I brought my husband and daughter to Deck 84 on Sunday for brunch. It was a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was beautiful; not crowded at all and right on the intercoastal. We ate inside because it was extra hot, but they have a lovely patio with fans. We were greeted very nicely when we came in and the waiter was just wonderful. He was friendly and attentive throughout our visit. The brunch menu had something for everyone in our party and most entrées are under $20. The food was excellent and well seasoned, with a lovely presentation. It was an exceptional experience overall. read more

My wife, son and I stopped by an old favorite last night, Deck84! This place never disappoints. We started with the smoked fish dip and garlic-Parmesan wings. Both plates successfully cleaned! My wife then had the chicken caprese sandwich which she raved about. My son had the shrimp po boy with extra Cajun remoulade which was a huge sandwich. He ended up bringing half home! I had the smokehouse burger which was cooked perfectly (medium rare for me!). The onion jam is a nice addition to a burger for sure. Our Sever, Patty, who has taken care of us before, was amazing as always. I would recommend asking for her if you go. (Ask her when her next trip to Italy is!. That is her happy place. She's a great lady) If you're not local but vacationing in Delray, I highly recommend Deck84 (we locals already know!). The overall on the ounce and vibe of the restaurant was very fun and enjoyable, especially on St. Patrick's Day. We had a reservation so it wasn't a very long wait time to be seated as well. The waitress is very nice and took our orders quickly, all of the appetizers were really good and fresh. As for the entrees, unfortunately, the steak came very undercooked and raw, we sent it back and then they gave us the same piece back raw again, unfortunately. Excellent ambiance and an amazing view! Our server had a great attitude and did an excellent job recommending dishes. We were a party of six and had an amazing time! We ordered two bottles of mimosas, a salad, and a burger platter that was on special and looked delicious. I also ordered what was probably the best salad I've ever had, with incredibly delicious salmon. As you can see in my picture, I didn't leave anything behind, haha! Recently visited this spot since we were in the area for 4th of July weekend. The whole experience went great. Short wait time, good server and I loved the views sitting outside. Being a group of 9 those were already nice to start with. Food was ok. Not over the top amazing, but good. It's a beautiful setting to enjoy dinner and watch the boats go by. Our waitress wasn't particularly enthusiastic, but after watching the interactions of some of the other servers, it seemed like we may have just had an average experience. The food came out very quickly--almost too quickly. We started with the wings. The flavor was good, and the ingredients were fresh, but they tasted like they had been pre-fried and then refried. I ordered them well done, which made them a little dry. They were still enjoyable, but not my favorite style of preparation. My fiancée ordered the mahi tacos. She liked them overall, but thought the mahi itself was a bit dry. The salad that came with the meal was excellent and probably one of the standout items. I ordered the popcorn shrimp, which ended up being my favorite thing we tried. The spinach dip, unfortunately, was the biggest disappointment. It was one of the blandest spinach dips I've had and really needed more seasoning or flavor. The fries were your standard French fries--nothing special. One thing I will say is that every ingredient tasted very fresh. The restaurant clearly uses quality products. However, many of the dishes felt like they were missing that final touch of seasoning or flavor that ties everything together. Considering the prices, I expected a little more. In terms of taste, I've honestly had more satisfying meals at casual chain restaurants like Duffy's or Buffalo Wild Wings. I also noticed what appeared to be the house manager walking the floor. While appearance isn't everything, first impressions matter in hospitality, and I didn't feel the manager projected the polished, professional presence I'd expect from someone leading the front of house at a restaurant in this price range. Overall, Deck 84 offers a beautiful waterfront location with fresh ingredients, but the food and service didn't quite justify the price for us. If you're looking for a place to enjoy the scenery and have a casual meal, it's worth trying once. However, based on our experience, it isn't somewhere we'd rush back to. read more

This place was so cute that was right on the water. They have complementary valet parking but not sure if that's available every day. They also have the option if you've been boating all day that you can park right up to the dock and go get some food. He sat outside and it was perfect. We got some cocktails that were absolutely delicious. My favorite was the sweet Thai chili barbecue wings. The sauce was great and it was absolutely delicious. A great happy hour spot with a fun vibe located right on the intercoastal waterway in Delray Beach. Lots of outdoor seating with great views, pleasant and prompt service, cheap drinks and cheap food. I only had time for a quick drink - $6 for a Bacardi and Coke I wish I had been able to order some food from their happy hour menu - about a half dozen options, all but one $10 or less - as the food being served looked delicious. The brunch menu was quite extensive and offers plenty of options for everyone. Although on this visit we stopped by to grab a few drinks and enjoy the live music on the way