The location is excellent. You will definitely get that Florida outside on the water vibe. There were 5 in our party and the service was excellent. The food was delicious - 3 of us had the fish and chips and we all loved it. Done perfectly - and the fish was fresh and moist. The reason for a 4 and not a 5 is two fold. The prices are a bit high. But I guess the location can get the higher prices. The other was where we were seated. We were outside but near a metal ramp. The work staff repeatedly came by with metal carts and made no attempt to go up the ramp slowly or quietly. The clanging was loud enough to stop our conversation every time. I have been here many times. I am the guest of people that would be considered regulars for years. We came tonight because it was 'grouper night'. I ordered the special, which was in a butter sauce with Brussels sprouts and potatoes. Our waitress, who was very loud and curse, came back to table, saying they were out of the sides that came with the grouper. I asked to sub spinach and mashed potatoes. She said they would both be up charges, 20.00 Eventually the potatoes were included, but the spinach was 9.00. The grouper was small, dry, and it came with the sides I didn't want. The seating is spot on. With a guitar player next to a couch. Just lovely! . They seated inside right next to a window that we could see the inter coastal. We had a good meal here. Not fantastic, but good. We came for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We'd made reservations which we'd highly recommend as they were quite busy on a Friday evening. The valet was backed up, so we self-parked in the lot nearby and walked over. This was a much better decision as it saved time and aggravation. We were seated upstairs inside. There's a small elevator to get there if you don't wish to use the stairs. There was a nice view of the water and the outside bar from our table. We had good service from Megan throughout. I started with a cup of crab bisque. It was very creamy and had a bit too much sherry in it. There were a very few thin slivers of crab in it and not much crab flavor at all. The best thing about it was that it was served piping hot. I wouldn't get this again. My husband had a Caesar salad with anchovies to start. This was quite good. I even stole a few bites to try it. For our entrees, my husband had their paradise shrimp. The breading was a tad heavy on the fried shrimp, but the sauce was quite good. The black rice it sat on top of, was just okay. My honey almond roasted snapper was excellent. The fillet was perfectly cooked -- tender and flaky white. I really liked the sauce on it. The fish was served over pieces of asparagus and fingerling potato slices. I would order this dish again. We'd been here before, but it was quite some time ago. I'm glad we came back to try them. Dining with my Valentine gal this evening at Prime Catch. We have been here a couple of times before and she wanted to celebrate with a seafood dinner. The valet parking was backed up as well as their lot so we found a spot around the corner to park and walk. We were seated on the second floor with a nice view of the Intracoastal waterway. Our server Megan was prompt, pleasant and very helpful. She explained the Valentine special drink options and let us look over the dinner menus. I had the Caesar salad with anchovies to start and the Paradise shrimp entrée on a bed of coconut black rice with a citrus saffron butter sauce which was good. Glad we had reservations! We had several different options on the table. Prime Catch is a fantastic spot--classy but not stuffy, with a beautiful outdoor patio right on the water. The Beets & Greens salad (with salmon) is easily my favorite dish; I hope they never change it! It's a perfect balance of greens, earthy roasted beets, creamy house-made ricotta, and crunchy candied pecans. Every ingredient is high quality and stands well on its own, making for a richly flavored and textured salad. My dad and I also split the Prime Thai Salad with mahi. It has a tropical vibe with pineapple and chili lime vinaigrette, though it's not spicy at all. While we preferred the bold flavors of the beet salad, both were great choices and we liked being able to have the tastes of both. We did notice the salmon portion was slightly larger than the mahi, but again, we liked having the diversity. Both fish were cooked quite simply, so if you prefer something more 'dressed up,' my grandma's Honey Almond Roasted Snapper was very good. To top it off, they treated us to a complimentary Key Lime Pie for a birthday--classic, tart, and sweet. We'd absolutely order the same meal again! read more

The bartender was busy and not exactly friendly. We both ordered a drink and an appetizer to share. I ordered a glass of sparkling rosé and my husband ordered a spicy watermelon margarita. We ordered the crispy Thai shrimp. I wanted to love these so much but, they were a miss for me. Some of the shrimp were very warm and some were cold, which was kind of offputting and additionally the sauce had a really odd flavor that I didn't enjoy. We ended up eating them, but I didn't think they were worth $19. Had the bartender made us feel more welcome, we might have stayed for dinner. Since they're known for fish I had the Yellow Tail Snapper with all the trimmings. My server said it's their #1 item and it was delicious . One caution, be careful of their piping hot bread. We had: wahoo fish dip, fish and chips, salmon and red snapper. Everything was cooked perfectly, fresh and light not greasy, and deliciously seasoned. Everyone was happy. When in FL I try to get the local dishes, here that's the fish dip and red snapper. Both wonderful. The views were lovely and there is a lot of outdoor seating (and an outdoor bar separate from the dining area). Our waiter was kind, helpful and patient. We had appetizers like fried zucchini sticks, crab cake (which was so yummy), a fish dip, and fresh oysters! Easy We sat on the water and had a beautiful view. There was a special Thanksgiving menu, à la carte. Arin was our waiter; he was knowledgeable, efficient and friendly. We started by sharing a gorgonzola pear salad, it was enough for two of us. My husband and I shared a 3 pound lobster that was cracked nicely and easy to devour. The ambiance is A+ without a doubt! Dining on the intracoastal on a nice day is heavenly! The food I'd rate a C. I ordered the poke bowl. It was mostly rice with tiny tidbits of ahi tuna on top and cucumber slices. Several fancy homemade potato "chips" adorned the bowl. They were tasty. My friend had the chicken sandwich with pesto and mozzarella on focaccia bread. The chicken was tough and difficult to eat as a sandwich. My other friend had the beet salad. She said it was good but had too much of their homemade ricotta in the salad and too many toasted pecans. The service was good, not great. The prices, for lunch, were steep. But, you're paying for the location. If I ever return, it will be for a drink only. read more

my friends and I (who all eat oysters very regularly ) went to eat oysters a couple days ago and all of us got very sick. Severe G.I. problems and vomiting. We called to let the restaurant know, but they essentially gaslit us and told us that no one else had called to report feeling sick. However, they assured us that they would investigate... they offered us no resolution whatsoever. I understand that oysters have a potential for contaminated, and I am more disappointed in the response of the restaurant, then getting sick. Between the three of us, we got the Seared Local Mahi, Florida Mahi (blackened), and one other entree--all are pictured. Mine was quite tasty and very good. The blackened was decent. The other entree was decent. On account of Mother's Day, a 54th wedding anniversary, and a birthday, they gave us a slice of coconut cream pie gratis. It was outstanding. Bread was also served, I believe. The price point is higher, which makes a tough bar to clear (value concerns). For this reason, I'm giving 4 stars.
