I think we will be back this year, the menu was extensive and it really seemed like the kitchen knew what it was doing. read more

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. When we arrived our party was already seated. The table already had some plantain chips with a sauce, that seems to be their welcome dish on the house, while you look through the menu. A while later we got our drink orders taken, and menu questions were answered. Our party wasn't big but there were some with dietary restrictions and this made things a bit complicated. The server, although very nice and patient, didn't know all the dishes that fit those restrictions so had to go to the kitchen several times to ask. Finally, the table was all able to place their orders. Some plates that were asked to be brought out as main meal came out as appetizers, and drinks took a bit longer than usual to come out. This whole restaurant is a feast for the senses. From the decor, music, and food. Everything is captivating and enriches the experience. I really enjoyed our drinks and appetizers. We started with the scallops, and that was my only gripe with the entire meal. I wish they came out hotter so the cheese was still melted, not solidified. But even still, absolutely delicious and the scallops were cooked perfectly. The ceviche was the real star though, and with ceviche in the name of the restaurant I would hope so. It was so fresh I felt like I was kissing the sea. It was balanced and zest. The red onion perfectly added some sharpness and the hominy and roasted corn added some richness. I saw someone say that their ceviche was too sour? I don't know what they expected from fish literally cooked in citrus juices? That's quite literally what ceviche is. I digress. On a rare cold night in South Florida, we headed indoors to the Town Center at Boca Raton in search of a delish dinner and found this trendy spot! Walking up, you feel the Miami vibes even though you're in Palm Beach County. Dance-y music, colorful art (some strange but unique) and a friendly hostess greets you. Since it was Saturday night, it was packed and we needed a reservation to sit inside the restaurant, but we didn't have one since we decided on this spot on a whim. Luckily, they were able to sit us immediately in the "outdoor" dining space right on the restaurant front inside the mall across from Maggie McFly's. It worked out perfectly for us since we had our baby girl with us in a stroller so it gave us plenty of room for her. We people watched and ordered the surf and turf sushi to start. The sushi was melt in your mouth, featuring avocado, panko shrimp, and crab meat and topped with steak flambé, Nikkei aioli, and crispy onion. I'm not one to pass up on a good cocktail and they had plenty of options. I decided on a Pisco-inspired drink and it was crisp, refreshing and subtly sweet. For the entree, my husband chose the Lomo A Lo Pobre-a twist on the classic lomo saltado. It featured tenderloin, onion, tomato, yellow pepper and cilantro with fried eggs and sweet plantains. It was accompanied by french fries and white rice. I decided to go for a namesake specialty and opted for the waiter's suggestion (it was so tough to decide as there were so many options) - Ceviche Norteñazo featuring the fresh (emphasis on fresh) catch of the day, mahi-mahi. It came with leche de tigre with hints of limo pepper, Zarandaja beans, yuyo seaweed, sweet potato puree and corn croutons. The sweetness of the potato and corn complemented the tangy, citrus juices. My first time trying a Cviche 105! I have seen their name a few times but they are more further south than where I live. Glad to see they're open in Boca Town Center Mall. They replaced the old CPK. Walking in on a Sunday, we were able to get a table for 5 without a reservation for dinner. The restaurant really has a pizazz wow factor. Beautiful colors. Beautiful interior. The artwork on the walls jump out and I really appreciated the artistic touch. Our server Dominic was excellent. He provided us fine dining service while at the mall! He recommended a ceviche appetizer for us to share - highlighting the taradito as one of their popular items. Wow was he right. The taradito was great! I actually was surprised that it came out with cool smoke. Presentation deserved a 100! Very instagram worthy. For my main entree, I got the lomo saltado. Loved this place! Very crowded on a Saturday night and I can see why. Loved the decor and beautiful ambiance in the main dining room. The service was great from the hostess, manager and wait staff. The entire staff are trained to make every diner have an enjoyable evening. We loved the food here so much! The flavors and how the dishes were prepared were excellent! We started with the octopus appetizer. It was very tender and had buttery potatoes as well. For entrees the Bronzino with seafood add on was delicious! It had shrimp, clams, mussels and scallops in a creamy decadent tomato based sauce. It was absolutely devine! The presentation of the dish was just gorgeous! Loved how the scallop shell and fish tail book ended the entire dish. Very creative chef! My guy had the filet of beef with vegetables and rice. Great flavor and the beef was tender cooked to a perfect medium rare. Unfortunately, there wasn't and room for dessert but I'm sure it would have been a real treat! I went to the original location well over 10 yrs ago when the owner would walk the tables and was excited to see it finally hit north of Dade as crossing the border is a pain from Broward. I always get afraid when restaurants expand as I fear the quality will change but not the case. The restaurant is beautifully decorated and the service was great. Andre took care of us, and was wonderful. The ceviche was delicious as always (I love the one with yellow pepper sauce) and so was an appetizer that I believe had steak in it. Even my mother that refuses to eat anything "raw" devoured it. We finished with the passion fruit and suspiro which is how I remember it from the first time. read more

The bar area is very chic and well stocked. We got a mixed ceviche with scallops, tuna and salmon plus fried octopus. It was really light and refreshing. The fish was diced very small but was fresh. The thin fried wonton skin was a nice touch. Wish it came with a few more pieces to scoop up the fish. We also shared an order of anticuchos veal heart. Very tender and juicy. Lots of flavor. My wife had a sushi roll with crab salad and I had the avocado salmon sushi roll with cream cheese topped with truffle oil and their special sauce. It was all good! The calamari were crispy and there was a dollop of sweet potato purée on top of choclo (corn). The fish (corvina) was soft and the leche de Tigre balanced. Would get it again for sure! Ambiance was perfection, music not too loud so we could hear each other and chat. I can't remember our server name but she was absolutely amazing taking care of 7 of us and all our questions, she went so above and beyond for EVERYTHING. Service was a bit slow...took a while to get our waitress at our table but Zuly was sweet. She helped solidify my chosen dishes to order. The children's portion of chicken fingers, fries and rice was huge. My kids shared it. We went with the lomo saltado and the 3 types of ceviche with 4 rolls. The quality was great. I've always loved the original location in Downtown Miami; I was recently there in December and loved it. Now, they have finally brought their restaurant to Boca Raton. We saw the wood wall in the Mall (Entrance closest to Nordstrom) saying that CVI.CHE 105 was coming soon but it was taking awhile. I already told my husband that once this finally opens that we are doing our date night here. Yesterday we finished shopping and noticed CVI.CHE 105 opened and we put our name on the waiting list right away (coincidently it just opened the night before). The inside is ultra trendy with Miami type vibe and just like Miami, it was a kinda loud but we managed. We wanted to sit outside or where the tables go into the mall a little so it would be a little more quiet and so that we aren't so close to each other (yeah, they do lots of tables right on top of each other). We started with their Octopus appetizer and it was delicious (maybe a little overcooked but good still). The antiauchere sauce was excellent. Then we shared one of their Cviche dishes (Pimentel); plenty of fish, shrimp and octopus in their smoked rococo leech de tigre and of course it had some steam big kernels of corn and some sweet potato puree. We were already getting full so my husband and I shared a dinner, Lomo Saltado but with Chicken instead of steak. Chicken was just a little overcooked (hard) but the fries were awesome; unfortunately the sauce was too salty. The server that waited on us and the gents that worked the room were all very nice; just wish the hostesses at the front were a little better with customer service (ask questions and got blank looks in return; the manager with the girls was much better and welcoming). Hopefully whatever dish mishaps we experienced is due to the restaurant being new and the errors will get fixed. read more