to the beach. I will definitely be back here. As the music and vibe was a great time. The staff is super friendly and quick to help, if you get a high top in the back they are super quick to come over and check on you often. For the third time, I thoroughly enjoyed my go-to meal: the roasted beet and goat cheese mascarpone salad topped with medium-cooked roasted salmon. The salad is beautifully layered with creamy mascarpone at the base, followed by a thin bed of arugula, red and yellow roasted beets, roasted baby carrots, toasted pistachios, goat cheese crumbles, and a lemon herb vinaigrette. I love the ingredient ratio, as it's heavy on the earthy beets with just the right amount of creamy cheese to complement the greens. While there seemed to be slightly less mascarpone than last time, it actually worked well since the dish has enough cheese either way, though I would have appreciated a few more crumbled pistachios on top. My salmon portion was generous and perfectly prepared. This remains my definitive order unless a new seasonal salad option appears. The rest of the family enjoyed their meals as well. My grandma was very happy with her Greek chicken dish from the specials menu, which was a substantial portion featuring two chicken and vegetable skewers, rice, pita, Greek salad, and a green sauce. I tried a piece of her chicken and it was quite juicy! My brother opted for the chicken parmesan; while he found the vodka pasta excellent, he was slightly disappointed by the thinness and basic taste of the chicken. Service is always friendly and they have the best chicken wings in Delray Beach. They used to have sushi but I no longer see it on the menu. Wow! I placed a pick up order for a blackened chicken Cobb salad. It ran me $25 & was ready in 15 minutes. I previously had the same salad with the regular chicken & I need to emphasize MAKE SURE YOU GET BLACKENED. The blackened chicken is really good. The regular chicken was not it for me. On to the salad, phenomenal! They put a nice, huge slice of fresh ripe avocado. The egg is boiled and not freezing cold. The tomatoes are diced fresh. My family and I love this place! We are not locals, but we drive ~1 hour to come here on occasions since we tried it on vacation once. The last couple of times we've been there was live music (on Sunday starting at 2 pm) which is the cherry on top as my kid loves it! The service is always great, and the food is just perfect. Came to Deck 84 with an old friend thinking we'd get a nice waterside view Downtown Delray. They sat us outside but the "view" wasn't remotely worth the heat with the small fan so we moved inside. Service was good, patient as we caught up while slowly perusing the menu. I stated with a piña colada. It was marketed as frozen but it was more icy and separated. It was just OK. We ordered the spinach dip (3.5/5), I had the grilled fish tacos and he had a burger. I'll say idk why I went with grilled over fried, guess trying to save a few calories but it did nothing for my tongue. The fish actually wasn't that flaky and tacos didn't have much flavor. We went on a Sunday and they had a too loud band outside. But nice little vibe, was good being on the inside so we weren't subjected to the band the whole time there. She raved about them. My husband and another friend ordered smash burgers. My husband said his was delicious. He added pickled jalapeños to his as well. I went there for brunch with a big group as you can see in the picture. We were celebrating a successful fundraising for a nonprofit organization. Austin was our server and he made the experience great for all of us. I had the Calamari and chicken for starters. Calamari were 10/10. Definitely recommend. The chicken wad a little salty to taste but still good. I end up having the smash burger and devoured it in minutes!!! So good!! The atmosphere is very nice. Open fresh air restaurant. This place is wonderful for brunch, and also great for family gatherings. Inside of the restaurant is very contemporary, and it has a warm beach atmosphere. Outside is a little more lively with live music on certain days. The restaurant has a lot of seating inside, and out, along with a nice size bar. We were assisted right away after being seated, and the one thing I noticed immediately was the amount of staff members working. It seemed as though every table was being waited on rapidly and there was no long wait time. Thought I didn't get to try a variety of menu item, I did have a mojito, (mocktail) and from the appetizer menu I tried the carb cake, which was delicious. This place is definitely doing it right, from the time we were seated till we left, there was a steady flow of patrons in and out consistently. Like that it's easy to get to and not as congested as some of the other restaurants on the Ave Inside seating as well as outside, deck seating with multiple bars. Super good went here on a whim and it was worth it. Got to sit next to the water, but still inside. I think our Server was a little overwhelmed because she didn't come back very often to check on us, but the food was amazing! A little bit pricey, but you get what you get in this area. Parking for us was easy, but I could see how it would be a little hectic and disappointing. The male barback (beard/backwards hat) was rude and dismissive making me not want to come here again and steer everyone away. He literally refused me a beer as I wasn't drinking it in the correct location. The fish tacos were dry, expensive, and tasteless. The rice and beans overcooked. While they have Screaming Reels on tap and a good happy hour, I would recommend avoiding if you want to eat or be appreciated as a customer as the food is better anywhere else. read more
