Calamari alla Vodka -- tentacles the best part
    Gillian C.

I admit to trying only two menu items, but I saw other food being eaten by people next to and near me at the outside bar. One man's salmon was dry, according to him. The setting, like all South FL Intracoastal restaurants, is lovely. It's very nice. You can sip a drink and watch boats go by. It's just a bummer that many of these picturesque places seem to skate by on their location. Prime Catch is SO expensive. I looked over the whole menu. I mean, we all know lobster rolls are pricy, but $46 is a bit much, and the $65 NY Strip is the same price as Ruth's Chris Strip, and I know Ruth's steak is better. Baby zucchini fries were ok, but the batter was overcooked. I did like the aioli topping. The calamari alla vodka was an interesting idea, but the rings weren't hot or crispy enough. The tentacles were good, and I asked for extra when I placed the order, but the bartender said it's pre-portioned and you can't do that. Disappointing. The bartender was competent and nice, and the drinks were decent. It's pretty and it's fine. Just bring a fat wallet and don't expect gourmet food.

A really lovely restaurant experience. Free valet parking, well lighted interior space, beautiful outdoor space overlooking the water. We were seated right away, given menus (food, drinks) and given a few moments to peruse. Ordered drinks, which were brought out quickly. Given a basket of good rolls and butter. Ordered soups...N.E. clam chowder and crab bisque. Both very tasty although the bisque could have used a bit more crab in it. Then we had fried halibut and sautéed red snapper. Both were really delicious. Cooked perfectly. Waitstaff was super attentive and pleasant. Will definitely be back here!

Beautiful views for waterfront dining. We sat outside on a high top for happy hour, and it was quite pleasant. Smashburger, fried calamari and fried zucchini was all a bit heavy and just meh. The calamari was a little fishy and the marinara too much oregano imo. Next time we will stick with seafood.

The view is breathtaking! The food is delicious with isn't portions and the drinks are delicious! Highly recommended

This restaurant is one of my favorite places to go for lunch but be sure to make a reservation because it really is always packed. They have so much seating. The indoor is great, but the outdoor is the best. They have a really nice bark overlooking the water. The lemonade is absolutely delicious and it is super fresh. They also provide you with bread to start out. The menu is great for diverse salads or fresh catches where you can have it broiled grilled or blackened. I decided to go with the blackened snapper. They also have a delicious coconut rice dish. The fish and chips, of course are always a crowd pleaser. Overall, it's one of my favorite places. The prices are a little high however it's worth it.

When dining at this favorite dining spot on the inter-coastal waterway, eating on their deck is a must, when possible. Comfortable seating and a view of the water makes your dining experience a pleasure. The menu is varied but their seafood choices are my 'go to's'. One of my favorites is their grilled octopus, served over Yukon gold potatoes and delicate greens. The service has been excellent with each visit .. The adult Beverage list is extensive with wines, and specialty cocktails to choose from.

    Pre Valentine's Dinner

Dining with my Valentine gal this evening at Prime Catch. We have been here a couple of times before and she wanted to celebrate with a seafood dinner. The valet parking was backed up as well as their lot so we found a spot around the corner to park and walk. We were seated on the second floor with a nice view of the Intracoastal waterway. Our server Megan was prompt, pleasant and very helpful. She explained the Valentine special drink options and let us look over the dinner menus. I had the Caesar salad with anchovies to start and the Paradise shrimp entrée on a bed of coconut black rice with a citrus saffron butter sauce which was good. Glad we had reservations! This place fills up fast and stays busy. The Prime Island, floating bar, offers a Happy Hour drink and food menu M-F, 3pm to 6pm.

We had a good meal here. Not fantastic, but good. We came for an early Valentine's Day dinner. We'd made reservations which we'd highly recommend as they were quite busy on a Friday evening. The valet was backed up, so we self-parked in the lot nearby and walked over. This was a much better decision as it saved time and aggravation. We were seated upstairs inside. There's a small elevator to get there if you don't wish to use the stairs. There was a nice view of the water and the outside bar from our table. We had good service from Megan throughout. I started with a cup of crab bisque. It was very creamy and had a bit too much sherry in it. There were a very few thin slivers of crab in it and not much crab flavor at all. The best thing about it was that it was served piping hot. I wouldn't get this again. My husband had a Caesar salad with anchovies to start. This was quite good. I even stole a few bites to try it. For our entrees, my husband had their paradise shrimp. The breading was a tad heavy on the fried shrimp, but the sauce was quite good. The black rice it sat on top of, was just okay. My honey almond roasted snapper was excellent. The fillet was perfectly cooked -- tender and flaky white. I really liked the sauce on it. The fish was served over pieces of asparagus and fingerling potato slices. I would order this dish again. We'd been here before, but it was quite some time ago. I'm glad we came back to try them. Now we know.

Updated 2025. We made a reservation for an outside spot... if you do not make a reservation you will not get an outdoor spot. Dinner was Delicious, let's start with that! We had several different options on the table. Filet mignon, Swordfish, Seafood bouillabaisse, blackened salmon salad for main dishes we started with oysters, fish dip and Honey Thai shrimp. we ended the meal with Carrot cake, Keylime pie coconut pie and thier special multi candy ice cream. What a wonderful meal with great waiter Arin who took great care of our table. Nice location on the intercostal with water views.

Had a nice evening sitting at the waterfront bar area. The clam chowder was good. They have bread if you ask for it- it came out warm with butter. Yummy Each of us had different seafood options and everything Was delicious. I really enjoyed my swordfish. The hollandaise sauce was light and the crab meat on top made it a really nice dish. The Mahi was prob my favorite of everyone's dish. The slaw and coconut rice were a nice addition. The staff were very friendly - Sarah was extremely sweet.

Prime Catch is a fantastic spot--classy but not stuffy, with a beautiful outdoor patio right on the water. The Beets & Greens salad (with salmon) is easily my favorite dish; I hope they never change it! It's a perfect balance of greens, earthy roasted beets, creamy house-made ricotta, and crunchy candied pecans. Every ingredient is high quality and stands well on its own, making for a richly flavored and textured salad. My dad and I also split the Prime Thai Salad with mahi. It has a tropical vibe with pineapple and chili lime vinaigrette, though it's not spicy at all. While we preferred the bold flavors of the beet salad, both were great choices and we liked being able to have the tastes of both. We did notice the salmon portion was slightly larger than the mahi, but again, we liked having the diversity. Both fish were cooked quite simply, so if you prefer something more 'dressed up,' my grandma's Honey Almond Roasted Snapper was very good. To top it off, they treated us to a complimentary Key Lime Pie for a birthday--classic, tart, and sweet. We'd absolutely order the same meal again!

    Thanksgiving Dinner
    Vadesha P.

No one was about to cook this thanksgiving. Instead we opted for dinner at Prime Catch. This is a beautiful waterfront restaurant with a lovely ambiance and a great staff. Their Thanksgiving menu was filled with many options but being the basic, I went for the turkey..lol Delicious! Turkey and graven with mash potato's and a cranberry pickle. I ate every last bite! The drinks hit as well! But the show stopper was the pumpkin ice cream! It was a perfect end to a wonderful Thanksgiving.

Unfortunately, someone in management apparently looked at a perfectly good menu item that customers actually enjoyed and thought, "You know what? Let's get rid of that." The potatoes were the reason I came back. Crispy, flavorful, and somehow capable of making any meal better. Now they're gone, replaced by disappointment and confusion. I asked if they would be coming back and was told to write a review. For now, it seems these potatoes have been permanently exiled for reasons known only to the menu gods. The rest of the meal was fine, but it's hard to enjoy anything when you're mourning the loss of what was clearly the star of the show. Removing your best side dish is a bold strategy. Let's see if it pays off. Until the potatoes return, I'll likely be spending my dining budget at establishments that haven't declared war on happiness.
